Oh, my goodness, guaranteed to make you smile! Speaking of little faeries … irrepressibly cute and such an illustration of how allowing your real self to shine through might not fit in, but it sure can bring fun, giggles, and delight. This little girl brings new energy to the idea of marching to the beat of your own drummer, or — in her case — tapping to the beat of your own music. Love it! Thanks, Ann.

In honor of this day and night of the thinnest veil between worlds, some healing music and images for the planet we all share:
Gentle smiles and wishes for a magickal Celtic New Year …
I posted the following as a reply to a comment on last night’s “Discernment” post, but I’m bumping this list of quotes from famous Marxists into its own post. No further comment from me … just FYI in the event you’ve not studied history or revolutionary strategy. Straight from the horse’s mouth, and I don’t mean Mister Ed:
“The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“The goal of socialism is communism.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“A lie told often enough becomes truth.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“A reformation means that masses of our people have reached the point of disillusionment with past ways and values. They don’t know what will work but they do know that the prevailing system is self-defeating, frustrating, and hopeless. They won’t act for change, but won’t strongly oppose those who do. The time is then ripe for revolution.” — xxii, Rules for Radicals, by Saul Alinsky
“The tenth rule of the ethics of rules and means is that you do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral arguments. …the essence of Lenin’s speeches during this period was ‘They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and for reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns then it will be through the bullet.’ And it was.” — P.36-37, Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky
“All effective actions require the passport of morality.” — P.44, Rules for Radicals (Alinsky)
“The moment one gets into the area of $25 million and above, let alone a billion, the listener is completely out of touch, no longer really interested because the figures have gone above his experience and almost are meaningless. Millions of Americans do not know how many million dollars make up a billion.” — P.96, Rules for Radicals (Alinsky)
“The job of the organizer is to maneuver and bait the establishment so that it will publicly attack him as a ‘dangerous enemy.’ — P.100, Rules for Radicals (Alinsky)
“I have on occasion remarked that I felt confident that I could persuade a millionaire on a Friday to subsidize a revolution for Saturday out of which he would make a huge profit on Sunday even though he was certain to be executed on Monday.” — P.150 Rules for Radicals (Alinsky)
“One man with a gun can control 100 without one.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“When we hang the capitalists, they will sell us the rope.” ~Joseph Stalin
“One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic.” ~Joesph Stalin
“The writer is the engineer of the human soul.” ~Joseph Stalin

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963
Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 .
Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.
At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:
[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks. [See “Who Controls the Children: Schools Deliberately Dumb Down Children“]
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
Note by Webmaster: The Congressional Record back this far has not been digitized and posted on the Internet. It will probably be available at your nearest library that is a federal repository. Call them and ask them. Your college library is probably a repository. This is an excellent source of government records. Another source are your Congress Critters. They should be more than happy to help you in this matter. You will find the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto interesting at this point.

A reminder today of a tried and true technique known as the Hegelian dialectic, a.k.a.: Problem. Reaction. Solution.
The scriptwriters create the problem, foment the reaction (i.e., point out the problem, call for revolution) and then use that revolution, propaganda and spin to implement the next (seemingly opposite) exact, same underlying agenda.
“The Hegelian dialectic is the ridiculous idea that constant conflict and continual merging of opposite ideologies, as established by extreme right or left belief systems, will lead spiritual mankind into final perfection. (Americans understood man’s spiritual quests to be outside the realm of government control). Hegel’s brilliance rests in his ability to confuse and obfuscate the true motives of the planners, and millions of people world-wide have been trying to make sense of why it doesn’t work for over 150 years. But like the AA definition of insanity, the world keeps trying it over and over expecting different results. …”
It’s happening right before our very eyes, and it will likely ramp up, since those scriptwriters realize that “we” are “catching on” to their schemes, too easily predicting the next development.
But are we really?
