A Prayer for Peace

Time to bring out some Tina Turner again:

A Vedic blessing for the world:

Oṃ. sarveśāṃ svastir bhavatu;

sarveśāṃ śāntir bhavatu;

sarveśāṃ pūrṇaṃ bhavatu;

sarveśāṃ maṅgalaṃ bhavatu

“May everyone enjoy well-being;

may everyone enjoy peace;

may everyone enjoy fullness;

may everyone enjoy auspiciousness.”

    Laura I just love your blogs! Thank you again for all of these which are often a pure joy and other times a relief to find sanity here among you and others. I had never heard the stunning Tina chant before – I feel very grateful, ❤ ❤ ❤

    I feel deeply saddened by what is happening in the US over the killing of that child. I just heard there are riots – and I sincerely hope that it’s not true!! I grieve for this boy and his beloved community. Peace and love always from my heart to our human family as one. <3<3<3

    • Thank you, Maggie. Yes, I discovered Tina’s chants awhile back, and I love the power of her voice combined with the children’s innocence. It’s my go to chant whenever I feel like the world is about to spin totally out of control.

      Unfortunately, this whole Michael Brown situation has been a media stoked, race baiting, smoke and mirrors campaign to trigger rioting and eventual civil war in the US. From the start, the media portrayed this young man as a child, even though he was man enough to rob a convenience store and, according to testimony supported by photographs of injuries, tried to grab the gun from the police officer after punching him in the head twice.

      There are hundreds — thousands — of examples of police violence here in the US. Since this incident, a number of white young men have been shot, pregnant women raped or pushed to the ground, etc., but the media turned this into a race riot. They even aired video of Michael Brown’s stepfather repeatedly screaming “Burn this b!tch down!” before the protestors started the looting and burning. I don’t deny racism exists, but the black community is being played to help strengthen the coming police state.

      I pray something shifts soon, because when the gov’t turns off all the EBT (electronic benefit transfer) cards they’ve gotten millions to rely upon for food, then this test run riot could be everywhere in the US. They’ve already got 83 cities participating in “solidarity.” Solidarity my butt! This thing has been orchestrated from the get go.

      Good people will lose their lives and livelihood because of this, and it’s not even a fight that will do anything positive to address the problem. How does burning down local businesses — some of them black owned — vindicate abuse? When will people recognize that Obama’s policies have done more to harm the black community than most other politicians combined? It’s really sad and is one reason I’ve worked hard to raise awareness about food deserts and the need for greater food security. The usual reason for rioting is when food becomes unavailable. This prelude does not bode well.

      I continue to pray and chant for peace and a general enough awakening that people see through the lies to recognize who’s really initiating acts of warfare on the black community. For the most part, it’s not their neighbors. It’s deliberate and systemic. The ones pulling the strings are deeply racist, but they will use all the blacks and Hispanics it takes to achieve their ends, hoping they all kill each other off in race wars.

      Anyway, I pray, I chant, I intend, and I keep looking for what is mine to do. Much love, Laura

      • Wow Laura, this is such an interesting comment, as I have been having so many dreams and intuitions about coming collective violence, especially here on home turf.

        It almost feels as if the violence is so strong in the collective mind that it is invading deep feelers.

        Interestingly enough, I wrote a song called War’s Wife in 2012, a song about women who support their men in the armed forces out of patriarchal alliance, yet knowing deep down in their souls that they did not understand, agree or accept the wars waged, wars waged for advantages of the Elite only. I felt called to listen to the song today, as it seemed to have a message of coming violence, and then suddenly found myself writing about a coming police state, and immediately offering prayers for EVERYONE.

        Offering so many prayers for the collective, for these reasons exactly…

        Beautiful chant and such a powerful message, THANK YOU!

        • Thank you, Amanda, and yes, many deep feelers have been dreaming of and feeling the coming violence for years. I have had several recurring dreams for years, even decades, which I pray were premonitions to provide opportunity to change course rather than firm predictions. I do know that we can shift energy and thereby shift reality. As we transmute our own Shadow, we aid in the Shadow expressing itself as violence, so I pray enough of us have been doing the inner work to transmute the outer. In the meantime, a blessed, healing birthday to you. Song is tranformative. Continued blessings!
