September 2021 Forecast and Third Quarter North Node Horoscopes

September 2021 Forecast

September 2021 requires an introspective look with Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all retrograde all month. Mercury stations retrograde in Libra on the 27th. Lawsuits will play a roll this month, whether on personal or collective levels. Things are not as they appear, and this disparity can intensify reactions as we grasp for some sense of control.

Act if and when you feel led, but also take the time you need in order to feel balanced and whole. As Charles Dickens said, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” It’s OK to focus on devotion, harmony and beauty. It’s also OK to demand justice for yourself and others. When in doubt, ask for higher guidance and support. These are available and highly recommended!

Some highlights this month include:

September 2 Mars in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces. It feels tempting to wallow in discouragement, disillusion and feelings of futility, but something beautiful can come of this time. Deceptions become more obvious, along with a desire to fight for truth. Still, “the fog of war” remains in full effect. If you feel weary and confused, honor this as a collective time of things falling apart. When you don’t know what to do, remember your spiritual side. Pray, imagine, send Reiki, create something lovely and harmonious. In a spiritual battle, such actions do far more than you may think.

September 6 New Moon in Virgo at 8:52 p.m. Eastern, trine Uranus. A harmonious trine of Sun/Moon and Uranus within 0°01′ from exact, marks this grounded New Moon with an extra dose of innovation and liberation. Pay special attention to intuition. Uranian insights arrive like a bolt of lightning. Surprising events could shake up the status quo. Recommended mantra: “If not this, then something better.”

September 10 Venus enters Scorpio. Passion intensifies in romantic relationships, and with regard to deeply held values and self esteem. Intimate desires and issues come to the forefront, as do concepts of “tough love” and “revenge.” Beware the Scorpion’s sting. The next month asks us to address shame through the healing power of love. Honor your emotions, and explore the possibility of commitment.

September 15 Mars enters Libra. Between now and October 30, Mars inhabits the sign ruled by Venus. Opposite the Mars ruled sign Aries, Libra focuses on love, beauty, balance, Justice, compromise and partnership. Although Mars doesn’t feel at home here, this transit might dial back some of the warlike posturing in so many areas these days. Staying balanced will require work, so take time each day to breathe, pray, do yoga, walk — whatever you need to feel supported and integrated.

September 17 Sun trine Pluto. Depending on your timezone, the exact trine could occur on the 16th. In any case, this short transit favors deep investigation, passion, and exploring hidden realms. It also sheds light on narcissists, the plutocracy, and issues of “Power To” or “Power Over.” Which actions empower? Which actions abuse power? In the case of a trine, these issues feel intense and volcanic, but the energies support solutions. We might see a rebalance of power between victims and abusers. Sunlight is a disinfectant, and it turns vampires to dust. Turn on the light, and cockroaches scurry away. Find some symbolic (or literal) way to reclaim your own power and dignity.

September 20 Full Moon in Pisces at 7:55 p.m. Eastern. Like August 22, this is another void of course Moon, also known as a Moon wobble. It occurs in almost the final degree of the zodiac, with Mercury opposite Jupiter at the same time. These alignments make this Full Moon better for meditation than intention. Allow yourself to receive information beyond the boundaries of normal life. You can take action once the Moon moves into Aries — later that night or early the next day, depending on your timezone — but take some quiet time first. What have you learned over the past month? How has your worldview shifted over the past year? Ponder these questions before initiating.

September 22 Sun enters Libra. Fall Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. An opportunity to re-balance the scales of Justice. This same day, Mercury squares Pluto, forcing new revelations and understanding of hidden and Shadow topics. Overall, a potent day and possible hinge point to a new reality.

September 26 Grand Trine in Air. This harmonious event features Mars in Libra, Moon in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius. A Grand Trine in Air invites cool headed assessment, deal making, and innovation. The Sun in early Libra and North Node in early Gemini amplify the energies of light and collective recalibration. Air represents the mental realm. In this time of heightened emotions, use this day to step back a bit. Remove yourself from the fray and connect the dots. Which thoughts and actions calm your emotions? What brings you true security? What does “responsible action” involve? A wonderful day to explore the power of positive thinking and the Law of Attraction.