Before jumping onto the next spiritual/political bandwagon offered on mainstream news and celebrating the triumph of “truth” being spoken there, do recall who owns the media. Before getting swept away in the saga of the one, true solution for all time, everyone, everywhere, that which “must be,” do take a breath of God/dess and recenter yourself. Ground yourself. Feel your abdomen and feet. Allow any wild zaps and kundalini overloads to release back into the Earth, which you currently inhabit during this lifetime. This is your natural state from which to notice any energy tugs and manipulations.
Not everyone has studied revolutions, and that’s fine, but if you have (and I have — that was a main interest of mine in college, including multiple graduate level history courses on the Russian and French Revolutions, as well as thought revolutions like the Enlightenment, Art History, and the History of Christianity) … if you’ve studied revolutions, then you notice familiar strategies and patterns.
A lot of people with a lot of money and power are dumping a great deal of money and influence to open “amazing” doors for a spiritual-political campaign designed to usher in what Russell Brand gushingly called a “socialist egalitarian utopia.” Sounds good, right? Doesn’t it? I mean, tow the line here, isn’t it refreshing? Right on? Just what we need? You are enlightened, aren’t you? You do consider yourself more spiritually evolved than the average bear, don’t you? Hey! You know we’re all One. You know, the New Age BORG! We will assimilate until we achieve perfection. C’mon, you know you want it. A “socialist egalitarian utopia” that radically redistributes wealth and taxes the hell out of corporations sounds pretty frickin’ awesome.
On the surface.
It reminds me of “Liberté, égalité, fraternité.” Perhaps you recall “Liberté, égalité, fraternité.” In English: “Liberty, equality, brotherhood,” the powerful slogan that turned the French Revolution into one of the most vicious bloodbaths in history, complete with guillotines. “Sneezing the basket” became a national past time: warm fuzzies and spurting jugulars all over the place! Ditto the Bolshevik Revolution’s “Peace, Bread, Land,” a slogan which began as a call to the beleaguered working class and eventually ushered in Joseph Stalin’s famines, genocide and the KGB. Ditto Hitler’s Germany, which grew from the carefully managed “völkische Bewegung” — Folk Movement, “the German interpretation of the populist movement, with a romantic focus on folklore and the ‘organic’.”
Here’s the deal: desperation breeds willful gullibility. When people become desperate — and the scriptwriters will continue to build conflict so more and more people feel that way (isn’t it intense?! Gosh, we can hardly stand it) — then along comes Someone who stokes that frustration and anger into a frenzied call to Action. It’s not difficult to do when people feel hungry, weak, impoverished, and unable to change their (carefully scripted) circumstances. Along comes some celebrity or a charismatic figure who shoots to the top, “miraculously” expressing all the deepest (expertly crafted) longings and frustrations of the masses. A rising star. A knight in shining armor. Prince Charming. Vladimir Lenin. Adolf Hitler (oh, yes, he was wildly popular until he wasn’t).
Insert hero du jour here.
Do real, pure leaders exist? In rare cases, yes, of course they do. But please beware the easy, star ready, against all odds, Hollywood-esque mythic hero, which is far more common. If you don’t want to slog through history texts, then I really suggest reading a writer’s handbook called, “The Key: How to Write Damn Good Fiction Using the Power of Myth.” Learning how to construct a story that draws everyone in using the power of myth will do wonders for your ability to discern (scripted) “spontaneous” revolutions, disclosures and events. You’ll begin to think like a writer and will find yourself anticipating the next plot twist. Then boom, there it is, right on cue, right on the news … or … for a really believable “twist,” watch it spew all over “alternative” media in the Hegelian inverse of mockingbird MSM.
Better yet, throw in some kind of Guardian Figure, an Anti-Hero, and a suspenseful Chase Scene. Wow, what a page turner! A veritable blockbuster. People will Eat. It. Up. Even people who know better. Because when you pepper even the stupidest, most banal, tiresome, obvious plots and characters with the spice of myth, suddenly, you create that magic combo of salt, sugar and fat: you trigger addictive eating. The “Please, Sir, may I have some more?” Reflex. You evoke mindless consumption that sneaks thousands of empty calories past even the strictest dietary dictocrats.
