New Moon in Aquarius: January 31-February 1, 2022

My January 2022 Forecast ended with:

January 31 (in some locations) New Moon in Aquarius. If you live in or behind the Central US timezone, January ends with a New Moon. Anywhere on Eastern US time or further ahead will begin February with a New Moon. This event loosely conjuncts Saturn, aka “Father Time,” so involving two dates and two months, beginning and end, feels apt. The New Moon point also closely squares Uranus, so we can expect more insights and aha’s about last year’s energies. Although we’ve entered the new, we still have much to glean from 2021.

… and the February 2022 Forecast shares:

February 1 New Moon in Aquarius, 12:46 a.m. Eastern. The Sun and Moon conjunct Saturn and square Uranus, bringing new insights into energies of the prior year. We can also view this New Moon as “A BAROMETER” of things to come. How do various groups relate to each other and to ongoing questions of personal sovereignty, top down authority, revolution, mob role and potential “tyranny” “for the greater good”? We won’t find definitive answers yet, but we can put a finger to the wind and prepare for future outcomes. This New Moon coincides with the traditional date for Imbolc, which celebrates having made it halfway through Winter, when ewes produce their first milk. A time of sustenance and taking stock.

Dane Rudhyar’s Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is:

PHASE 313 (AQUARIUS 13°): A BAROMETER.

KEYNOTE: The ability to discover basic natural facts that allow us to plan in advance for action.

Here we are no longer dealing with ascent or descent, but with natural laws which involve causal relationships and the passage of one natural condition into another. The barometer registers air pressure, and a change of pressure today gives some indication of what the weather will be tomorrow. In a sense this is the modern scientific equivalent of archaic prognostication through omens. Likewise, animals grow a more or less thick fur in early autumn according to whether the winter will be more or less severe. Planning for the near future is a possibility because the potential (or seed) of the future is already operating at the core of the present.

This third symbol of the sixty-third sequence tells us that it is most important to seek — by whatever means and at whatever level of consciousness — a knowledge of causal progression. In the broadest sense this implies an awareness of cyclic processes, and this includes astrology. The Keyword is ANTICIPATION.

This is a good time period for tarot or oracle card readings, and for paying extra attention to signs and synchronicities.

Even closer than Saturn — Lord of Karma — this New Moon conjuncts asteroid Astraea, the Star Goddess. In some traditions, she is also associated with Lady Justice, and I mentioned her in the write-up for Divine Doorway Number 22: Justice. We might consider this New Moon a barometer of Justice — leaning more towards Divine Justice rather than strictly through the courts.

The New Moon also conjuncts asteroid Diana, who symbolizes freedom and independence. Diana represents the part of us that remains free, no matter what occurs around us. We can always tap into that freedom, but this powerful New Moon in Aquarius — the sign of liberty and authenticity — reminds us to put a finger to wind and move in the direction of our freest, truest Self.

FEBRUARY 2022 FORECAST

February 2022 brings intensely passionate energies. Venus and Mars conjunct each other for over a month, closely from February 7 – March 15. These lovers spend some of this time very close to Pluto in Capricorn. For good or ill, Valentine’s Day 2022 will be one to remember!

On February 20, 2022 we’ll experience the long awaited first exact US Pluto Return when transiting Pluto returns to his exact point at the United States’ birth date on July 4, 1776. We’ve felt the lead up for years, but this first exact hit will reverberate around the world for the next few years. Though tempting to color all of February with these transits, you can find more highlights below:

February 4 Sun conjunct Saturn, and Moon conjunct Neptune. Mercury stations Direct (near Pluto in Capricorn). A big day for emotional clarity with the potential for deep internal knowing and enhanced communication. We can now assess things from a sober, realistic perspective that integrates intuition and inspiration. Commitments arise from a clear understanding of emotional expectations.

February 7 Venus begins to conjunct Mars. Who can tell when these lovebirds very first noticed each other, but Fred and Ginger will be “out together dancing cheek to cheek” for five weeks. They begin in Capricorn and whirl into Aquarius on March 6. The cosmic lovers come together as Mercury conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn and trines the North Node in Taurus. Such alignments favor destiny level talks and realizations about the dance of intimacy. Physical connection may assist the integration process. Chemistry and feelings run high. Beware of jealousy.

February 10-12 Mercury conjunct Pluto. What information came to light in the past month? In which ways has your worldview undergone a death and rebirth? Pay attention to dreams, signs, symbols and synchronicities. Many messages occur on multiple levels. Look at the surface layer, but also probe the depths. A good time for detailed research and getting to the bottom of things.

February 13-22 Jupiter sextile Uranus. This period favors greater understanding of why people value freedom and independence. Innovative, expansive ideas may come onto the scene, offering previously unimaginable solutions. Pay attention to sudden insights and epiphanies, but pace yourself to avoid burn out. When in doubt, practice random acts of kindness.

