March 2, 2022 ~ New Moon in Pisces

My March 2022 Forecast shared:

March 2 New Moon in Pisces, 12:34 p.m. Eastern time. This New Moon in the most spiritual sign of the zodiac occurs during the quadruple whammy, destiny level re-alignment involving Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Capricorn and the North Node in Taurus. In addition to those powerful players, the Sun, Moon and Jupiter conjunct in Pisces. Jupiter co-rules Pisces with Neptune, and his regal presence expands, uplifts and inspires. Our capacity for faith soars. This is the final New Moon before we begin a new cycle. Do we have the willpower to change? Will we claim our own personal Excalibur and fight the good fight? This is primarily a spiritual battle: “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Typical of the more negative expression of Pisces, we’re currently in a miasma of illusions, evocative of Arthurian legend. Never mind the Mists of Avalon: whether through magic, media, or misdirection, the fog of this war is thicker than pea soup.

And yet …

… the higher expression of Pisces opens us to mystical experiences, alternate realities, and the power of prayer.

Ask for clarity to slice through swirling lies, illusions and delusions. Like sorcery, so much of what we’re shown is not real. At least — it isn’t real yet. With enough attention and fear energy, a shimmery thought form acquires more matter. This New Moon reminds us to use willpower not to fall victim to the spell.

According to Dane Rudhyar, the Sabian Symbol for this New Moon degree is:

PHASE 343 (PISCES 13°): AN ANCIENT SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS DISPLAYED IN A MUSEUM.

KEYNOTE: Through the effectual use of his will a consecrated man can become a symbol of courage for all those who follow in his footsteps.

Will power is the ultimate spiritual weapon, and its undeviating use is the certification of individual worth. Wherever found, this symbol emphasizes the imperative need to make use of the will in meeting the basic challenges of the inner life as well as outer adversaries.

With this third symbol of the sixty-ninth sequence we see singled out and strongly emphasized the one power in man which is an assurance of victory in the contests generated by social (or occult) processes in which he has become an active part. The individual must use that WILL POWER, yet it is not really his own once he operates at a spiritual level. It is God’s will operating through his mind which focuses its thrusts. It is, occultly speaking, the power of the Brotherhood — the energy of the Whole operating through the one-pointed individual who has made this Whole aware of the need for its use in a particular situation.

I can’t think of a more appropriate symbol for these times. Clear away the cobwebs. Summon your courage and pull that sword out of its rock. Who are you to change the world? Who is any of us?

In terms of Tarot imagery, the collective is moving through the entire Suit of Swords from Ace to Ten. Swords represent the mental realm — both its power and weakness. Briefly:

Ace of Swords: The essence of the mental realm. Pure thought form. A great idea. Success. Focused will. Birth of a great child.

Two of Swords: A difficult choice. Blindfolded and stuck between two evils and a stormy sea. Pay attention to “the still, small voice.” You can succeed even in these difficult circumstances.

Three of Swords: Misery. Break up. End of a relationship — or end of the way we think about a relationship.

Four of Swords: Retreat. A need to rest and recharge. Retire from the world’s distractions so you can refocus on something better.

Five of Swords: Law of Attraction is in effect. If you get your thoughts focused in the right direction for you, outer reality shifts. It looks like you got a lucky break without “doing” anything, but looks deceive. By focusing your mind, you manifested (or can manifest) that “lucky break.”

Six of Swords: Safe passage. An invisible guide steers the raft. The shore is within sight.

Seven of Swords: Lies, deceit, but also discretion, subterfuge for a higher purpose. Keep your plans close to your vest. “To know, to will, to dare, to keep silent.

Eight of Swords: Blindfolded and unable to see your way forward. The mental realm is handicapped, but you can still feel your way forward by paying attention to your feet, to the physical and emotional realms. Comparable to the first trimester in pregnancy. Pay attention to cravings and aversions that protect the unseen, growing baby. When you can’t see your way forward, get back in touch with your instincts.

Nine of Swords: Awakening from the nightmare. Seeing horrors and then realizing these were illusions. You’ve been living through a bad dream. Unplugging from the Matrix.

Ten of Swords: “It’s always darkest before dawn.” “Things are even worse than you thought,” but also, “A new day dawns.” When we reach the Ten, we’ve already moved through the cycle of Swords. Old thoughts, filters, expectations, and attitudes fall away so that we can recognize and receive something fresh and new. Brighter days lie ahead.

Having reached a dead end, it’s time to face the rising Sun and reclaim our Ace of Swords:

Rider-Waite-Smith deck

Happy New Moon in Pisces. Blessed Be and be the blessing …

March 2022 Forecast and First Quarter North Node Horoscopes

March 2022 brings some powerful and yummy transits. Almost half the month (March 1-15) features Venus conjunct Mars. These two lovers in close proximity create a background of love and passion with occasional visits from other planets and transits. After an intense Full Moon, the change of seasons on March 20 gives us a momentary pause of equal light and dark — a welcome chance to re-balance so that we can practice even better discernment. The month ends with fresh energies as Mercury joins the Sun in Aries. Depending on your timezone, a New Moon in Aries also marks the end as a beginning.

