A Fork in the Road

“There is a road from the eye to heart that does not go through the intellect.” ~Gilbert K. Chesterton

“Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.” ~Lin Yutang

“Not all who wander are lost.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien

Where are you wandering? Which path do you choose?

“If you overesteem great men,
people become powerless.
If you overvalue possessions,
people begin to steal.

“The Master leads
by emptying people’s minds
and filling their cores,
by weakening their ambition
and toughening their resolve.
He helps people lose everything
they know, everything they desire,
and creates confusion
in those who think that they know.

“Practice not-doing,
and everything will fall into place.” ~Tao Te Ching

  3. Ah, well, I’m glad they spoke to you, because I still don’t know what today’s blog post “means.” I just know that I was intuitively led to include the photo and those four quotes. xoxo and love

  6. We will all have to let go very soon, this is a nice wee post and I can relate to it as I have already let go of many possessions and am finding that in giving them away is returning good favors in return. Love is all we need. Thank you.

    • Yes, we’ve just spent the past month giving away so many possessions that won’t make the move to Goshen with us. It’s been such a blessing to see these things that no longer fit us bringing so much joy and comfort to others. Warms my heart! Thanks for commenting.