September 27 Mercury stations retrograde. This also occurs with Libra Sun trine Gemini North Node. The signature of this Mercury Rx involves new light and understanding of Justice, cooperation, communication and the collective destiny. Review and reevaluate these themes in your own life. How does your micro intersect with the macro world?

September 29 Sun in Libra trine Saturn in Aquarius. The month ends with a strong call to balance top down authority, targeted rebellion, and cooperation. Explore the bright sides of fatherhood/patriarchy, leadership, tradition, and structure. This exploration is extra important if you normally reject these things. Everything offers positives and negatives. With the Sun shining harmoniously on Saturn, we can open our eyes to new foundations and available support.

How September’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This monthly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.           – Laura

THIRD QUARTER 2021 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 offers a chance for rebirth. With wounded healer Chiron still transiting Aries, Pluto still squaring from Capricorn, Saturn sextiling from Aquarius, and Venus and the Sun in Libra (your South Node), this quarter could feel intense. Add to that the supportive activation from the transiting nodal axis, and Aries North Node natives will feel pressured to release, heal and move forward. “Intense” does not mean “negative.” Your Libra South Node interprets intensity as “bad,” but this is not the case for you. Aries thrives on intensity and challenge. You yearn to find better ways to get ahead — financially, in your health, in relationships, and in any latent goal. Own that ambition! You can transform desire into courage. Allow yourself to want and seek. This will feel unnatural or even “wrong” sometimes, but your soul desires more individuation this lifetime. When you take necessary action, you empower others to live in more authentic ways for them. They may learn to do things themselves, or develop other partnerships that meet their needs. You do you. Co-dependence hobbles you and makes you miserable. Aim for excellence and let the chips fall where they may. Make room for pleasant surprises.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 turns up the heat on Taurus North Node natives. In addition to a seven year stay of revolutionary Uranus in Taurus, squares from Aquarius and Leo add friction to your nodal axis. Questions will arise about where you’re headed and where you’ve been. Expect some changes in the way you think about the world, but these new energies will work to your benefit. We live in unprecedented times. Your North Node sign asks you to ground lightning strikes of inspiration and radical change into solid, grounded, Earth-loving pursuits. When in doubt, always come back to the Earth Element. Your Scorpio South Node PTSD might feel triggered this quarter, but you’re not here to crash and burn. You came here to live well. You already know about loss and recovery. Your soul wants to experience hope and the rewards of slow, steady movement “as if.” It’s OK to plan for your future. Find ways to build a sense of safety and security. Nurture growth. Your sign’s ruler, Venus, will transit Libra — the other sign she rules — from August 16-September 10, 2021. This transit empowers Venus, and her energies will quincunx your North Node. Make the most of this energy by creating or enjoying more beauty around your home and body.

GEMINI NORTH NODE: As the transiting North Node continues to move through Gemini, the stars align to get you back on path. Your experiences link closely to the collective right now. It might help to ponder the phrase, “As Within, So Without.” Do this with curiosity, not judgment. Your Sagittarius South Node can easily slip into the blame game, and that saps your energy. You can bring the best of the past into a new form in the present. This intense North Node Return every 18 years or so works in your favor. Whatever or whoever falls away does so because they’re not on path for you. “If not this, then something better” is not just a catch phrase. It becomes a guiding force when the transiting North Node passes through your sign. July encourages you to get grounded. This will improve your health and confidence. If you feel like taking a time out in August, follow that nudge. The dog days of summer make for good siestas or even a mini road trip. With a Gemini North Node, you don’t need to go far away to “get away.” Little trips shift your perspective and give a quick recharge. You’ll also save money, so small adventures allow more frequent forays. Above all, you need to add some fun into your life. Don’t get hung up on what’s supposed to be fun. Just focus on little moments of delight.

