One wonders how many backdoor negotiations continue during the government shutdown sham? If you’re reading from any of the Pacific Rim Countries listed in the below video, I encourage you to let those who claim to represent you in government know that you are watching them and are holding them accountable. Now. Before it’s too late. If you live in Europe, the US or Canada, I encourage you to scroll through for information about the equivalently evil trade agreement in the works for your areas. (It’s called the TTIP.)
FYI, the TPP details are so secret that (despite their demands) even Congress hasn’t been able to get its hands on the actual agreement details. Meanwhile, the largest corporations and the White House are all sitting at the table hammering out the next (strengthened) dictatorship. Think we’ve got a problem with corporate fascism now? Just you wait. The few details that have been leaked suggest that TPP would completely undermine any GMO labeling or bans, even in countries that already have such bans. It also would make the lowest common denominator of food standards the mandatory standard for all participating countries. In other words, let’s say China joins. Most of us have heard about Chinese “foods” that make even Monsanto’s frankenfoods look safe and healthy. Well, guess what? If China decides to join, then their food regulation levels could become those of all other participating countries. No exceptions, no matter what your nation’s laws require. The TPP overrides national sovereignty via corporate control. Again, no exceptions.
Ditto on workers rights. Think we’ve got a 1% problem now? At least workers can still organize to protest. The TPP seeks to stop all that, because, you know, this silly awakening of the little peons is bad for business. Must. Rape. More. Resources. Including people. The TPP also makes it a crime to click on certain internet links, even by accident. TPP takes the current levels of internet censorship and pumps them with GMO-mega-steroids. Because, you know, this internet awakening is also really pesky. Time to squash online opposition and free sharing of information that might (gasp!) free the people from corporate brainwashing and domination. We just can’t afford to have such things in our Brave New World (Order).
Those of you in Europe can look forward to something called the TTIP, the equivalent attempt at a secretive, corporate and big government run global trade agreement for countries on opposite sides of the Atlantic. If you’ve been sitting in Europe patting yourselves on the back that only silly Americans are so stupid to allow unlabeled GMO’s and rampant plantings of GMO crops in their country while you’ve got mandatory labeling or GMO crop bans in your country … well, think again. If this trade agreement goes through, then you, yes you, could be forced to accept US insanity as your own food, safety and worker guidelines. The TTIP also goes after intellectual and free speech rights.
Just as in the US, in the EU, this agreement is being negotiated in secrecy by lobbyists of the largest and sickest corporations in the countries affected. “These new treaties which represent U.S. and Canadian private corporations interests in EU countries and gives corporations as Exxon, Monsanto, Dow chemicals and many others right to sue any EU country and EU at the International Court. Both treaties are based on copyright regulations and compulsorily binding rules in order to get compensation if democratically approved legislation harms their interests.”
Here’s a video about the TPP:
“TPP: a trade and globalization agreement among 12 countries (Australia, Brunei-Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States, and Vietnam). If this agreement puts corporate rights first, workers and their families in all 12 countries could be harmed by downward pressure on wages and labor rights; more polluted air and water; reduced access to life saving medicines; and more powerful corporations influencing our laws and trying to override our voices. We encourage you to learn more about the TPP, share the video, and sign the petition to ask the governments involved to put people first as they work on this deal. Learn more about the TPP here:
The following labor federations and organizations helped create this video: ACTU (Australia), AFL-CIO (US), CATP (Peru), CGTP (Peru), CLC (Canada), CSD (Canada), CSN (Canada), CUT (Peru), ITUC (International), MTUC (Malaysia), NZCTU (New Zealand), RedGE (Peru), and UNT (Mexico).

Stop the Madness. Dr. Evil, Darth Vader, Monsatan and the lying, spying fascists and eugenicists belong in straight jackets and padded cells, not at the highest levels of power to determine our future. “Arrest” means stop, in addition to the idea of imprisoning sociopaths. While the world teeters on the brink of global collapse, rest assured, these whack jobs are drooling and peeing themselves with the next opportunity to “save” us from ourselves. Please do something about this. The middle men required to enforce this dystopia need to know we’re onto them. We’re watching, and we support them standing up to the psychotic bullies using them as useful (and eventually expendable) idiots. Now is the time.

