James Corbett ~ Divide and Conquer: Politics and the Left/Right Fraud

This report explores both Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party Movements, showing striking similarities, despite major (and quite successful) efforts to spin them off into partisan politics. Viewers might be surprised (as I was) to learn that the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party originally sprang from opposition to George W. Bush and his whitewashing of the 9/11 Commission. Corbett goes on to explore the history of “Divide and Conquer.”

I agree with Ann of Exopermaculture:

This is excellent.

“’The situation would almost be laughable, if it were not so tragic. Either someone is on the same side or they are the enemy. There is no room for nuance, for subtle distinctions, for alliance or cooperation on matters of great import.’

“Or, of course, for digging to the root of what caused the division in the first place.

“’But if you want a bagel, there are 23 flavors.’”

James Corbett ~ The history, purpose and effectiveness of the time-honored divide & conquer tactic of polarization in the military, social, political, economic landscape.

HISTORY tells us such FALSE Equivalency as this is just ridiculous. That lesser of 2 evils is STILL – Less evil! The Democrat Party is far less evil than the Republican.

Historical records PROVE Democrats create More wealth for all.

Someone just commented that people should watch this video at least once per month to remind ourselves of what the problem is. With all the recent and frenzied hoopla, now seems like a great time for a repost.

This rings true on most points…but also shy on a few others….tea Party was here even before 911….They were high jacked and turned into a AstroTurf movement …They have many good valid points… and some disgusting and disingenuous…But Like all movement you have the fringe or just pure haters!

Now occupy was vilified right from the get go… Think of who’s interest they were going to the throats of? Wall st. big Business media empires …ect ect….

I am upset that TPers can complain about government spending and want cost offsets when it comes to helping fellow Americans… But never but never do I hear any of them saying the same words when it comes to war or giving weapons to other country’s?

As for OWS the movement started with collage age kids that had huge collage debt and had no jobs but…..still had to pay that debt ….I can understand there outrage… For how long in this country were we told go to collage get a good education and you will be rewarded…. That is the sad part…..

This world is so black and white and all I see is gray…..

As for ” entitlements ” Everyone knew there was a problem when baby boomers went to retire… That’s were the term kicking the can down the road came from…. everyone in Washington knew this but refused to do anything about it…No one wants to pay more taxes….But if your passion is our ever climbing debt you would understand that’s is the only true fix…

Our debt is money already spent! Period! Now can we slow that down yes….but you can not reduce debt without raising revenues… how, well that’s a argument in itself…..

I believe the only way this whole world survives is that each person gets a chance…we must pull together and work together for a greater good (seva)….

Not red states or blue states… Lets first turn purple and then make the world a better place to live…..We must take the power away from the few and share it with the many…

  6. And it feels like there is nothing we can do about it. Most people are not able to see this. Even after watching this video commenters are not able to put aside red or blue. These comments were written just moments after watching this video. I hope for the Awakening, but fear it will not come. It seems that is the only way to free the people.

    • Well, peacenowflower, we can each only do what we can do. Most people probably won’t get it, but if enough do, then things will change. … Or enough people will participate in our own destruction that it won’t matter anymore. Take your pick. Change is coming. 🙂

This video really makes a person stop and think. It is very true, united we stand, and divided we have been repressed.