February 16 Full Moon in Leo, 11:56 a.m. Eastern. This Full Moon in late Leo occurs at the same time Venus exactly conjuncts Mars. The close proximity of these cosmic lovers spans from February 7-March 15, but they consummate today. Uranus passes through 11°11′ today, too, opening a portal of liberation in Earthy Taurus. The energies are expansive enough to overwhelm. If you feel option dilemma, don’t try to decide anything today. Just enjoy the flood of potentials after a long period of immobility.

February 18 Sun enters Pisces. Light shines on the sign of dreams, mysticism, unconditional compassion, and higher love. The Sun joins both rulers — Jupiter and Neptune — in Pisces. Whether we “tilt at windmills” or luxuriate in a bubble bath to Chopin’s Nocturnes, we can more easily believe in a bigger picture and a benevolent, wide sweeping plan. The next month flows with creativity, cleansing (even happy) tears, and a return of faith.

February 20 US exact Pluto Return. Like the New Moon on January 31-February 1, we can view this first exact US Pluto Return as a “barometer” more than a one-time event. As chaotic energies crash and churn, pay special attention to the still, small voice within. What do dreams, signs and symbols imply about the meaning of external events? No matter where you live, the United States exerts a formidable influence across the world. Seismic power shifts have been ongoing for years. This could be “the big one,” but with Pluto ruling the Underworld and deep unconscious realm, we might not notice the change until we feel its aftershocks. Along with the feared death and destruction, Pluto brings renewal and rebirth. As the Hopi say, “This could be a good time.” Watch for unfathomable blessings surfing a tsunami.

February 22-25 Venus and Mars sextile Neptune. An extra dreamy period where higher love and unconditional compassion support personal love and passion. Manifestation may come easier during this time, so feel into your intentions. If they trigger peace and joy, lean into them even more. If not, practice non-attachment: think “if not this, then something better.” You can have it all, but the All is bigger than your ego can possibly imagine. Align your will with the highest expression of beauty and then take action.

How February’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This quarterly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.           – Laura

You can find your North Node sign here which is often different than your Sun sign. (If you’re right on a cusp, consider both options, or book a reading for more clarity.)

FIRST QUARTER 2022 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 could bring inner friction and turmoil with all the squares to your nodal axis from Capricorn. Relationships are especially “up” for reconsideration during these three months. When you muster courage to face your fears, you’ll gain tremendous ground. Respect your inner patriarch — the part of you who governs your reputation, your ability to lead, and makes sure you get paid what you’re worth. If frustration or irritation arises, consider that an invitation to explore uncomfortable territory. Your Libra South Node would rather avoid conflict, even when discord serves you. By Equinox, you’ll know yourself better, and will be able to act from a more grounded sense of authority.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: In First Quarter 2022, Taurus North Node natives will feel a shift — perhaps subtle at first, but it will gain steam over the next 18 months. The world starts conforming more to your highest level of expression. Unexpected, destiny level events lead to liberation. Much of this will occur without you needing to “do” anything. Retreat, meditate, you can even “hunker down” until inspiration strikes. Pay attention to strong nudges to take action, but if no nudges come, allow yourself to stand firm in your current position. Change will happen. Your job is to get quiet enough to notice how life rearranges itself around you. Go with the inevitable flow. Allow yourself to thrive and feel secure even in surrounding chaos. The scary stuff is not for you!

GEMINI NORTH NODE: On January 19th, the Sun enters Aquarius and brings a month of harmonious support for your nodal axis. Think best of the old, re-imagined into the new. Gemini North Node natives need to pay attention to little messages — tiny coincidences that lead you home. Allow your path to meander. You don’t need a straight shot in order to get where you’re going. Make micro-adjustments as needed. In January and February, energies from Capricorn will bring fleeting, yet important insights into relationships and intimacy. When new information comes, it’s OK to tweak your goals and expectations. The closer you get to an intention, the more refined your vision becomes. Love life could heat up in March with supportive trine energy from the Lovers (Mars and Venus) entering fellow Air Sign Aquarius.

CANCER NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 brings both challenging and supportive energies to Cancer North Node Natives. The True North Node’s move into Earthy Taurus offers more compatible energy for your sign than Airy Gemini. Squares from Aries and oppositions from Capricorn urge you to find new balance between form and function. Favor the softer side of life over rigidity. Emotions and relationships matter. A lot! If you’re not happy with your home life, consider upgrades, redecoration or even relocation to a more compatible cocoon. Focus on creating a cozy nest that allows you to rest and let down your guard. Collective energies could get crazy this quarter, especially in February. Not all structures and traditions will remain. Embrace more personal ways of feeling safe and secure.