CANCER NORTH NODE: This quarter starts strong for Cancer North Node natives, with the Sun shining light in Cancer until July 23. The New Moon in Cancer on July 9-10 offers a karmic reset to help you plan for your future. Nostalgia may arise. Seek to balance the best of the past while also acknowledging where you’ve outgrown it. Allow yourself to daydream a little, then spin those fantasies into action. Uranus continues to sextile mid-Cancer from Taurus, bringing an urge to purge, in preparation for the softer side of life. Instead of judging yourself, experiment with viewing yourself in a new light: fresh, innocent. What qualities are you midwifing into being? You’ll recognize balance by how contracted or expansive you feel. Sometimes contractions trigger birth, so pay attention to emotional messages behind any apparent restrictions. Look for overall trends rather than freaking out if you feel the need to readjust. Shifting focus or needing support does not denote failure. Cancer North Node natives need to find a balance between loneliness or over-responsibility for others vs. cozy cooperation. If something stretches your comfort zone, lean into vulnerability. Share your limitations and ask for help. That stiff upper lip no longer serves you.

LEO NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 ramps up your positive North Node activations. Think “mastery.” Hone your craft and embrace those talents. July invites you to deepen your sense of purpose. Find a balance between form and function. Something should look and sound good, but it also needs to work! Full commitment will yield more satisfying results. Increased love of self and others pervades August. Your hard work in relationships begins to pay off as you integrate masculine and feminine, active and passive energies within yourself. Follow your heart, Leo. It leads you well. Take pride in your appearance, too. Really, you are worth it. September brings a chance to “level up” in all areas. Accept opportunities to dance in the spotlight — metaphorical or otherwise. Give yourself permission to engage anything that makes your heart smile. Earlier efforts bear fruit, and it tastes sweeter when you love who you are and what you do. Leo North Node natives know how to tap into the Aquarian energies of 2021 while adding just the right pizzazz. Don’t be afraid to stand out. It’s your destiny.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: This quarter reminds Virgo North Node natives to focus your mind on what you do want, then follow through with whatever steps you can take right now. When you mentally link something under your influence to something beyond your control, the tiniest shifts can start a chain reaction. Beware of your tendency to carry everyone else’s burden. Sometimes that weight grows too heavy. Practice discernment about which tasks are really essential, versus ones that only seem to fall to you. Your Pisces South Node surrenders to it all, whether or not you like it, and whether or not that fits who you’re becoming. Virgo sometimes earns a reputation of being too critical, but your life path requires you to decide what you do or do not want to experience. You don’t need to accept it all; in fact, you’re not supposed to. You don’t need to be all things to everyone. Boundaries allow you to frame relationships in ways that benefit all involved, including you. Use September’s New Moon in Virgo to clear the miasma. When in doubt, check in with your body. What does it tell you about this situation or relationship? Follow your body’s lead, then check in with your mind. When in doubt, the physical and mental realms guide you better than emotions or a too passive spiritual approach.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 invites you to “pay it forward.” Think “random acts of kindness” and even “service done in secret.” It’s not about personal accolades or taking credit. You’ll find extra satisfaction when you balance scales without making a big deal of it. As the transiting North Node, Saturn and sometimes Jupiter continue to trine your North Node sign, use this quarter to reassess how you give and receive. Venus, your sign ruler, graces Libra from August 16-September 10, 2021. Allow yourself to revel in beauty, harmony and creativity. You don’t always need to fight your way through. You can use your inner fire as a creative spark that brings into being more of the things you love. If you relax from trying to push so far ahead, you’ll find yourself on higher ground, and in good company. As Buckminster Fuller said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” Supportive energy from Aquarius makes you more innovative than usual. Look for partnerships that bring out the best in each of you. When you focus on grace, ease and love, you elevate life from mere survival to something exquisite.