December 2022 Specials

You still have one more day for November 2022 Specials.

DECEMBER 2022 SPECIALS

2023 Astro Preview

This was a popular special in December 2021, and I feel led to offer it again this year. A 75-minute Astrology Reading with in-depth focus on supportive and challenging transits for you in the coming year. We’ll look at opportunities to expand into your soul’s purpose for being here now. We can also explore good time windows for action, rest, healing, and/or creating.

Learning to work with the energies already in play — in your natal chart and in the sky — helps you to create more realistic strategies and expectations. When you know the flavor of challenges on the way, you can choose to experience them on a higher or symbolic level, rather than getting blindsided by so-called “fate.” This reading also supports people who already know their goals for next year but want to know which time windows work best for which purposes.

As always, I will tailor these readings to the individual. $222 for an hour and a quarter (fifteen minutes free) if prepaid on or before 12/31/2022. Please contact me to sign up.

$44 Tarot Special

I’m extending this special again this month, because a lot of people like to have a tarot preview for the New Year. Others like to give these Tarot Specials as gifts.

Half-hour tarot reading at 20% off the usual rate. Tarot readings offer an energetic check-in, the chance to ask questions about pending decisions or intentions, and represent a fun, yet powerful way to gain perspective on relationships and challenges. They can also be used to offer a snapshots of themes and trajectories.

Tarot readings are particularly good for people who don’t know what kinds of questions to ask me; they just want some kind of guidance because they feel unsure of what’s coming or what to focus upon. Tarot also seems to benefit those people who have exceptionally good things coming their way, yet wonder if I might be “padding the reading” or “just saying what they want to hear.” The cards don’t lie. (Neither do I – but the cards seem an even more objective medium for delivering good news.)

Please contact me if you’d like to sign up for this special. $44 instead of the usual $55.55. Offer valid if prepaid on or before 12/31/2022.

You can also request this special as a gift for someone else.

Gift Certificates:

Each year, people ask if they can gift a session to a loved one. I like to offer a discount to honor the love and care behind this gift. Certificates purchased in 2021 will remain valid through December 31, 2023. Since people always ask me this: no, you may not purchase a gift certificate for yourself. You can, however, request someone else get you a gift certificate. When you contact me to order a gift certificate, please let me know the name of the person you’re gifting, as well as any details you’d like me to include on the certificate. I’ll create and email you a personalized PDF, which you can email or print out for your loved one.

2022 gift certificates cover any of my services at $99/half hour instead of the usual rate of $133/half hour.

December 2022 Forecast and Fourth Quarter North Node Horoscopes

DECEMBER 2022 FORECAST

We finish 2022 with a shift of energies and a changing worldview. In many ways, the intensity and frustration of 2022 set the stage for a much more eventful 2023. All the Jupiter/Neptune in Pisces energy, plus Mars Retrograde from October 30-January 13, 2023 make it difficult to evaluate 2022 and take action without the benefit of additional hindsight.

This need for review gets amplified by ending the year with Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn. Time to dot your i’s and cross your t’s. Mercury remains Retrograde until January 18, 2023 when Mercury stations Direct on the same day that the Sun conjuncts Pluto. We can expect something deep and profound to arise from our retrospection, but this year ends with a backwards look and suspended animation.

For now, tend to the things you can control and influence. In some cases that might “just” mean prayer and meditation. Actions come later, and that’s OK. Everything’s happening at the proper time and pace, no matter how much the collective cries, “Are we there yet?!” No, we’re not. We will be, but not yet.

December 3 Neptune stations Direct in Pisces. After months of internal confusion and delusion, we’ll get more clarity once Neptune resumes forward motion in his home sign. As Within, So Without: we clean up the world’s illusions by cleaning up our own projections. A good time to focus on meditation, poetry, and creating a more beautiful world. If you have addictive tendencies exercise caution so you don’t go overboard. Outer planetary energies are strongest when they station.

December 6 Mercury enters Capricorn. Analysis and realism come to the fore. After the optimism of Sagittarius, Mercury in Capricorn takes a sober look at where and how things stand. Practical solutions need exploration before implementation.

