Gary Z McGee ~ Sacred Anger and the Power of Hard Love

This is one of the best articles I have ever read. Thanks, Ann! It goes right along with a comment I made on my reblog of Jon Rappoport’s “The composition of human life” post: Yes, it’s interesting, because there IS some value in surrender when you have truly tried everything else. Oftentimes, the relief follows and then ushers in solutions after deep surrender. The trouble with the New Age movement is that it teaches passivity as “surrender,” and that has allowed really good people to passively endorse all manner of atrocities in the name of “being spiritual.”

I would amend this comment to acknowledge that it’s not just the New Age movement that encourages passivity in the face of atrocities — although spiritual bypass may be most rampant in that particular realm of otherwise highly capable people. I ask similar questions of conscientious objector Mennonites in an attempt to discover by exactly what brain circuitry they can support drone striking children and wedding parties in their 100% support for Obama. I have yet to find a satisfactory answer for that from the Mennonites; however, the New Ager’s assure me that Obama is either “an enlightened being from a much higher (not understandable) dimension” or “a poor, hapless victim of the Cabal.”

I say we are each responsible for whatever roles we play. Whether that role happens to be a charade or not, there comes a time when excuses and passivity become endorsement. And no, this observation is not limited to Obama or the Democratic party. It extends to every increasingly flagrant assault that people continue to accept as “the new normal” or “just following orders.” NIMBY doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter. Plus if it’s not in your backyard right now, that doesn’t mean it won’t be soon.

This essay also calls to mind Julian Rose’s urgent question, “You May Wake Up, But Will You Get Out of Bed?“, as well as my earlier post on The Power of Your Emotions.

Sacred Anger and the Power of Hard Love

June 3, 2014

by Gary Z McGee

“Love does not imply pacifism.” – Derrick Jensen

As it stands, all of us are victims of an extremely unhealthy culture. In a culture of conquer-control-consume-repeat we are endlessly conquered, controlled, consumed and forced into repeating and facilitating this diabolical process to no end. We’re like a bunch of spoiled-rotten, whiny children, taking our vexations out on each other and the environment when we should be digging down deep and transforming our comfortable inertia into courageous action. The question is: how do we break the cycle. One answer may be through sacred anger and hard love.

Here’s the thing: life was not meant to be comfortable. Sure, discover comfort where you can, but you’ll never grow if you don’t get uncomfortable every once in a while. Just like our culture will forever stagnate and degenerate if we don’t challenge how comfortable and contained it keeps us, especially when those comforts are systematically destroying the world. Like Anais Nin wrote, “Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.” Let’s choose not to fail. Let’s choose not to give into this kind of death. Let’s choose courage instead.

In our culture, anger is seen as politically incorrect. But deep, focused anger can be a boon of sacred energy if we can learn to use it wisely and courageously. Attentive, meditative anger can even be a form of empathy, as anger is often a natural response to horrific situations. Sometimes anger is not only the natural reaction, but the only moral reaction.

This is the kind of anger that lifts us up and compels us to protect the weak against the overreaching powerful or the poor against the overindulgent rich. The type of righteous anger that flips over tables like Christ did against the greedy bankers, the type of anger that would rather live a hard life of freedom than an easy life of slavery. Such anger is sacred precisely because it instills in us an unstoppable courage.

We should not be expected to remain calm and happy in the face of ecocide, rape, misogyny, slavery, and greed. Rather we should be compelled toward righteous anger. We should be obliged to help victims become warriors, screaming from the rooftops, “Take the Goddamned red pill for Christ’s sake! Become a freedom unto yourself! You are your own hero! Allow yourself to be worthy. Allow yourself to be extraordinary! Get angry! Get really pissed off! Then grab the bull by the horns and pin that bastard to the ground!” Like Gloria Steinem said, “The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.”

But when push comes to shove, we are just too damn comfortable to care, and too damn polite to speak out. We need to get uncomfortable. We need to rediscover sacred ruthlessness, divine anger, and holy rage, leaving nothing to the inertia of chance and everything to the responsibility of choice; otherwise we fail to be responsible with our power. We cannot consume our way to sustainability. We cannot pillage our way to balance with nature. We cannot lie, cheat, steal, or trap our way to freedom. We cannot tyrannize our way to equal rights. Something has to give. And that something is our overindulgent comfort and complacent inertia.