March 1-4 triple conjunction of Venus, Mars and Pluto in Capricorn. This conjunction peaks on March 3. It also trines the North Node in Taurus for a quadruple whammy, destiny level re-alignment. Deep issues related to love, power, wealth, sex and intimacy arise in collective daily life. We can now take solid steps towards an improved future. The Power of Love helps humanity move beyond shame and secrecy, upgrading these with clarity, relief, and self-esteem. We have the potential to transmute tragedy into pathos, beauty and determination.

March 4-6 Sun conjunct Jupiter in Pisces. “March forth!” booms louder than usual with the Sun conjunct confident, faith filled Uncle Jupiter. Do you feel lucky? Light shines on foreign matters, religion, and higher learning. This is a good time to reconnect with God, your Spirit Guides and Angels.

March 6 Mars and Venus enter Aquarius. After four months in Capricorn, the Love Goddess changes venue, with her lover in tow. We’ll feel this shift from sober, solid, committed Capricorn into a more experimental Aquarian sensibility. Look for unusual solutions and a drive to implement them. The need for independence rises as Venus picks up speed. Although they’ll remain at the same party all month long, by mid-month, she breaks the engagement and starts to pull away. As Kahlil Gibran said, “Let there be spaces in your togetherness.”

March 9 Mercury enters Pisces. Over the next 18 days, our understanding of the world takes on a more mystical, creative and expansive tone. We might find it easier to communicate through song, poetry and art rather than ordinary prose. Ideas feel nebulous, hard to pin down, and that’s OK. We sense a bigger picture even if we can’t quite articulate the details. Feel your way through the parts you don’t clearly see. This period favors dreams and intuitive nudges over left brain bias.

March 13-14 Sun conjunct Neptune. Amplifying the Mercury in Pisces energy, the Sun conjunct Neptune brings even greater focus on spiritual, emotional and intuitive levels. Collectively, we might gain clarity about a great deception and/or weep in disillusion. Grief brings silver linings as tears wash away that which no longer serves. We gain perspective at the end of a long era fading in the review mirror.

March 18 Full Moon in Virgo, 3:18 a.m. Eastern. This intense Full Moon urges us to choose — and choose well. Wishy-washy won’t do. Beware of accepting whatever comes your way. Pay attention! Humanity’s at an important juncture. This is not a time for laziness, addictions or zoning out. You have a real chance to level up. Practice discipline and discernment, so that you can tell the difference between true guidance and a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

March 20 Sun enters Aries. Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, Autumnal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. The beginning of a new cycle. What drives you forward?

March 21-23 Mars in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. This rebellious transit occurs with Mercury in Pisces conjunct Jupiter (on the 21st) and Neptune (on the 23rd). If solutions seem too good to be true, look deeper. They probably are. Think “evolution” rather than “revolution.” You won’t want to keep circling back to the same chains in different colors. Consider the bigger picture and aim for the highest possible outcome. Real liberation requires perfect timing — don’t let impatience with uncertainty rope you into contracts you’d otherwise rather avoid.

March 27 Mercury enters Aries. Forward thinking, independent understanding, and ego driven narratives will vie for attention. Things move fast for awhile. If you can’t keep up this pace, don’t worry, you’ll have time to process once Mercury moves into Taurus on April 10. For the next two weeks, focus on your own moves. Look for opportunities to set an example, blazing a trail whenever you can.

March 28-29 Venus conjunct Saturn. A chance to review the lessons you learned during Venus’s long stay in Capricorn. Saturn rules Capricorn, but Saturn and Venus meeting in Aquarius loosen up any too-rigid conclusions or expectations you drew about relationships and self-esteem. Think of today as a micro-tweak of a longer trajectory. Commit to whomever and whatever you most value. Energies favor a combination of practical and innovative, so pay attention to insights or inspiration related to co-operative business ventures and other partnerships.

March 31, 11:34 p.m. Pacific time, New Moon in Aries. This is another New Moon that straddles two months, depending on your time zone. Anyone from Pacific U.S. time or further West will experience a New Moon in the last hours of March. Anyone on Mountain time or further East will begin April with a New Moon. Also known as a “Black Moon,” the second New Moon in a month opens a time for extra powerful magic to unfold. They say it takes a New Moon to set things in motion. Again: What drives you forward?

How March’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This quarterly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.

You can find your North Node sign here which is often different than your Sun sign. If you’re right on the cusp, consider both possibilities or book a reading for more clarity.