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: Use this quarter to focus on feeling safe, secure and discreet. If the world seems like too much right now, then allow yourself a quiet retreat. Take five minutes — or five days — to focus on the cycle of your breath. In, then out, then in, then out. Ride the wave of the breath, and allow it to carry you to distant shores. If you feel trapped, ask to recognize the root of your illusions, and to see your way forward. You’re in a phase of friction, with intense energies squaring your nodal axis. Squares feel uncomfortable, but they produce results! Work these energies to your own advantage. Intuition serves you well, so pay attention. Whenever you see a “problem,” intend to recognize and receive the solution. Sometimes relief will come through other people, and that’s OK. Sometimes you’ll find relief through a deeper connection with your own unconscious or a mystical encounter with the Divine. Your soul wants you to realize how much support you really have. Much of this support comes from the invisible plane, but it does exist. Get in touch with your passions. Who or what gives you courage? Step into your own power by honoring the depth of your experience. Affirm to yourself, “I am strong.” Because you are.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 urges you to take the best of the past in preparation for a joyful, wise and strong future. As the transiting North Node continues to move through Gemini, you might feel 180 from most people you know. As always — but especially now — your inner guidance will lead you in better directions than mainstream anything. Deepen your connection with kindred spirits, and take time to dance instead of just plodding through life. When the urge for introspection arises, trust that this, too, is necessary and right for you. The transiting South Node, karmic Saturn and wounded healer Chiron bring a “fated” feeling to your encounters. This past year through December 2021 offers subtle (and sometimes dramatic) course corrections. Look back nine and eighteen years ago for insights into potential upgrades from old patterns. Who or what makes you feel strong? In which ways do you inspire and uplift others? Shine light in dark places. Your spirit soars when you find a philosophy of life that calms the chatter. If you feel overwhelmed by “monkey mind,” then mantra meditation can help. Pick a word or phrase in English, Sanskrit or whatever language triggers an expansive heart. Repeat, and ride into the zone.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: By late September, what seems like a loss in July will have revealed itself as a cosmic course correction. 2020’s intense dismantling, troubleshooting and restructuring prepared you to weather whatever storms arise. You can lean into your Cancer South Node intuition, but avoid getting lost in your emotions. Take a practical perspective, assessing what works and what doesn’t. Use the sword of truth to cut through confusion and maintain your integrity. Saturn rules Capricorn, and he’s the cosmic taskmaster. With Lord of the Underworld Pluto still in your North Node sign, Wounded Healer Chiron squaring from Aries, and all the July activity in Cancer, you’re not off the hook yet. Pay attention to anything that feels fated. This quarter might seem intense, but you can work these energies to your advantage. When in doubt, opt for “most efficient and functional.” Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty if you make delicious lemonade out of lemons. If your lemonade stand gains accolades, know that you deserve these. Nourish your skin this quarter, and do something to improve your posture. Practicing victory pose builds confidence and helps you step more into a leadership role.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 brings an unusual two Full Moon’s in Aquarius, adding extra energy to Saturn and Jupiter’s foray there. Your South Node also gets triggered by all the activity in Leo. Pay attention to encounters that seem fated. Some offer opportunities for new connection and collaboration, but just as many could involve release of old energies and karmic ties. Look back to mid-February 2021 to see which energies arose around the time of the New Moon in Aquarius. That was a super Aquarian time, and you’ve had six months to integrate those alignments. Take time to reflect on all the elements coming together. Who are you becoming? With Saturn retrograde in Aquarius until October 10, Third Quarter 2021 might still feel unfinished or restrained. Use this time to innovate and tinker with your “plans.” Whenever the North Node gets frequent or persistent hits, we feel the hand of destiny orchestrating events. Your ego might not like that, but your soul appreciates this course correction. Align your inner compass for the next 18 years.