“What is the real origin of my own anger?” wrote Jean-Yves Leloup. “Is it the ego defending its territory, or is it something that has its source in the desire for the well-being of all?” Sacred anger that spills over into empathy and compassion becomes a very powerful force for moral good known as Hard Love. Hard love is ruthless love. It teaches even as it destroys outdated worldviews. It educates even as it shatters obsolete mental paradigms. It tutors even as it crushes parochial perspectives.

It reveals the wisdom within all wounds. It forces a mirror in front of our victim-hood, screaming at us to rise above being a victim of the world and to become the world instead. It slaps us with the truth while revealing exactly how often we’ve been kissed with lies.
It mocks our sense of deservedness: that whiny “I deserve a vacation. I deserve a brand new car. I deserve love. I deserve to be rich. I deserve to be perfect. Wah-wah-wah and woe-is-me!” while exposing us to the absolute fact that we don’t “deserve” anything but what we’ve earned through our own blood, sweat, and tears. And even then we may not get what we want. So it goes.

What we need is a global coup d’état. What we need is to break the trance. What we need is to get uncomfortable. What we need is a Great Rewilding. What we need is to shift the current unsustainable paradigm. And the way we do these things is through sacred anger and hard love. It feels like an impossible task. But no task has ever been more important. On the detritus of the outdated, unsustainable system, we will create something entirely new and sustainable.

We must, or we doom ourselves to failure and “a kind of death.” WWJD? He would flog greedy bankers in public, for one. So I beseech you all: discover your own righteous anger, become a freedom unto yourself, channel hard love, open the paradigm and ascend. The world needs you to not be crippled by fear, inertia, and comfort. It needs you to be filled with courage, compassion, and proactive, interdependent love.

Riptides and the Emotional Guidance Scale

Ever go swimming in the ocean and get caught by the current called a “riptide”? The past week’s energies have been so strong, so tumultuous, that I know many — myself included — have felt pulled out to sea in a swirling tug of imminent destruction. Then, just as mysteriously, the waves can swallow and spit us out on a deserted island paradise, under the sand, or on an unrecognizably tranformed coastline. I’ve felt this more than once in the past week, especially Friday and Saturday, although the waves and slate gray seas have been building for awhile.

In my own life, today marks the 16th anniversary of my brain injury — and the time leading up to that felt similarly intense and Fated. Something powerful loomed — something with the strength to reroute an entire lifetime of focus and determination. I could swim as carefully as I liked, but simply existing in the water at that moment meant certain, radical change. I have since met many other brain injury survivors who acquired their TBI in 1998. I’ve also coached many clients for whom 1998 marked a massive shift in life’s direction, usually through trauma that eventually revealed itself as an indelible scar and blessing. 1987 was another of those years — in my own life, but also in the life of Gaia with the Harmonic Convergence in August. I felt the building tsunami in 2001, with premonitions many months prior to 9/11, as well as a night of dreams and an epiphany exactly at the moment of the first explosion.

2012 was advertised as another huge shift, and, indeed, the awakening tides grew much stronger then. But this period, right now, feels more on par with 1987, 1998 and 2001. Something’s brewing. And it’s big. Several months ago, I had what felt like a prophetic dream, which mentioned the date 6/14/14 over and over again. I don’t normally dream about dates, but in this dream, not only was it 6/14/14, but the characters kept pointing to calendars and remarking on 6/14/14 as a birthday. At the end of the dream, someone handed me a lotus blossom, with the mud still dripping from their hand. I got the impression that the “lotus” was the world, blossoming from a period of “mud.” When I opened my eyes (in waking life), a large, pink rectangle of light hovered over the jewelry tree that houses my necklaces, including all the crystals. I could find no external source for this light. It just hovered there over the crystals and tree for a moment, locking in the dream.

I’m not usually one for floating dates out there. So many come and go, with much fanfare and little shift. Perhaps 6/14/14 will be such a date, which is why I haven’t mentioned it until now, except to two astrologer friends of mine. I had them both check, and they found potential intensity there, but the date would not normally have jumped out at them as significant, if I hadn’t asked. I only mention this now, because the dream’s impression of a period of extreme turmoil leading into the birth of this lotus blossom renewal from the mud feels like it’s happening right now.

