September 2020 North Node Horoscopes

Catherine Grace O and her web guru are experiencing some technical issues at the website host level, which has delayed posting this month’s individual North Node Horoscopes. Since we’re already into September, I wanted to get the intro/month overview up for all of you. I’ll link to Catherine’s site as soon as the individual ‘scopes are live, hopefully within 24-48 hours. (They’re live now.)

Blessings and Happy Full Moon!

SEPTEMBER 2020 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

September 2020 energies bring a chance to re-balance some of the insanity we’ve seen on the collective stage since March. This potential to find a new balance peaks at Equinox on the 22nd, but the whole month brings supportive energies towards that end.

The month begins with a Full Moon in Pisces at 1:22 a.m. Eastern US time on September 2. Collectively, we can use this time to focus on the bigger cosmic and spiritual picture — that which transcends polarization. A week later, Mars goes Retrograde in Aries and will remain Rx in Aries until November 13. Fire energies will still run high, but perhaps a bit less so. Instead of charging full speed ahead, take time to reassess your goals and desires. A fire can warm and inspire or burn down your house. Choose wisely how you use the Fire Element.

Jupiter turns Direct in Capricorn on September 12, allowing for more optimism and expansion. Jupiter has one more season in conservative Capricorn. Though frustrating, this journey forces us to ground our big ideas and philosophies into the tangible, real world. The New Moon in Virgo on September 17th amplifies this Earth energy. This New Moon makes a harmonious trine with Saturn in Capricorn, bringing a cooler head to some of the wild, fiery emotions since the Leo New Moon in August. As within, so without. This is a chance to hit reset — an earthy, grounded New Moon.

September finishes with Saturn turning Direct at 1:11 a.m. Eastern time on the 29th. This is Saturn’s final pass through Capricorn until he re-enters Aquarius in December. We can best use this final stretch of Saturn in his home sign to improve structures, and ensure strong foundations for whatever new paradigms begin at the end of 2020 and beyond.

How this sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This monthly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.

August North Node Horoscopes are Up!

You can click straight through for your monthly North Node Horoscope. Here’s the August 2020 astro weather report:

August 2020 features potent energies in the Collective. August 3 brings a Full Moon in Aquarius at 11:59 a.m. Eastern US time. This potent opposition of Sun in Leo, Moon in Aquarius forms a T-square with volatile liberator Uranus in Taurus. The energies will affect everyone, but especially those with key placements in 10-13 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Any conflicts between head and heart may reach a crisis or catharsis during this Full Moon. You’ll fair best by balancing nurturing, love and stability with your need for freedom.

Depending on your time zone, in the late hours of August 4 or early August 5, Mercury moves from Cancer to Leo. This Messenger brings the element of Air to fiery Leo, and Air fuels Fire. Communication will go faster and further: try to pause before you speak or write. Communicate from the heart.

On August 5, transiting Venus conjuncts the Collective North Node at 28 Gemini. This is a powerful alignment in which the Goddess of Love has a date with Destiny. This date offers course correction in areas of love, romance, beauty, wealth and self-esteem. The Nodes move backwards through the zodiac, so this meeting is brief, yet potent, with lasting effects. The Collective Nodes affect everyone, but this alignment will especially affect anyone with significant placements at 27-29 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces.

On August 15, Uranus stations direct and moves retrograde for the rest of 2020. This transit offers a slight reprieve from 2020’s revolutionary fervor. Use this time to get clear on intention, because late 2020 and early 2021 will burst forth before you know it! Expect unusual, paradigm shifting revelations from August through the rest of the year. The New Moon on August 18 offers a chance for reset with revised intentions and perhaps a slower, more nurturing pace.

August 22, the Sun enters Virgo, shifting from Fire to Earth. Virgo’s a mental Earth sign, ruled by Mercury, so the final week of August encourages us to ground our thoughts into physical form. Hug a tree, walk barefoot on the grass. Brings those ideas down to Earth.

– Laura

June North Node Horoscopes are Up

Due to the holiday weekend, these got posted a little later than the usual 22nd, but they’re up now.

North Node June Theme!

Eclipse Season begins with a Sagittarius Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 5, followed by a Cancer New Moon Solar Eclipse on June 21st, just one day after Summer Solstice. These events will affect everyone on some level. Whether or not it triggers any destiny level activity in your life depends on not only the sign but especially the degree of your North Node.

You can read the rest of the intro and find your individual North Node Horoscope by clicking here. (If you don’t know your North Node sign, Catherine Grace O’s blog has a handy chart to figure it out.)