FIRST QUARTER 2022 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 could bring inner friction and turmoil with all the squares to your nodal axis from Capricorn. Relationships are especially “up” for reconsideration during these three months. When you muster courage to face your fears, you’ll gain tremendous ground. Respect your inner patriarch — the part of you who governs your reputation, your ability to lead, and makes sure you get paid what you’re worth. If frustration or irritation arises, consider that an invitation to explore uncomfortable territory. Your Libra South Node would rather avoid conflict, even when discord serves you. By Equinox, you’ll know yourself better, and will be able to act from a more grounded sense of authority.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: In First Quarter 2022, Taurus North Node natives will feel a shift — perhaps subtle at first, but it will gain steam over the next 18 months. The world starts conforming more to your highest level of expression. Unexpected, destiny level events lead to liberation. Much of this will occur without you needing to “do” anything. Retreat, meditate, you can even “hunker down” until inspiration strikes. Pay attention to strong nudges to take action, but if no nudges come, allow yourself to stand firm in your current position. Change will happen. Your job is to get quiet enough to notice how life rearranges itself around you. Go with the inevitable flow. Allow yourself to thrive and feel secure even in surrounding chaos. The scary stuff is not for you!

GEMINI NORTH NODE: On January 19th, the Sun enters Aquarius and brings a month of harmonious support for your nodal axis. Think best of the old, re-imagined into the new. Gemini North Node natives need to pay attention to little messages — tiny coincidences that lead you home. Allow your path to meander. You don’t need a straight shot in order to get where you’re going. Make micro-adjustments as needed. In January and February, energies from Capricorn will bring fleeting, yet important insights into relationships and intimacy. When new information comes, it’s OK to tweak your goals and expectations. The closer you get to an intention, the more refined your vision becomes. Love life could heat up in March with supportive trine energy from the Lovers (Mars and Venus) entering fellow Air Sign Aquarius.

CANCER NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 brings both challenging and supportive energies to Cancer North Node Natives. The True North Node’s move into Earthy Taurus offers more compatible energy for your sign than Airy Gemini. Squares from Aries and oppositions from Capricorn urge you to find new balance between form and function. Favor the softer side of life over rigidity. Emotions and relationships matter. A lot! If you’re not happy with your home life, consider upgrades, redecoration or even relocation to a more compatible cocoon. Focus on creating a cozy nest that allows you to rest and let down your guard. Collective energies could get crazy this quarter, especially in February. Not all structures and traditions will remain. Embrace more personal ways of feeling safe and secure.

LEO NORTH NODE: January through March puts strong focus on old patterns and expectations. If something feels like a loss, realize your nodal axis is getting a workout. Anything that falls away will leave you more receptive and better prepared for a brilliant future. You don’t see it yet, but liberation is within your grasp. Pay attention to how much energy or effort situations, tasks and people take. Time flies when your heart sings. Trust your inner enthusiasm and see which things bear fruit. Be honest with yourself: do these fruits taste sweet? If so, go for it. If not, you’ll need to release yourself from the tyranny of others’ expectations. You’re not here to fit in. You’re here to shine. Step into your truth and the right people will find you.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: This is a good quarter to focus on the power of your mind. Physical manifestation follows the formation of intentions, fostered by mental energy. Not everyone benefits from New Year’s Resolutions, but Virgo North Node natives thrive with greater discipline. Instead of daydreaming about a better life, turn those ideas into an official wish list. Healthy routines support you far better than occasional grand gestures. If you don’t have a daily (or at least weekly) to do list, you need one. Tap into that bigger picture Pisces South Node awareness and envision a more positive year. Then, plan for and implement it, bit by bit. If you gained weight in 2021, start 2022 with a cleanse of body and environment. Organizing your inner and external space gives you more confidence, clarity and energy.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 asks you to find a balance between hard work, determination, sacrifice and surrender. Sometimes hard work means slogging through a jungle of should’s, must’s and straight up desire. Because nope, it’s not all about you. Partnership — with humans and unseen helpers — is always “up” for Libra North Node natives. Much more so in January through March. Relationships bring their own rewards. You might need to move more slowly or even shift some of your goals to include the ones you love. You’re not being codependent — you’re learning to cooperate and collaborate. The stakes are different than before. You’ll find safe passage by sharing the burden of those around you. Acknowledge signs of progress, even if situations move slower than you think they should.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: When the transiting North Node moves into your South Node sign, your life path turns 180 from the collective energies. While the collective will face the dark side of Scorpio — your focus turns to its more positive expression: regeneration, rebirth, and renewal. When in doubt, observe things from a spiritual perspective, rather than a more Taurus South Node idea of what’s “real.” Your intuition works well, and you can afford to trust the inner guidance. Don’t let money worries get you down. While the rest of the world might need some lessons in this area, you need to pay attention to the light at the end of the tunnel. If things feels like too much effort, back off a bit. Your blessings will come in unusual ways and from unexpected places. Allow yourself to thrive in any circumstances.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Since May 2020, your life path has felt 180 from those around you as the transiting South Node moved through your North Node sign. When the transiting nodal axis shifts from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio, you get released from the intensity. Take stock of perceived losses. What did they open you to receive? How did living 180 from the mainstream world increase faith in your own intuition and spiritual path? You’ll find it easier to make friends now, and things that burned away will illuminate greater truth and love. Difficulties that seemed fated begin to ease as the Universe turns its magnifying glass on other signs. Commit to bolder strides this quarter, and find a way to travel somewhere without restrictions and without compromising your philosophy or religion. Along with your angels, you will find a way.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: First Quarter 2022 brings rewards for hard work in recent years. This quarter involves a lot of Capricorn energy, continuing and amplifying December’s focus on relationships. Powerful magic, regeneration and spiritual insights vie for your attention. How will you seize the opportunities at hand? You can resolve longstanding confusion and any tendencies toward self-sabotage. Release that Cancer South Node habit of feeling like a victim of circumstances. You are where you are. You can’t control people and events, but you can control your reactions. Changing perspective brings you to a higher level of experience. An initiation process takes as long as it takes, but you’ll return as a different being — empowered by hard-earned and invaluable inner resources.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: Exercise the power of perception, and foster awareness beyond your own immediate experience. This quarter brings humbling insights that free you from ego wars launched by your Leo South Node. Awakening from the nightmare doesn’t feel good at first, but you can use those experiences to catapult you forward. When seeming loss arrives, look to your left or right. Something always replaces that which fell away. Consider the possibility of a universal benediction: everything aligns for the Highest Good of All, including your own highest good. You’re an important part of a cosmic plan. You don’t need to be the star of the show in order to play a key role. If you let go of a perceived need to dictate the “how,” you’ll find that life surprises you in beautiful ways.