While in Chicago last week, my family and I spent some time at the Art Institute of Chicago, where I photographed this Nataraja statue for my friend Ingrid, who has one of her own from India:

Nataraja

The Nataraja shows the god, Shiva, in his role as the cosmic dancer who simultaneously destroys the old, worn out universe and dances the new one into being. I’ve been feeling — perhaps even channeling — Shiva energy this week, as I weed whacked thousands upon thousands of dandelion heads that had gone to seed while I was in Chicago. I began by trying to collect the errant puff balls, but after a 20 gallon garbage can full of bagged puffs, I had made only a small dent. My desire to destroy what looks like squalor in my would be oasis surrounded by factories, a brown field, a caved in garage roof and houses and sidewalks in various states of disrepair, somehow seemed very Shiva and very appropriate.

Here I was, battling thousands upon thousands of high rise dandelion stalks, each filled with thousands upon thousands of seeds, flying around whether I whacked or carefully packaged them in a bag that ripped and released them all over the yard anyway. An exercise in futility, and yet, letting the white puffball stalks just wave in the wind to corrupt my intentionally planted flowers, fruit trees and edible ornamentals seemed impossible. How could I not act while I still had some agency?

As silly as it sounds, the yard broke me this week. Really, it was the contrast of the yard with the beautiful images from the Lurie Garden in Chicago and the Art Institute, my beloved Lake Michigan, the amazing food and urban culture, along with nostalgia for some of my own artwork (and innocence) from 1998, which my brother still has displayed in their Evanston condo. A flood of memories, emotions, contrasts, healed relationships, realizations and all of Life just culminated in coming home to the contrast of joy at seeing David again during a lovely meal at our favorite Korean restaurant, and returning to frost having killed my pumpkin and cucumber plants while squirrels chopped off lily and tulip heads but ignored the thousands upon thousands of unwelcome dandelion seed heads spreading far outside the agreed upon “wild area” of our (back) yard. Our next door neighbors’ yard was far worse, blending right into ours.

It wasn’t really about the yard, but weed whacking it brought some small satisfaction and relief. Not because it will do anything to prevent the spread of those dandelions — thickly planted clover and rapidly spreading “All Heal” will do that better than any weed whacker can. The yellow flowers even turn to seed heads after I chop them off, so it truly was an exercise in futility … and yet … somehow, it just felt like the energy of the times: Shiva, Lord of Destruction, Eliminator of Illusion, dancing through the entropy, welcoming in the new universe.

Why am I sharing all of this? Because I know of others experiencing similar, though perhaps less symbolic, simultaneous deaths and rebirths as various unwanted realizations hit and lodge home. As I mentioned to a friend this morning in a longer apology for my seemingly out of character behavior of weed whacking with abandon and threatening to evict “my” faeries for neglecting our agreements:

I know that weed whacking is not a long term, in alignment solution. It’s just where I was for the past week dealing with a tumult of emotions, disappointments, and reality shots upside the head. The crash is really coming. Goshen will not be immune. I am living, probably for the longest time I have lived anywhere, in an area with virtually no physical beauty support — quite the opposite, in fact, with all the factories, flat topography, and general dilapidation. And this is PRE-crash. There is not a large pagan community with whom to practice ritual and group magic that might shift things. In fact, most of the population is terrified of magic, and most of the really good people in town are welcoming the beast with open arms.

I am certain I will find ways to deal with this — the awareness has just gradually been creeping into consciousness and finally has become undeniable. It’s done. We will each need to take care of ourselves and our own lives. I will witness many of the things that give me nightmares, even if these things do not happen to me. Even though we are not in a large city here, we are starting from such an extreme place of poverty already that we could very well experience some of the worst things of a city during a crash. …

I just need to recalibrate myself with this new reality so that I can embrace it and make the best of it. I have, apparently, been living in complete and utter denial. I turned [other situations] into extreme blessings once I managed to accept that they had happened and really weren’t going away except in their own sweet time whenever the process was complete. Dodging bullets requires very different skills, mindset, tools and emotional balance than gracefully moving through what you foresaw but did not wish to see, and what you tried to avoid with all your might but couldn’t.