I’m telling you, when you study how to construct stories using myth, you’ll notice contrived mythic plots all over the place. The current scriptwriters have allowed themselves to get sloppy because so few people recognize the power of myth anymore. In fact, our soul-deficient culture is so starved for myth that people gobble it up in whatever perverted forms they find it — usually some thinly coated Hegelian story designed to trigger public demands for the very plot development the scriptwriters next need to justify. Just like you can’t make an enormous plot leap without providing connecting stories, character development and reasonable cause, neither can spiritual-political scriptwriters just leap to a One World Government, One World Cashless Economy, and One World Religion. “No way! We’re onto them. We would never go for that!”
Well, no certainly not. Unless Someone — some underdog (Snowden?), some handsome hero (Russell Brand?), some feisty female (Sarah Palin?) — starts to dole out little mythic appetizers … crumbs of “truth” that stoke our hunger for myth, flavors that turn our severe myth deficiencies into raving cravings. If Someone puts the right characters and symbols into the right mythic context, the starved masses will find themselves screaming and growling for the happily ever after. Right on cue, like a gut reflex.
Enter, the palate cleanser, followed by the pièce de résistance — that perfect segue to the next scene or the next (of) course. With enough subplots driving the
agenda story, forward, the readers/viewers/masses will get so swept away they won’t even remember it’s all fiction, carefully orchestrated to move the intended plot arch to its pre-outlined conclusion.
All revolutions “revolve” in a circle. Etymology also gives lots of clues. I ask you to ponder the difference between revolution and evolution. Most people don’t. Instead, they periodically (and quite predictably) clamor for a revolution, which takes them past the 180 opposite and all the way to 360, which just happens to be exactly where they started. Never mind that history belies the “inherent goodness” of a “socialist egalitarian utopia,” bringing instead, State-sponsored murder, mass starvation, poverty and oppression. History’s hard to swallow. But myth, ah, myth goes down easy, and the myth speaks otherwise. Plato’s Republic with its “meritocracy,” its elite, enlightened controllers … a meritocracy for the greatest good of “all” goes down real easy, like a smooth white wine. The self-appointed elite can drink all they want, and yet somehow, only regular folks seem to get the hangovers. We’re all in this together, though, right? Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
“Oh, Jake,” Brett said, “we could have had such a damned good time together.”
Ahead was a mounted policeman in khaki directing traffic. He raised his baton. The car slowed suddenly pressing Brett against me.
“Yes,” I said. “Isn’t it pretty to think so?”
Those final lines come from Ernest Hemingway’s “The Sun Also Rises,” a book I used to read every single Spring. The entire book is a “roman à clef or roman à clé — French for novel with a key, … a novel about real life, overlaid with a façade of fiction.” It details the twisted, dysfunctional illusions of the perfect romance, that ideal love that never quite materializes through the haze of alcoholism and PTSD.
As humans, we love the world of Forms, the Platonic Ideals. Our souls crave Ideals and sniff for distant whiffs of a long, lost Garden of Eden or Atlantean Paradise. Oh, how we long for that smell, that memory! We want it so bad we can almost taste it. Must taste it. Oh, we’re so hungry for it, aren’t we? We’re so hungry that some of us would even settle for a genetically modified, laboratory invented, artificial flavor instead of the real, whole food. “What difference does it make?” We are dying for something — anything — that we can associate with the missing element. Anything that remotely reminds us of our soul. Even an inferior, toxic, artificially flavored, colored and engineered substitute.
Effective scriptwriters know this. They’ve purposely starved our society of soul, leaving most people vulnerable to addictions, deceptions and manipulations.
