Incremental and Lasting Change: Create New Systems and Safety Nets Before Summoning Destruction

Today’s post is actually a comment I left when Ines, the writer of the blog post “Starving the War Machine ~ Let’s Try This Again,” privately emailed me to challenge me to advise people to crash the financial system en masse. Her post throws down the gauntlet to “Hundreds and thousands of people in the Alternative Media and the great researchers, truthseekers, wanna be gurus and Cult leaders that come from all walks of life [and] pride themselves for the knowledge/information/intel they acquired” who continue to operate in the financial system. Apparently, one of my readers, Anthony, suggested in the comments section that Ines contact me, which she did. You can read her post by clicking through the above link. Here are my own thoughts on her ideas:

Thank you for emailing me Ines, and Anthony, thanks for the suggestion. While I personally spent many, many years starving the war machine and then later trying to get our community set up so that it could survive the kind of financial chaos Ines is championing, I have found that a) most people are not interested in self-sufficiency or even resilience; b) this sort of widespread chaos is exactly what the PTB are hoping for; and c) it takes money to get things in place as a safety net.

This is not an excuse. I have poured thousands of dollars into rehabbing land and creating a food forest, which I’m turning over to 5 other people when we move. I also use these gardens to make bumper crop food donations to local food banks, feed neighbors, friends and impoverished people I encounter. I address the issues in the most practical ways I find, which includes doing my best to get local communities to do what you, Ines, and I and others are personally doing: taking responsibility for ourselves, growing our own foods, using plants to heal, focusing on energetic as well as community resilience.

In America, we are nowhere near the level of resilience where I could in good conscience recommend people try to crash the financial system in a week. Right now there are not enough safety nets in place. We are moving to a city that has many more of these nets in place — several public food forests, many, many community gardens, an ethic of “Community Capitalism,” where those who do have money voluntarily funnel it back into local projects that support people and the earth. I forget where you live Continue reading

Deconstructing Bully Culture: Shaming Class and Poverty, and Those Who Stand

Going along with the recent themes of money, abundance, sharing, and courageously, unapologetically creating and living into a new paradigm, Jamie sheds light in even more of the complex nooks and crannies, including the ways we — as individuals and as a culture — often internalize and even perpetuate the shaming and attacks on what Jamie calls “those who stand.” In a world that tells us only to value certain things in certain ways — and to treat humans (and the material realm, including our planet) like trash, the greatest potential for liberation and change comes from recognizing the manipulative, disempowering messages for what they are and then, consciously, choosing to break free and chart new territory.

How DO we choose to treat others and our Earth? In which ways do our gifts find acceptance and thus enable us to serve in bigger ways? How can each of us hone courage, clarity and compassion so that what needs offering finds receptors in a broken world?

Thank you, Jamie, for continuing and expanding this important discussion as the old structures continue to fail and crumble. Opportunities await for those who can find their way through the rubble — or find ways to build cairns from shattered foundation stones. Love and blessings!

Brigid's Fire at Kildare Abbey Brigid’s Fire at Kildare Abbey

“But human beings are not trash. We are the civilizing force on the planet.” ~ Chris Offutt, “Trash Food”

I came across a couple of articles this morning that stirred the fire-pot … you know, that liquid lava center that lets you know when something has hit nigh on “what breaks your heart, what makes you angry” — two questions that help you get right at your innate motivation.

The fire-stirring articles are aboutclass, wealth (or the lack of it), poverty (in financial terms, cuz there are a whole lot of ways a person or culture can be impoverished), and internalized shame and thus internalized oppression … and likely a lot of other potentially debilitating conceptions that get laid on thick in a Bully Culture.

The whole issue also points to a certain wealth of spirit, and considerable creativity, among other things…

Tipping the Value Scales Within Our Current Monetary Framework ~ This Shift Has Hit the Fan

Tania’s right. This is so on the radar right now, not just because of tax season, but because things really are shifting. How we make money and what we choose to spend it upon have begun to shift in key segments of society. The dreamers, the intuitives, the artists, the gardeners are beginning to tip the scales away from the old rat race. No longer can people tell themselves “No one can do this,” because people are — many of us. No longer can people say, “The game is completely fixed. I can’t make a difference,” because people ARE making a difference — in beauty, in authenticity, and in each others lives.

In what seems like a former life, I personally had a long, tangled, tar baby dance with the IRS. Gradually over the years, that has shifted into balance so that every tax payment gets a Reiki Healing Attunement to bless anyone connected to those checks, as well as directing the money only towards payments that support life. I often hear of someone doing good things for the Earth receiving a federal grant in an amount comparable to my payment, shortly after I’ve paid in. To me, this comes as a wink from the universe, acknowledging that my intentions have been honored.