LEO NORTH NODE: January through March puts strong focus on old patterns and expectations. If something feels like a loss, realize your nodal axis is getting a workout. Anything that falls away will leave you more receptive and better prepared for a brilliant future. You don’t see it yet, but liberation is within your grasp. Pay attention to how much energy or effort situations, tasks and people take. Time flies when your heart sings. Trust your inner enthusiasm and see which things bear fruit. Be honest with yourself: do these fruits taste sweet? If so, go for it. If not, you’ll need to release yourself from the tyranny of others’ expectations. You’re not here to fit in. You’re here to shine. Step into your truth and the right people will find you.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: This is a good quarter to focus on the power of your mind. Physical manifestation follows the formation of intentions, fostered by mental energy. Not everyone benefits from New Year’s Resolutions, but Virgo North Node natives thrive with greater discipline. Instead of daydreaming about a better life, turn those ideas into an official wish list. Healthy routines support you far better than occasional grand gestures. If you don’t have a daily (or at least weekly) to do list, you need one. Tap into that bigger picture Pisces South Node awareness and envision a more positive year. Then, plan for and implement it, bit by bit. If you gained weight in 2021, start 2022 with a cleanse of body and environment. Organizing your inner and external space gives you more confidence, clarity and energy.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 asks you to find a balance between hard work, determination, sacrifice and surrender. Sometimes hard work means slogging through a jungle of should’s, must’s and straight up desire. Because nope, it’s not all about you. Partnership — with humans and unseen helpers — is always “up” for Libra North Node natives. Much more so in January through March. Relationships bring their own rewards. You might need to move more slowly or even shift some of your goals to include the ones you love. You’re not being codependent — you’re learning to cooperate and collaborate. The stakes are different than before. You’ll find safe passage by sharing the burden of those around you. Acknowledge signs of progress, even if situations move slower than you think they should.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: When the transiting North Node moves into your South Node sign, your life path turns 180 from the collective energies. While the collective will face the dark side of Scorpio — your focus turns to its more positive expression: regeneration, rebirth, and renewal. When in doubt, observe things from a spiritual perspective, rather than a more Taurus South Node idea of what’s “real.” Your intuition works well, and you can afford to trust the inner guidance. Don’t let money worries get you down. While the rest of the world might need some lessons in this area, you need to pay attention to the light at the end of the tunnel. If things feels like too much effort, back off a bit. Your blessings will come in unusual ways and from unexpected places. Allow yourself to thrive in any circumstances.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Since May 2020, your life path has felt 180 from those around you as the transiting South Node moved through your North Node sign. When the transiting nodal axis shifts from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio, you get released from the intensity. Take stock of perceived losses. What did they open you to receive? How did living 180 from the mainstream world increase faith in your own intuition and spiritual path? You’ll find it easier to make friends now, and things that burned away will illuminate greater truth and love. Difficulties that seemed fated begin to ease as the Universe turns its magnifying glass on other signs. Commit to bolder strides this quarter, and find a way to travel somewhere without restrictions and without compromising your philosophy or religion. Along with your angels, you will find a way.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 brings rewards for hard work in recent years. This quarter involves a lot of Capricorn energy, continuing and amplifying December’s focus on relationships. Powerful magic, regeneration and spiritual insights vie for your attention. How will you seize the opportunities at hand? You can resolve longstanding confusion and any tendencies toward self-sabotage. Release that Cancer South Node habit of feeling like a victim of circumstances. You are where you are. You can’t control people and events, but you can control your reactions. Changing perspective brings you to a higher level of experience. An initiation process takes as long as it takes, but you’ll return as a different being — empowered by hard-earned and invaluable inner resources.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: Exercise the power of perception, and foster awareness beyond your own immediate experience. This quarter brings humbling insights that free you from ego wars launched by your Leo South Node. Awakening from the nightmare doesn’t feel good at first, but you can use those experiences to catapult you forward. When seeming loss arrives, look to your left or right. Something always replaces that which fell away. Consider the possibility of a universal benediction: everything aligns for the Highest Good of All, including your own highest good. You’re an important part of a cosmic plan. You don’t need to be the star of the show in order to play a key role. If you let go of a perceived need to dictate the “how,” you’ll find that life surprises you in beautiful ways.

PISCES NORTH NODE: Do you ever feel like Fate directs your course? Like some great Wheel of Fortune in the sky spins a Mystery so vast and so harmonious you can almost hear the Cosmos sing? That’s more than a random daydream or fantasy. You tap into a larger source field of Divine Awareness. When the world gets too much for you and worries overwhelm, spend time in nature or tap into your breath. You can unite passion and intention, as long as you align yourself with the spiritual element first. For you, the “real” world flows outward from the inner experience. When you take time to tune in, you regain that time in positive synchronicities, flashing road signs and wind beneath your wings. Instead of needing to figure everything out, you can go with the flow and get wherever you need to go. Indeed, this is your most efficient route.