December 7 Full Moon in Gemini, 11:08 p.m. Eastern US time. This “Long Nights Moon” almost exactly conjuncts Mars in the 16th degree of Gemini. Rounding up to 17 Gemini, the Sabian Symbol for this conjunction is: THE HEAD OF A ROBUST YOUTH CHANGES INTO THAT OF A MATURE THINKER. Dane Rudhyar calls this “a process of MENTAL METAMORPHOSIS.” This Full Moon/Mars conjunction happens right between the US natal Descendant and the US natal Mars, meaning questions about relationships, war, and known enemies are “up” for the United States. With double Mars involvement, answers to these questions will demand decisive action.

December 9 Venus enters Capricorn. Venus in Sagittarius needs freedom to roam. When she moves into Capricorn, Venus wants commitment. Our values turn more traditional, and we assess what works or doesn’t work for us in relationships. Are they one way only, or mutually beneficial? Does form follow function? Can something practical also look and feel beautiful? Now through January 2 marks a great time to focus on skincare and putting your best face forward.

December 14 Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces. While a yearning for truth soars, the bigger picture stays murky. Grand illusions could shatter as light shines on deception, but discernment will be in short supply. The fog of war is thick right now. When in doubt, turn off the spin cycle. Today offers great energy for creative pursuits. Focus your energy there instead of trying to make sense of nonsense. Real clarity comes on the 17th, not today.

December 17 Mercury in Capricorn trine Uranus in Taurus. Unusual information, bizarre solutions and psychic downloads characterize this time. With both Mercury and higher octave Uranus in Earth signs, the information and understanding will have practical value and applications. Bring a notebook with you, and pay attention to sudden flashes of insight.

December 20 Jupiter re-enters Aries. Jupiter crosses the world axis and begins a new 12-year cycle. 29 Pisces is the last degree of the last sign of the zodiac, and 0 Aries is the first. In the sign of individual will and adventure, the planet of optimism, higher learning and broad horizons reminds us to expand our thinking. Jupiter remains in Aries until May 16, 2023.

December 21 Sun enters Capricorn. Yule/Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, and Litha/Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere. While Sagittarius longs for Truth, Capricorn implements practical steps, rules and regulations. Bold optimism gets a reality check. Big ideas take on physical form through sober assessment and solid methods. Sagittarius is more fun, but Capricorn ensures it all gets done with proper protocol.

December 23 New Moon in Capricorn, 5:16 a.m. Eastern US time. This New Moon occurs less than an hour after Chiron stations Direct in Aries. We’ve got a stellium with Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Pluto all in Capricorn. All that Capricorn energy brings sombre realizations and a desire for stability. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon point is: THREE ROSE WINDOWS IN A GOTHIC CHURCH, ONE DAMAGED BY WAR. The damaged cathedral still stands, but Chiron Direct seeks healing after violence and destruction.

December 29 Mercury stations Retrograde until January 18. Third exact hit of the First US Pluto Return. Anytime the year finishes in Mercury Retrograde, we won’t have a clear assessment of that year until Mercury stations Direct. We’re encouraged to go inward, review, revamp, retool, and reexamine. Most people do this anyway at the end of the year. The difference with Merc Rx is that the flip to January 1 won’t feel quite so new. Not just yet. We’re still in the midst of a massive process, including a death and rebirth cycle for the United States, which continues to throw the rest of the world into chaos, too. This is the third “gong” of the First US Pluto Return, and perhaps the third time will be the charm–invoking more regenerative and resilient energies.

December 31 Venus conjunct Pluto. Passionate desires, total intimacy and obsessions rise to the surface. Warning: this New Year’s Eve could break all sorts of taboos. Minimize drugs and alcohol if you want to maintain any semblance of control. This conjunction supports creative projects powered by dreams and the subconscious. Your deepest soul longings become impossible to ignore. New Year’s Resolutions for 2023 will feel more intense than usual.

Those who pan back far enough can see we live during incredible times with massive potential. When you review your year, give yourself the credit you deserve for making it this far. 2022 wasn’t easy, but it was an important year. We’ll discover more reasons why in 2023 and beyond.

How December’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This quarterly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.

You can find your North Node sign here which is often different than your Sun sign. If you’re right on the cusp, consider both possibilities or book a reading for more clarity.

