The Ever Present Now

I left this as a comment on a different site, but decided to bump it up here:

What’s really cool is that since all time is now, you can actually alter the “past” — from your immediate experience of “this” moment in “time,” shifting the previous experience [of] even extremely traumatic events into ones with less sharp teeth or Velcro claws. You can do this with highly imaginative focus, but some tools and techniques make it easier to do so:

The NOD Rune, for example, helps to lift one out of the trap of linear cause and effect. The Distant Healing Symbol taught in Reiki Level 2 helps to send energy to distant points in space and/or time. A Reiki Healing Attunement, particularly if done over symbols or photographs you associate with that time or event, can radically shift how that event played out and thereby shift your experienced Now. This works really well on individual experiences, but with sufficient imagination and connection, it can also alter more collective trajectories. I’ve witnessed this many times. Artwork, too, can form a powerful bridge among past, present and future. Getting into the creative mindset and consciously selecting symbols designed to trigger your own SUBconscious into desired effects helps to bridge not only time but also create new realities. You can also dance out trauma, disappointment and perceived stuckness. Dancing reallllly moves energy!

However you feel and whatever you believe about the supposed “Moon Matrix,” you can utilize the Moon in reality modifcation. The waxing phase supports any desired increase. The waning phase supports any desired decrease. The New/Dark Moon is perfect for burying things — either to lay them to rest, or like planting seeds. The Full Moon lends extreme power to intentions. This is not all woo-woo stuff. Think of how the Moon moves the tides and bear in mind that we are largely made of water. All tools can be used for good or ill, for creation or destruction. Use them wisely and responsibly, and they pay big dividends in the ever present Now as it radiates back, forward and in ripples throughout “time.”

Awareness of the eternal Now is important, but so is the corollary step — finding empowering ways to incorporate that awareness for healing and regeneration. 🙂

Zhenna ~ Tips and Techniques for Living a Magical Life

Today’s post comes from guest writer Zhenna, who at my request has compiled a list of some of her favorite techniques for shifting reality from a life of restriction to one of joy, expansion, authenticity, and abundance. I met Zhenna through a comment stream on Zen Gardner’s site and appreciated her words and energy so much that I invited her to write more here. As I’ve gotten to know her through email, I can tell she really does live what she shares in today’s post. Although some of this information might seem simple, it’s incredibly powerful. I’ve used some similar methods for decades, but I love Zhenna’s imaginative and fresh perspective! Her techniques regarding the “Alter-Altar” and “The In-Between” are particularly valuable, imho. I hope you enjoy this post — definitely one to print or bookmark as you continue your own joyful experiments. Thank you, Zhenna!

Tips and Techniques for Living a Magical Life

by Zhenna (aka “The Winged Witch”)

Journey to your essence, meeting your power, setting your mind free of control

I have taken many turns on my life’s journey, exploring many options, some of which I was conditioned to and others out of curiosity.

My most profound experience happened one day when I was washing dog bowls. I had no particular belief system and wasn’t looking for one when suddenly I felt like something had descended on me and around me. I knew everything was as it should be. Colors were more intense and they appeared to be alive. I felt a level of serenity and bliss I had never even imagined could exist. It was like I saw the world for the first time.

Over the years I lost the feeling but never forgot the day. It took many years of wrong turns and dead ends to bring me to the point I pleaded for that feeling to come back. . . and it did.. . .that fast. Who knew that all I had to do was ask. Once I at least started down a better path for me, I received what I call my life-guides. I got them one at a time over many years. The changes they made in me were nothing short of profound. As soon as I had some level of mastery of one, I received another one. I share them with you and hope they have some value for you. I have never shared them before.

The Three Truths:

(1) The power lies within, always keep it near, always be aware of it.

Of course we all know that on some level. It is maintaining the awareness that is the problem. We do not live in a world conducive to “the power lies within”. Rather we live in a world where we are conditioned to believe the power always lies without, be it religion, politics, family pressures, authority figures, the expectations of society, or cultural conditioning. Someone or something is always draining us of it. But without it, we will forever remain hostages.