And so, for anyone else who has spent the past little while grappling with a massive shift or recognizing certain potentials crystallize into dreaded form, I leave you with this bit from Abraham-Hicks, who correctly explain the value of climbing up the Emotional Guidance Scale. We won’t always live in joy, although we certainly can return there through conscious cultivation and awareness. Trying to leap from despair and hopelessness to joy/appreciation/empowered/freedom/love usually results in frustration and rage. No, those aren’t joy, but they’re higher up the scale than hopelessness and despair. Abraham advises reaching for the “next best feeling” and to keep reaching and reaching until we do return to our natural state of flow … optimism, positive expectation/belief, enthusiasm/eagerness/happiness, passion, joy/appreciation/empowered/freedom/love.

If you haven’t experienced a riptide this week, then you might want to tuck away this post for when you do. We all have those moments, though some of us feel and sense more intensely than others. Visionaries seem particularly hard hit by disappointments when Shiva dances on the ashes of what might have been. By allowing ourselves to move through the feelings, though, instead of stuffing them, we can more quickly and thoroughly experience the true blessings of each experience. Each destruction brings with it thousands upon thousands of creative possibilities. “Ask and It Is Given” … not always in exactly the way we imagined … but if we seek it and love it, then we will surely know it whenever and however “it” arrives.

The Baby and the Bath Water

“A general understanding of the suppressive power potential within tradition does not liberate us, except from the superficial aspects of behavior that form the outer shell of any actual tradition in operation. Great play is made by power greedy theorists and acting political leaders of the concept of ‘freedom.’ Freedom for its own sake is as suppressive a mode of control as rigid rule. At one extreme the rigidity of an arid tradition imprisons, while at the other, the unfocused random energies of spurious freedom allow the individual to dissipate and be consumed by hidden, greater, unperceived patterns.” ~ R.J. Stewart

There’s been a lot of talk in 2013 and 2014 about various boogie men, conspiracies, and deceptions. With Pluto, Lord of the UnderWorld, still in Capricorn, revelations and exposures will likely continue to increase. After millennia of secrecy, lightning has struck the fortress, ejecting old paradigms left and right, just like the dreaded Tower Card:

Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck, Tower Card

Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck, Tower Card

We live in a time of chaos, as the same-old, same-old unveils itself in some instances as evil in our midst. Slavery in our midst. Divide and conquer. Spiritual oppression. “Divine retribution.” “Fate.” Uncontrollable, radical change.

Few people know that the Tower card was poet W.B. Yeats’ very favorite card in the entire deck. Though scary to the unwilling and unprepared, for the focused person, the Tower card represents enormous energy suddenly liberated from old restraints. The conscious person knows how to harness such energy into an integrated Chariot card (Tower card = 16; 1 + 6= 7; 7 = the Chariot). (Thanks to Tim Glenn for that insight.)

Rider-Waite-Smith deck, Chariot card

Rider-Waite-Smith deck, Chariot card

See how the driver of the Chariot commands the mysterious opposites? He’s got that big, bad “Annunaki” symbol on the Rider-Waite-Smith Chariot, but rather than burning the evil card let’s look at what it represents: a man, under a starry canopy, driving a Chariot, with polarized Sphinxes available to pull him where he wants to go — all under the auspices of the VII (magickal 7), acknowledging initiation into the Mysteries. We see on the Chariot card, one who knows what he wants, aligned with cosmic energy, who … through esoteric wisdom … has learned to harness opposite paradigms and chaotic emotions to do his bidding. We see a responsible adept, ready and willing to journey into and exert influence upon this world.

Robin Wood’s deck pictures the Chariot pullers as black and white unicorns, pulling a Chariot with a Tao (yin-yang) sign and the driver playing a lyre and singing instead of holding the reins. He confidently aligns himself under a starry canopy, and the magical unicorns follow the intention he sings.

In either version, we witness the powerful integration of two opposite forces. Rather than throwing the proverbial baby out with the bath water, the Chariot card models magickal manifestation, as the driver calmly and intentionally reclaims and redirects into positive, preferred ends any useful power ejected from the sudden changes of the Tower card.