FOURTH QUARTER 2022 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: You have what it takes to triumph in these challenging times! Fear not. You were made to rise to the occasion. Your path is more about action than daydreaming, but strategic visualization helps you to succeed. Don’t sacrifice yourself to or for anyone else. If you can’t see a way forward, you’ll find victory by turning your perspective upside down and inside out. Mars, your North Node sign’s ruler, assists from Gemini. “Hurry up and wait” marks this quarter. You’re on a need to know basis, but when you get the nudge to act, do! You want to hide from conflict and confrontation, but you benefit from wisely chosen battles. Courage breeds opportunity.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: October and November highlight your North and South Node axis, with key planets moving through Taurus and Scorpio. The Sun, Venus and Mercury in Scorpio, bring up old relationships, worldviews and versions of yourself for review. The November 8 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus reactivates the Mars-Uranus-North Node conjunction from late July/early August. You’ve got another powerful chance to set intentions and manifest something new. Remember, Taurus North Node natives benefit from step-by-step progress rather than Scorpio’s trauma-drama. Repeat and build upon prior successes instead of demanding change in one fell swoop.

GEMINI NORTH NODE: This is a quarter to get things done! With Mars crisscrossing your North Node sign, you can expect activation and opportunity. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it will not happen now. Watch for signs and synchronicities. These arrive like love notes from the Universe, telling you to keep exploring, keep playing, and keep finding new avenues to delight. The December 7-8 Full Moon in Gemini almost exactly conjuncts Mars. This event marks a powerful time to challenge old dogma and welcome new ways of engaging life. You are so much more than your past. Enjoy the journey and increased pace.

CANCER NORTH NODE: A surprisingly active quarter, even without conjunctions in your North Node sign. Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces and trines from Scorpio offer positive transformation to your nodal axis. In December, the Sun, Mercury and Venus traverse your South Node sign of Capricorn, bringing a chance to review old relationships, worldviews and self-conceptions. How can you integrate the best of the old with where your soul longs to go? You might need periods of rest and retreat in order to make the most of opportunities for emotional and spiritual liberation. Take time to nurture yourself and others.

LEO NORTH NODE: Friction continues from significant activity in Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius. You might feel a vague sense of irritation or impatience, but pay attention to opportunities that arise from “nowhere.” Mars in Gemini sextiles your North Node and offers subtle, yet strong support. Solutions to your challenges don’t always scream for attention, but they do arrive. A combination of hard work, passion and divine dispensation makes this quarter highly productive. Your financial situation could change for the better as your ships come into harbor. Stay grounded and tapped into your radiant heart. It will lead you well.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: Fourth Quarter 2022 could shatter grand illusions and New Age platitudes. If you find your faith shaken, take time to ground yourself in daily tasks and rituals. Tend to your health, your finances and your worldview. When the bigger picture stops making sense, drop into the details. Gather information and see how things begin to fit together. Resist the urge to generalize too fast or to skip over ugly facts and figures. When you face “the worst case scenario,” you find tremendous strength. If you orient your mind towards service, you’ll discover silver linings to everything you thought you lost. Beware of alcohol, sugar and drugs. You’ll make better decisions without their influence.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: October brings opportunities for love, romance and teamwork. Connections offer greater satisfaction and security than forging ahead on your own. December’s Capricorn energies square your nodal axis, creating productive friction. Pay attention to insights about your own inner conflicts, then aim for harmony inside and out. Take time to relax and retreat when needed. The Universe operates in its own timing. You can position yourself well for its arrival, but you can’t rush destiny. Whenever you feel impatient, look for and create more beauty. Focus on relationships with those walking similar paths.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: Fourth Quarter 2022 brings Eclipse Season to your nodal axis. The October 25 New Moon in Scorpio Solar Eclipse conjuncts Venus to bring extra blessings to Scorpio North Node natives. An extended passage of Sun, Venus and Mercury in Scorpio highlights destined revelations about your identity, relationships, self-esteem and worldview. You’ll find deep insights into subconscious motivations and how things work. The Great Mystery tips its hand to you. The November 8 Full Moon in Taurus Lunar Eclipse helps you to release old things standing in the way of your happiness.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Mars in Gemini stirs things up by activating your South Node sign. You might feel overwhelmed by too many details, distractions and obligations. When in doubt, take the higher, broader view. You can’t be all things to everyone. Find what you love and stick to it, even if that means hard work and a period of apprenticeship. Don’t scatter your energies. You succeed by taking things to their biggest and brightest conclusion. In November, the Sun, Mercury and Venus enter your North Node sign, bringing powerful, destiny aligned encounters. The November 23 New Moon in Sagittarius allows you to realign and shine.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: Fourth Quarter 2022 brings a sense of karmic balance and success after a long, tricky journey. You feel more sovereign, more grounded and others recognize your accomplishments. December lights up your North Node sign, especially around the time of the December 23 New Moon in Capricorn. At the end of December, Mercury stations retrograde in Capricorn, so prepare to finish things ahead of the 29th, or expect some major reworkings of destiny level projects and structures. You’ll know whether to finish or await this natural time of review. Just pay attention to which doors open and which ones seem difficult or impossible to enter.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: The Saturn-Uranus Square from October 3-6 affects Aquarius North Node natives more than most, because Saturn and Uranus co-rule your sign. When in doubt, you’ll need to lean more towards group harmony and innovation, rather than a “my way or the highway” attitude. With Saturn traversing your sign since December 2017, you may have felt delayed gratification or constriction. Saturn stations direct on October 23, bringing forward momentum as he moves through the rest of Aquarius before entering Pisces on March 7, 2023. Saturn’s not the most popular, but he does troubleshoot for success. Use this time to build a strong foundation for your future.

