In keeping with my morning tradition, I pulled a Wisdom of Avalon Oracle card today: The Merlin. This card emphasizes magick and support in forging dreams into reality. On a Blue Moon (the second full moon of the month) approaching the third third of 2012, a little extra magick seems like a wonderful thing, indeed.
But that’s not all. Apparently, the Faery Realm wanted to share some comments, too, in this case via Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth’s The Faeries’ Oracle deck. I’ve learned not to argue with the fay, since they are most persistent creatures! Here’s what they had to say about the August 31st Blue Moon:
“Card 22 ~ The Master Maker
“Skill, Craftsmanship, Magician, Moral strength, Invention
“The Master Maker is the master of the forge, upon which we create our futures and forge our own souls. He sees the world beyond the otherworld, the world of first causes. Through his magic, he brings them into his own world of Faery. From his world, these concepts trickle down into our own, through dreams and visions picked up by artists and craftsmen everywhere. Be he makes the first, the original. He is the great inventor, and the sign above his door reads: Practical Problems Solved Here.
“He sings as he works, and, as in all faery magic, his song does as much to shape objects as do the blows of his hammer … The master of fire, air, earth, and water, he adds the faery element of moonlight to everything he creates. He would be the first to tell you that superb craftsmanship, however magical, is hard work — joyful and energizing hard work, but always challenging. As the Master Maker reminds us, ‘No job is too small to do beautifully.’ …
“Bringing ideas into excellently crafted reality can only be done when we, like the Master Maker, are willing to plan meticulously, begin carefully, and persevere through difficulties, learning still more of our craft as we work. Craftsmanship is also a labor of love. We must be willing to tackle difficult challenges and have a determination to surpass previous achievements. …
“We grow more like the Master Maker each time we do the best we can — and then stretch ourselves to do a little better than that.
“… This card speaks of long-lasting achievement, creative problem solving, and confident action. It may suggest cooperation with others, especially form a position of responsibility, or of teaching one’s craft to others. Success comes from practical application of traditional principles, in life and in work.” ~excerpted from The Faeries’ Oracle, one of my favorite decks of all time 🙂
My take? The elementals continue to offer their partnership with humans willing to support the Earth and heal Nature. (I was at 444 words just as I planned to type how Faeries are Earth angels. According to Doreen Virtue “444 — Thousands of angels surround you at this moment, loving and supporting you. You have a very strong and clear connection with the angelic realm, and are an Earth angel yourself. You have nothing to fear — all is well.” Love the synchronicity, but back to messages from the Faery Realm!) They want to help us heal the Earth, which will have side benefits of healing humans and faeries.
We can return to a world of beauty, organic and wild foods, harmonious living with all creatures and the environment, and a deep connection to the Source of all abundance. Full Moons amplify intentions. On this special Blue Moon, take a few moments to remember who you are — a being intimately connected with everyone and everything in the Universe. Empower the dream of a healed planet and healed lives, and then commit to doing your best to support that manifestation into our realm. We have the support of other realms in our endeavors. We can work and play together for the Highest Good of All. When we do this, by beautifying ourselves and our own environment step by dedicated step, we will see that dreamworld made manifest.