When I look at how money flows to and through me, I feel good about where it goes. For years, I have poured money, time and love into this little plot of Earth, which we don’t own and don’t know how long we’ll stay. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. This land needs healing. I can provide it. This town needs beauty. I can provide that. As money flows in, beauty, food, inspiration and healing pour out. And so it happens more and more … good people do good things with money. That is how we change our paradigm, by dreaming, yes, but also by taking inspired actions, by shifting the energy of money back into a positive force for life.

Tania Marie

An interesting little shift click took place this week that was beyond an individual experience, but truly spoke to something collective that is and has been happening.

It touches on a topic I expound upon a lot in my workshops, as it comes up often as a challenging one for most people and it’s that of money, creating your passion as your life’s work, energy exchanges, and helping to create a new paradigm that supports all the visions and ideals you have, have been working towards manifesting, and have invested your time learning about intellectually for the path of work that you are choosing.

So, this week I had to take a little time out of my work flow to focus on getting my taxes done. Yes, that usually dreaded thing that comes up for us all, and yet while I don’t believe in taxes, and don’t buy into the…

Jon Rappoport ~ Follow the money: the Maui-Monsanto war

Follow the money: the Maui-Monsanto war

This is a stunner.

On Election Day, Maui passed a local initiative blocking Monsanto and Dow from developing new GMOs in Maui County.

According to Ballotpedia, the winning war chest in the election was, overwhelmingly, composed of contributions from five individuals.

Total? $55,000.

The losing war chest consisted of contributions from three groups: Monsanto, Dow AgroSciences, and the Council for Biotechnology Information.

Total? $7,876,000.

I can think of a hundred things to say, but I’ll let most of them ride.

You decide what the lessons are.

Yes, Monsanto is now suing Maui to reverse the results of the ballot measure, claiming state and federal law trumps a county vote.

But check your cynicism at the door long enough to appreciate what it took for the citizens of Maui and the local Shaka Movement to shock the world.

Authentic hope and change? THIS is what it looks like.

Embracing the Energy Potential of Money

In a world of gangster-banksters, illegal income tax, Citizens United, (renewed) Monsanto Protection Act(s), secret, abhorrent trade agreements like TPP, mandated “health”care gifts to BigPharma and the insurance companies, along with unlabeled toxic “food” additives and chemical/biological weapons like GMO’s and aspartame, many people want to opt as far out of the financial system as possible. Certainly, boycotts send a strong message and pinch governments and mega-corporations in the pocketbook, perhaps the closest thing to a functioning heart we might hope to find there. By all means, learn which companies are and are not using GMO’s. Vote with whatever currency you use, and please vote often.

Avoid companies like Monsanto, DuPont, and Bayer — companies whose policies routinely give a big F.U. to humans, the environment, and especially to bees.

Monsanto

Get to know your local, organic farmers, and support them through CSA’s and Farmer’s Markets. Grow your own food, and save your own seeds and/or buy through small, heirloom seed savers committed to crop diversity and cultural heritage. Barter when you can, and when it offers a fair exchange to both parties. Simplify, and spend money on products or services designed to empower you to become more self-sufficient, with more useful skills and products to offer the world.

If you own stocks, clean up your profile to exclude the military-industrial complex and companies whose ethics and mission lie in direct conflict with the world you’d love to create and strengthen. People call this the “triple bottom line.” “The triple bottom line (TBL) thus consists of three Ps: profit, people and planet. It aims to measure the financial, social and environmental performance of the corporation over a period of time. Only a company that produces a TBL is taking account of the full cost involved in doing business.”

Today’s message deals with a less common way of embracing the energy potential of money, because yes, money is energy. Just like our bodies convert the food we eat into usable calories, commerce converts the intangible money we spend into a usable something we need or want. That alchemical process of change offers a potent (and often missed) opportunity for charging the money energy with extra instructions. In the same way that blessing food has been shown to increase its nutrients and life force energy, blessing money — especially money that’s going to seemingly unavoidable payments like taxes or other mandated things — allows us to infuse that money with a goal or intent.

For example, for many self-employed people in the US, September 16 marks an Estimated Tax Due Date. Those who do not wish to fund the psychopathic, fascist war machine have several options:

1) Don’t pay your taxes.

2) Drop your income so low and live so off-grid that you don’t owe taxes.

3) Grumble and pay them anyway.