For me a simple practice helped. I sit in a comfortable chair. I look down at my body and keep looking until I become really aware of myself and only myself. Often we are somewhat disconnected from our own bodies. I existed, not in a theoretical detached from my body way, but a personal loving way. Why love? Because if I don’t love myself, no one will and there will be no ability to grow. My body is OK just the way it is and deserves and appreciates my love. Then I will wait for my power to return to my body until I can actually feel/see it again within me.

I practiced this faithfully every day when I was alone. I reminded myself of it every time before I went out, until I could go out in any situation, including emergencies, and feel in control. I had conditioned myself to “the power lies within” and it was life changing.

I can say ‘no’ with ease and void of guilt. I expect to be treated with the graciousness I treat others with. If people don’t treat me that way, it is just a learning experience and I move on. I will not ever beg someone, surrender myself, or bribe someone to love me. I have found my selfness through this simple exercise. This is my life and it matters to me and it should.

(2) Live in the eternal now, this is all there is, within it is eternity and the gift of creation.

The day you walk past a beautiful crab tree in full bloom and don’t notice it because you are rushing to work or to run some errand, that is the day you know you don’t live in the ‘now’. And again, we live in a society that abhors the now. We are conditioned to always be on our way somewhere, out there, in front of us, wanting something we don’t have yet. We are always heading somewhere we are not. It is easy to be in the now on that trip to the mountains, but on a daily basis, it is not.

So here is my trick. I call it grace in the moment and the funny thing is, time will accommodate you by slowing down. I have found that I get more done in less time when I stay in grace in the moment.

Pick any physical activity relative to your life like washing dishes, folding clothes, dusting. It doesn’t matter although it is best if it is not a noisy activity. As you are washing the dish notice the color, feel it, enjoy it and don’t rush through the process. You know what, you bought that dish. What do you really think of it? How do you feel about it?

Chore by chore, get to know every single thing in your life again. Do you know why? Because part of our not being able to fully live in the now is due to the burdens we heap on ourselves. You are going to notice everything now, all the time. You will know what is and what is not connecting with you. What belongs in your life now and what does not. And, like magic, you are going to want to purge. You will stop buying stuff that doesn’t resonate deeply with you, but you will have more things around you that bring you joy every time you see them or use them.

This just doesn’t work for the things we have in our lives, but also our lifestyle. Once you unburden yourself physically, you will start the emotional process of setting yourself free. Just think how much time you are spending supporting what isn’t working in your life, but has become habit. If your mind is consumed with racing through life, never slowing down, and always pushing yourself, your creativity can’t flow and your soul can’t bloom.

When we come to the end of our lives, it is the now moments we will cherish. The times we were fully aware and fully alive and even time was our friend.

(3) Mind Magic is the key to creating your life. Freedom is living it.

You have found your power and you have unburdened yourself, now it is time for the fun. Look around you. Your life is exactly what you have created on some level through your thoughts and actions. Your life and surrounding are a reflection of what you thought (and thus did) yesterday.

What you are thinking right now holds the gift of creation. I am not saying that we don’t get some unpleasant, even ugly, things thrown at us because we are at best co-creators along with everything else in the universe so I don’t want to turn this into some simple minded erroneous blame statement. We have the power within ourselves, we just need to fine tune it.

This is where meditation can be helpful. It helps you control your mind.

Another trick is to spend an hour a day for a week (or more) and note what thoughts run through your head during that hour. At some point you have to come to grips with the endless repetitive noise that runs through your head along with your emotions and what triggers them. I am pretty sure there is an abundance of negative self thought in there somewhere. Keep putting that low opinion of yourself out there and you can’t help but draw that reality to you. You will be surprised by what you find out about yourself by noting everything you think and feel.

Until you have some mastery over your thoughts, you can’t effectively direct them. This is what spell crafting is. It is learning to use focus and props to assist your desires and needs. But. . . let me add that I have also found a level of emotion free of negativity but rich in intense desire, pristine and/or pleasant surroundings, an area you have conditioned to be the temple to and reflection of your essence, fantasy, and times of high energy (like electrical storms) to be extremely helpful, extremely.

