Michigan Staycation with Friends

Just wanted to post a little update about the wonderful time we spent with David’s old friends (now mine, too) from Amsterdam. David played driver and tour guide, giving us all a full, yet delightful week, perfectly paced and musically curated. Most people don’t know that David owns thousands of CD’s from around the world, and one of his favorite creative outlets is finding just the right versions of songs in just the right order to set the mood. We have “musical wallpaper” for our home and thousands of songs at his fingertips in the car.

Our visit’s selections ranged from 80’s and 90’s to classical, to obscure 70’s and lots of German and Swedish hits. Seth (pronounced “Set”) works in the music industry, so they’ve shared music over the years. Seth’s actually the person who sent David the song “Haus Am See,” which became the name of the blue house I rented as an office in Goshen. If I had to choose one song to sum up our time together, it would be The Hot Sardines, “Bei Mir Bistu Shoen”:

Dorothea (Dor-o-TAY-uh) is an artist and a psychological therapist, so she and I have lots in common. Somehow, everything worked out with everyone very much enjoying everyone else. David and Seth hadn’t seen each other or even connected at all in the past 6.5 years due to life’s craziness and I had never met Seth or Dorothea. We kind of marveled at how risky them traveling to stay with us for a week was, but from the moment they arrived, everything just clicked. So much laughter, love and fun. Seth’s North Node is right on David’s Sun, so they have one of those fated friendships that endures long times apart and fits even as they change and grow.

This visit’s activities included multiple trips to Lake Michigan — sunset at St. Joe’s while driving home from O’Hare …

September 2019 Specials

Five more days for these. October will feature different specials. ❤

Laura Bruno's Blog

I haven’t forgotten! I’ve been so busy with both work and play that I’m only now getting a chance to post September 2019 Specials. I could have done so on the first but wanted to get Timothy Glenn’s message out there right away.  Based on the number of recent sessions I did for people who would like to continue with extra support while making the recommended changes, I decided to extend August’s Three for Two Special for another month. I’m not sure if I will offer it again in 2019, but I feel led to keep offering it through September 2019.

Many people seem poised to make giant leaps that seem sudden, even though they’ve taken years of preparation. During such times, it helps to have someone hold the energy of the new. I’m happy and honored to do that. Sometimes it takes an objective, non-involved eye to spot glitches…

Ann Kreilkamp ~ Fall Equinox 2019 features strong cardinal T-cross, setting in motion strong initiatives over the next three months

I had to post this piece by Ann Kreilkamp, since it goes so strongly with the NINE dead raccoons I commented about in the intro to my reblog of Tania Marie’s today. Even at five raccoons, I had received the message “end of all masks,” but nine really finalizes that sense. Nine signifies the end of a cycle, and this turn from Summer into the more interior Autumn also ends a cycle, while being part of a larger one. In her article, Ann says, “It may be that the title of Jonathan Franzen’s recent piece, in the New Yorker, is the most meaningful question we can ask.”

What If We Stopped Pretending

This theme keeps repeating itself in myriad ways. In any case, here’s Ann Kreilkamp sharing some insights about the astro-weather and significance of this Autumn Equinox.

Ann Kreilkamp ~ Fall Equinox 2019 features strong cardinal T-cross, setting in motion strong initiatives over the next three months

The Autumn Equinox occurs when the Sun hits 0°00 Libra, signalling that from now on, the nights will begin to grow longer than the days. They’ve been lengthening ever since Summer Solstice, three months ago, but only at Equinox are day and night equal.

Symbolically, we might think of this equinox time as a balancing act, between light and dark — within ourselves, and within our world. How much vile, long-standing corruption will continue to be exposed over these next three months? And yes, it will no doubt grow exponentially, until December 21, when, at the Winter Solstice, the Sun finally appears to stop, turn, and begin to grow longer than the night.

If you think back, on December 21, 2017, President Trump issued the Executive Order Blocking Property of Persons Involving Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption.

What will come to light at this year’s Winter Solstice, two years, and one Mars cycle, later?

The coming darkness is inside us, remember. Whatever we see in the outer world, especially if it “triggers” us into hate or fear, is likely a projection, something within ourselves that we have thrown out into the world, and seek to blame, to judge, to eradicate. Always, when dealing with polarities of any kind, the key is balance, the alchemical integration of opposites within ourselves. In order to do that we must admit all those aspects of ourselves that we don’t like, or that we usually keep hidden, or in denied form. The key is to expand enough so that we may inhabit the space between any two polarities.

The 2019 Fall Equinox sports an unusually strong cardinal T-cross (at least three planets, two of them opposite, and one 90° from both poles): Moon/North Node at 14-15° Cancer opposite Saturn/South Node/Pluto at 13°, 14° and 20° Capricorn, square Mercury at 14° Libra. Plus, in Bloomington, where I live, the Ascendant is at 16° Leo, Jupiter at 17° Sagittarius, and Neptune at 16° Pisces, the three together creating what I call a “triangle of continuous growth,” and also configured with that T-cross. So, all in all, we have Moon/Nodes/Saturn/Pluto/Ascendant/Jupiter/Neptune, all needing to work together, within the 13°-20° degree area of their respective signs.