I don’t see how this is to do with corporate fascism. The nature of such an agreement is fragile by its own presumption: to involve so many nations, and get it acted through, requires ignoring a prejudiced whole. Trade agreements are for the good of commerce and industry – that is their purpose. There are many different forms of government involved and nobody has spoken ‘fascist’…we need to feed a growing world and expand.
One minute you say the White House are all secretly doing this, then that there is ‘no national sovereignty’. What exactly is your point of view?

My point of view is that the White House is not working for the benefit of US national sovereignty. The White House and the corporations at the table have refused to allow any Congressional oversight. The only scant information available has been leaked after much pressure. When corporations like Monsanto, Dow Chemical, etc. are the ones directing the laws of the land, and those laws are then set to make the worst, least people-friendly, most corporate-abuse-friendly regulations of each nation the law of all participating nations, it absolutely IS corporate fascism. In fact, it’s the very definition of corporate fascism.

But these corporations like Monsanto never ‘direct’ law, do they? They don’t have any remit to.
They are being aided by the law.
I would love to hear your educated perspective on the extent of this partnership, because after all it does have to be backed by political figures….
My own definition of corporate fascism would be efficiency.

Wow, I’m trying to think of where even to suggest you begin. I would suggest beginning here: https://laurabruno.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/jon-rappoport-monsanto-corporations-dont-run-government/ , noting the fact that “it’s a team operation.”
You might also want to check out this link for a list of crossovers between government and these corporations: https://ecoconvert.wordpress.com/2012/02/03/crossover-monsanto-government-officials/ They are nearly one and the same at this point.
Then, I would suggest reading “The Bankers Manifesto of 1892” : https://laurabruno.wordpress.com/2012/04/21/the-bankers-manifesto-of-1892/
This very lengthy article on Financial Tyranny will give you perhaps more background than you want to fathom: http://divinecosmos.com/start-here/davids-blog/1023-financial-tyranny
I will post more links as I think of them. This will keep you busy for awhile. The entire system is inbred, but there are layers of control. Corporations and big government, globalism and secrecy go hand in hand. Your own definition of corporate fascism might be efficiency, but I would ask you to examine the lengths to which you’re willing to go to achieve so called efficiency? Do you want everyone to be like the Chinese factory workers making iPhones? Do you want everyone to be like the Indian farmers committing suicide in droves due to the debt slavery of GMO seeds? Do you realize that pesticides and herbicides actually don’t increase long term efficiency or health? Did you ever visit Communist Russia or have you researched WW2 Italy or Germany? The actual histories, not the sanitized versions. How do you feel about living in a police state with private armies that answer only to corporations? Are you a fan of Hitler’s Brown Shirts/Gestapo or Mussolini’s secret police? Would it make things better if Monsanto, Dow Chemical, Google and Facebook were joined and asserting power as a global group dictator? How do you feel about the Inquisition or Sharia Law?
Definition of fascism:
1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2
: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Assuming China joins the TPP (as predicted it will), is the kind of life you’d wish on all factory workers, including in America? http://www.fastcompany.com/3014988/a-day-in-the-life-of-an-iphone-factory-worker Ohhh, it’s very efficient! That’s how we get cheap merchandise in the US.

Maybe just open your mind a little to the fact that cheap merchandise exists, and doesn’t have to go away.
There are two sides to every coin, and with worker rights, the presence of an MNC in an area may be a significant boost for their security of finance.
It saddens me that somebody would highlight the extant negatives about a new arragement coming true for the world. Your type of concerned egalitarian has had a powerful voice for a long time now…

LOL! “Concerned egalitarian” … how about: I just don’t want to live in a world that has even more substandard access to clean air, water, food and basic standards of living higher than a Medieval serf? Just curious, how much and which company is paying you to comment here? 🙂