You can break the habit, though. You can upgrade your consumption — and thereby upgrade your output. Feed your soul, and you won’t feel so vulnerable. Read actual myths and real (not Disney-fied) fairy tales, and you’ll start to correct your myth deficiency. You’ll also reclaim forgotten pieces of your soul, which allow you to heal from personal and societal trauma.
They say, “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Haven’t we had enough empty revolutions? Aren’t we tired of latest-greatest’s that leave us in the same, old underlying state of starvation? Aren’t we ready for something with appealing flavor and substance? As with food, homegrown evolutions offer the most security. If you don’t know the farmer, and you don’t know the company, then how do you know that prepackaged “food” will sustain you? If you don’t recognize agendas, and you don’t analyze ingredients, then how do you know you want to swallow that “revolution”? You are what you eat. Best to grow your own or know the growers. Then you know for sure what’s in it.
I don’t approve of the personal jabs in the following Red Ice discussion; attacking people instead of their ideas weakens an otherwise cogent analysis. I don’t claim to know Russell’s intentions, but I do recognize the script and where it’s headed. Personally, I’ve read that script, seen the flick, watched the reruns, mouthed the punchlines, memorized the soundtrack, anticipated the action figures at Walmart — and I’m bored.
But that’s just me. It’s not my place — or the government’s place or any celebrity’s or rising star’s place — to stir you into a frenzied call for change. I simply want to encourage you to use discernment. Fulfill your need for myth with the real deal so you’re not quite so vulnerable to the same old, tired, rehashed plots, themes, and characters. Eat real food so you can ditch the brain fog and re-member your own, natural vitality. Study history. Listen to and analyze the words — what’s said and especially what’s not said. Beware the Artful Dodger. Perhaps most importantly, learn how to craft your own story, even if you never intend to write and publish your autobiography. Live it!
You have good taste and amazing powers of Creation. Use ’em or lose ’em.
Just wanted to make blog readers aware of a fabulous (and free) online resource for all things DIY and permaculture/organic gardening oriented. The Jubilee 101 site offers thousands of PDF’s, which you can download for free, as well as over 100 videos. You can learn how to quilt, how to passively cool or heat your home, companion planting, how to fix a door, how to harvest rainwater, how to make raised beds … even how to build your own yurt.
This site addresses pretty much anything and everything DIY or permaculture-related, so I’d encourage people to go there and explore. If something nudges your intuition as important for you to know, you’re free (and encouraged) to print out the PDF’s for future reference. On Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, you don’t always know your exact, final destination; nor can you always predict traffic jams, detours or rest stops along the way. You just never know when you’ll appreciate printed road maps to get you back on track instead of whatever bizarre detour life throws your way. Plus, the funny thing about Law of Attraction is that when you feel secure and like you have what you need to handle anything and everything, then the need for such intense lessons has a funny way of bypassing you.
How is an ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure? When preparation provides obvious, immediate cures the moment the issue/illness/undesired situation arises … and … when preparation creates such a strength of inner knowing and confidence that our inner vibration overrides any external insecurities tossed our way by shaky economies, falling skies or quaking Earth. In any case, Jubilee 101 offers a lot of material for the super low price of no price, making it quite literally a priceless resource. I have no relationship with the site. I just like passing along good information when I find it.
Blessings on the journey!
This post originally appeared on the HSP Blog. HSP stands for “Highly Sensitive People,” which I know many of my readers and clients are. I also know that in my own life, 2009-2013 has felt like earning an intensive college degree in setting clear personal boundaries. Intuition and empathy can both help and hinder that process. Pamina’s article explains why we might want to build those boundaries anyway, even when doing so becomes uncomfortable. Go ahead: it’s good for you! Plus, with all the upheaval and chaos these days, you’ll need to rebuild a lot of things anyway. In creating your New, why not start with firm foundations and clear boundaries? 🙂
20 Good Reasons to Have Clear Personal Boundaries
By Pamina Mullins
I was struck recently by the exceptionally high number of clients I see, whose inability to set firm personal boundaries is resulting in supersonic stress levels. Smart business people repeatedly compromised by unreliable colleagues, over demanding superiors or downright crooked clients; caring, supportive people with predatory partners or out of control children. People of integrity whose opportunistic friends, family or employees manipulate them mercilessly and drain their time and energy.