PISCES NORTH NODE: Do you ever feel like Fate directs your course? Like some great Wheel of Fortune in the sky spins a Mystery so vast and so harmonious you can almost hear the Cosmos sing? That’s more than a random daydream or fantasy. You tap into a larger source field of Divine Awareness. When the world gets too much for you and worries overwhelm, spend time in nature or tap into your breath. You can unite passion and intention, as long as you align yourself with the spiritual element first. For you, the “real” world flows outward from the inner experience. When you take time to tune in, you regain that time in positive synchronicities, flashing road signs and wind beneath your wings. Instead of needing to figure everything out, you can go with the flow and get wherever you need to go. Indeed, this is your most efficient route.

Multiple Timelines

Multiple timelines are in effect. Not everyone is on the same trajectory, so tend to your own reality. Pray for discernment to follow the best path for you. This might look and feel very different than the path of those around you, whether in person or online.

Multiple options exist — some of them full on dystopia, some with moments of sorrow but also new levels of joy and regeneration. Creativity is as — or even more — important than consciousness, at this juncture. What kind of story are you “writing”?

To each their own.

Many will abdicate their creative power and get swept away by someone else’s narrative. This, too, is choice. Do your best to choose wisely — for you. Just know that choices exist.

Love and Blessings ….

US Pluto Return 2022-2024

Many people are reporting the first exact US Pluto Return (to the exact degree and minute of its place on July 4, 1776) occurs tomorrow, 2/22/22. While a potent date with all those two’s, the first exact US Pluto Return actually occurred yesterday afternoon (Eastern US time, 2/20/22). I suspect one person put the date at 2/22/22, and then everyone else went with those magical numbers without checking the true degree and minutes. [Update: apparently, there’s a one minute discrepancy in some ephemera.] No matter — we’ve felt the lead up to this for at least six years, and exact conjunctions occur and reoccur throughout 2022 and 2024.

I only mention that we already hit the first exact US Pluto Return yesterday, so that anyone dreading that date knows it already occurred. We survived!

I explained to a friend yesterday:

What’s really weird is that the US Pluto Return appears to be happening in Canada — right now. It’s not making much mainstream news, but the protests have remained peaceful, and the “police,” who many suspect are not actually Canadian police, are beating protesters, trampling them with horses, assaulting non-mainstream media reporters, etc. If this were happening in the US, a lot of people would just say, “Oh, that’s the US Pluto Return,” but it’s very odd to see it happening in Canada.

There are a number of potentially system crashing things occurring in Canada right now — bank runs due to Trudeau and Ottawa police saying they will freeze people’s bank accounts and consider anyone who contributed to the trucker convoy to be terrorists, using Emergency War Powers to try to shut down a peaceful protest, and full on tyrannical measures … it’s very curious to see this happening in Canada. They have SOME interesting transits right now, but nothing as dramatic as the US Pluto Return. It almost feels like the US dodged some of its Pluto Return and it got sidelined to Canada.

Time will tell. In November 2020, I also had a dream that involved a large semi-truck changing drivers at a T-square intersection, and the masses not accepting this change.

I don’t pretend to know all the details of any of this. I know what over a decade of dreams have told me about these times. I’ve also spent the past many years sending Reiki to various hot spots around the world, as I feel led. I strongly sense that despite outward appearances, most of humanity is on the best possible timeline with the minimal amount of pain and suffering needed to trigger a mass awakening. (Pain and suffering do the job when subtler nudges don’t.) My February 2022 Forecast notes:

February 20 US exact Pluto Return. Like the New Moon on January 31-February 1, we can view this first exact US Pluto Return as a “barometer” more than a one-time event. As chaotic energies crash and churn, pay special attention to the still, small voice within. What do dreams, signs and symbols imply about the meaning of external events? No matter where you live, the United States exerts a formidable influence across the world. Seismic power shifts have been ongoing for years. This could be “the big one,” but with Pluto ruling the Underworld and deep unconscious realm, we might not notice the change until we feel its aftershocks. Along with the feared death and destruction, Pluto brings renewal and rebirth. As the Hopi say, “This could be a good time.” Watch for unfathomable blessings surfing a tsunami.

