Who Inspires The Inspirer?~ Star Seeds Now need to Step Up!

My lovely friend Sue’s post is synchronous on several levels. I’ll repeat my comment to her here on the reblog:

Powerful poem, Sue! I love the cleverly embedded links, too — sure to wake up some sleepers. I keep having the most amazing dreams, so I know that all is well on at least one timeline, though challenges still await. For those willing to face and integrate the Shadow, the blessings are incredible.

Much love,
Laura

 Hello my beautiful WordPress Family,

The Poem below I wrote the other night, as I woke up in those twilight hours  when sleep no longer comforts.

During these past weeks, I have written many pages within my journal and like most of you, we all have so much to say, yet somehow when we try to express our thoughts they can sound unreal even to our own ears. I am still in the process of working my way around to you all. But I am taking my return to my blog slowly… An hour here and an hour there..

So I will let my poem speak to you, and within it for those who want to and are brave enough to dive deeper you will find more hidden within the words…    But at the end I want to include another video which…

Joseph Campbell on Following Your Bliss

Joseph Campbell visited me in my dream two nights ago and chatted with me for a long time. I don’t remember what he said, but I suspect it was something along these lines, regarding “Sacrifice and Bliss,” from episode 4 of The Power of Myth:

Such a strong, wise presence he was! I watched The Power of Myth (on videotape!) in the early months after my 1998 TBI. He had a profound impact on me then, and I feel his guidance again since my dream.

I’m copying a YouTube comment by Sitting Owl, as it gets more into the Sanskrit idea of bliss:

Pity you didn’t include the bit where he explains what Bliss is. It can only be found in the video version and helps to clear people’s confusion about bliss; most think it’s desire. The realisation of your BLISS (Your True Being) comes only when you can live any passing moment of your life without being influenced by any FEARS, DESIRES, or SOCIAL DUTIES to live any particular way! As adapted by: Sitting Owl from a quote by: Joseph Campbell

Original Quote: “The realisation of your bliss (your true being) comes when you have put aside the passing moment with its terror, temptations, and its statements of requirements of life that you should live ‘this way’.”

…All of which brings me back to one of my favorite mantras of all time, and the one that happens to be on the back of Doorway #2, The Alchemy Door, which features the Joseph Campbell quote: “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.” This quote got acted out in a different dream a couple weeks ago where a wall and then a magical door appeared out of nowhere. Anyway, here’s the Moola Mantra that begins Om Sat Chit Ananda Parabramha:

Happy New Moon, Happy Earth Day and North Node Horoscopes are Up!

Wishing everyone a Happy New Moon and a Happy Earth Day! For me, every day is Earth Day, but it’s nice to give our Mama some extra love on her Earth Day!

Tonight we have a potent New Moon in Taurus, within three degrees of volatile, liberating Uranus in Taurus. The New Moon exactly conjuncts my own Part of Fortune (happy spot in the chart) and trines my Ascendant, so I’m curious to see what this Uranian Moon activates in my own life.

Meanwhile, new North Node Horoscopes are up. Since I write these for the coming astrological month, we decided to call these “May North Node Horoscopes” even though it’s April. It just seems to make more sense going forward.

I’ll repeat here what I share each month:

If you don’t know your North Node sign, Catherine’s got a table on her site to tell you. Those of you who happen to know both your North Node sign and its house will also find value looking up the corresponding sign for that house:

1st House North Node = Aries North Node similarities

2nd House North Node = Taurus North Node similarities

3rd House North Node = Gemini North Node similarities

4th House North Node = Cancer North Node similarities

5th House North Node = Leo North Node similarities

6th House North Node = Virgo North Node similarities

7th House North Node = Libra North Node similarities

8th House North Node = Scorpio North Node similarities

9th House North Node = Sagittarius North Node similarities

10th House North Node = Capricorn North Node similarities

11th House North Node = Aquarius North Node similarities

12th House North Node = Pisces North Node similarities

For example, if you have a Leo North Node in the 12th house, your primary North Node Horoscope would be Leo, but you’ll also find guidance in the Pisces North Node information. The beauty of North Node horoscopes is that you can usually calculate the sign without an exact birth time, and the sign is always super relevant to your life path. As with anything in astrology, though, the more exact time you have, the more subtle information you can glean. (Just a little tip to pull more from these monthly North Node Horoscopes.)

Warriors of the Shadow

I haven’t had a chance to listen to this yet, but given that I had a dream this morning about women giving birth, only to find an email from a client that her water broke right as I was having the dream … I find this post quite synchronous as Becca describes the topics:

“Together we discussed the archetypal qualities of the Saturn-Pluto, conjunction which reached exact alignment this year, exploring the role of shadow-work, birth pain and the multiple meanings of contraction, and the importance of community while taking on our own small but essential tasks amidst the monumental work ahead.” I’m sharing now because the time seems ripe.

Becca Tarnas

A year ago I was interviewed by Cintia Detre for her project Warriors of the Shadow: A Bold Request for Worldwide Emotional Intimacy. She describes the conception of this project as follows:

The Warriors of the Shadow project was born out of my desire to embody the alchemical procedure of solve et coagula on multiple octaves—separation and conjunction, the blade of Mars and the chalice of Venus, to confront all our fears that stand in the way of love. It touches many orders of relationships, the one with ourselves, with other humans, humanity’s relationship with nature and with the imaginal realms. As such, the project itself took on a peculiar journey, changing our relationship with space and time as we know it.

