Perspective

I just left this as a comment on http://exopermaculture.com, but it really does deserve a repost. Do what you can with what you have wherever you are. Now. Did you ever notice that NOW is the revamped NWO? I vote for that: New. Open. Wonderful. “If you build it, they will come.”

Am I the only person who looked at ML17 and the ML 370 and said, “Yep, liars. Same old liars, same old script, same old agenda. Time to plant more fruit trees.”?

Seriously, though! If we’re on the global destruction trajectory, then the more we can plant, the better off we (or anyone or anything after us) will be. If we’re on the complete economic collapse trajectory, we’ll have food — for ourselves and maybe even some to share. If we’re on the splitting timelines trajectory, I personally choose to align myself with the healed Earth, which includes restored soil, local food, and more trees. Really, the worse it gets, the more I plant. People keep asking me, “What will you do when you reach manifest destiny in your yard?” I answer, “I’ll move onto to other people’s yards. They’ve already begun to ask if I’ll design and plant their yard. The more food forests a community has, the better.”

I planted 6 fruit trees this weekend and still have three more to go. That’s following all the ones I’ve already planted. While life goes crazy in the world, around here, on this little plot of land, things are spiraling into cooperation. Not control, but beauty, harmony, order and abundance. LOL, I can’t stop planting trees! Methinks the worse the world gets, the more forests we’ll have, and at least that will solve some things. Let the “lost” planes, souls and countries sort themselves. If we don’t save our planet, we won’t have anywhere to live even in the unlikely event that peace arrives.

    I love this post, Laura!

I was talking to my neighbor yesterday, and he mentioned that he was planning to plant groves of fruit trees in his yard (about 5 acres, property that my parents sold off of the farm many years ago and he is the current owner/caretaker). He said he didn’t want to plant them in rows like an orchard but in little groves of different kinds of fruits. He said he loves fruit but he was also thinking that, since he doesn’t like to garden (as in vegetables), he would have apples, peaches, pears etc. with which to barter for veggies. 🙂 No wonder the Fae love him. He’s had fairy rings pop up in his yard before. And that piece of property was where that very old single apple tree was when my parents first bought the farm.

    • How lovely, Nikkoale! I still remember that apple gleaning adventure last fall. It felt so magical and very faery! Next research project is medicinal and edible mushrooms. I’ve used them for years and have been fascinated by mycelium, particularly after Paul Stamets associated them with faery rings and Hansel and Gretel’s “breadcrumbs.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself! You nailed it. We all need to have a response to the situation in the world today which empowers us and gives us hope. Planting fruit trees sounds good to me!
