Reiki

Reiki is an ancient healing method rediscovered in the 19th century by the Japanese monk Dr. Mikao Usui. The “Rei” in Reiki stands for “universal” or” spiritual,” and the “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as “Chi” or “prana” in other Eastern systems of healing and energy work such as feng shui, Tai Chi, Qigong, or yoga. Thus, Reiki refers to “universal life force energy,” “divinely directed healing energy,” or “life energy of a spiritual nature,” with an emphasis on subtle energy fields rather than the physical body. By working on all the different levels, Reiki helps the body to relax into a state that allows optimal self-healing.

Reiki Certification Classes of all levels are now forming for the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. Students will learn how to provide healing, relaxing energy treatments for themselves and others. Reiki offers a wonderful complement to massage therapy and other healing modalities, but it can also be used as natural healing support for friends and family. Each level offers full instruction and certification to offer Reiki Treatments. No prerequisites for Reiki Level 1!

Long Distance Reiki Treatments
Because Reiki works with energy, once a practitioner has completed Level 2 training or higher, distance does not matter. For a distant session, we determine a mutually convenient time during which you can relax and receive the energy. Reiki sessions cost $85/hour.

Healing Attunements
The Reiki Healing Attunement is a precise technology that opens the body’s energy channels (meridians and chakras), helping them to embrace the natural process of growth and healing. In addition to acute illness or injury, Reiki Healing Attunements are often used to empower goals or to help a person move beyond limiting patterns and resistance. In Reiki, the recipient always determines how much Reiki they receive and accept. A Healing Attunement allows the recipient’s Higher Self to take a more active role in recovery and goal achievement. Many people experience dramatic shifts following this type of attunement. $55/Healing Attunement

Reiki Certification Classes
I became a Reiki Master Teacher in March 2002 and have been certifying practitioners and Reiki Master Teachers ever since. I’ve taught all over the U.S.; however, I am currently offering most of my Reiki Certification Classes in Kalamazoo, Michigan and other areas of Michigan. Please note that in addition to in person training, I also offer phone and email based instruction and certification for Reiki Master Teachers worldwide. I have trained many, many students this way. Oftentimes people who already have their Reiki Master or even their Reiki Master Teacher certification from another teacher sign up for this type of training as a refresher course and/or to prepare for teaching their own classes.