This is something you will have to play with to find your own best combinations, but first you MUST gain control over your thoughts and get to know who you really are, not who you might think you are. You are going to have so much fun with this one and practice makes perfect. Never forget to push the limits because you really can’t know if there are actually any limits. Everything you have been told isn’t necessarily true.

The Wisdom:

Observation is creation. The design is wisdom.

There is a difference between being a watcher and an observer. Observation takes thought as interaction, watching can be totally passive and even mindless. This is why figuring out who you really are, is so important. Only when you know who you really are and where you really want to go, can you start down the path to get there.

You are the writer, director, and actor in your life. Here you must see yourself a bit out and above yourself (to either side) until you can watch you interacting with yourself like you would play a doll. This is what you do every day or someone else does for you every day. You are just taking conscious control of who you want to be.

Now write the script for that day. It probably won’t go exactly as written (but what script does?), but you will have a good start. Most importantly, you will play a really big part in producing your own adventure from now on.

The Alter-Altar:

Build an Altar to yourself. Worship is the act of altering your reality.

This is probably going to catch in your chest with a gasp. After all, since we were very small, we have always been conditioned to “worship” something outside ourselves, something greater than ourselves. It is sacrilegious to worship ourselves or even ridiculous to think about it. But actually it is not because “worship” can also mean, according to Webster, “extravagant respect or admiration for an object of esteem.” You, being the object of esteem here.

Your body, mind, and soul have given you a gift of experiencing life, maybe not a perfect life in a perfect body, but life. And because you are alive, you have experiences, through experiences you can choose to learn, through learning, you transcend. It doesn’t get any better than that.

The second result of your alter-altar is that you see yourself in the whole out in front of you, sitting right there on the altar. It helps to place positive images of yourself on the altar. Those that represent something you most like about yourself or a time when you were in control and feeling your best. Feel free to add any props/tools that bring you mentally back to a “I was at the top of my game” feeling.

When you are really looking at yourself (who you know and see clearly now) and you have written a really great script (sitting right up there on the altar next to you), you can visualize yourself morphing into who you always wanted to be. Pulling the best from your past and adding your desired future to your image.

You just made a plan you can proceed with in the physical. Your Alter-Altar should always remain a central part your home and life. Enjoy it.

The Throne:

I am sovereign in my own kingdom. Live like it. Behave like it. Know it.

If you have worked all the exercises proficiently up until now, you have realize who you really are, you know you have power, you know you have worth, and you know you have magic. Congratulations, you have just escorted yourself to your own throne. Sovereign in your own kingdom. No one will ever take it away from you again.

That throne is the throne of your true essence which you finally realize was your birthright all along. Of course this is not the silly, arrogant, egotistical, snobbish, fools ‘throne’ of the royalty of the mundane elites. No, this one is elegant, serene, powerful, gracious, and wise.

A great line from an old song, Sunshine Superman by Donovan “you can just sit there while thinking on your velvet throne about all the rainbows you can have for your own.”. . . and that is how you make magic from a place of authority.

The In-Between:

Released from the past. Not entangled by the future. The pure point where anything is possible.

As shocking as the Alter-Altar was to our conditioning, this matches it in difficulty to maintain. The best way I can explain it is to imagine you left a life behind fraught with stressful and difficult conditions and relationships. You finally broke free of the chains and you have no way to communicate with anything in your past. Relief. You are on your way to start a new life but haven’t arrived there yet so you have no real idea what the future might hold.

That in-between time is the most free you will ever feel and probably be remembered as the time you most want to live again. Nothing from your past is pulling at you and nothing from your future has entangled you. Just pure possibility. Just you on your terms.

If you have ever experienced it, you know it is as close as you can come to freedom and bliss. If you haven’t, it might be hard to realize how glorious it can be. The trick is to stay there as often as you can and there is no easy way to do that.

Virtually everything in our modern world from cell phones, to mortgages/loans, to careers, to relationships, to religion is designed to entangle us. You almost can’t function in modern society without stepping in a trap.