Why People Have Boundary Issues
Although their stories are all quite different, these are some common threads that connect people with boundary challenges: • They are all natural born givers and people pleasers. • Their personal boundaries are weak or non existent. • Their goals are fuzzy. • Their empathy triggers and guilt glands are super-sensitive. • They are popular. And that’s the clue. Sometimes the personal price you pay for this kind of popularity can be way too high. Depending on others to peg your value is a fast track to stress. Why? Because it means other people control your choices in everything you do. They always have the leverage advantage. This not only leads to self sabotage but it can be dangerous too.
The Danger Of Approval
Being overly dependent on other’s approval can make you go against everything you value, if the threat of exclusion from what you perceive as any kind of “inner circle” is terrifying enough. The plots of many thrillers are based on exactly this dynamic. We all crave validation and respect but at what cost? An inability to set healthy boundaries means sooner or later someone is going to have to pick up the slack—and your place in the popularity polls will plummet. The reason everyone loves you is probably because you do what they want—at the expense of what you want. Whose life is this anyway? Although it wasn’t always comfortable, growing up a wild child in a small town with an eccentric family certainly put people pleasing in its right place for me. I learned at an early age not to care too deeply about other people’s opinions. And this immunity to popular opinion helped me make my own rules. As far as I was concerned, if my actions gave those with empty lives something fascinating to focus on, I was performing a community service! When people praise or validate you, accept it; enjoy it, but don’t become dependent on it. You know whether you have done well or not. Next time you are tempted to cave in order to win popularity, consider these
20 Benefits Of Boundary Building
1. Setting boundaries saves time. 2. Setting boundaries builds respectful relationships. 3. Setting boundaries increases productivity—yours and everyone else’s. 4. Setting boundaries enables a team to work as a team—everyone is headed in the same direction, towards the same clear goals. 5. Setting boundaries builds accountability within your team—no passing the buck. 6. Setting boundaries stops you feeling overwhelmed, resentful, victimized and stressed. 7. Setting boundaries frees up energy and enthusiasm. 8. Setting boundaries fosters confidence, leadership, and organizational abilities. 9. Setting boundaries generates respect. 10. Setting boundaries aids concentration and decision making. 11. Setting boundaries creates a healthy balance between giving and taking. 12. Setting boundaries allows you to take care of your own wellbeing. 13. Setting boundaries leads to a happy, balanced life. 14. Setting boundaries minimizes misunderstanding and conflict. 15. Setting boundaries gives you a sense of control in your life. 16. Setting boundaries makes delegating more effective. 17. Setting boundaries teaches family and team members to think for themselves. 18. Setting boundaries vastly improves communication—everyone knows where they stand and what is expected of them. 19. Setting boundaries goes a long way towards preventing bullying. 20. Setting boundaries gives you an authentic sense of authority. Your boundary building expertise automatically acts as a map for the people who relate to you in any way.
The Benefits Of Strong Boundaries
Boundaries spell R E S P E C T on every level—and shape the way people respond to you. If you put inappropriate parts into a machine that is vital for production, will you get maximum production? Success requires putting the right people, with the right qualities, in the right place, for the right reasons—in every area of your life. Yes you might well have to do some reshuffling to accomplish this. And people pleasers find this very painful. They would rather struggle on for years, having their relationships, careers or health sabotaged, dragging the deadweight of dead wood behind them, silently picking up the slack and stressing themselves into ill health—than just take a stand. Drawing firm boundaries doesn’t mean you don’t care. It means you care enough about the bigger picture, to take the necessary actions. It doesn’t mean you don’t like someone. It means you understand where they belong in your life—and where they don’t. It just means you are placing the right components in the right place to maximize the chances of a successful outcome for all. And yes, when you first install personal boundaries, you will face criticism. Not everyone will understand why, and some will take it personally, but they will get over it. And the wear and tear on your stress-o-meter will be worth it a thousand times over. What do you think?