Listening back to this interview a year later, I find it prescient to hear the themes we were exploring, and how much more concrete they feel…

Garden Tower Project + Face Mask Frames

Our Governor just outlawed buying seeds and garden supplies as non-essential. Those Dream Guys give good tips! I bought everything last weekend. Heads up in case your Governor follows suit. Ours is particularly nutty.

Laura Bruno's Blog

Last night, I asked my future self in my dreams, “What are you grateful I put into play earlier? What do you wish I had done now?”

As a result, Crazy Plant Lady spent this morning figuring out how to set up our Garden Tower 2 in an animal proof way, since all the critters have made for much smaller scale gardening than I did in Goshen with two fully permacultured yards. I also ordered seeds for crop varieties I’d given up growing due to our many groundhog “friends.” We mostly have perennial herbs, rhubarb, alpine strawberries, aronia, elderberry and blueberry bushes, plus some edible ornamentals scattered among the flowers.

The Garden Tower 2 inside a mesh pop up cage, on top of concrete pavers surrounded by wire fencing, in our fenced backyard should allow me to grow carrots, collards and other goodies normally devoured by rabbits, groundhogs and…

“Two Wise Women (Plus One…)” ~ Mia Feroleto hosts Ann Kreilkamp and me on her Podcast, New Observations

Mia Feroleto, Ann Kreilkamp and I had a three-way call in late March, talking about Coronavirus, healing practices, spirituality, uncertain times, and astrology. Our conversation clocked in at 1 hour 11 minutes. You can listen to it here.

Last night, I asked my future self in my dreams, “What are you grateful I put into play earlier? What do you wish I had done now?”

The Garden Tower 2 inside a mesh pop up cage, on top of concrete pavers surrounded by wire fencing, in our fenced backyard should allow me to grow carrots, collards and other goodies normally devoured by rabbits, groundhogs and deer. With some of my crops protected, I can focus attention more on those, and feel relaxed about the other beds planted with more critter resistant varieties.

We have a yard with lots of raised beds, but the Garden Tower 2 allows you to grow 50 plants and compost in a very small space. For those people looking to garden more, here’s a list of my favorite permaculture and edible yard resources.

I also see that The Garden Tower Project is now manufacturing face mask frames for men, women and children. You can add your own filter, bandana, or whatever fabric you have on hand.

I know both Colin Cudmore (inventor of The Garden Tower Project) and his mom, Ann Kreilkamp, but I have no financial connection to these resources. Just sharing here in case anyone else feels led to increase garden yields or make their own face masks. Remember to breathe! As the Hopi say, “This could be a good time.”

April 2020 Specials

As always, I intuit which specials to offer each month. Given the amount of stress I’m hearing from people, I thought it was time to bring back the $77 Reiki Special. Stress suppresses immune function and makes life seem like a long, unmagical slog. Reiki not only eases stress, but it seems to smooth out the rough patches, opening people to living a more magical, synchronous life. Our unusual times offer a huge opportunity to level up. Reiki brings the energetic support to do just that.

I’m offering the $44 Tarot Special again, because it’s my lowest cost offering, yet it still provides profound insights for relationships, decisions, current trajectory, and awareness of archetypes affecting your life.

APRIL 2020 SPECIALS

$77 Reiki Special

Save $8 off the usual rate for an hour of long distance Reiki, an ancient healing method rediscovered in the 19th century by the Japanese monk Dr. Mikao Usui. The “Rei” in Reiki stands for “universal” or” spiritual,” and the “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as “Chi” or “prana” in other Eastern systems of healing and energy work such as feng shui, Tai Chi, Qigong, or yoga.

Thus, Reiki refers to “universal life force energy,” “divinely directed healing energy,” or “life energy of a spiritual nature,” with an emphasis on subtle energy fields rather than the physical body. By working on all the different levels, Reiki helps the body to relax into a state that allows optimal self-healing. Reiki can clear negative energies, as well as empower and support intentions and events.

This session can be scheduled for a specific time delivery while you meditate or relax, or I can set the session for delivery while you’re in deep, receptive sleep. Depending on your needs, the hour can also get delivered during an important meeting, travel or other event.

Please contact me to sign up, and share (briefly) what you’d like to support, empower or heal. If you have specific timing in mind, please share that as well. $77 (instead of the usual $85) if prepaid on or before April 30, 2020. Please contact me to sign up.

$44 Tarot Special

Half-hour tarot reading at 20% off the usual rate. Tarot readings offer an energetic check-in, the chance to ask questions about pending decisions or intentions, and represent a fun, yet powerful way to gain perspective on relationships and challenges. They can also be used to offer a snapshots of themes and trajectories.

Tarot readings are particularly good for people who don’t know what kinds of questions to ask me; they just want some kind of guidance because they feel unsure of what’s coming or what to focus upon. Tarot also seems to benefit those people who have exceptionally good things coming their way, yet wonder if I might be “padding the reading” or “just saying what they want to hear.” The cards don’t lie. (Neither do I – but the cards seem an even more objective medium for delivering good news.)

Please contact me if you’d like to sign up for this special. $44 instead of the usual $55.55. Offer valid if prepaid on or before April 30, 2020.