Here are a few hints for some escape time. Do you really need to be connected all the time to the outside world? Make your residence including your yard a holy temple and sanctuary. Get out of debt and stay out of debt. Live below your means. Make savings a priority. Become self-sufficient. Spend some alone time in nature as often as possible, make time. Keep the demands in relationships reasonable for you. Have a cottage industry so if you lose your source of income, it will not destroy you mentally or financially. All this will give you various levels of freedom from entanglement. You can walk away much easier if you need to and that is a great feeling.

When you feel yourself getting entangled again just visualize yourself flying above the earth and notice all the pointless frantic racing around humans do. It is almost comical.

You have to free yourself to find the In-Between.

Surrender:

Captivity reversed to never happened. Innocence restored. Magic released.

I believe much of our need to “control” situations or people comes from our desire to be free ourselves. The more we have lost control in our lives, the more we want to control the world. I can’t give you a trick here, but you are far from needing one now anyway. Only your essence or subconscious can guide you on this one. Once you have found yourself and your power, most likely you will still need to take a trip back in time to release some bondage that only your subconscious is aware of.

For no particular reason, you will mentally be taken back in your life to relive an experience. It is probably a mundane moment which may not seem terribly memorable or important, but it is. It is where you made one of the wrong turns into captivity by relinquishing your power.

The surprising thing is how the smallest most insignificant mundane incident can have the most colossal negative effect on your life and cause the strongest entrapment. You may have forgotten the moment or experience or if you remember it all, it seemed average. That is why the hook was set to deeply within you. You never even noticed it happening and never realized what was happening.

You will relive the experience mentally and consciously, only this time you see yourself in the scene, in control of the situation and what happens is on your terms. There won’t be anything forced or emotional about this. It will be a detached experience. More like watching a movie.

Something strange happens here, the wrong turn has been righted in your subconscious, the chains broken, and its power over you neutralized. I have wondered if in some mystical way that past no longer exists, at least not as you lived it. You are that free of it.

You can’t get to the In-Between until you can surrender your attachment to your past and you can’t surrender your attachment to your past until you find those wrong turns and write a new script more to your advantage. Your subconscious and essence will help.

This has been my journey so far. I am sure there is more to come. Every time I think it can’t get any better, it does. Blessed Be to all of you on your journey to find your essence, power, magic, and freedom.

Bio: “I have had many adventures in my life and lived many of my dreams. Right now I am involved in creating a sanctuary for mystical people and animals in a green oriented community. Over the years I have watched ridiculous rules imposed on people as cities have become more and more overcrowded. Rules made by government that make no sense and are restrictive and soul crushing. So here in my remote corner of the U.S., animals and people are welcome to come for a vacation or to live full time and enjoy clean air, open spaces, world class birding, astronomy, trail riding, hiking, parties, lectures, events, and we can even help you arrange world eco tours. The vision is a new concept for what a community should be that inspires people and lives in harmony with nature.”   www.caballosresort.com

Connecting Dots and Stirring Pots

Today’s post will look and feel more like a mosaic or pointillist painting. I encourage you to take some time with these links and feel your own way into potentials — both negative and positive — so that you’re clear of what kind of bigger picture you wish to create.

We live in interesting times, for sure — a cauldron filled with so much potential nourishment, growth and even magic, provided we familiarize ourselves with the ingredients and recognize how to use them, as well as which ones we might really want to avoid. Rather than blindly letting someone else do the cooking, we’re all invited to step up to the pot, to check and double-check labels, read recipes, survey ingredients, and then to use all of our available awareness, intention and power to create something just right.

For us.

Right now, we’ve got way too many would be cooks and spell casters in the kitchen. Now is the time for individuals to ask: “Do I trust the media, Artificial Intelligence, the CIA, FBI, Monsanto, Banksters, politicians, top down religions, and/or shadowy NGO’s to make my brew? To create my own healing elixer? To feed me nourishing soul-utions?” If not, then kick those usurpers out of your kitchen and get busy!

Dots/Ingredients for your selection or conscious rejection.

(Be sure to substitute something besides the rejected elements, lest the vacancy in your pot magically sucks in an unwelcome ingredient that spoils the whole batch.)