Yay! I love waking up to a new article by witty and wise friend, Timothy Glenn. This one shines even more light on the potent energies this week. With all the solar flares, Comet ISON and Halloween hoopla amidst Mercury Retrograde, I completely forgot about good ole Uranus and Pluto square dancing through the galaxy. Sooo much cosmic music these days … it reminds me of that Mary Poppins song my sister and I used to sing and act out in the family room — sometimes daily. “Step in time, step in time, never need a reason, never need a rhyme, kick your knees up step in time!” (Erica, if you’re reading this, enjoy the blast from the past.) May we all have such fun and beginner’s mind. 😉
Uranus Square Pluto Part Four
All You Need Is Love
by Timothy Glenn
Uranus and Pluto are still dancing out their seven exact squares to each other as we near the end of October 2013. The fourth exact square looms ahead on November 1, right on time for All Souls Day. We can view this middle of the seven events as a hinge point, a time of make it or break it. We could also compare it to a keystone in the center of an arch, a time upon which a lot is resting.
However you choose to analogize it, we have reached a crucial juncture in our “Global Metamorphosis”. The Hopi expression for our current world situation is Koyaanisqatsi; life out of balance. If we had thought we were living in A Mad Mad Mad Mad World before, we might have been right. But to take a hard honest look at the world now, we see that this experience of Koyaanisqatsi surpasses the seemingly harmless insanity we had tolerated for ages.
The Times They Are A-Changin’
When Uranus and Pluto formed their powerful conjunction in the 1960’s, they gave us what we know as The Sixties. The human world began to morph in earnest; civil rights, women’s rights, the peace movement, the environmental movement, expanding consciousness and a host of etceteras.
The Uranus/Pluto square is now calling the Sixties Idealism into action and putting it all to the test. We have hired an amazing troupe of Divine Actors to test us. As we tap into the Pluto energy to help us take a quantum leap in evolution, the Actors are trying to delay, misdirect or hijack our evolutionary process by manipulating the energy to support their Plutocracy. As we tap into the Uranus energy to inspire us in a massive social revolution, the Actors are trying to impose a totalitarian dystopia that would stupefy George Orwell and Aldous Huxley.
The Shift has hit the fan, the game is afoot, and the global metamorphosis has been catapulted far beyond the point of no return.
Give Peace A Chance
Although the potential for violence lurks in the astrological background, those of us awakening to our True Selves can invoke a powerful energetic in the universe known as Peace. In David Lynch’s lecture on Peace from the Quantum Level at the Maharishi University, he emphasized that Peace is not a frilly idea some little old lady dreamed up; it’s not a doily. Peace is a force in the quantum field.
What we have long accepted as “reality” exists within a miniscule frequency band. By opening our consciousness to include more of what vibrates right here right now, we can broadcast Quantum Peace ever more effectively into the world.
Developing a certain other quality might help immensely: complete emotional and mental body detachment from all people, places, things and specific outcomes in The Matrix. If we play this cosmic game as though it were exactly that (a game) we could amplify our ability to hold our own, and to avoid having our energy sucked into the dramas of a dying system. This places us in the position of being able to apply Quantum Peace more soundly than we could if we continued buying into the illusions of the game.
In a state of detachment, we can make peace within ourselves, peace with all possible outcomes, and peace with the rest of the universe.
A World Without Love
Written by Paul McCartney and performed by Peter & Gordon at the time of the Uranus/Pluto conjunction, “A World Without Love” skyrocketed to the top of the charts. And even though the song expressed longing for a romantic relationship, we can easily expand its meaning to another level.