That the karmic, restructuring, death/rebirth Saturn/Pluto conjunction is involved is significant. And by the way, Greta Thunberg, poster girl of the Climate Strike movement,  time of birth unknown, has her Sun at 12° Capricorn, and Moon somewhere nearby. The Cult of Greta, whether or not she’s being used as a battering ram by forces beyond her understanding or control, may prove to be a phenomenon even bigger than we now realize as we head towards the finale of this every-35-year Saturn/Pluto process, the conjunction of these planets in January 2020.

That the Moon in Cancer, the sign of home and family, including the human family and our Mother Earth, is involved in the T-cross brings the emotions to bear upon the situation. And that Mercury is involved brings feelings to the surface, communicated through words. It may be that the title of Jonathan Franzen’s recent piece, in the New Yorker, is the most meaningful question we can ask.

What If We Stopped Pretending

Once again, during this fraught time of likely many forceful initiations, let me counsel balance: balance within and without. Balance above and below. Balance between thought and action, between dark and light. Between male and female, between me and you.

“The opposite of one great truth is another great truth” — Niels Bohr.

Being Present to Guidance & Support

Happy Equinox! This is a sweet, powerful and timely share from Tania Marie. She and I always tend to parallel, and not surprisingly, I’ve been having enormous levels of synchronicities the past few weeks. During our vacation week with friends, I also saw NINE dead raccoons on the side of the road, which seems significant in both the finality of nine, and the idea of the veils/masks dropping away. Tania shares some good insights about how to stay more present in life. Big hugs and enjoy the shifting energies, wherever and whenever they may lead. ❤️

Tania Marie

I’ve shared a lot about messages, signs, symbolism, prophetic and revealing dreams, and even Earth angels in disguise over the years. The one thing that always stands out in receiving these reflections and guidance, is presence. When we are willing to be more present in our lives, we are more open to seeing, hearing, feeling, and receiving the gifts all around us. We often are being shown answers to questions we’ve asked, are receiving guidance about things we’ve been wondering, or are being gifted little treasures and pearls of wisdom when we think we are all alone and without hope.

I find that more and more people are interested about finding meaning in things they experience in one form or another and I often get a lot of messages asking me my take on things showing up for them.

I’ve been seeing how more and more people are experiencing these…

Fall Colors in Fading Light

David and I have guests arriving from Amsterdam on Monday. Half-Dutch David has known Seth for 33 years, since his two years in Amsterdam after college, and they used to visit each other when David flew regularly to Europe for work. They’ve not seen each other in six plus years since David changed jobs, and I’ve never met Seth or his wife Dorothea. We’re all excited for this synchronously manifested time together.

From Monday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22, we’ll use our house as home base for all sorts of day trip adventures, and they’ll pass through again later the following week. All of which means I will have no session availability and very minimal email time for the next week. I will check emails at least once per day, and people can schedule sessions for later this month and into October. I won’t be blogging unless something really nudges me to do so.

I thought I’d leave everyone with a taste of Autumn beauty before the coming Fall Equinox. I know many clients, friends and myself experienced a bittersweet week — a time of rich growth and harvests, but also recognition that with growth comes change. I spent many sessions comforting sobbing clients during the Pisces Moon. Some felt embarrassed or confused by such powerful emotions, while others know they carry multitudes within them. To me, it all felt perfectly timed with the changing seasons here in the Northern Hemisphere.

“This, too, shall pass” is always true, whether joy or pain, spring blossoms, summer fruit, or fall colors and frostbitten plants. When the land goes to sleep in winter, it regenerates itself for spring. Meanwhile, I invite you to enjoy the moment wherever you are. Here’s how things look and feel this late afternoon at Dra’Faven:

Wishing you all a gorgeous week! Enjoy some of that Aries Moon vigor. That Pisces phase was intense! Much love and catch you on the other side of the Equinox …

Powerful Full Moon in Pisces

The Moon entered Pisces at 5:52 a.m. Eastern US Daylight Savings Time. I hadn’t planned to write about the coming powerful Full Moon in Pisces, but a beautiful dream, client sessions, and so many synchronicities urged me to give everyone a heads up. As the Moon makes its way through this sign of dreams, mysticism and intuition, pay particular attention to dreams (awake, asleep and especially somewhere in between wakefulness and sleep).

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 11, I awoke from the most amazing dream. I wanted to go back to sleep, because I’ve been in a period of high strangeness, little sleep and major insights. I felt well rested and whole when I awoke, but I wanted to roll over, feel into the deliciousness of the dream and go right back to sleep. Instead, I received the persistent message to get up and record the dream in an email to a friend, but to send the email to myself instead of the friend so that I had the timestamp.

Odd instructions, right? And hey, if I’m not even sending the email to the person it’s addressed to, why can’t I just write it when I wake up in the morning. I would NOT forget this dream. It’s one of those dreams that stays with you — that you return to again and again. At least, that’s how it felt to me. I’ve had a few of those in my lifetime, and they continue to inspire a sense of awe and wonder whenever something triggers me to recall them.