February 2023 Forecast and First Quarter North Node Horoscopes

FEBRUARY 2023 FORECAST

First Quarter 2023 features many major astro events, but February allows us to catch our breath. On the other hand, with all planets moving direct, we might also find things that began long ago finally move forward. We’ll experience extra dreamy Venus/Neptune energy for Valentine’s Day. If this month feels a little–boring–count your blessings. It’s a great time for creative inspiration with all that Aquarius and Pisces energy. Big pictures, unconditional compassion, Highest Good of All. Use the downtime to prepare for March, which features several heavyweights changing signs. Get your proverbial ducks in a row.

February 4 Venus in Pisces square Mars in Gemini. This transit offers a mixed bag, depending on the quality of your relationships. Sexuality, sensuality, banter and flirtation amplify whatever dynamic already exists–negative or positive. Frustration could peak, or you might feel thrilled by passion and the physical expression of love and desire. If a relationship is already tense, wait a couple days before playing the blame game. Put that energy towards creative projects instead of fights.

February 5 Full Moon in Leo at 1:28 p.m. Eastern. This Full Moon features fewer aspects than recent ones, but it does square Uranus in Taurus. The square puts us to work integrating the urge to shine for ourselves vs. a need for group cooperation. Dane Rudhyar’s Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon point is: (LEO 17°): A VOLUNTEER CHURCH CHOIR SINGING RELIGIOUS HYMNS. KEYNOTE: The feeling of togetherness which unites men and women in their dedication to a collective ideal. The symbol expresses the idealized aspect of TOGETHERNESS. How can you maintain your own integrity within community?

February 10 Mercury conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. Moving Direct again, the Messenger joins the God of the Underworld for some deep informational dives. This is a good day for research, intimate conversations and trying to understand power structures and manipulation. Pay attention to archetypal dreams and characters in waking life. What symbols do you see, and what do they reveal about occult agendas and the power of your subconscious mind? Mercury is also a psychopomp, with free passage to and from the hidden realms. Today’s energy supports soul work and shamanic journeys.

February 11 Mercury enters Aquarius. One day after a tête-à-tête with Pluto, the Messenger moves into zany, innovative and electronic Aquarius. Online activity ramps up, as do calls for brotherly love and group understanding.

February 15 Venus conjunct Neptune in Pisces. This extremely romantic energy will already be felt on Valentine’s Day but goes most exact today. In addition to the highest forms of love, this conjunction favors music, poetry and all creative arts. Allow beauty to wash over and through you. As Bob Marley sang, “One love, one heart, let’s get together and feel all right.”

February 16 Sun conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. Soaring romance of the past few days moves into the spotlight of realism. Saturn gets a bum rap, but he’s also the builder who will move on from Aquarius early next month. Use this day to highlight upgrades that would make life more integrated and efficient. Hard work brings rewards, so put your nose to the grindstone, at least for today. Get out your to do list, and address one task you’ve put off for far too long. Time to take responsibility for who you are and why you came here.

February 18 Sun enters Pisces. We move into the final month of the astrological year, shining a light on all things dreamy, romantic and lovely. Addictive behaviors arise, but so will insights regarding the desire to check out. Everyone needs some downtime and fantasy. Just don’t go overboard. The shadow side of Pisces brings confusion, illusion and delusion, but Pisces also enhances your imagination. The energies support art, fashion, makeovers, spirituality, and cultivating unconditional compassion. This is the perfect month to “act as if.”

February 20 New Moon in Pisces at 2:06 a.m. Eastern. Less than an hour later, Venus enters Aries. The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is (PISCES 2°): A SQUIRREL HIDING FROM HUNTERS.The need for SELF-PROTECTION and caution is ever present. We normally think of Pisces as a sign of blurred boundaries and expansion, but today’s energies focus more on self than others. Venus rules Libra, the opposite of Aries, so even the Love Goddess pulls more into herself than partnering with anyone else. You can think of this New Moon as a form of “Put on your own oxygen mask first.” The negative side of Pisces invokes the martyr archetype, which goes beyond unconditional compassion into the realm of self-destructive sacrifice. In order to support people outside ourselves, we must first manage our own energy and resources.

February 22 Mercury in Aquarius trine Mars in Gemini. The information war heats up, with unusual methods of dissemination. Online messaging and revelations support action, negotiation, and rapid moves that serve the greater good. Tolerance increases and allows for wider understanding and cooperation.

You can find your North Node sign here which is often different than your Sun sign. If you’re right on the cusp, consider both possibilities or book a reading for more clarity.