PISCES NORTH NODE: This is an important quarter for you. Mars squares your nodal axis as he crisscrosses Gemini. This tension creates opportunities that help you to realign with your soul’s true north. You might feel tempted to go into your mind, trying to figure out everything on the mental level, but you’ll find inspiration and grace by tending to your emotions and spirituality. Calm the stormy seas, commit to a glorious Mystery, and allow yourself to retreat from worldly cares. You have nothing to be ashamed of, Pisces. Perfection’s not the goal anymore. Peace, harmony, grace, beauty and unconditional compassion are. Your sign’s ruler, Neptune, stations direct on December 3. If things have felt surreal and slow, don’t worry. Something big is moving in your favor.

The Magic of Gratitude

Wishing everyone a Happy Gratitude Day!

Even if you’re not in the US or you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, remember to look around you with eyes of gratitude. Moments of magic can appear when least expected, and they lift the vibe all day. Thank you to all my blog readers–especially to those who share your insights and experiences in comments. I appreciate you, and so do many silent readers. I know from individual sessions that many people feel alone, but we are ALL connected. The comment section here is one way people realize that, and it has started more than one off blog friendship.

Much Love,

Laura

New Moon in Sagittarius ~ November 23, 2022

My November 2022 Forecast shared:

November 23 New Moon in Sagittarius, 5:57 p.m. Eastern US time. This Sagittarius New Moon occurs only a half-hour after Jupiter stations direct in Pisces. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and co-rules Pisces, so this shift from retrograde to direct motion strengthens Jupiter and his domain. Known as “the Great Benefic,” Jupiter expands everything he touches or influences. According to Dane Rudhyar, the Sabian Symbol for this 2° Sagittarius New Moon is: “WHITE-CAPPED WAVES DISPLAY THE POWER OF WIND OVER SEA.” He adds a “KEYNOTE: The mobilization of unconscious energies under the pressure of super-personal motives.” With the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Sagittarius and Jupiter stationing direct in watery Pisces, we can expect some BIG waves! The tide is turning.

Dane Rudhyar’s full description of 2° Sagittarius provides more context:

Wind and sea are in constant interplay, and the results of that interplay are inspiring and beautiful. In symbolism, the wind (pneuma is the early Greek word for “spirit”) is associated with spiritual dynamism; the stirring of deep energies this dynamism produces obeys cosmic or super-personal rhythms, the power of which is irresistible.

At this second stage of the forty-ninth five-fold sequence we have a picture which contrasts the powerful but beautiful storms of nature with the often gory and hysterical crises of a civilization which progresses through war. The picture presented speaks of SUBTILIZATION THROUGH RHYTHMIC INTENSITY.