Without that reclamation, the driver would have a chariot, but no force to pull it. No horse power, no Sphinx power. The driver would embody instead what I hear so often from well-meaning students of watered-down New Age platitudes and half-revealed “Secret’s”:

“I know what I want, but I never get anywhere. I try all those techniques, and I read all the books and listen to all the channels and (now) all the anti-channelers. I tell all those bad “Annunaki’s,” “Archons,” “False Light Arch-Angels,” demons, “negative ET’s,” “fake positive ET’s,” Illuminati, fundamentalist religions, bad gods and goddesses, pretend-good gods and goddesses, MK Ultra programmers, 4th dimensional or 4th density energy parasites, and nano-technology to go away. I’ve done my best to eliminate all emotions, because I know they feed off them … But somehow I just can’t get over this hump. I’m stuck. I’ve been stuck for years. I’m not even sure if I know what I want anymore, because if I really wanted it, wouldn’t I already have it? I mean, I’m onto all the illusions. Nothing’s real. That should free me, right? Why aren’t I free? Why don’t I feel happy?”

Simply put: you’re not free because you threw the baby out with the bath water. In your shock at recognizing how humanity has been manipulated, you tossed away your greatest power, forgetting that if beings derived great strength from slurping up your emotions, then those emotions hold great power. Certainly, you don’t want to feed your controllers, but discarding that source of power falls short of true liberation. Completely rejecting anything that has been used against you in the past does remove that source of power for vampires; however, it also wastes an important source of power for you.

Living without emotions, you lose not only your own power, but a huge piece of your humanity. Do you really think the would be controllers of this world would spend so much energy trying to pathologize every human emotion in the DSM-5 if they didn’t feel threatened by human emotions? Do you really believe the powers that would remain would invest so much time, money and obsession in the transhuman agenda if they didn’t want humans to react more like machines? Here, have an RFID-chip … or this nanoparticle … or Morgellon’s fibers … we’ll radio signal you into compliance like a good little android.

The would be controllers got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. People are onto them, sort of. Their rather effective counter-offensive involves convincing humans that those cookies taste horrible and will leave people with really bad gas:

“Nope! Nothing valuable here. Drop. The. Cookie. Now. For your own protection. There are COOKIE MONSTERS in them ethers! Quick, destroy your cookie, but not by eating it. Ohhhh, no. Just drop that cookie on the floor and let the cockroaches eat that worthless thing. Whatever you do, don’t eat the cookie. A moment on the lips, millions of lifetimes on the karma. You’re smarter than that. Drop. The. Cookie. Dropthecookie. Dropthecookiedropthecookie.”

Meanwhile, back at the Chariot … no cookies/no emotions = no fuel for your horse-unicorn-sphinx pullers. You can hitch your intentions to the “beasts,” but, to quote Bob Dylan: “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere.”

Discarding all emotions and all possible alliances with inter- and extra-dimensional friends makes about as much sense (and maturity) as closing your heart and swearing off all future relationships and friendships because a narcissist broke your heart. It happens. Not every human, angel, ET, faery and/or herb is a good match for every person every time. Some of them are downright self-serving sociopaths. Does that mean everyone is? Does that mean you can never love anyone or anything again? Does that mean you should never trust anyone or anything again?

As Tennyson said, “It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” Shakespeare also chimed in with “Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.” The key is not to stop loving, feeling, and trusting but rather to learn and practice better discernment in how you invest your love, trust and feelings.

The best way to begin practicing better discernment is to Know Thyself.

Start here. Learn what makes you tick. Pay attention to your feelings before discarding them. Discover what those preferences and aversions tell you before you hide them from the Cookie Monsters and thus, yourself.

I’m copying a comment I made to someone’s questions about whether or not we should completely shut ourselves off from angels “just in case”:

“In my experience, there ARE good, kind angels who ARE willing to help. The red flags would be if there’s an icky aftertaste of giving away all your power to them, rather than working as co-creators. There’s a lot, lot, lot of fear porn happening right now. There are also a lot of channeled writings CLAIMING to be from archangels that often aren’t. It’s a pretty big mess. Best to go inside and feel who you align with. There are some gods and goddesses that I personally wouldn’t opt to work with either!