4) Charge the check with a strong intent, such as: “End the Fed,” “Peace,” “This money goes only to fund organic farmers through the Farm Bill,” “This money and its intention run throughout the fiat money system to prepare the way for something better,” “Anyone who touches this check will be blessed with a new job that serves humanity or will be blessed with courage and conscience to become a whistleblower about government corruption.”

Option 1 is powerful, but the IRS has a way of cracking down on tax protestors. It might work for awhile, and most taxes can be discharged through bankruptcy three calendar years after they were due and filed. The road in between refusing to pay and bankruptcy can be a tricky one, though. Refusing to file or lying on returns brings its own challenges with the IRS now working in cooperation with various companies to track online purchases and Facebook evidence of lifestyles out of sync with tax documents (or lack thereof). In cases of people with families or others affected by their tax decisions, option 1 might offer more of a theoretical solution than a practical one.

Option 2 works for many people, but it’s definitely a lifestyle choice. It also takes time, money and dedication to opt out so completely that you owe little or nothing to the government.

Option 3 is the default choice for most people.

Option 4 offers a viable compromise for anyone who really wishes they could implement options 1 and 2, but finds themselves (for whatever reason) needing to cough up some bucks to Uncle Tom, er, I mean Sam.

So how do you engage option 4?

It can be as simple as affirming to yourself or out loud where you want your money to go, or how you want it to be used. State it positively, rather than affirming what you don’t want. In other words, if you don’t want your tax dollars to fund a war in Syria, then say, “This money promotes peace.” If you’re Wiccan, then the Wiccan Rede “An it harm none” can work here, too, since this concept forms a potent part of a larger philosophy and worldview.

You can also get more elaborate, by using number symbolism to convey a message. Doreen Virtue’s Number Sequences from the Angels can provide ideas. To do this, you would look for the closest match of intention within the range of money that you supposedly “owe.” Doreen’s book Angel Numbers 101 offers even more detailed information, not just with repeating numbers, but for things like 457, 526, and 916. You can get very specific with your selection, layering your intentions for peace, freedom, spiritual healing, or whatever you feel called to offer. (Interesting 911 word count right then! “911: It’s very important that you keep a positive mind-set concerning your spiritually based career ideas. Positive thoughts are your most important asset right now.”)

You don’t need to be a “witch” or “Prayer Warrior” in order to charge your money with intention. Again, money is energy. It’s a natural carrier for hopes, wishes and desires. It finds access and connection to people, organizations and entities that you might otherwise not be able to influence in direct ways. If you’re Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Pagan or Agnostic, it matters not: find a quote or verse that resonates with your direction for this money, and read it aloud while holding your check. If you feel called to do so, put a peace sign on your check or envelope. If you pay online, you can simply beam that intention to the transaction by facing the palms of your hands towards your computer as the transaction goes through. A word of caution: do not send destructive energy to something like the Fed or Monsatan through your computer unless you want to risk malfunctions! Energy is energy, and if your computer’s an intermediary, you might experience some difficulties. Wishing for the positive version rather than denying what you don’t want, usually brings about cleaner and less complicated “charging” of funds.

Option 4 can work for any payment you feel you must make to a government, organization, person or entity that you would rather de-fund than finance. These sorts of Trojan Horse payments can help keep your energy feeling strong rather than victimized and powerless. Combined with strategic spending and avoidance, option 4 bring yet another means of much-needed change to a crumbling system. Eventually all vampires and parasites go too far, destroying the very hosts they depend upon for survival. If you can’t remove yourself from their fangs and rapacious appetites, then you can find ways to taint what they consume. Finding ways to fight the good fight in areas where you’ve previously felt helpless allows you to maintain more of your own energy and positive flow. The more ways you feel in alignment with your preferred life, the stronger and more powerfully you begin to manifest that life.

“Success, happiness, peace of mind and fulfillment – the most priceless of human treasures – are available to all among us, without exception, who make things happen – who make ‘good’ things happen – in the world around them.” ~John Klock

Your Body, Money and Ascension

All sorts of theories exist regarding the physical world and what kind of transition we’re really going through right now. 4D. 4 and a half D. 5D. Reality splitting in half. Reality layered like an onion. Revelations. (Yep, we’ve been getting some of those, and more due soon.) Debt slavery. “The Love of Money is the root of all evil.” “The only thing certain is Death and Taxes.” Law of Attraction. Law of Allowing. Citizens United. Occupy Wall Street. It’s enough to make your head spin, huh?