After the drama and Shadow Work of Scorpio, Sagittarius brings relief and triggers optimism. We feel more confident, and it’s easier to have faith in a bigger picture. Even so, the Sabian Symbol for this New Moon suggests our experiences will ebb and flow. Contrast will increase, at least for awhile. We can expect stormy seas, but this churning carries something wonderful to shore. Waves of labor pains bring forth a child.

The birth analogy seems extra potent because this New Moon exactly conjuncts asteroid Hera, associated with marriage, family and motherhood.

In addition to women and children, Hera is also associated with vindictiveness and revenge. When husband Zeus continues to cheat on her, Hera brings the pain to those she feels have wronged her. Hera keeps score and insists on fairness. If you’ve played by the rules, you’re golden, but Hera ensures that “cheaters never prosper.”

The New Moon in Sagittarius also squares Vesta in Pisces. A dwarf planet, Vesta is often called an “asteroid.” In mythology, she and her cult of Vestal Virgins tended the flame that kept Rome safe. According to astrology.com, “Vesta reminds us of our devotion to a spiritual path and where the profane meets the sacred in our lives. Through connecting with Vesta, we discover our dedication to personal ceremonies or rituals and the magic inherent in the human experience. It also expresses itself through the ways we channel sexual energy and potential.”

We should also note that in ancient times “virgin” meant complete unto oneself, not belonging to a man. It did not necessarily mean a celibate woman. Squares create productive friction, and the New Moon’s square to Vesta triggers some of that “rhythmic intensity.” If you dread the idea of intense waves, remember that this metaphor could also describe an orgasm. Not all intensity is “bad.”

Vesta’s presence increases the spirituality of this time period. Devotion provides a focal point when chaos looms, and simple acts bring powerful results. When we feel most overwhelmed by uncertainty, Vesta reminds us to keep our flame alive, to honor the most sacred element of our lives. In a way, she also embodies the maxim “As Within, So Without.” Tending our inner fire protects us from seemingly unrelated outer events.

Adding to the spiritual nature of this New Moon, Mars squares Neptune. Ego gets overwhelmed by the Great Mystery: “Not my will, but Thine be done.” Again, squares create productive friction. While direct action slows down, this is a good time to address spiritual aspects of mundane goals. Sometimes “no,” means “not yet,” because Spirit wants to offer you a bigger prize.

You’ll find the next few months easier with the Serenity Prayer: “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.” Knowing the difference between what you can and cannot change will keep you productive and sane as larger events cleanse and change the world.

In addition to squaring Neptune, at the time of the New Moon, Mars also trines Saturn. This transit goes most exact on November 28 but is already in effect on the 23rd. My monthly forecast shared: “November 28 Mars in Gemini trine Saturn in Aquarius. This is a git ‘er done transit. Solutions might not move as quickly as we’d like, but they are moving into strong position. Innovative solutions build a solid foundation for future events.”

The dance of Mars with Neptune and Saturn again reminds us of the wavelike nature of reality. We can’t control the ocean, but we can learn to surf. We can float, we can swim, and sometimes, we’ll want to stay onshore. As the saying goes, “When fishermen can’t go to sea, they repair their nets.” Sooner or later, we’ll catch something worthwhile, and for those aligned with Spirit, the waves will bring it all in perfect time.

“Elevation” Dream

I’m not sure what to make of this dream, but it seems collective so I’ll share it here:

11/18/2022
“Elevation”

This dream had something to do with Kari Lake, but I’m not sure what. She was in the dream, though, kind of narrating or explaining things.

There was a large area of all white scaffolding. I think it was metal, but painted white. Everything else seemed white, too, almost glowing. You needed permission to enter the scaffolding, and I walked in through a doorway. Not sure if I was really “in” the dream or just observing. People kept lying down on their backs on something like a surfboard that exactly fit their proportions. They lay on their backs and crossed their arms over their chests like mummies, but they were clothed and still alive.