“I posted this particular Doreen Virtue, because I loved her dedication at the end, as well as her encouragement to get out there and DO some of the co-creating, not just sit inside imagining and praying.

“People are really struggling right now and really afraid, because they’ve gotten suckered into giving away their power to disempowering beings. Here’s a clue: if the message robs you of your own agency or intellect, then it’s probably not a good message. If a message encourages you to take responsibility for your own life, get INTO Divine flow and allow yourself to receive natural, loving support, then it’s probably a good message. It’s important to check in with how you’re feeling before, during and after interactions.

“I think much of Cameron Day’s [and others’] material is good, but there’s also such a thing as throwing the baby out with the bath water. We can use sincere assistance at this time, keeping in mind that we do not need to make oaths and sign away our agency in order to have friendly support. If anyone asks/requires you to do that, I’d suggest running in the opposite direction.”

Do you see the difference between black or white reacting vs. considered responding vs. the potential for embracing whatever does empower and aid positive creation?

This baby and the bath water issue pervades much of our lives and has for millennia. It’s one way those wizards behind the curtain have managed to maintain so much control, despite their extreme disadvantage in terms of numbers and humane-ity. The “Holy” Roman Empire used a neutered version of Christianity to conquer vast cultures and land, all the while hoarding and publicly demonizing all the traditional esoteric wisdom from those they conquered. Advertisers use secret symbols to trigger the masses’ unquenchable thirst for mythology and meaning — projecting those longings onto empty products or wind bag politicians. Meanwhile, education and indoctrination assure everyone that any of the real “stuff” is “occult” (which simply means “hidden”), “evil,” “silly” (from the original “Seelie”) or a sign of ignorance (ignore-ance of what’s actually there to perceive). Discerning bodies, minds, hearts and souls would be wise to wonder why something so “worthless” warrants such concerted misdirection and attack.

Secrets only remain secret for so long, before some force or the kind intentions of an initiate who realizes the imbalance tries to level the playing field with leaks. When that happens — whether via Secret Societies (sometimes themselves watered-down, co-opted versions of “Truth”) releasing their “wisdom” or via Snowden and the Guardian revealing the NSA workings — watering down and misdirection become the best ways of managing a complete breaking of the dam. The entire Snowden saga reads like a mythological journey, complete with its own subterranean exploits, chase scenes and Guardian.

Beware and be wise: guardians often speak in riddles. What seems most important may obscure real entrances to Other Worlds.

When it becomes clear that Toto has pulled back a bit of the curtain, the wizards behind that curtain purposely allow themselves to get busted on lesser things, so that the peons feel vindicated enough to stop searching — and outraged enough to distance themselves from anything related to the wizards, especially the wizards’ powerful tools and knowledge. This applies to the NSA revelations just as much as it applies to all the warnings to sever any and all contacts and contracts with spiritual allies.

One should reexamine and sever unfair contracts, but refusing any and all contact is sometimes less than wise. “Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.” Know your own limits and goals, and recognize and respect that other beings have their own limits and goals, too. To the extent that these mesh, you can work together. To the extent not, no, it’s not a match.

The decision to work with or not can be situational, just as different human individuals and groups sometimes align when they have common goals or part ways when their interests diverge. Just as not all human beings are “good” or “evil,” so individuals of any given species — on or off world — can vary. Pigeon holing every individual of a particular group or race as good or evil is a covert form of inter-Galactic and inter-dimensional racism. Sure, you can save yourself from working with that evil “Archon” out to rob your soul, but such blanket bigotry also deprives you of other, potentially valuable and mutually beneficial connections with beings your fear might blindly lump into the “Archon” or Annunaki category. Humans aren’t the only ones evolving in this Universe.

(On a different note, if you don’t want them to be your Masters, then why do you honor them with the title “Archon,” which means “Master”? Call them vampires; call them cosmic weenies … but if you want to reclaim your power, then stop giving it to them in your fear and creative words.)

With betrayal and paranoia running high, the wizards behind the curtain can offer the merest hints of such tools’ and wisdom’s depravity … and then their well-meaning opposition will do the rest of the work, disseminating increased levels of paranoia, fear and a desire for “protective” isolation. Because God/dess forbid the peons discover they have both power and real allies. God/dess forbid the peons delve into their own Shadow side enough to recognize not only their own power but also their responsibility to use that power for the Good.