A Disturbance in the PsychoSphere — Guest Post (Jamie at Sophia’s Children introduces an important article by astrologer Molly Hall.)
Saturn In Scorpio –Summer Intensive in Mind Control Written by Molly Hall, this article looks at the astrology of Mind Control — which, it turns out, offers powerful aspects supporting Jade Helm’s desire to “Master the Human Domain,” including a bunch of psyops and mind controlled TV memes just in time to whip unsuspecting swallowers and followers into orchestrated behavior. We’re talking actual spells here, supported by Saturn in Scorpio, not simply turns of phrase. Molly also offers alternatives — how we can use this Summer’s energies to free ourselves instead of joining what seems like an invocation of a literal Zombie Apocalypse.

“Those Who Routinely Slander the South are Bigots,” posted on Malcolm’s Round Table. I went to school in the South — at UNC-Chapel Hill, and, like this blogger, I’ve found the double standard both disturbing and unwarranted. Having lived in and traveled around the South during college, I felt the racism and racial segregation of Chicago as an unexpectedly hard slap in the face when I moved there for graduate school. Living now in Northern Indiana, I can say that the South is not the most racist area of the country. It’s different, yes, but if you haven’t lived there and many other places for comparison, then please don’t simply swallow stereotypes, especially when artificially manipulated and enflamed in order to trigger another “Civil” War.

We can’t shame or legislate tolerance, and true compassion and respect don’t mean we’re all the same. That’s also why I reposted my book review of Will Allen’s “The Good Food Revolution.” Here’s a black man, married to a white woman, the son of a sharecropper, and a person acutely aware of racism, who neither trashes the South nor accepts bigotry nor a victim mentality. Instead, he has created entire systems and beautiful ripple effects by recognizing the humanity in each individual, regardless of color, creed or origin. We can all learn so much from him.

Wild card ingredients available for reclamation and co-creation:

The Power of Imagination This article contains interesting studies and stories validating how powerful our imaginations really are: “In the 1980 Olympics the Russians used this technique. They split their athletes into four groups: Groups A through D. Group A used 100% traditional physical practice; Group B 75% physical 25% mental; Group C, 50% physical – 50% mental and Group D was 75% mental and 25% physical practice. After the Moscow Olympics and the Lake Placid Olympics these world class athletes scores were tallied and those in Group D had won the most medals.”

Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture, 2nd Edition, by Toby Hemenway. “The first edition of Gaia’s Garden sparked the imagination of America’s home gardeners, introducing permaculture’s central message: Working with Nature, not against her, results in more beautiful, abundant, and forgiving gardens. This extensively revised and expanded second edition broadens the reach and depth of the permaculture approach for urban and suburban growers.”

The Underworld Initiation: A journey towards psychic transformation, by RJ Stewart
My Amazon review: “This book blew me away in its scholarly approach to ancient folk songs and the bardic tradition and what these reveal about true magic and UnderWorld initiation. My brain kept going off like popcorn as RJ Stewart explained (in depth and through tradition) conclusions that I’d drawn through personal experience. I love that he’s not in any way, shape or form a New Age fluff bunny, and he shares my frustration with how watered down, black/white, and disempowering most versions of “spirituality” have become. I was pleasantly surprised to find his insights into Christian tradition both deep and engaging. I loved this book so much that after three chapters I went on his site and ordered another four books to go along with this one and the two others (as yet unread) that I ordered from Amazon. I can’t recall any other author I’ve ever done this with before or since.

“A note for readers who prefer ‘Wicca Lite’ or who think faeries are all like Tinkerbell: you probably won’t like this book. The paragraphs are dense. I’ve studied folklore and the Faery Tradition for decades, and I have an academic background myself. Even given that, I often found myself rereading paragraphs three or more times in order to fully grasp their meaning. This is the kind of book that seeps into your heart before your left brain really comprehends what he says. It’s powerful and potent, but slow reading and probably of minimal interest for the dabbler.”

Feel free to mix and match and bring in your own ingredients. After all, it’s your brew, your stew, your New.

Some Quick Reminders

1. The sham of the two-party political system isn’t conspiracy theory. The Bankers Manifesto of 1892 is an actual document and a brilliantly devious piece of work that still largely determines American (and by military extension, World) policy.