You didn’t know who this would or wouldn’t happen to, but for some people, when they lay on their backs, the surfboard/coffin things would levitate and go up, up, up. They seemed to have fishing line strings on them to raise the boards with the people on them, but not everyone’s could be lifted. This part reminded me of the Egyptian myth of Ma’at and needing to have your heart the weight of a feather in order to pass the test. It also reminded me a little of old versions of the Judgment card in Tarot where people are rising out of their graves.

I met an older woman, and I commented to her how “graceful” she was. She was a little person, and I couldn’t tell if she had always been this petit or if she had shrunken with age. She wore bright colors, including a bright lipstick, and she smiled at me. I told her again how graceful she was, that she moved like a dancer. She smiled again, and it seemed certain that when she got on the board, hers would quickly rise. This wasn’t my neighbor Sue but kind of reminded me of her.

There was more to the dream, something about eating different types of food, but the main vision was all this white scaffolding, white floor, white partial walls, the almost invisible fishing line and the boards people would lie on with their arms crossed. I don’t know what happened if your board did not budge, but for the people whose boards did rise, it was a celebration. The ascension of the boards was called “elevation.”

END of dream journal.

Additional notes from my personal analysis after I typed up the dream:

If it has to do with the Arizona election, then I don’t know what to make of it at all. … The surfboard/coffin things seem eerie. Was this about Ascension? The Rapture? Having a light heart like for Ma’at? I just looked up Ma’at because I don’t know much about Egyptian mythology, https://www.worldhistory.org/Ma’at/ :

Ma’at (pronounced may-et) is the ancient Egyptian goddess of truth, justice, harmony, and balance (a concept known as ma’at in Egyptian) who first appears during the period known as the Old Kingdom (c. 2613 – 2181 BCE) but no doubt existed in some form earlier. She is depicted in anthropomorphic form as a winged woman, often in profile with an ostrich feather on her head, or simply as a white ostrich feather. The feather of Ma’at was an integral part of the Weighing of the Heart of the Soul ceremony in the afterlife where the heart of the soul of the dead person was weighed in the scales of justice against the feather.

I feel like the graceful older woman may have had a feather in her hat, or some kind of feathery outfit. Maybe she was Ma’at. I was definitely enchanted by her. On the surface, she seemed just like a little old lady, but she had power and embodied grace. More from worldhistory.org:

Ma’at is said to have been born of the sun god Ra (Atum) at the beginning of creation through the power of Heka, who was magic personified. Her name means “that which is straight” implying order, justice, and harmony. She is thought to have been present from the beginning of time when, from the primordial waters of Nun, the ben-ben (first mound of dry land) rose with Atum (or Ra, the sun god) standing upon it in the presence of the invisible Heka. In the moment that Ra spoke the world into creation, Ma’at was born. Her spirit of harmony and balance infused the creation and caused the world to operate rationally according to purpose. The principle of ma’at was the operational function of life and that of heka (magic) the power source which allowed for it. It is for this reason that she is considered more of a concept than a goddess with a specific personality and story like Isis or Hathor.

___

Anyway, just sharing here. It was an odd dream–the second one this week featuring some kind of behind the scenes all white setting. The other was this:

11/15/2022
“I Got a Gal”

There was way more to this dream that I forget. I was fighting for something behind the scenes—literally. It seemed more like an exhilarating fight than a stressful one, and I awoke feeling happy and relaxed because I had won whatever battle I fought behind the scenes. There were white panels, really nondescript, just plain [glowing] white panels that had been raised, but I kept seeing them just as they closed down to the floor. At one point, I managed to slide under a panel before it closed. That’s how I got behind the scenes to have whatever battle I had.

When I emerged, I knew I was victorious, and it didn’t feel like I just defeated some bad person but more like a difficult job really well done. I think I emerged the same way, by sliding under a white panel. In this case, the panel didn’t go all the way up but opened just enough for me to stop, drop and roll outta there.

Awoke with “I Got a Gal in Kalamazoo” playing in my head.

END of dream journal.

Some details have personal meaning to me, but both dreams feel like they have some kind of collective component: a battle and a sorting “behind the scenes.” Both dreams felt multidimensional.