We are stepping into our natural roles as conscious creators. As such, why on Earth (or any other planet) would we choose to co-create a world based on anything but pure infinite Divine Love? The line “I don’t care what they say, I won’t stay in a world without love” can be given a more profound application. Many millions of us have lost all interest in remaining in a fear-based world of lack, limitation, struggle, suffering, drama, stupidity, corruption, cruelty, greed, control…well, let’s not belabor the point. We have opted to live in a state of Infinite Love. Period. Everything else can go into the cosmic recycle bin.
The New Earth of our hearts’ dreams? Bring it!
Ye Olde World of our minds’ nightmares? It simply isn’t worth all the effort anymore, or any effort at all.
For What It’s Worth
Part of our balancing act in the midst of the Uranus/Pluto square involves prioritizing. With so much of the old world falling apart and/or falling away, with linear time collapsing around our ears, with one foot in each world – what really matters?
At the fourth exact square on November 1, Uranus in Aries will be getting a boost for its desire to experience genuine freedom. Uranus will be the focal point of a Yod, also known as the Finger of Fate, or the Finger of God. Perhaps in this case, revolutionary Uranus will give the Middle Finger of God to the control mechanisms of the parasitic would-be rulers of the world.
A Yod is created by planets forming a sextile (an angle of 60 degrees) while each of them simultaneously forms a 150 degree angle to a third planet. Mars in Virgo will form a tight sextile with the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Scorpio that day, and Uranus will be the third planet at the focal point of this laser. The Scorpio part of the equation will also be enhanced by the close proximity of Saturn and the Moon’s North Node.
Forgive all the Astrobabble, but Pluto will be receiving support in the form of a sextile from that stellium in Scorpio, as well as a trine from Mars. Allowing an orb of less than 3 degrees, Pluto and Mars will form a Grand Trine with the Moon’s South Node. In other words, there is a lot going on in the chart for Uranus Square Pluto Part Four. We can theorize and analyze (not forgetting that Mercury is retrograde until November 10), but the bottom line states that the world-changing influence of the Uranus/Pluto square is in the process of getting supercharged.
“When the Moon is in the Seventh House…”
BTW – those lyrics make absolutely no Astrological sense, but let’s play with the imagery anyway. After all, the Moon will be in Libra that day, and in the natural wheel of the Zodiac, Libra rules the Seventh House, which involves love and relationships.
Only hours before the Big Square goes exact, the Libra Moon will oppose Uranus, thus forming a brief T-Square of Moon/Uranus/Pluto. This warmup exercise occurs as the Moon prepares for the Solar Eclipse two days later on November 3. This repeats the pattern from Uranus Square Pluto Part Three, which occurred in May of this year. Both exact Uranus/Pluto squares of 2013 are sandwiched between eclipses, further empowering the deep emotional body transformation spontaneously happening.
As we transmute, the very nature of relationship will necessarily transmute as well, which will give new meaning to the Moon transiting the Seventh House.
I Feel Good
It has been a powerful year for our emotional lives. The article in March called “Pisces Gets Loaded” emphasized this phenomenon as we prepared for the Grand Water Trine in July, along with “A Celestial Star of David” or a Grand Sextile. The water sign activity this year has provided impetus for us to allow clearing of old wounds and patterns. During this fourth exact square of Uranus and Pluto, the supporting influence of the North Node, Sun, Mercury and Saturn in the intense depths of Scorpio will bolster us in an opportunity to delve into what used to feel like an endless abyss within us, and to heal profoundly.
However, we may not need to delve or excavate. In fact, we might simply realize that emotional issues of the old “reality” are bubbling up to the surface for graceful clearing. We can become effervescent, as our systems release whatever does not belong in the New Earth; fear, for example.
In each moment we choose between love and fear, and to navigate the waters of our quantum leap in evolution and to enter the New Earth, All You Need Is Love.