PISCES NORTH NODE: This quarter begins with both of your North Node sign’s co-rulers in Pisces. Jupiter remains in Pisces until July 28, when he moves into Aquarius and then returns to Pisces on December 28. Neptune’s here for the long haul. Jupiter and Neptune make for extra strong Pisces energy, emphasizing beauty faith, and healing. July offers an introspective preview of 2022, so take notes on what you love and what you’d love to experience in more harmonious ways. When planning for your future, always leave room for the Great Mystery with a capital M. Your Virgo South Node wants to know what’s next — along with all the how’s — but that attitude leads to misery. You’ll feel more inspired, grounded and abundant when you prioritize the spiritual and emotional above the material and mental. August could challenge you with continued squares from the transiting nodal axis, as well as quincunx energy from Leo. Whenever you feel worried or discouraged, start a gratitude list. Your Virgo South Node loves lists! A gratitude list not only gives you something to do, it also reminds you of a much larger story unfolding through your life. Quiet power is still power. Allow the still, small voice to guide and soothe.

Precious

I found this precious little green tree frog while watering my collard “tree” in the front yard garden:

David and I finished watching La Dulce Vita last night, and I thought this morning’s dream stemmed from the overloaded dreamscape imagery of that film. Everything was magically lit and almost obscenely fertile. The dream also shared that despite scary appearances, things were being carefully monitored in order to avoid the worst disasters. This dream continued an ongoing series of dreams that always emphasize Life even if the dream shows death.

Frogs symbolize fertility, so if felt like a good sign to find this little guy so soon after the dream.

According to my favorite Animal Shamanism website,

Frog’s Wisdom Includes:

  • Reminder of common bonds with all life
  • Singer of songs that celebrate the most ancient watery beginnings
  • Transformation
  • Cleansing
  • Understanding emotions
  • Rebirth

Greta Van Fleet ~ Heat from Above

A blog reader emailed me this music video after reading my comments about Tania Marie’s “Reframing Your Well Being.” Last night I learned that the synchronous rainstorm I described appeared to be even more specific than I knew. A local friend stopped by yesterday to pick up some of my extra tomatoes. She asked if we’ve had any rain here for weeks.

I said, “Yes, it rained hard the other night. It started pouring the moment I began reading a New Yorker article on the megadrought out West. As soon as I finished the article, the storm rolled away. Only a gentle rain kept falling.”

“What?! We haven’t had rain for weeks! How did you get rain?”

I shrugged my shoulders and said, “Sometimes I live in a different universe.”

Anyway, back to the song. It arrived as a private reply to my blog post. The band name and lyrics hit me as synchronous whammies related to something else, and it played as the soundtrack behind this morning’s dream. Since it’s still playing in my head, I thought I’d share it here:

Lyrics:

“Heat Above”

by Greta Van Fleet

Sorrows of the earth
May our tears of rain wash down to bathe you
This is what life is worth
When the fires still burn and rage all around

Can you hear that dreadful sound
Fire still burning on the ground

Follow the fearsome sound
As they march to battle, hear the drums pound
We do not fight for war
But to save the lives of those who do so

Can you hear that dreadful sound
Fire still burning on the ground

Can you feel my love
Rising with the heat above
Life’s the story of
Ascending to the stars as one

Marching across the land
Is a peaceful army joining the band
Walking hand in hand
To an anthem loudly sung where they stand

Can you hear that dreadful sound
Fire still burning on the ground

Can you feel my love
Rising with the heat above
Life’s the story of
Ascending to the stars as one

Reframing Your Well Being

Such an important share by sweet Tania Marie! As she says, these are not new messages, but I feel they’re important reminders to share. Any challenge brings new life and opportunities. How we shift our micro experiences and choices also affects what unfolds within and around us.

Last night, I happened to read a New Yorker article about Lake Powell and the megadrought in the West. I’d had this article open in a tab on my laptop for awhile, but the moment I started reading it last night, a huge thunderstorm rolled in. Torrents of rain poured forth like the old waterfalls described in the article. The more I read about the drought, the more the rain poured down, and I imagined this water energy permeating whatever areas most need it. I also expressed inner gratitude for the rain.

Just as I finished reading the article, the storm rolled away, leaving only a gentle rain in its wake. This felt profound and encouraging.