2. You have within you the capability to transcend whatever limitations you currently feel as restrictions. The fact that situations feel too tight and too oppressive is a sign that you have already outgrown them in their current form. New sizes, styles and solutions exist.

3. “Insights from myth, dreams, and intuitions, from glimpses of an invisible reality, and from perennial human wisdom provide us with hints and guesses about the meaning of life and what we are here for. Prayer, observance, discipline, thought and action are the means through which we grow and find meaning.” ~Jean Shinoda Bolen

4. “Man’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.” ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

5. “To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. Not to dare is to lose oneself.” ~Soren Kierkegaard

6. “The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.” ~Henry David Thoreau

7. “I think everyone should be told they’re beautiful until they believe it.” – Unknown

You’re beautiful.
Keep living.
Keep loving.
Take heart.
Have courage.

Sure, the current “reality” is complete BS, but even BS eventually becomes compost, also known as “black gold,” the richest soil enhancer that makes things grow. We are the change, and that change is happening. Transcend fast and prosper! 🙂

Strange Effects of “Time”

On Tuesday, my friend Sherri came over to give me a massage and happened to glance at her watch: “12:12!” On Wednesday, I was walking down the street to pick up some paperwork and happened to glance at my iPhone: “12:12.” The realization that exactly and only 24 hours had passed since Sherri looked at her watch literally stopped me in my tracks. The time lapse between Tuesday at 12:12 and Wednesday at 12:12 seemed like at least five months of living. I know that “all time is now,” and I experience this impression whenever I do past life readings or help clients create positive “future” holograms. But holy, freakin’ wow, I still cannot believe Tuesday happened this week. It seems like ages ago!

I felt that same bizarre passage of time after my cousin, Erin, passed. Checking my blog post, her passing occurred right around October 1, slightly over two weeks ago. Really?? I cried on the first day but remember the very next day feeling like Erin had already left at least several weeks prior. When I mentioned her passing to a friend the following week, I felt surprised at my friend’s shock and immediate hugging of me, as though it had “just happened, rather than six or seven months ago.” At that point, a week of linear time had passed, but I only realized the actual time scape while examining her “strangely poignant” reaction. After all, that happened months ago, right? It’s very sweet of her to be so kind, but after so much time passing, it just feels like life as usual. When David and I got into his car, it took us awhile to calculate that Erin had only passed eight days prior. The amount of life lived in that eight days seemed so far separated from Erin’s departure as to have almost occurred in a different lifetime.

I’ve experienced time slippage for over a decade — deja vu, stretching and compressing of linear time when I needed more time to get ready or felt impatient about something — but September and October 2012 seem even stranger than usual. So many things I’ve sensed to the point of knowing for years, sometimes decades, without any external validation have now begun to reveal their truth in the 3D world. Perhaps all that linear time of recognizing truths beyond the veil has imprinted the current short passage of time with an indelible sense of length.

I almost never feel surprised about anything. Ever. Especially now. I don’t know whether we’ve all been on a time loop ala “Groundhog Day” until we get it right, or if even the consciousness of illusory linear time will no longer sustain itself. In any case, I know I’m not the only one feeling strange pulls of time. I hear from clients and friends that life either feels “very, very fast,” “surreal,” or “in slow motion.” Some people don’t understand how they accomplish so much in one day; others experience entire weeks where they wonder how that much linear time passed without anything at all to show for it.

I know many of us are putting massive amounts of energy into the new — creating a new, healed, beautiful, lovely Earth on a brilliantly free and joyful timeline. That manifestation has not fully revealed itself in this dimension and this density, but the more “time” we spend imagineering that reality the more quickly and certainly it shall assume a tangible form. I share these thoughts only to let others know that time, indeed, has been behaving like warm, salt water taffy.

In an unrelated email yesterday, my friend, Gillian shared: “Today is the first day of the Terence McKenna timewave HUGE peak and drop (http://www.fractal-timewave.com/timewave_calculator.php#content) – October 17 – 25. The last time it was almost this precipitous (the drop, that is) was 911. Soooo, anything goes.”

Yep. Feeling it! Whenever I’ve experienced the weirdest disconnects in linear time, I’ve learned it’s either a Mayan Calendar “day out of time” or a Terrence McKenna timewave aberration. To quote Steve Winwood: “You just roll with it, baby. Come on and just roll with it, baby. … You can do it, roll with it baby.”