In personal Pluto transits, I notice that the lead up to the first exact aspect brings intense pressure, because we tend to resist change. Of all the planets, Pluto represents the most primordial, sometimes brutal change. But Pluto also brings the most radical regeneration. Clinging to anything artificial won’t work. Pluto rips that stuff away. While resistance is futile, leaning into the change brings superpowers. Looking for — and cultivating — signs of the new offers an easier way to deal with Plutonian energies.

It’s painful, yes, but in time, people recognize that Pluto brings new levels of strength, power and self-acceptance. Without the old shame as a point of control and manipulation, we learn to stand on our own two feet — natural and free. Think “Power To” rather than “Power Over.” In my view, this Chumbawamba song summarizes humanity right now:

Indoor Garden Update and Insights

I promised to give an update about some of my indoor gardening experiments, like growing lettuce by the window and cultivating pink oyster mushrooms in the kitchen. I deemed both projects a partial success, but ultimately decided not to continue with either.

The mushrooms grew like magic. I think this would be really fun to do with kids, because you could see the growth, hour by hour. The only trouble was they made me sneeze! The morning after the initial setup I felt like I had pepper inside my nose. I must have sneezed thirty times in three minutes. I suspected the mushroom substrate, but I didn’t sneeze again during the rest of the growth process.

We finally harvested beautiful pink mushrooms and made an Asian dish of onions, cabbage and mushrooms sauteed together and added to butter lettuce wraps. It tasted good, but after a few bites, I lost my appetite. I took a break, then tried again. My appetite evaporated the moment I picked up the lettuce wrap. This is a dish we’ve made many times with shiitake mushrooms, and I never had that experience. We took it as a sign that I had some kind of allergy or sensitivity to pink oyster mushrooms, and I composted the rest. Oh, well! They did grow. They looked great. They just didn’t agree with me.

The lettuce grew and turned out DELICIOUS! I love fresh lettuce in the middle of winter, and intend to try a different method next year. Unfortunately, the self watering window containers created sand gnat love caves, and I got tired of trying to monitor the birth rate. Those little guys are super annoying. They loved to dive bomb my head while I sat at the computer, or fly behind my glasses and tickle my eyelashes. Trying to bat them away meant cleaning my smudged glasses all day long. Putting the containers outside during temperatures above twenty degrees but below freezing slowed things down, but not by much. At some point, I realized this tasty lettuce required most of my time and attention. It just didn’t seem worth the effort.

What’s a Crazy Plant Lady to do?! David suggested we remove the former desk I had repurposed to grow lettuce by the front window. I gasped! “No, no, I LOVE the table! I love having more plants in that room. The solution is more plants.” He humored me, and now our living room feels very much alive:

I realize there are all manner of dystopian scenarios unfolding in the world right now, but it also feels right and important to focus on signs of life. We cultivate and nurture “reality” into being. Creating moments of peace, growth and light within ourselves and within our own sphere of influence helps us to show up in bigger and more positive ways “out there.”

Not every experiment works. Sometimes good results require too much effort to justify them. Other times, we throw ourselves into the process because it feels right, with no guarantee of the outcome. What matters — and creates matter — is the process of choosing, engaging, nurturing, cutting our losses, creating and engaging once again. Moment by conscious moment, we build our world.

And, no, I’m not just talking about gardening here. 🙂

Full Moon in Leo ~ February 16, 2022

This posted itself eight days ago, even though I intended to post it much closer to the 16th. Many people have told me they appreciated the extra long heads up. Given all the intensity in the macro sphere, it seems a good time to post a reminder of the current and coming energies.

Laura Bruno's Blog

[Oops! I didn’t mean for this to go live so soon. I had it scheduled for the 11th, but somehow it jumped out in front. This seems symbolic of the energies, so I’ll leave it up.]

My February 2022 Forecast notes:

February 16 Full Moon in Leo, 11:56 a.m. Eastern. This Full Moon in late Leo occurs at the same time Venus exactly conjuncts Mars. The close proximity of these cosmic lovers spans from February 7-March 15, but they consummate today. Uranus passes through 11°11′ today, too, opening a portal of liberation in Earthy Taurus. The energies are expansive enough to overwhelm. If you feel option dilemma, don’t try to decide anything today. Just enjoy the flood of potentials after a long period of immobility.

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon degree is:

Door Number 25 ~ Queen of Wands Imbolc Portal

Queen of Wands portal by Laura Bruno

Today’s post marks the end of Phase 1 of a VERY long portal process. In January 2021, I “downloaded” an idea for what I thought would be my next portal — another version of the Star card. I procured the various things I needed to create a mini door — or rather a Star “Gate” — but then someone contacted me to commission a version of the Strength card. That process went through several iterations before beginning to paint, and just when I thought I would bump the Strength portal ahead of my Star, the patron for the portal of today’s post began emailing me detailed dream and synchronicity downloads for another portal.