FIRST QUARTER 2023 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2023 is good to Aries North Node natives! In January both Venus and Mars make supportive sextiles to Aries. Explore your passions and take action, especially from January 12 onward. Expansive, optimistic Jupiter–the Great Benefic–moves through Aries for this entire quarter. In March, Jupiter conjuncts Venus, Chiron and Mercury in Aries, adding blessings in relationships, healing, communication and big picture goals. Some of this quarter involves careful planning for your next twelve-year cycle. Dream big and have courage to make bold moves when opportunities arise. Keep your eyes, mind and heart open for miracles. Forge ahead. This is not an ordinary quarter.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: Continue to focus on liberation, as Uranus and the North Node make their way through Taurus. On March 16, Venus enters her home sign, bringing extra blessings, beauty and self esteem. You’ll experience productive friction from planets squaring your nodal axis from Aquarius. Challenges do not mean you’re off path. They nudge you to course correct in order to experience new levels of abundance and security. Taurus prefers not to change, but your sign continues to receive activations that demand adjustment. PTSD from Scorpio South Node memories could trigger fight or flight. If so, pause. Breathe deeply, step back from the situation and ask, “How am I already on higher ground?” Instead of telling everyone your answers, let these marinate and percolate behind the scenes. Once affirmations become habits, you can safely reveal your shifts even if others disapprove.

GEMINI NORTH NODE: As we move through Aquarius Season, any planet from Aquarius offers a supportive trine to Gemini. Anything from Aries offers a supportive (but more subtle) sextile to Gemini. This means Gemini North Node natives will also benefit from Jupiter moving through Aries until May 17. You’ll receive empowering, expansive energy for relationships, healing, and communication. If you’ve felt stuck, things should shift once Mars stations Direct in Gemini on January 12. From then through March 23, the God of Action and Willpower supercharges your sign. On March 25, Pluto begins to trine Gemini from Aquarius. Open your mind to possibilities of sudden action after a long pause. This quarter has an “awakening from the nightmare” feel to it, as well as rewards for patience and hard work. Saturn’s move into Pisces urges you to find a new spiritual foundation and structure for your life.

CANCER NORTH NODE: The January 6th Full Moon highlights your North Node sign, bringing a powerful reset to 2023. Whether through ritual or a quiet moonlit walk, really use this date to tune into your highest potential. The Moon rules Cancer, and this is one of the most powerful Full Moon’s all year. This quarter brings lovely energy from fellow Water sign Pisces, starting with Venus on January 26. The Sun follows in mid-February, with Mercury and Saturn joining in March. These soft trines to your North Node offer a chance to upgrade relationships, commitments and your all important home base. Mars enters your sign on March 25, activating destiny level change. With the God of Action moving through your sign, you’ll feel more energized and able to utilize emotions as fuel. After the slog of the last few years, First Quarter 2023 offers a chance to ground and revitalize yourself in something new.

LEO NORTH NODE: Aquarius Season urges retrospection and release for Leo North Node natives. Your Aquarius South Node gets a workout, especially in January. If old relationships, patterns or issues arise, recognize these as the completion of a cycle. You’re not backsliding. The Universe just wants to know, “Are you sure you want to leave all this behind?!” If “this” involves codependency, peer pressure and being a wallflower, then your soul says, “Yes! I’m ready to move beyond the old restrictions.” Cosmic Taskmaster Saturn has made his way through Aquarius since December 2020. That changes on March 7 when Saturn enters Pisces. You can sigh with relief having made it through another 28-year long sorting process. When deciding what stays or goes, pay attention to whatever makes your heart sing. Fame and fortune want to find you. The secret is dropping into your heart instead of your head. You matter.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: Pisces Season triggers your South Node, bringing old addictions, illusions and delusions home to roost. You might want to zone out, but discipline will serve you well. The March 7 Full Moon in Virgo offers a chance to get back on track if your New Year’s Resolutions petered out. That same day, Saturn enters your South Node sign. If you haven’t released that which no longer serves, Saturn will make his list, check it ten times and make sure you have a copy. Resisting this process slows your momentum. Embracing the need to create new habits brings balance and meaning to your life. Things that seem far away just need you to show up. Take a single step, and then another. Calendars, lists, and habits take you further than you can imagine. Yes, you’re a powerful daydreamer, but your soul wants you to be here now. Take those visions and give them tangible form. You have so much to offer this world!

LIBRA NORTH NODE: A feeling of destiny pervades this quarter. Anything in Aquarius or Gemini supports your nodal axis–helping you to release old patterns and step into why you came here. When Mars stations Direct in Gemini on January 12 and Pluto enters Aquarius on March 23, fellow Air Sign Libra gets a cosmic “go ahead.” These changing times offer great opportunities, but Libra North Node natives need to consider others, as well as their own needs. Take time to assess situations before charging full speed ahead. Jupiter moves through your South Node sign for this entire quarter. He’s big and bold, but his presence could also attract old things you’re meant to move beyond. If something seems too tempting or too good to be true, ask yourself, “Is this a test?” Pay attention to your first thought, and also discuss options with loved ones before making irrevocable decisions. It’s not all about you!

