Druid Tree Workings: Connecting with the Tree on the Outer Planes

As soon as I saw the title of this post, I knew I needed to reblog it; however, an additional synchronicity confirmed that knowing. Just this morning, I was privately lamenting that “no one seems to talk about the telluric currents when they presume to talk about Earth’s energy. Instead, we hear about ‘ley lines’ above the surface, without letting people know that we can connect with the Earth from *any* point — like trees do. Ley lines are ‘thought tracks,’ a long worn and superimposed *control* grid, whereas the telluric currents run deep in the Earth and many move in far more natural ways than leys.” I’ll probably end up writing an article on various currents at some point, but what a sync wink that the first article I read today after thinking that thought talks about how trees commune with the telluric currents! Many thanks for this informative and special post.

The Druid's Garden

Tree climbing = one great way to commune! Tree climbing = one great way to commune!

The trees themselves present much in the way of mystery teachings. This second post in my “Druid Tree Workings” series explores various methods for listening to the voices of the trees and developing methods of communication, like finding the face of the tree. These are various approaches that I have learned to use over time–and most have arisen through my intuition or have been taught as mystery teachings by the trees themselves.  This is my second post, on “outer” messages from trees–that is, messages that re physically present in the world around us (I will follow up this post next week with “inner ” messages).

Basic Courtesy when Working With Trees. I think that one of the greatest flaws inherent in our current society is the lack of respect for the sanctity of life that is non-human in nature. People…

    • Hi Judi, thanks for asking. I’m going to post more on different currents once I get things together for that post, but the telluric currents run within the Earth and for the most part, they remain unmanipulated by humans, unlike the ley line grid. The tellurics flow more like energy currents naturally flow — spirals, curves, meanders — and they can be accessed from anywhere. They are the REAL human connection to the planet. In fact, the base chakra or even the “feet chakras” are not the originally closest chakras to the Earth. There is a telluric chakra, about 6 feet below the feet, which is meant to anchor humans to these deep Earth currents. When connected, we are much less prone to above ground manipulations. It’s also far easier to stay grounded, and we’re able to receive intimate communications from the Earth, as well as telepathically, just like mycellium in healthy soil do. There’s a major connection between soil and soul … humus and human.

My concern with all this talk about “reclaiming the ley lines” is that they’re not even natural to begin with! They are the energetic movements of thoughts, which do move in straight lines, and yes, they are heavily manipulated. Reclaiming them “for the light” only strengthens this control grid, though, whereas by connecting with the telluric currents, people can just go “off grid.” It’s much freer, and also reminds people that wherever we are, we are on this beautiful planet, and we are meant to have a dynamic, living relationship with HER … not with a superimposed, funneled electromagnetic straight lined grid. More later, but the telluric currents are that deep Earth energy, which remains (for the most part) far more natural than anything above ground.

Laura – Thanks so much for posting this. The original article really resonated with me and I appreciate your response to Judi. Looking forward to the article you’re (apparently) writing about this.