I tried to ignore the message to get up, because I really wanted to sleep and just “be” in the dream. I rolled onto my side, but the message came stronger. The image of the dream played over and over in the background like a silent and holy soundtrack. Major synaesthesia (blending of senses — color of sound, vibrational harmony) pervaded my awareness, but that annoying voice overlay wouldn’t let me back into the silence: “Get up now. Record the dream. Email it to yourself.” Over and over like a nagging child pulling at the fringes of my brain. Arggh! Those Dream Guys never quit. Just write the damn thing so you can get some sleep. After five or ten minutes of this annoyance –still overlaid with the beauty and harmony of the dream scene, which kept replaying itself — I went to my office and dutifully sat in the dark, in front of my laptop.

Here’s what I wrote: Continue reading

Thanks to David and “My Dream Guys” for always knowing and providing the soundtrack of my life. 🙂 This one’s too beautiful not to share.

Comment Bump Up from the Mike Clelland interview of Laura Bruno

This is a comment bump up from the post of Mike Clelland’s interview of me on Whitley Strieber’s Unknown Country. (You can read what I had to say about that interview here.)

The comments are all very supportive and excited, until September 7, when reader William C says:

Michael, forgive me, but I cannot believe you take all these New Age practitioners seriously and give them a public forum. Lyme disease is a horrible disease. To equate it to some sort of spiritual awakening is almost obscene. But hey, I was trounced on Whitley’s forum for not being a New Ager, since I guess that is a prerequisite around here. Really sad.

Something led me to pop over to the interview page today, and I happened to see the comment. I felt it important to reply there, and also to share the exchange here, for clarity:

I’m sorry you feel that way, William. I can assure you that I in no way trivialize the horrible experiences of my Lyme clients. I nursed my (then) husband through Chronic Lyme, and I also survived my own infection with Lyme. It IS a brutal, existentially crushing disease, and I do not take that lightly.

The emails I receive from people who’ve read my writings on Lyme disease, as well as comments from clients with advanced, Chronic Lyme, share a sense of relief, a “clicking in,” profound gratitude, and a feeling of finding the blessings and especially the Meaning within the trauma. It’s like Victor Frankl’s ability to survive his concentration camp experience by finding meaning.

Those I know who have completed the “initiation” for lack of a better term, are living deeper, more joyful and meaningful lives than they ever imagined they could prior to Lyme. That in no way invalidates the journey or the scars they acquired along the way, but those soul wounds also triggered much deeper healing and inner peace.

I realize how from a superficial look, other people would consider me a New Ager, but I am actually NOT a proponent of New Age fluffy luv-n-lite. I find it toxic, disabling and disempowering, but I’ve learned not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Some tools and concepts, taken much deeper, can heal in profound and loving ways. “Know thyself” is powerful advice and balm, and sometimes it helps to have someone reflect that self back to you. I consider this sacred work, and I wish you well.

Peace,

Laura

UPDATE 9/9/19 Comment Bump Up from the comments to this post on my blog:

I define “New Age” as diluted and distorted Mystery Teachings that people swallow because of the “truth signature” while not discerning that there may be poison and lies tagging along for the ride. At its worst, luv-n-lite callously victim-shames and/or spiritually bypasses opportunities for real growth. True Love and True Light nurture and heal, whereas New Age platitudes act more like a sugar rush and/or superfoods laced with toxic heavy metals. Not a fan!

Blast from the Past

This 2014 post reminiscing about Tania’s September 2010 visit wants to go up again. Sweet, giggly memories! That time period keeps coming up, as it was very significant in both our lives —and that visit set the stage for massive shifts. I love my magical Faery Twin. A collective toast to adventures and friendship! ❤️

Laura Bruno's Blog

Last night, I texted my sweet, silly, favorite traveling buddy Tania Marie that she would “be happy because I gave myself bangs again.” I knew she’d get a kick out of that simple text, and sure enough, we both took a stroll down memory lane back to when she visited me in Chicago in 2010. For some bizarre reason, the first thing we did together after honoring my favorite tree on the shores of Lake Michigan that I visited every day while living there …

Tania Marie and me with "Tree" in 2010 Tania Marie and me with “Tree” in 2010

… was hack off part of my hair. We then spent the rest of the trip “reclaiming” Rockefeller, Draco, Egyptian and big bankster areas — a whirlwind faery giggle fest through some of the least likely spots you’d expect to find a faery.

The next day, we climbed all 271, windy steps to the top of Rockefeller…

September 2019 Specials

Sometimes it takes an objective, non-involved eye to spot glitches or old patterns sneaking in. Sometimes you just want someone to recognize and validate the soul’s rationale.

“Am I crazy?”

“Am I onto something?”

“It’s still in dream phase, but oh, my goodness, I just got this opportunity.  Am I ready for it?”

I hear all these things and more during sessions. I find more often than not, people have received their own intuitive nudges. They just lacked the confidence, courage or trust to let their soul lead.

For the second special, I feel led to bring back the $44 Tarot Special, since this offers a quick, fun and low cost way to check on your current status and likely trajectory.

Apologies for the delayed posting of these specials. I hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are feeling the changing seasons.