I told her to keep making notes, but that I had two portals ahead of hers. She agreed, and her synchronicities and downloads amped up even more. I finally got the message that her portal would leapfrog over the other two. Then I realized the perfect balance of this arrangement. When this woman commissioned the Two of Cups portal, the reverse occurred. Her portal got bumped back by a Magician portal for me and a Justice portal commissioned by the same person who had me paint Peace of the Blue Irises. Having her next portal jump ahead of one of my portals and a commissioned one exactly complemented the earlier process.

Once I realized this, her portal stalled out, as did the other two. I got a firm “no go” for painting any of them. At some point last fall, I primed all three and added a single appropriate Rune to each one, then did a Reiki Healing Attunement on each. Then … nothing. No go for any of them. During this time, the concepts for both of the commissioned portals underwent major shifts, as did the people commissioning them. “My” portal concept remains the same, but I need to finish the other two before I can paint anymore of it. I would periodically let each person know the continued paused state.

On December 4, all blocks lifted for painting the background of the Queen of Wands:

I thought we were finally on our way, but nope … another pause. I heavily coded the back in Runes spelling out quotes, song lyrics, and even a Bible verse connected to empowering her and reconnecting her with both inner passion and inner child. On December 8, I sent this Leo woman the following email:

Wow, who knew?! I took a little nap on the couch this morning, and as I awoke downloaded that I’m supposed to make the Queen’s wand from a sprig of rosemary. This came very insistently and I also had a confirming synchronicity right afterwards.

I looked up “rosemary magical properties” and it’s very connected with Leo and the Sun — cleansing, healing and clarity: https://www.groveandgrotto.com/blogs/articles/magickal-properties-of-rosemary

also: healing, memory, love, loyalty, purification and protection: https://wiccanow.com/learn-about-the-magical-properties-of-rosemary/

I had thought I’d have a citrine top to the wand but it’s going to be amethyst to match her cloak. The combination of rosemary and amethyst seems like an anchor to “remember the spiritual,” “remember your magic.” Having an actual wand also links this to my Magician portal, since I gave him a wand from our cherry tree, so there’s your Magician, secretly embedded into the portal. I’m making the four leaf clover out of four tiny prehnite crystals. This will tie into the Two of Cups portal’s leaves on the tree.

It’s coming along. She IS continuing on her path, but in a confident, excited, directed and joyful way. The wand almost touches the outer frame, and I’m going to make it so that she’s walking right towards the word “flows.” Hopefully that will work, cuz those are Dream Guy instructions!

Hugs,
Laura

Unbeknownst to me, she was writing an email at the same time I wrote this. We hit send at the same time, and she replied to my email:

That’s all wonderful and obviously perfectly timed!  I hit send on the plea for some words of hope, and this instantly appeared in my inbox.  😊

I love it – it feels very soothing.  I love the smell and purity of rosemary essential oil, and I love that I get to have a purple cloak. One of my favorite colors!  And that makes it feel cool and comforting like the garden versus all the hot and dry of the desert. Over the weekend, I had a similar kind of insight and thought about a flower vine winding up the wand, but this is even better.

She researched rosemary essential oil, and it blew our minds how perfectly rosemary addresses the various emotional challenges on her plate. A little later, she replied again:

You know, when I first saw this, my head was so full of the underlying sync, that I thought  your “wow, who knew” comment applied to what was in my mind because it was so LOUD.  When I read it again, I realized you might have forgotten something very key:  Do you remember that “Love grows where my Destiny flows” is actually my adaption of the song “Love grows where my Rosemary goes?”  The song popped into my head immediately when I read your subject line, and I didn’t realize you weren’t referring to it.

I went and read the lyrics and busted out laughing.  And it’s very interesting how some of the lines are in bold.

I had NO idea of that connection! After listening to the song, I told her:

Also, I felt led while painting to make it say, “Love grows where destiny flows,” instead of “Love grows where my destiny flows.” This seemed like it would allow you to lean into the portal’s message and intention as Cosmic TRUTH, even in moments when you are not personally feeling it. Less resistance = stronger, more aligned flow.

Oh, yeah, I had also already given her a vine and flower crown instead of a metal crown, so there’s your vine.

Over the next six weeks, the portal commissioner underwent many internal shifts and aha moments regarding her desire for and resistance to the archetypes and intentions embedded into her portal. She clarified more about the Queen having crossed a footbridge, making this a double portal: the 9″x12″ oval with its border forms another “porthole” like the Two of Cups, and the bridge adds another sense of breaking through to the other side.

I received a “go time” message when the North Node shifted from Gemini to Taurus. I could now begin working on the rest of the portal — the lush garden and a magical woman embodying her inner child on the other side of the bridge. This felt like anchoring the ideas (Gemini) into the real, tangible world (Taurus.)