First Frost and Snow

Well, it took until mid-November, but we finally got our first hard frost and a dusting of snow this weekend. Today we have our first snow accumulation. Last Thursday, I harvested all the greens from the Garden Tower, but I left the hardier kale plants up front until we dip below the 20’s. We’re making our way through the greens, and I’ll chop and freeze a bunch to make room for the larger kale plants I’ll need to harvest by Friday.

Although I cut back a lot of the front garden, I left some marigolds to see what they’d do in the snow. The leaves died, but the flowers look like little jewels!

I’ll trim them when I get to what has become a purple kale shrub! All the leaves I harvested this summer have re-sprouted on the stem. I hope if I cut it back low enough to get snow cover all winter, I’ll have second year kale in spring. 🙂

I suspect the lacinato will be even hardier than the purple kale, but they won’t do well without covers in 16 degree temps this weekend. I love frost nipped kale. It turns so sweet!

Sending everyone some snow covered blessings and good cheer from Michigan!

Dinner with a Loon

This morning’s Dream Guy commentary on society comes from the 1938 Screwball Comedy, “Bringing Up Baby.” For context, in the film, there really are leopards in Connecticut:

11/12/2022
“Dinner with a Loon”

For some reason, I dreamed the dinner scene from “Bringing Up Baby.” Not sure why. Comedy, but it’s also about gaslighting, lies and multiple people trying to get others to believe something other than the truth.

END of dream journal.

This is the scene:

From my dream journal commentary:

There are multiple situations of extreme gaslighting happening right now, so the dinner conversation could have been triggered by any of those. … [I]t could be ANY narrative being foisted on people, and the scene is masterful in that there are so many different levels of awareness and confusion. That’s quite similar to society right now.

Just in case you’re feeling crazy! Keep in mind that the “experts” saying, “It’s a loon” might have no idea what’s happening. And the other people telling you, “No, there are NO leopards in Connecticut” might be trying to fool you. Some people know they’re clueless. Others accidentally let the truth slip out, then retract it and run away.

Maintaining or cultivating a sense of humor helps. Things will continue to get crazier, but this, too, shall pass. 🙂

Bohemian Rhapsody

For some reason, different parts of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody keep blaring through my head–as a background to dreams, during the day, when I’m doing totally unrelated things. Maybe there’s a collective message in here somewhere:

Update on the Return of Wounded Knee Relics

Today’s post comes as follow up to earlier posts regarding the return of human remains and sacred relics from the Wounded Knee massacre. Thank you to everyone who continues to pray and send energy to the success of this important shift. On November 1, I received the following message from Mia Feroleto:

Hi Laura,

I hope all is well with you.  The artifacts are being returned this weekend and we are all very excited.

On [October] 25th Ray Grasse graced our New Moon Group with a talk on the US Pluto return and the return of the artifacts from Wounded Knee.  We edited out the second part of the talk which was not meant to be shared but here is the first half in case you would like to share it with your subscribers:

Enjoy!

Mia

(Laura again): The video has quite a political slant and represents Ray Grasse’s interpretation of history and current events. I post it here as one perspective but not the only perspective. Just FYI: I don’t want to get into political discussion on this blog, but I always appreciate wider perspectives.

The return of relics begins tomorrow–November 5, 2022– in Barre, MA and will culminate in a ceremony at Wounded Knee in late December. As mentioned before, astrologer Ray Grasse and I each came to independent conclusions about the connection between the Wounded Knee massacre and the First US Pluto Return. My awareness came via intuitive download, but Ray goes into much more astrological detail. He includes the following notes beneath the video:

A zoom presentation by Ray Grasse, on Oct. 25, 2022, on the relation of the U.S. Pluto return to current events in America, concluding with a look in how this epic astrological development helps explain important events taking place in the Native American community now. specifically those centering on the efforts of Mia Feroleto (the first person appearing in the video) to help repatriate personal items plundered from the site of the Wounded Knee massacre in 1890.

For a complete transcript of my original 2019 article on the Pluto return (for The Mountain Astrologer magazine) see here: https://www.astro.com/astrology/tma_a…

An upcoming issue of New Observations magazine (which Mia edits) will be dedicated to Native American concerns, particularly around the Wounded Knee issue. For more information: https://www.newobservations.org/

Also, journalist and activist Abby Martin produced an excellent 19 min. video based on Mia Feroleto’s work, titled “Lakota Human Remains Stolen from US Army Massacre Hoarded by Private Museum,:” on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KODQ…

(Laura again): For those who don’t care about astrology, the upshot is that the artifacts will be returned tomorrow. This is great news! The good faith gesture corrects an ongoing abusive situation and helps to ease some of the intensity headed to the US in these chaotic times.

