Love this. a few years ago, somebody did a “conversation exchange” in NYC with strangers (can’t find source video now) which was similarly transformational. And there’s “Improv Everywhere,” which doesn’t have necessarily “random acts” in mind, but “creating scenes of chaos and joy”