A variety of intended animals shifted to a bee for feminine wisdom (and a nod to her new dog, Beatrice), as well as a rabbit for gentleness and magic. As I painted, the general flowers turned specific. I included these from Soulflower, The Plant Oracle Deck:

She asked:

Can you do some little thing in the portal to anchor this for me?  A hidden symbol or some kind of one-way flow across that bridge, so I can’t go back to my old ways of being.

I replied:

I just realized that having the HAGAL Rune on the old side of the quote, which lines up to somewhere on the road just before the bridge — does the equivalent of what you’re asking here. I added a LAF Rune on the other side, right after flows. LAF is the Rune of flow, so you get a double-whammy of flow. Then the rosemary helps you to remember to align with your higher self (amethyst), which points to your way.

On January 24, I sent a quick note:

Just letting you know I started working again on the portal. Today I touched up some shading, added a crescent moon belt to the little witch — so there’s your Sun/Moon in a subtle way — and added coding in the frame that says, “Happiness finds me and I receive.” I also think the crystal on the end of the rosemary wand may spill over onto the frame. I’m playing with placement, but I like the idea of the magic wand breaking out of the frame. She has just crossed a bridge, and the amethyst reaches out into the “real” world.

On January 30th, I said:

I’ve finished everything except the final touches on the little witch’s face and hands. I need to glue the wand and crystals (tip of wand, four leaf clover), and I’m going to code in “A Higher Power” somewhere on the back if I can find room. That song has played throughout this creation process — not on the radio or CDs, but various times in my dreams, including this morning when I realized what else to do on the portal.

I will finish it up on Imbolc Eve, January 31st, which means I can ship it to you on February 1 — Brigid’s Day! I totally did not plan that, but it seems perfect for you of all people to have your portal fly off to you on Brigid’s day. The little witch has red hair and a purple cloak, but that also ties in with Brigid and her magical green cloak.

This has really come together!

Without going into confidential detail, this Irish woman has a very special relationship with the Goddess Brigid/St. Bridget. Her career, her hair, her big heart, and a boatload of synchronicities all confirm this special connection. Her Two of Cups portal finished on Fall Equinox 2020, and the Queen of Wands finished on Imbolc Eve, shipped off on Brigid’s day.

As if we needed further confirmation, the payment for her portal came through at 11:12:34 a.m.

Another wink from the Universe since an overwhelming volume of dreams and shared dream correspondence on my intended date of February 9 delayed posting the portal write-up until today, February 11, 2022. Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Jupiter-Venus conjunction at 12°34′ Aquarius. I posted about that yummy transit here, noting the positive impact on self-esteem. In addition to conjuncting my natal Jupiter and exactly trining my natal Venus, this 12°34′ Aquarius point happens to trine the Queen of Wands portal commissioner’s Gemini North Node. To the astrologer in me, this speaks to a destiny level confirmation going backwards and forwards through time.

After writing that last line, I went back and embedded Coldplay’s “Higher Power” into the post, and it just happened to be 11:11 a.m. Listening to the song after reading through an even more extensive portal correspondence than I’ve included here, I broke into grateful sobs at the beautiful unfolding of this entire portal process. It involved faithful patience, moments of doubt, followed by little and big signs of Divine intervention, followed by more delays and then even bigger confirmation and healing.

The process took so long that I had forgotten many over the top synchronicities and tender messages from the Divine. I feel completely humbled and awed to have participated in this process. One of the most important Runic codings says, “From now on, I get out of my own way.” She’s already noticed the effects of this simple affirmation on the other side of the bridge. I know this three phase portal creation also parallels an ongoing collective awakening and healing process.

I included so many of the extra details that I forgot to include the most obvious symbolism — the Queen of Wands. I love how Avia at Tarot Teachings describes this figure:

Queen of Wands Personality traits:

  • Kind
  • Poised
  • Patient
  • Faithful
  • Intuitive
  • Truthful
  • Generous
  • Nurturing
  • Balancing
  • Well-liked
  • Comforting
  • Humanitarian

It has taken time to cultivate these aspects of myself. I have learned the ways of connection, balance, and spiritual prudence through age and maturity.

Thank you to the real life Queen of Wands for generously allowing me to share so much of the behind the scenes creation process. She also sent a photo of the activated portal in her home. I love this!

Queen of Wands in her new home

I just realized the double whammy synchro-weirdness that triggered posting this write-up today instead of my intended February 9. Not only did I get deluged the morning of February 9 with dreams that linked to a friend’s dreams going back years for both of us … but on February 7, I had written and carefully scheduled my Full Moon write-up to post on February 11. I completed the draft, got everything set for the 11th, and then poof! It posted itself, nine days before the February 16 Full Moon. This WordPress “glitch” cleared the way for today’s Queen of Wands post linking back to that 12°34′ Aquarius point which happens to trine the Queen of Wands portal commissioner’s Gemini North Node.