On a happy note, all this time quaking and shaking has resulted in one surprise! Back in July, David took me to a bike shop some family friends of his own in Goshen, Indiana. I sat on a three-wheeler and imagined what it might feel like to propel my physical self faster than my pedestrian ways have taken me around since my 1998 brain injury left me unable to drive safely. Except for a few months of driving and involuntarily closing my eyes whenever I got visually overwhelmed (often), and one turn through a private animal preserve in 2005, I have not driven any vehicle since 1999. I no longer even have a drivers license.

Even though I have fully recovered from my brain injury, I just don’t think like a driver. Matter remains, in my mind, highly flexible and transmutable. I actually believe and experience on a fairly regular basis, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” But driving feels irresponsible of me: I can’t count on my knowing how to translate such perception as it affects 2000+ pound vehicles and physical bodies intersecting in time and space. The expansiveness and flexibility of my time-space and space-time awareness allow me to offer layered past life readings, complete with patterns, reactions and a list of future options. Shifting out of that awareness and into the 3D car-driving awareness feels like too big a chasm for me to jump. It’s a completely different reality matrix!

But back to the surprise …

Apparently, since late July, David and his parents have secretly plotted to surprise me with a three wheeler so that I can safely and quickly glide around Goshen with a big basket for co-op purchases or a yoga mat. While I wondered aloud if I should buy this trike in December or wait until the Spring, I kept sensing David and his sister quietly giggling at me. I just chalked it up to my impaired sarcasm detector and figured I was missing some kind of ironic joke. Again. LOL, I really am quite sarcastically challenged, especially when people “joke” about things that could “never” happen. My mind doesn’t get the “never” part, as I see so many possibilities spread across the field of options. Anyway, I thought the suppressed giggles came from an “Aw, she’s so cute, she just doesn’t get it” place. Turns out they did mean that, but it was because the whole clan knew they had already purchased the trike and a super duper helmet for me, just awaiting my arrival in Goshen. 🙂

Fun times, indeed! After 14.5 years of dimension and timeline hopping, I will finally be able to transport my physical body faster than the speed of walk. I haven’t felt this excited about transit since I contemplated driving a Jetson-mobile! I think I like the surprise part best. For all my intuition, I didn’t see this one coming, and what a treat to feel so loved amidst mischievous winks and hugs. We live in a world of all possibilities. Sometimes what lies just around the corner exceeds our wildest, dreamiest, positive imagining, and sometimes, life just wants to give us a little unexpected treat.

Remember this as you twist and turn around the rest of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride!

Are You Sure?

As Life churns around us, even those of us who’ve committed to a peaceful, loving, joyful, Earth-harmonious existence continue to receive little blasts from the Universe: “Are you sure you want to give up all the old ways? There’s still time to bail out of the New World you’ve said you desire. Are you sure you want the new?”

Such “opportunities” may arrive in the form of old relationship issues rearing their ugly heads, nearly resolved patterns reasserting themselves, an avalanche of seemingly serious health issues, and/or dramatic displays of exactly what you’ve determined you do not want. I see this dynamic appear with many clients, most of whom initially panic, thinking they’ve somehow slipped off path. They call me wondering how after all their intending and positive visualization they suddenly find themselves in a surreal display of their own personal definition of hell. They feel tempted to throw all their tools and life enhancements into the disappointing fire of yet more techniques and guidelines that do not work. Faith plummets.

“Where did I go wrong??” they ask. “I felt like things were going so well. I felt so sure of myself. Things were good, but now they feel so off that I wonder if I was crazy all along. Seriously, Laura, where did I go wrong?????”

In most cases, it’s not a question of going wrong — not if you’ve been diligently creating and empowering the new. Rather, this blip of negativity usually means you’re getting very close to manifesting exactly what you most desire. You can transmute the “not wanted” into an extra powerful dose of:

“I want the change. I need the change. I am right to long for this change, and by all the power of the Universe, I now claim this change for myself and for the planet. Without apology. Without explanation. This change is mine, and it’s coming, and I am so hungry for it that I can already smell and taste it. My appetite has peaked, and I know what I want.