Full Moon in Taurus, Lunar Eclipse ~ November 8, 2022

My November 2022 Forecast shared:

November 8 Full Moon in Taurus, Lunar Eclipse, 6:02 a.m. Eastern US time. Also called the “Mourning Moon,” this one occurs on (the scheduled) Election Day in the US. The Full Moon peaks at exactly 16°00′ Taurus, between Uranus and the North Node. This portends an intense day, pointing towards the future. The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is: “AN OLD TEACHER FAILS TO INTEREST HIS PUPILS IN TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE. KEYNOTE: The inadequacy of past knowledge in time of crisis.” According to Dane Rudhyar, “We might speak here of the principle of CREATIVE FRUSTRATION.” Mercury and Venus conjunct the Scorpio Sun point. This meeting may temper frustration through love, but nasty, vindictive words, jealousy and revenge could also arise. Depending on events, Uranus and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse could trigger riots, but hopefully not!

We may already be witnessing some early Eclipse energy with the unfolding situation in Brazil. I don’t like to talk politics on my blog–and I am not commenting on specific agendas other than to say that we may see this Eclipse Season play out on the geopolitical field.

If the North Node and Uranus were in Scorpio rather than Taurus, I would feel more concerned. With Taurus highlighted for the future orientation (both Uranus and the North Node), it seems something liberating and tangibly empowering will be unleashed. What that will be remains anyone’s guess. Uranus is full of surprises, and “creative frustration” suggests people may not be satisfied with the first round of whatever transpires. Uranus, the North Node and this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse sit within a few degrees of the Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction in late July-early August 2022 and this event re-triggers the fourth exact Saturn square Uranus event in early October 2022. We can look back to those times to see which issues may rear their heads again on November 8th.

Eclipses play out over the next six months, so we’ll see how everything unfolds in the longer term. Overall, this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on the scheduled US Election Day seems important. The US will undergo its own ritual, which may or may not produce desired results, depending on your politics, as well as depending on who counts the votes–and how they do so.

I suspect we won’t have full clarity on the 8th itself, and certainly the First US Pluto Return continues to affect the entire world. Some people have wondered aloud why the UK keeps getting hit by disruption, and I would remind everyone that the US Pluto Return is also the Pluto Return of Great Britain’s role in the American Revolution. Time continually cycles, not just relative to natal charts. We can compare transits for any major event or time period.

Wherever you live on Planet Earth, you’re living through massive changes. Again, with the North Node in Taurus (stability/tradition/Earth Element/security), rather than Scorpio (death/destruction/rebirth), it seems that humanity will ultimately move through a period of disruption into one of greater stability and breakthroughs rather than total breakdowns (Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus/Full Moon Lunar Eclipse/North Node in Taurus).

How can you best utilize this eclipse energy? That depends a lot on your natal chart, but here are some good questions to ponder:

  1. In which areas, do I need to shore up, gather, repair and/or become more self-sufficient?
  2. What limiting beliefs or habits can I upgrade to something more nourishing, sustainable and supportive?
  3. Which traditions are worth preserving? Which ones deserve to die in these times of change?
  4. Which innovations would allow me to experience the best of the old while embracing the new?
  5. What does my body tell me I need to do? What does my physical reaction tell me is true or false?
  6. What feeds my body, my home, and my self-esteem?
  7. What do I value and why? Do I really value these things, or did someone tell me I should value them?

With the Sun, Venus, Mercury and the South Node in Scorpio opposite Uranus, Full Moon/Total Eclipse and the North Node in Taurus, we have an opportunity to release that which no longer serves. Think “liberation” and “innovation” rather than simply getting rid of old things. Focus on upgrades, and you can benefit from potential chaos. Patience will serve well, since some of these systemic upgrades take time. Step by careful step, both internal and external worlds will shift beyond a need to crash and burn.