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: Anything in Aquarius squares/challenges your nodal axis, while anything moving through Pisces offers support. In other words, First Quarter 2023 is a mixed bag for Scorpio North Node natives. Overall, the energy says, “Go with the flow.” Dreams, love, mystical moments and a return to innocence. Your Taurus South Node wants to prepare for all “real world” contingencies, but your true preparedness occurs on the emotional level. Cultivate kindness to yourself, especially when dealing with feelings of shame, vulnerability and inadequacy. You don’t need to hold it all together. Change benefits your sign in major ways. You might go kicking and screaming to that change, but you don’t need to resist. If you wait for it in a calm, loving way, you’re more likely to “pull a phoenix” and rise from your own perceived ashes. Pay attention to your intuition, which guides you well. This could be a good time–as long as you make peace with change.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Mars travels through almost all of Gemini during First Quarter 2023. Your South Node sign gets activated, and this could bring old relationships, opportunities and patterns back into your life. Some of these events could bring blessings, so don’t dismiss them outright. Do tap into your intuition and trust your gut. You have a strong sense of what does and doesn’t work for you. Pay attention and act accordingly. Aquarius Season treats you well with supportive sextiles as the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn move through that sign. You can dramatically improve your relationships during this time. Anything in Pisces squares your nodal axis, so pay attention to friction that arises from late January through Equinox. Challenges and irritation can lead to good things. If you run into closed doors, take a step back and search for other, more appropriate doors. Your Guardian Angels want to assist. “If not this, then something better” is extra true for you this quarter.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: This is an active and surprisingly intense quarter for Capricorn North Node natives. The January 6 Full Moon in Cancer encourages you to take the best of the old and refashion it into something more on path for you. Commit to living your full potential. Mars in Gemini quincunxes Capricorn throughout this quarter, and this aspect brings a nagging, creative, highly charged feeling. The quincunx aspect is fleeting, but if you feel it, pay attention! You’ll find opportunities to renegotiate tricky issues. This redo/review energy gets amplified by Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn until January 18. The Messenger remains in Capricorn until February 11, bringing extra insights about your life path. The big news for you is that on March 23, Pluto leaves your North Node sign for the first time since 2008. Pluto’s a heavyweight, and Cappy’s have felt his death and rebirth energy more than most. He’ll return to Capricorn in June, but this shift in March feels celebratory.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: It’s your quarter! The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn move through Aquarius this quarter, activating your North Node in a variety of ways. Pay attention to events that feel uncanny and orchestrated. They probably are. Destiny level shifts are on offer, and you’d be wise to take them. On March 23, 2023, Pluto enters Aquarius for the first time since 1797. He’ll return to Capricorn in June and won’t re-enter Aquarius until January 2024. Except for retrogrades and previews, Pluto will remain in Aquarius until 2044. This initial breakthrough on March 23 could rock your world. Or not. It depends on the exact degree of your North Node, but the sudden shift of this heavyweight into Aquarius affects your sign more than most. Identify areas of life that feel expansive, liberating and revolutionary, and release whatever stands in the way of that. Pluto promises rebirth and renewal, too. Anything not on path for you goes bye-bye. Let it go. Alchemy awaits.

PISCES NORTH NODE: Hello, Dreamer, it’s your Season! From late January through Equinox, your North Node receives mystical inspiration, creativity and romance. Mars moving through Gemini squares your nodal axis, and this friction can slow things down. Don’t despair, action will happen. Think of two sticks rubbing together to create a fire. It’s slower than a lighter, but, yes, fire appears. Allow yourself to daydream and know that “delay leads to delight.” Practical solutions to problems arrive by dreams, synchronicity, and intuition. These will work better for you than logic. When faced with an either/or decision, go with the pie in the sky. You’ll still need to show up. Sometimes you need to fill out forms, take supplements, exercise and meditate, but do these in service of something larger and more mysterious. The Great Mystery surrounds and moves through you. That will lead you where you need to go. Saturn travels Pisces from March 7, 2023-February 2026. He’ll make sure you do your inner work and commit to growth.

5G EMF Protection

People keep emailing me and asking me in sessions about the 5G rollout and how to protect themselves. I’ve written on EMF’s many times before. This is just a heads up that Aires Tech currently has a 25% discount site wide using the code FEELGREAT. It looks like the sale runs all weekend.

Back in 2018 and then again in 2021, Aires Tech sampled me a variety of products, including the Lifetune Device for laptops and cellphones. I keep the Lifetune Personal with me at my desk, and we use a second one if David needs to keep his cellphone by the bed when he’s on call. I am SUPER sensitive to EMFs, and I definitely notice a big difference with their products. They also have options for animal friends and entire rooms.

