Ferguson Protestors Guard Stores from Looters

Thanks again to Mitch for providing a counterbalance to all the negative, discouraging news from Ferguson. I’ve not really been following Ferguson much myself — just praying, chanting and creating beauty where I can. I appreciate these glimmers of awakening and change. Click here to see photographs, videos and tweets of Ferguson protestors guarding stores from looters and telling the looters to back off. Burning stores and destroying people’s livelihood does not bring justice. Kudos and blessings to those courageous souls stepping up in this time of crisis. May the awakening and calls to compassion and responsible change continue!

also saw on a television news show while visiting somewhere over the weekend – a woman lost her catering storefront (Natalie’s Cakes & More) to looters or destructive people. She created one crowdfunding campaign (suggested by someone else, a “new friend”) and there’s a second one – when I saw item, they had collected $230K plus to rebuild her business (not that that’s the only way to restore her livelihood, but one way she would understand).

  3. Yes, I saw that, too. Power to real people. Unlike the signs and chants happening at Ferguson rallies there are other solutions than, “The only solution is a Communist Revolution.” Right. Because Communist countries are known for their warm and fuzzy police officers and all the wonderful rights they bring the poor idiots who welcome them in. Don’t these people study history??? Rhetorical question. Obviously not, or they would not be demanding such things.