“No matter what others around me order as their meal, I know what’s coming on my plate. If something else appears to arrive instead, I will return that plate and demand what I ordered. Because I know how wonderful, empowering and satisfying this change will be. And I know how this change will sustain me in the new, exciting, loving and potent life I’m creating for myself. If something else appears on my plate right now, I will kindly return it to the Universal kitchen, rekindle my powerful, anticipatory vibration, and get ready for one amazing feast after another. I feel so excited and joyful to experience what the Universe and I have cooked up for ourselves. Mmmmmhmmm. Bring it, please, and bring it soon. I am ready, and thank you very much.”

Consider any surges of the not-wanted as an opt-out clause in your ordering process. If you feel certain of what you want, then you can return the unwanted to sender. Don’t engage. Don’t despair. Simply return the unwanted plate and get back to imagining and savoring what you desire. If the “order mix-up” brings to light other garnish or ingredients you’d love to include in your original order, then use this time to tweak that request, and again, prepare yourself to receive. Energies support fulfillment of exactly what you most desire right now. In Divine dispensation in the fullness of time, let the feast begin!

Aho.

What Goes on the Truck?

As David and I prepare for our “right sizing” and relocation from Madison, Wisconsin to eco-friendly, artsy Goshen, Indiana to support David’s aging parents, we’ve begun to ask ourselves in earnest, “What goes on the truck?” Instead of moving in one huge haul, Life has urged us to make three smaller runs to Goshen, which means two of our three upstairs bedrooms already look packed and staged for the first truck run. Sorting and determining what we box up and move forms a significant part of our days right now.

But the question, “What goes on the truck?” also holds symbolic meaning for us, as we recognize this move offers a major reset for both of us. In addition to some bulkier, older pieces of furniture, significant heavier and outdated thoughts, emotions and patterns won’t make the cut. Just as our new home offers a similar amount of living space but in a highly different, more efficient footprint, we’ve begun to view ourselves as streamlining and upgrading. What stories and experiences do we leave behind? Having served their purpose, these no longer useful modes and filters get donated to the Universe for release and transmutation.

One of the biggest principles of feng shui suggests that we declutter so Chi can move freely and bring health, positive energy and abundance to our home. If you touch something and feel a wave of negativity or your breath tightens, toss it out. One person’s junk may become another’s treasure, so consider offering things to others or, in the case of lackluster energy, to the Universe for recycling. If something’s truly broken, throw it out. Holding onto broken things — whether physical or metaphysical — limits the new, fresh, healing energy that would otherwise pervade a home. That home might be your house or apartment, or it might mean your body, mind and spirit.

I know many people are moving, changing jobs or shifting relationships as we navigate the intensifying energy of our times. Even if life looks fairly “normal,” consider asking yourself “What goes on the truck?” 2012 offers a potent opportunity to remake ourselves, our society, our governments, and in fact, our entire perception of reality. We’re headed to the Galactic Center — on the move into parts unknown. Even if day-to-day circumstances remain relatively stable, the external structures of so many veils and control systems have begun to crumble. Humanity itself is moving, by necessity, to a new “home.” In creating heaven on Earth, what attitudes, beliefs, memories and expectations qualify for placement on the cosmic truck?

What goes on the truck will look different for each of us. Because of all my frequent moving over the years, I’ve already culled most physical belongings. Whereas David sorts through paperwork, decorations and extra items, my main dumping includes makeshift thought structures I acquired as temporary stop gap measures to deal with my 1998 brain injury. While these patterns gave me some stability after a neurological earthquake destroyed my rational side, they’re really not my own beliefs or preferred filters. They served their purpose, but my healthy brain hasn’t actually needed them in a long, long time. I’ve spent many recent hours jettisoning unused packets of others’ energies and issues. They simply have no place in the new life David and I have carefully and consciously manifested step-by-step.

As you sort your own vibration and reality, choose wisely what goes on your truck. We live in a vibrational and co-creative Universe. You can have it all, but maybe you’d rather include only parts of it. Don’t forget to open space for the wonderful new!