Normally, I recommend reading both your sign and the sign associated with the house of your North Node (if you know it), but this month has such specific alignments in the sky that your North Node sign kind of trumps its house. You can read both, but the house is less involved in the predictions than it often is. For reference:

1st House North Node = Aries North Node similarities

2nd House North Node = Taurus North Node similarities

3rd House North Node = Gemini North Node similarities

4th House North Node = Cancer North Node similarities

5th House North Node = Leo North Node similarities

6th House North Node = Virgo North Node similarities

7th House North Node = Libra North Node similarities

8th House North Node = Scorpio North Node similarities

9th House North Node = Sagittarius North Node similarities

10th House North Node = Capricorn North Node similarities

11th House North Node = Aquarius North Node similarities

12th House North Node = Pisces North Node similarities

For example, if you have a Leo North Node in the 12th house, your primary North Node Horoscope would be Leo, but you’ll also find guidance in the Pisces North Node information. The beauty of North Node horoscopes is that you can usually calculate the sign without an exact birth time, and the sign is always super relevant to your life path. As with anything in astrology, though, the more exact time you have, the more subtle information you can glean.

Again, this month’s North Node Horoscopes are less house-specific and more sign-specific than usual.

Happy Eclipse Season and Venus Retrograde!

Happy New Moon, Happy Earth Day and North Node Horoscopes are Up!

Wishing everyone a Happy New Moon and a Happy Earth Day! For me, every day is Earth Day, but it’s nice to give our Mama some extra love on her Earth Day!

Tonight we have a potent New Moon in Taurus, within three degrees of volatile, liberating Uranus in Taurus. The New Moon exactly conjuncts my own Part of Fortune (happy spot in the chart) and trines my Ascendant, so I’m curious to see what this Uranian Moon activates in my own life.

Meanwhile, new North Node Horoscopes are up. Since I write these for the coming astrological month, we decided to call these “May North Node Horoscopes” even though it’s April. It just seems to make more sense going forward.

I’ll repeat here what I share each month:

If you don’t know your North Node sign, Catherine’s got a table on her site to tell you. Those of you who happen to know both your North Node sign and its house will also find value looking up the corresponding sign for that house:

1st House North Node = Aries North Node similarities

2nd House North Node = Taurus North Node similarities

3rd House North Node = Gemini North Node similarities

4th House North Node = Cancer North Node similarities

5th House North Node = Leo North Node similarities

6th House North Node = Virgo North Node similarities

7th House North Node = Libra North Node similarities

8th House North Node = Scorpio North Node similarities

9th House North Node = Sagittarius North Node similarities

10th House North Node = Capricorn North Node similarities

11th House North Node = Aquarius North Node similarities

12th House North Node = Pisces North Node similarities

For example, if you have a Leo North Node in the 12th house, your primary North Node Horoscope would be Leo, but you’ll also find guidance in the Pisces North Node information. The beauty of North Node horoscopes is that you can usually calculate the sign without an exact birth time, and the sign is always super relevant to your life path. Free Resources for These Times

I keep hearing from a lot of very stressed out people. Totally understandable: these are intense times! How do I stay grounded, happy, and whole amidst the insanity? Chants, chants and more chants. For me, sacred chants work wonders. Your mileage may vary, but here’s a fun light and sound show based on Om and healing water sounds.

Also, March North Node Horoscopes are up on Catherine Grace O’Connell’s blog. Here’s her write-up about finding silver linings, or you can go directly to the North Node Horoscopes. Unlike generic Sun Sign blurbs, North Node advice tends to hit home. Whatever the rest of your chart indicates, your North Node represents where and how your soul wants to go this lifetime. Especially in times of crisis or rapid change, it helps to tap into your soul’s directive. If you’d like more information, you can set up a reading, but I offer these monthly North Node Horoscopes as a free service to individuals in the collective.

March 22, 2020 North Node Horoscopes are up!

Catherine and I continue to aim for a 22nd date release of these North Node Horoscopes. You can read them here. This month’s focus on ways to find your silver lining amidst change and crisis. They have more of an “everyone” slant than the more usual “midlife female” angle for Catherine’s main audience.

I’ll repeat here what I shared last month:

If you don’t know your North Node sign, Catherine’s got a table on her site to tell you. Those of you who happen to know both your North Node sign and its house will also find value looking up the corresponding sign for that house:

Mastering Modern Midlife with Catherine Grace O’Connell and Laura Bruno

Today, I’m excited to share my one and only video interview. I love Catherine’s write up from her newsletter, which you can read here. You can watch this conversation on Facebook, Podbean, iTunes, or YouTube, which I’ll also embed below. We cover medical intuition, healing, Lyme disease, some of my personal story, plus an extra focus on Midlife, the healing power of creativity, and the North Nodes.