Indeed, to the astrologer in me, this speaks to a destiny level confirmation going backwards and forwards through time. Thank you, thank you for all the love and such powerful signs and syncs! As Coldplay sings:

You’ve got, oh, you’ve got a higher
My hands up shaking just to let you know now

You’ve got a higher power
You’ve got me singing every second, dancing any hour

When for so long I’d been down on my knees
Then your love song saved me over and over
For so long I’d been down on my knees
Till your love song floats me on, ee-on, oh oh

When I finished the written part of this post, I emailed the real life Queen of Wands and said: OMG, I’ve been bawling as I type up your portal post. Happy, awed tears. Wow, this has been QUITE the journey. 🙂

She replied: Oh gosh, Laura. That’s quite a compliment. I can’t wait to read it and be reminded … all of this lovely stuff coinciding with Valentine’s Day.  ❤

Well, here you have it for posterity. Many blessings and so much love! I’m honored to have crossed this bridge with you.

Full Moon in Leo ~ February 16, 2022

PHASE 148 (LEO 28°): MANY LITTLE BIRDS ON A LIMB OF A BIG TREE.

KEYNOTE: A wide, and perhaps confusing, openness to a multiplicity of inspiring potentialities.

You can read the full description here, and it ends with another warning not to get OVERWHELMED WITH POTENTIALITIES. These could show up in areas of romance, revolution, many individuals standing up to a group of zealots, and/or sudden “out of this world” solutions that appear in the tangible, physical realm. Leo encourages us to follow our heart. Individuals can feel more courageous as they find themselves “out on a limb” with other bold souls facing fear and moving beyond it.

Pluto in Capricorn and the transiting North Node in Taurus remain in a close trine, with Pluto also quincunxing the Full Moon in Leo and the cubewano (outer system asteroid) Chaos in Gemini. According to Mark Andrew Holmes:

Astrologically, Chaos signifies chaos: anarchy, disorder, tumult, uproar, disarray, senselessness, which is sort of reinforced by the fact that its asteroid number adds up to 9, number of endings, selflessness and release. Chaos has to do not only with primordial confusion, but the confusion that is entropy and its final product; things fall apart, or are broken, so that new things may come into being. Accordingly, it seems to have something to do with activism as well.

In other words, we’ve got a YOD, aka “Finger of God,” pointing from the Full Moon and Chaos to Pluto, god of death, destruction and transformation. Add this to rebel Uranus hitting 11°11′ Taurus today, and we’ve got a chaotic portal of activism ripe for lightning bolts of inspiration. These alignments all deepen and intensify the energies, urging new leadership to arise as if answering destiny’s call. The dark underbelly of power, corruption and shadow government may lose its cover today. Some of the information revealed will feel like too much, too soon, and yet the nodal axis presses on. Karmic debts demand payment, while the collective stands its ground until it can find real steps forward.

With the nodal axis squaring the Sun-Moon axis in Fixed Signs, we can expect heightened emotions, resistance, and enough friction to force action. A Grand Cross of feuding energies. As the saying goes, “Keep your head on a swivel.” Use situational awareness, and trust your intuition if it tells you to lay low. Sometimes the wisest action involves pausing to assess the next move, rather than getting carried away by ego, revenge, or the crowd. All Full Moons heighten emotions, but this one invokes a LOT of volatile energies.

Asteroid Atropos conjuncts the South Node in Scorpio and sextiles Pluto. One of the three Fate Sisters, Atropos marks death, endings and transformation. The South Node (past) in Scorpio — and the sextile with Scorpio’s ruler Pluto — amplifies these themes. Whether we recognize it on February 16 or only in hindsight, this Full Moon signals the end of an era. Something major is going down. Time will tell what kind of regeneration follows.

Portals, Numbers and Falling Doors

This post wants to go up again. It’s a long, winding post that has continued to unfold over five years later, including with a mysterious number of 222 synchronicities and an identical bruise on the exact same spot of my arm this past summer. I feel VERY well taken care of, and the precognition and reweaving of these portal doors continue to blow my mind. They also interlink with earlier doors in bizarre yet undeniable ways. Most arrive through dreams, so I guess that shouldn’t surprise me — but it still does!

I finished painting a commissioned portal this past week, and it’s on the way with a weather delay to the woman who also commissioned the Two of Cups portal. I completed it on the New Moon in Aquarius and mailed it on Imbolc. We’re both curious when it will arrive. Once it does, I’ll post photos and the usual write-up. Meanwhile, this post says hello from August 2016.

Laura Bruno's Blog

I’m not entirely sure what to make of today’s post, but third time’s the charm, so I decided to share some of the strange goings on with portals, energies and falling doors at Faery Hof. The synchronicities have been over the top, as have the recent collective energies, which we are all processing in our own ways. I know David and I are in a period of major shift as we wind up our time in Goshen, and I know these painted portal doors are powerful. They always work, often very fast, and are coded for specific results as well as the highest good of all involved, not just human-centric.

Each door contains a personal prayer, as well as a collective offering. I’ve had some of them for nearly seven years, but I painted most in 2010, during my nine months in my ninth floor tower apartment two blocks from…