Just passing along the sale since so many people keep asking about the 5G rollout. I also have many, many products from Orgonia all around our house and yard. I use these for general EMF protection and to sweeten the energy in and around our home, but Bo also has some products specifically for 5G. Between Orgonia and Aires Tech, I trust you’ll find what works best for your individual situation.

Winter Garden Update

I miss gardening, so I thought I’d give a quick Winter Garden Update. Longer days and lots of worm compost finally triggered the window greens to start growing:

Unfortunately, these self-watering trays seem to breed gnats. We don’t have too many, but it’s a little annoying. Next time we get a day in the upper 20’s, I’ll probably put the trays outside for a few hours to get more light and hopefully discourage the gnats from hanging around in ideal conditions. The greens will handle the cold, but I don’t think the gnats will like it. I haven’t decided if I’ll repeat this experiment next year, or if I’ll do this easy peasy and perhaps more productive setup in the backyard:

Meanwhile, indoor gardening livens up the January house. Our Christmas cactus continues to bloom, and this succulent also offers a yellow blast of cheer:

Crazy Plant Lady loves her blooms! Wishing you some cozy cheer from gray and snowy Kalamazoo.

Full Moon in Cancer and North Node in Taurus ~ January 17-18, 2022

My January 2022 Forecast noted:

January 17 Full Moon in Cancer, opposite Sun conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, 6:48 p.m. Eastern. After years of orchestrated tensions and pitting of one group against another, this Full Moon in late Cancer opens the door to much needed integration. Deep love can move us beyond surface differences. In primal, natural ways, we are more alike than different.

With the Sun conjunct Pluto, light shines in the darkness. We can more easily recognize our own shame, Shadow and the ways in which we hide from intimacy. Consider how these unnatural overlays prevent us from honoring ourselves and others. How does the outside world reflect our deep, unconscious fears and/or desires?

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon point is:

PHASE 118 (CANCER 28°): AN INDIAN GIRL INTRODUCES HER WHITE LOVER TO HER ASSEMBLED TRIBE.

KEYNOTE: Inner rebirth through a total acceptance of the primordial values manifest in the human body and its natural functions.

What is shown here is an emotional and warm commitment to the RETURN TO NATURE which today appeals so strongly to the new generation, but which Jean Jacques Rousseau, many great Romanticists and Gauguin long ago advocated and exemplified.

In a time of divisive vitriol, we can find ourselves and each other by returning to nature. When things seem too big and too challenging for human solutions, nature offers a fresh perspective and a chance to remember our true connection to All That Is.

This theme gains momentum due to the next day’s True North Node shift from Gemini to Taurus. Gemini represents Air, while Taurus brings us down to Earth. In Gemini, we get stuck in our heads; Taurus grounds us into our bodies, reminding us that we, too, are part of the natural world. This is one of the most important transits of the entire year. My January 2022 Forecast noted:

Since May 2020, the True North Node has flitted about in Gemini. With the shift to Taurus, ideas and situations that have existed on the mental plane begin to take physical form.

In the next 18 months, collective destiny moves through a Taurus-Scorpio axis. Humanity will need to face Scorpio South Node’s power struggles, shame, abuse and karmic backlash. We can’t afford to keep crashing and burning. Rather, we’ll make slow, steady progress by taking small, tangible actions. Focus on beauty, true security, good food, and nurturing the body. Patience and persistence win the day.

January 18 True North Node enters Taurus. Newton’s First Law of Motion (also known as the Law of Inertia) explains much about the sign of Taurus: an object at rest will stay at rest, unless acted on by an outside force; an object in motion will stay in motion and on the same trajectory, unless acted on by an outside force. It takes a lot to get Taurus moving, but once in motion, autopilot kicks in. If you don’t like your current trajectory, then use today’s shift as a course correction. Align with your body, your values, and your innate sense of self-esteem. Collective energies trend more solid, tangible, safe and natural. …

We can think of this Full Moon as a 24-hour event, setting our course for the next 18 months. The Full Moon point conjuncts Asteroid Burney, which relates to “a very personal approach and its link at the collective level.” As Within, So Without. As Gandhi said, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Each individual shift blazes a wider trail for the collective. Together, we can do this!

Merging with Nature

These photos have been in my queue to share for awhile, but different posts keep jumping ahead of them. In late December, before larger snows began, David and I walked the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail while he tried out the camera on his new iPhone. I love these artful, moody shots — all courtesy of David:

We had to laugh, because once again, I ended up matching our surroundings. I didn’t plan to do so; it just happened, and this trail looked different than many of the other areas around us.

To me, this speaks of being in tune with Nature and aligning with the energies we love. No matter what the outside world offers, we always maintain a choice of where and how we focus our attention.

