Whatever happens with Standing Rock — whether the stay on DAPL construction remains halted or requires more resistance — this is a beautiful reconciliation, forgiveness and a return to the original sacred status of the Warrior. In addition to bringing veterans and natives together, Standing Rock has also united indigenous tribes from all over the world. More of this kind of powerful healing, please!

The video has been all over Facebook today, and it makes me cry each time I watch it. In a separate article, I saw that another of the Elders (I have forgotten which one) blessed those who have been holding space and sending prayers. It sparked a desire in me to go a tiny bit further than simply sending Reiki when I remember, and to keep a candle lit until the situation is resolved, hopefully reminding me to send more often, and to let the candle be a prayer, itself.