A few weeks ago, I dreamed about fire extinguishers putting the “icing” on three wedding cakes. When I awoke, I saw a client had emailed me right as I was dreaming, telling me of a fire near their home. I shared part of the dream and said I sensed she and her two daughters would be safe. She kept me posted, and indeed, the fire miraculously avoided them and their neighbors. Thoughts, prayers, Reiki and gentleness have profound effects. Sending love to everyone, especially dear Tania and Astrid.

Tania Marie

In the midst of disasters surrounding us, including the highest priority fire in the U.S., I find evidence of hope, new life, abundance, and creative life force energy continuing to emerge – and these are the images I want to share today in effort to evoke hope for whom ever may find this post.

Perhaps I see or find these things because I choose to, but once again it speaks to perspective, which can mitigate or completely shift our experience, AND the power of our focus, thoughts, and feelings. I find this to be essential to my well being, especially in more challenging times, and so I make it a priority to redirect things when I immediately detect something feeling off.

Although our air is hazardous here and the smoke continues to create eerie veils across the landscape before me, my garden tells another story of the circle of life…

Late August Garden

We’ve still got humid temps in the high 80’s, but the garden reflects a subtle shift from Summer towards Autumn. I love this stage of sedum before the buds turn bright pink then burgundy:

Our fall clematis burst forth its white blooms …

… and I need to harvest and freeze the aronia berries:

The Garden Tower 2 continues to produce loads of greens, although we’re out of lettuce season. I planted spinach, purple mustard and more lettuce, so we’ll see how well those take. It’s a little tricky because most of the empty slots are deeply shaded by full grown greens.

The jury’s still out on my carrot experiment. I harvested one, but I don’t think it had matured enough. It didn’t taste as sweet as I would normally expect. I’m letting the others mature a little more before I harvest them. Regardless of the carrot results, I’m impressed by how much produce I’ve harvested from such a small space — for months now. I photographed all four sides of the Garden Tower 2, in order to show what can be done:

Up front, it’s still dinner plate hibiscus time:

We’ve also got zinnias, ripe tomatoes, shiso and more flowers, herbs and greens, but I’ll save those for another time. Wishing you a beautiful start to your week!

Full Moon in Aquarius ~ August 22, 2021

My August 2021 Forecast shared:

August 22 Full Moon in Aquarius at 8:02 a.m. Eastern. This is the second Full Moon in Aquarius this year. The first one occurred in very early Aquarius on July 23 or 24, depending on your timezone. This one occurs in very late Aquarius, just before the Sun moves into Virgo later that day. This is a void of course Full Moon, also known as a “Moon wobble.” Not the best time for big declarations or intentions. It is, however, an excellent time for meditation and connecting with the Cosmos. Allow yourself to participate as “an architect of peace.” The Sun in Virgo can then ground those insights into lasting habits.

This Full Moon occurs in the final degree of Aquarius. According to Dane Rudhyar, The Sabian Symbol for this event is:

PHASE 330 (AQUARIUS 30°): DEEPLY BOOTED IN THE PAST OF A VERY ANCIENT CULTURE, A SPIRITUAL BROTHERHOOD IN WHICH MANY INDIVIDUAL MINDS ARE MERGED INTO THE GLOWING LIGHT OF A UNANIMOUS CONSCIOUSNESS IS REVEALED TO ONE WHO HAS EMERGED SUCCESSFULLY FROM HIS METAMORPHOSIS.

KEYNOTE: The ability for the person with an open mind and a deep feeling for self-transcendence to come in contact with higher forms of existence.

This is the last and culminating symbol of Scene Twenty-two of the cyclic ritual. This is indeed a fitting symbol, as the number 22 symbolizes all forms of mastery. At any level, it is a symbol of spiritual group fulfillment — of CONSCIOUS TOTALITY OF BEING.

(You can read the full write-up here.)

Note the double 22 of “Scene Twenty-Two” occurring on August 22. I view this Full Moon as a call to mastery, partnership, and transcendence — with grave consequences if we don’t shift the energies.