In between times bring their own stark and somber beauty.

We walked this trail just a few days past Winter Solstice, before the days grew longer. The Season of Winter is still upon us. This time holds many secrets, and some of them are marvelous to ponder. The Great Mystery meanders to and fro, whether or not we choose to notice.

Inhabiting Aloneness

I love this! John O’Donohue is one of my favorite writers. He died young, but his voice remains. I sense that this process of inhabiting aloneness is one of the key transformations a good portion of humanity has undergone in the past two years.

Luminous Heart Reiki & Massage

My friend emailed me this beautiful excerpt from the book, Eternal Echoes, written by John O’Donohue. It really captures the essence of why I’ve fared so well during these seemingly endless months of involuntary isolation.

“Each one of us is alone in the world. It takes great courage to meet the full force of your aloneness. Most of the activity in society is subconsciously designed to quell the voice crying in the wilderness within you. The mystic Thomas a Kempis said that when you go out into the world, you return having lost some of yourself. Until you learn to inhabit your aloneness, the lonely distraction and noise of society will seduce you into false belonging, with which you will only become empty and weary. When you face your aloneness, something begins to happen. Gradually, the sense of bleakness changes into a…

Schizandra Returns

I did not expect to do this, but this morning’s dream, recent conversations, and months of synchronicities led me to re-release my 2009 novel, Schizandra and the Gates of Mu.

In October 2017, I announced that I felt led to “retire Schizandra.” I originally wrote the book to help people prepare for the energies of 2012, and it began to feel dated as more time passed. A July 2017 reviewer noted this very thing, and I took that as confirmation to take the novel out of print on what would have been the character’s 30th birthday. I figured I might re-release the novel if I ever continued writing the intended series.

I stopped writing fiction in November 2009, because everything I wrote kept coming true. Until I could get a handle on whether or not I was causing conflicts to appear around me, or if my fiction was uncannily precognitive, I felt obligated to stop writing fiction.

I’ve since learned that my fiction is, in fact, uncannily precognitive. Most of the concerns I had about continuing to write Schizandra and the Peruvian Jaguar (Book 2) have already manifested in the world, without my writing them. I’ve also had many more years of proof that my dreams — from which I write fiction and paint portals — often foresee the future by many years, if not decades. This realization frees me to write fiction again, and it also makes me look at my prior fiction in a different way.

In Fall 2021 — two friends who’ve each shared dreams that link into key precognitive dreams of mine — independently requested my last two signed copies of Schizandra and the Gates of Mu. I took that as closure, but both people later reported major synchronicities and dreams related to the novel. As when I first released Schizandra, she seemed to take on a life of her own.

Yesterday, one of those readers asked to discuss my book and its effects on her. She read some passages to me from the end, and I realized, “I need to reread that book, because yes, she’s right, it has MANY clues for right now.”

One thing we discussed was how the Gates of Mu are also hridaya — a Sanskrit word for the spiritual heart, but it also means, “Gateway to the Highest Reality.” I gave her source material for many concepts in my novel — Plato’s Symposium, Plato’s Timaeus, Milton’s Paradise Lost, T.S. Eliot’s The Four Quartets, and I also told her about various Sanskrit chants and concepts I worked into the text.

She asked me to explain what it all meant, and I said, “I don’t know! I mean, I know, intuitively, but the book was mostly channeled. I wrote it. I edited it. The words didn’t just channel through me, but it came to me in dreams, visions, and downloads. I’d awaken in the morning with conversations in my head, and those became much of the dialog. I can tell you what it means on one level, but I’m going to need to reread that book. I suspect 2022 me will have a much better idea what it means than 2009 me.”

She agreed.

As we spoke, I realized a lot of the book explores the transformative power of love — especially when each person’s primary relationship is with the Divine, yet they come together as whole people in love with the Divine. Then they fall in love with each other, and the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.

There is so much occurring now that reflects what people thought would occur in 2012 that Schizandra and the Gates of Mu feels relevant again. When my friend read those parts to me yesterday, I realized, “It’s actually a very good book, very deep, but also well written. It’s not a perfect novel by any stretch of the imagination, but it has value. A lot of my newer clients don’t even know I wrote a novel. I suspect the world is more ready for this book now, having gone through 2020 and 2021.”

Sometimes my nerdy inner English Major comes through. 🙂 Who knows if this means Schizandra and the Peruvian Jaguar will also come through? I sensed the world needed to reach a certain level of awakening before that second book would make sense to more than a handful of people. In the past two years, many millions of people have awakened in the ways that I foresaw back in 2009. I make no predictions on the release of any of my work, but I know things unfold in perfect timing — even if that seems very different than the timing I intended!

In any case, you can find Schizandra and the Gates of Mu in paperback on Amazon. I might also release it on Kindle once I get that formatted.