When caught surfing off someone else’s energy, first rule: deny.

When denial no longer works: neutralize. Convince the peons that all occult powers and potential off-world or interdimensional contacts are inherently evil.

Sure, those wizards won’t get to surf off as much raw emotion, but at least they won’t need to face it turned against them. At least they won’t need to face that emotion and those tools and alliances united in the creation of a more positive Reality. Nope! They just need to go on a little diet until they can manufacture some other outrageous trigger for an unbridled, uncontrolled emotional feast. “Hey, how ’bout a Fear Fest?! Mmmmmmmm, paranoia! Tastes almost as good as pitiful whimpering, simpering depression and psycopathic rage. Variety is so scrummy sometimes.”

More wise words from R.J. Stewart, who, imho, realllly gets it:

“We are not suggesting that so-called demons appear in human form and cause illness and accident, but that the demonic response is generated within the human psyche from a deeper source, and it is at this deepest level that it must be resolved.

“If the magician is unable to relate to Innerworld beings correctly, then their effect upon his or her limited or unbalanced psyche may be demonic — confusing, restricting, wild, uncontrolled, self-destructive, dangerous to innocents, and so forth. This is directly comparable to passing excessive energy through a weak or faulty conducting medium or component.”

The key, therefore, is less about tossing out all the energy, than about refining the vessel (i.e. you) that such energy runs through.

“It takes a deeper perception to realize that the old images are still powerful within us, but from a very specialized and highly disguised origin. The imagery was willfully and immorally poisoned during the formative years of the state-Church in the West, leaving psychological weaponry for later cults and variants of the religion according to their cultural expression. Although our subservience to the perverted imagery is due to ignorance, there can be no doubt that the original twisting and tangling was a series of acts of deliberate will and wisdom. Wisdom is not necessarily compassionate.” ~R.J. Stewart

Just because some psychotic control freaks decided to pervert sexuality, esoteric symbols, emotions and magick does not mean that those things are inherently worthless, powerless or evil. On the contrary, they can each serve as powerful initiators of the Good — when used with discernment, compassion and respect. Complete rejection or compartmentalization seems more attractive to the lazy coward in each of us, because, face it, untangling the miasma of watered-down teachings, manipulated responses and strategic sleights of hand takes work. It takes dedicated study, self-exploration, commitment and effort. Many would rather avoid such things, assuaging their conscience by lumping the entire “Left Hand Path” into a hermetically sealed Hefty bag, self-righteously kicked to the curb for trash collection.

And you are completely “free” to do so.

The only catch? You will never liberate yourself if you refuse to accept the responsibility that freedom and empowerment rightfully entail. Most people fight consciousness and personal power because they don’t want to make difficult decisions. They prefer to outsource moral and existential dilemmas to religion, government, philosophy or a well-meaning “helper” who relieves them of that quintessentially human responsibility by short-circuiting power. Patrick Henry famously said, “Give me liberty or give me death!” Indeed, something worse than death awaits those who reject liberty: insanity and endless boredom.

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” ~Albert Einstein

“Boredom rests upon the nothingness that winds its way through existence; its giddiness, like that which comes from gazing down into an infinite abyss, is infinite.” Soren Kierkegaard

Yes, humanity, it’s time to grow up:

“The moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you.” J.K. Rowling

Your Body, Money and Ascension

All sorts of theories exist regarding the physical world and what kind of transition we’re really going through right now. 4D. 4 and a half D. 5D. Reality splitting in half. Reality layered like an onion. Revelations. (Yep, we’ve been getting some of those, and more due soon.) Debt slavery. “The Love of Money is the root of all evil.” “The only thing certain is Death and Taxes.” Law of Attraction. Law of Allowing. Citizens United. Occupy Wall Street. It’s enough to make your head spin, huh?

I don’t claim to know all those answers. I don’t think anyone can, because we are still co-creating the answers as we go along. That’s called Life, and why not make the best of it? Why not spend some time exploring and deciding what feels best to you? Because we won’t all choose the same thing. Even among Lightworkers, ideas of Paradise on Earth vary widely. We can share our hopes and dreams with others, share our theories, but we can’t make anyone else accept those as their Truth. We can simply observe what works the best for us, what produces our own results, what feels best when we imagine it, and what helps us to feel integrated in ourselves and with our planet.