At 28° Aquarius, Asteroid Niobe conjuncts the Full Moon. According to Alex Asteroid Astrology:

Niobe was a descendant of the gods, granddaughter of Zeus, whose husband had founded the city of Thebes; she was inordinately proud of her heritage and her fourteen children. Once during the annual festival honoring Leto and her children by Zeus, Apollo and Artemis, Niobe rebuked her fellow citizens, exclaiming that her own fortunes were better than Leto’s, and her own children more worthy, and greater in number. Why then should the Thebans honor Leto, who was merely Zeus’ paramour?

Leto heard the insult, and urged her children to avenge her by killing Niobe’s offspring, which they did, loosing deadly arrows at them. Niobe’s husband killed himself in grief at the tragedy, and Niobe fled to the wild, where she was transformed into a huge rock that ceaselessly wept tears of remorse.

Astrologically, Niobe represents undue pride in one’s accomplishments, gifts, heritage or fortunes, and the fall from grace which often accompanies this. It can indicate issues with one’s own children, boastfulness, and inordinate self-importance, arrogance or conceit. Often humbling experiences will accrue, granting enhanced perspective or teaching important lessons.

In this increasingly polarized world, it’s easy to lean into separation instead of recognizing opportunities to rise above it. This is a good time to express gratitude for blessings — and to do so from a place of humility. Don’t apologize for your own good fortune, but don’t lord it over anyone else either.

Hera at 28°14′ Leo conjuncts the Sun at 29°37′ Leo. In mythology, Hera was Zeus’s oft betrayed wife. Along with childbirth, she represents jealousy and vindictiveness. I recommend embracing the creative aspects of Hera instead of amplifying her touchy ego in late Leo.

We’re reaching a crossroads in human history. In some ways it matters not which path we choose, because at the current level, they both lead to dead ends. As Einstein said, “No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it.” We can move beyond current limitations and pending disasters — but we must elevate our consciousness in order to do so.

This Aquarius Full Moon, followed by the Sun entering service oriented Virgo urges us to act from a place of devotion. Bring higher level awareness into all we do and are. Become the change we wish to see in the world.

Own It

This theme keeps coming up in sessions and personal conversations. Yes, from outward appearances, the world seems to be going to hell in a hand basket — or at least parts of the simulation do.

If you have worked long and hard to move through Shadow themes and reclaim joy, now’s the time to own it. Allow yourself to thrive. You don’t need to be obnoxious about it, but lowering your vibration to the lowest common denominator of human experience will not uplift the collective.

Yes, challenges arise. We all experience joy and sorrow, disappointments, things we wish would go any other way. We have tremendous influence — more than we realize — but we can’t control everything that occurs outside ourselves.

What we do control is how we choose to deal with what happens to and around us. Claim the blessings. Be and create the beauty. This is what shifts your outer world.

The Future of the Future ~ Jon Rappoport

A brilliant, highly recommended post by Jon Rappoport:

The Future of the Future

by Jon Rappoport

August 10, 2021

“An artist who has no imagination is a mechanic.” (Robert Henri)

“Without the playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of imagination is incalculable.” (Carl Jung)

“What if imagination and art are not frosting at all, but the fountainhead of human experience?” (Rollo May)

“Everything you can imagine is real.” (Pablo Picasso)

“You cannot hear the waterfall if you stand next to it. I paint my jungles in the desert.” (Macedonlo de la Torre)

Face it. For various reasons, the human race is addicted to solving problems, even where problems don’t exist.

But imagination, unchained, would take us into a wholly different arena.

At some point in the future, art will intersect with reality in a way that exceeds any transformation yet seen.

I can’t put a number on the year or the century in which this will occur, but it won’t matter, because when it does happen, something will also happen to time itself…

Judith Kusel: Expect Rapid Changes

This post by Judith Kusel gives so much resonant detail about today’s 8/8 Lion’s Gate. Without going into too many details, I’ll simply say that her post tracks with things I’ve experienced, seen in dreams and waking visions. Here’s the link. Thanks to Ann Kreilkamp for the reference.

Blessings on the journey….