I don’t claim to know all those answers. I don’t think anyone can, because we are still co-creating the answers as we go along. That’s called Life, and why not make the best of it? Why not spend some time exploring and deciding what feels best to you? Because we won’t all choose the same thing. Even among Lightworkers, ideas of Paradise on Earth vary widely. We can share our hopes and dreams with others, share our theories, but we can’t make anyone else accept those as their Truth. We can simply observe what works the best for us, what produces our own results, what feels best when we imagine it, and what helps us to feel integrated in ourselves and with our planet.

We live in times of immense, diverse and intense change. “Death and Taxes?” Um, yeah, they probably won’t seem so certain after all, as people continue to enhance their abilities to see beyond the veil, and the Fed continues to be exposed for what it really is. 😉 If you can catch a glimmer of inspiration for your best version of a New World, then I encourage you to latch onto it, flow with it … embrace and celebrate it as you observe what you encounter along the way.

If you’ve struggled with Money and body image, please know that you have infinite choices in those areas, too. For Lightworkers hoping to move beyond duality, turning the physical world into a black or white issue increases rather than diminishes that duality. “Whatever we resist, persists,” so if you particularly hope to move beyond Money and all the things associated with having a body, then resisting those things only intensifies the energy surrounding them. That energy feeds more dissatisfaction. I would suggest, especially for people interested in a radically different physical realm experience (or even no physicality at all) to make peace with your body, body image and the idea of Money. Until you do, the emotions surrounding those hot spots will continue to shoot out cords that anchor you to the status quo.

Change will happen, but it will happen more slowly in the presence of anger, frustration and judgment. On the flip side, positive change can happen super fast with an attitude of gratitude. If you plan to leave 3Dality behind, then consider: this might be your last run through these here parts in this here “vehicle.” What do you love about your time on Earth? What do you love about the 3D experience? What makes it unique? How have your challenges freed you of illusions? How might you move beyond one of the biggest illusions — limitation? Hint: limitation is closely related to judgment: “For the measure you give will be the measure you get.” Something limitless cannot be measured. The only way to measure Self or potential comes from an acceptance of limitations. If you want to move into 5D — or wherever — then you will find the journey faster and easier if you allow yourself some “ease and please.”

Finding ways to love it all, even — especially — those super sticky barnacle parts, allows for a cleaner, less painful extraction from Ye Olde 3D World.

You can show peace and love in many ways, but your method matters less than how you actually feel. You body loves you and it won’t lie to you, so listen to it. Honor it with high quality food, nurturing sounds and colors, plenty of rest, and the chance to connect with the Earth. You don’t need to make this transition alone; Earth’s moving right along with you. You can journey together, and you don’t need to starve or struggle just because you intend to Ascend. Like attracts like. If you want to live in a freer, more joyful, abundant world, then start living it now. Maybe you can’t change everything overnight, but you can start shifting your own vibration immediately. In a 5D world, vibration matters more, not less. Manifestation happens more instantly in higher dimensions, and it happens on the basis of dominant vibration. If you’d love to manifest a better world, then start believing in that better world by proving to yourself — moment by moment — that you can find and generate elements of that better world.

For some people, a first step may include resonating with more free flowing finances, not because you support patriarchy and corruption — but because you need to shift your attitude in order to leave those things behind. You can look at your own life to see how well you’ve manifested your desires. If you feel happy in all areas, then congratulations! Perhaps you’ve already Ascended! If you feel satisfied in most areas, but certain parts of physicality prick you like pokey thorns, then 3Dality has delivered a message to you: something remains imbalanced in those areas. Somewhere in the continuum of Spirit, emotions, and/or thoughts, a glitch has occurred. It’s just information, not something to attack or judge. Information becomes opportunity in the presence of non-resistance.

I offer no right or wrong answer for the world you’d most love to manifest. On the contrary, I love that we live in a world large enough to accommodate our differences. I just wanted to share some thoughts for your consideration, as well as a call to look honestly at your results. If you like the results, keep going! If you don’t like how your results make you feel, then it may be time to reevaluate some methods, attitudes and preferences. Don’t be afraid to move step by step towards your larger hopes and dreams! What seems counterintuitive in the short term sometimes provides exactly what you seek long term. Again, trust your body. Trust those emotions.

And have some fun with it! We live on a playground. You can run around free, climb poles, swing on swings … or you can play freeze tag and sit around frozen until someone (hopefully, maybe, gosh, when’s it gonna happen?) unfreezes you or starts another game. Personally, I prefer to play! 😉 How ’bout you?

As Ghandi said, “We must become the change we wish to see in the world.”