We live in times of immense, diverse and intense change. “Death and Taxes?” Um, yeah, they probably won’t seem so certain after all, as people continue to enhance their abilities to see beyond the veil, and the Fed continues to be exposed for what it really is. 😉 If you can catch a glimmer of inspiration for your best version of a New World, then I encourage you to latch onto it, flow with it … embrace and celebrate it as you observe what you encounter along the way.

If you’ve struggled with Money and body image, please know that you have infinite choices in those areas, too. For Lightworkers hoping to move beyond duality, turning the physical world into a black or white issue increases rather than diminishes that duality. “Whatever we resist, persists,” so if you particularly hope to move beyond Money and all the things associated with having a body, then resisting those things only intensifies the energy surrounding them. That energy feeds more dissatisfaction. I would suggest, especially for people interested in a radically different physical realm experience (or even no physicality at all) to make peace with your body, body image and the idea of Money. Until you do, the emotions surrounding those hot spots will continue to shoot out cords that anchor you to the status quo.

Change will happen, but it will happen more slowly in the presence of anger, frustration and judgment. On the flip side, positive change can happen super fast with an attitude of gratitude. If you plan to leave 3Dality behind, then consider: this might be your last run through these here parts in this here “vehicle.” What do you love about your time on Earth? What do you love about the 3D experience? What makes it unique? How have your challenges freed you of illusions? How might you move beyond one of the biggest illusions — limitation? Hint: limitation is closely related to judgment: “For the measure you give will be the measure you get.” Something limitless cannot be measured. The only way to measure Self or potential comes from an acceptance of limitations. If you want to move into 5D — or wherever — then you will find the journey faster and easier if you allow yourself some “ease and please.”

Finding ways to love it all, even — especially — those super sticky barnacle parts, allows for a cleaner, less painful extraction from Ye Olde 3D World.

You can show peace and love in many ways, but your method matters less than how you actually feel. You body loves you and it won’t lie to you, so listen to it. Honor it with high quality food, nurturing sounds and colors, plenty of rest, and the chance to connect with the Earth. You don’t need to make this transition alone; Earth’s moving right along with you. You can journey together, and you don’t need to starve or struggle just because you intend to Ascend. Like attracts like. If you want to live in a freer, more joyful, abundant world, then start living it now. Maybe you can’t change everything overnight, but you can start shifting your own vibration immediately. In a 5D world, vibration matters more, not less. Manifestation happens more instantly in higher dimensions, and it happens on the basis of dominant vibration. If you’d love to manifest a better world, then start believing in that better world by proving to yourself — moment by moment — that you can find and generate elements of that better world.

For some people, a first step may include resonating with more free flowing finances, not because you support patriarchy and corruption — but because you need to shift your attitude in order to leave those things behind. You can look at your own life to see how well you’ve manifested your desires. If you feel happy in all areas, then congratulations! Perhaps you’ve already Ascended! If you feel satisfied in most areas, but certain parts of physicality prick you like pokey thorns, then 3Dality has delivered a message to you: something remains imbalanced in those areas. Somewhere in the continuum of Spirit, emotions, and/or thoughts, a glitch has occurred. It’s just information, not something to attack or judge. Information becomes opportunity in the presence of non-resistance.

I offer no right or wrong answer for the world you’d most love to manifest. On the contrary, I love that we live in a world large enough to accommodate our differences. I just wanted to share some thoughts for your consideration, as well as a call to look honestly at your results. If you like the results, keep going! If you don’t like how your results make you feel, then it may be time to reevaluate some methods, attitudes and preferences. Don’t be afraid to move step by step towards your larger hopes and dreams! What seems counterintuitive in the short term sometimes provides exactly what you seek long term. Again, trust your body. Trust those emotions.

And have some fun with it! We live on a playground. You can run around free, climb poles, swing on swings … or you can play freeze tag and sit around frozen until someone (hopefully, maybe, gosh, when’s it gonna happen?) unfreezes you or starts another game. Personally, I prefer to play! 😉 How ’bout you?

As Ghandi said, “We must become the change we wish to see in the world.”