Catherine refers several times to our having recorded this interview twice, alluding to me being “a very high vibe being.” The story behind that is the reason this remains my one and only video interview. I’ve done many phone interviews, and I used to have many videos on YouTube until my channel got censored in 2011. However, I don’t do sessions or interviews via video or computer, because I have a history of blowing out nearby electronics. Doing an intuitive tune-in ramps up my energy in a big, sometimes explosive way, so I lobbied hard for using a landline on my end. I delayed too long, and Catherine and her business partner Mike stopped doing audio-only interviews. By the time we scheduled, it was video or nothing.

I warned them about my tendency to blow things out, and I surrounded my laptop with stacks of orgone pucks. I theorized that I should be OK as long as Catherine didn’t ask me to do an intuitive scan or anything too energy related in the interview. If we were just talking, and I was careful with my energy, then it should work. We had a great conversation the first time, but at one point, she asked me an intuitive question. I tuned in and when I looked directly into the camera, I blew out the equipment on their end, erasing half the interview. This had never happened before or since, and they use backup cameras and recording. It was all wiped.

Soooo, we re-recorded, and we ended up enjoying this conversation even more. You might notice me trying hard not to look too directly into the camera. If you know me in person, you’ll also notice my concerted effort in this interview not to talk with my hands. I know from Reiki classes that whoever’s in line of my right hand — the one that almost got struck by lightning — gets blasted with energy the entire class. I didn’t want to send that energy into the camera or laptop screen.

I tried so hard to keep my energy in check so we could have a successful recording this time, and it worked!

I’m sharing the behind the scenes details here, because some people ask for video sessions and may wonder if I can do a video interview, then why can’t I do a video session? Trust me, you get much better intuitive work from me when I’m not spending the bulk of my energy trying not to blow out your or my equipment! It really took a massive amount of concentration not to let too much energy spontaneously leap out.

That said, this was a super fun interview. I love how it showcases Catherine’s and my friendship, as well as the deep topics of healing and transformation we discuss. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Do check out her write up here. Also, just a reminder that my monthly North Node Horoscopes are available exclusively on Catherine’s site. We post those around the 22nd of each month, depending on when the Sun changes signs. Enjoy!

True Colors: February North Node Horoscopes Are Up!

In our second month collaborating, Catherine Grace O’Connell posted my February 18 – March 19, 2020 North Node Horoscopes with a new article on her blog. You can find her article here at “True Colors: Your Fierce Feb North Node Readings.” She shares more of her own personal journey with our North Node work together. If you want to go straight to the ‘scopes, you can find them here. I had so much fun writing these! I incorporated your North Node sign’s color for an accessible connection to what often feels foreign at first — even though it’s your soul’s biggest dream in this lifetime.

If you don’t know your North Node sign, Catherine’s got a table on her site to tell you. Those of you who happen to know both your North Node sign and its house will also find value looking up the corresponding sign for that house:

1st House North Node = Aries North Node similarities

5th House North Node = Leo North Node similarities

(Just a little tip to pull more from these monthly North Node Horoscopes.)

We’re still aiming to release these on or around the 22nd. Since the Sun moved into Pisces on the 18th, I finished them earlier this month. I wanted to wait for Catherine’s article before posting the February North Node Horoscopes link, because I knew she had some gems to share this time. 🙂

Announcing a New Collaboration with Catherine Grace O’Connell!

I’m so excited to announce this long in the works collaboration with one of my favorite people on the planet, Catherine Grace O’Connell. I featured an interview with Catherine back in 2016, sharing her amazing recovery from Lyme Disease. She’s come so far since then, now a leader and inspiration for so many women in Midlife and beyond.

She began as a client, nearly at death’s door when we started working together. Catherine has since become a dear friend. We’ve talked about collaborating in some way since that interview in 2016, and everything came together for it to happen this year. New Year, New Decade!

I’ll be writing a monthly North Node Horoscopes column for her site and newsletter. Unlike typical Sun Sign Horoscopes, which rarely hit the mark, if you follow the path of your North Node, you’ll always hit your True North.

The column was Catherine’s idea, because my work around her Leo North Node proved so pivotal in her recovery and now career and life purpose. She wanted to share that with other women in a big way. (Her site is tailored to women, but many men read it, too. Catherine just feels a particular calling to help Midlife Women find themselves in a big way.) You can read Catherine’s vision and North Node story here.

We plan to release new scopes each month around the 22nd or so. We got them up that day, when the Moon just happened to cross my own North Node, but she planned a bigger launch today. I hope you enjoy this joint offering. If you’re not familiar with Catherine, you’re in for a treat. She combines beauty on the outside with fierce passion and beauty on the inside, inspiring people to transcend the life they were told to live … and instead, have courage to live the one they’re meant to live.

Big blessings and Happy Chinese New Year, too!
