Moving Beyond Discouragement

I had an email catch up with a friend today, and we both thought parts of our exchange would help anyone else facing discouragement. I’ve corrected typos, added paragraphs for easier reading, and removed obviously identifying information like names, location and personal details. Otherwise, the question and my response appear intact below.

This week I’ve heard from enough clients, friends and relatives that I know more than just my friend are dancing a mazurka with discouragement. Whether your challenge stems from money, work, family, health, life path, and/or romance, please know, you’re not alone. You don’t need to know your entire trajectory right this moment. You just need to get unstuck by finding and taking the next step. And then the next one. As J.R.R. Tolkien said, “Little by little, one travels far.”

My friend:

… As an aside, do you ever get discouraged? The reason I ask is because you always seem so confident in your dealings and writings about Faeries, the world beyond the Veil, and all things spiritual/mystical, and that is a tremendous inspiration to me, but Continue reading

The Positive Power of Money

May 9, 2014, at 3 p.m., but Operation Monsanto Stock Plunge already began working yesterday just following the original announcement! Details here. “Do you want to be the last person owning Monsanto stock?” Stick it to ’em.

Boycott their foods. Boycott their products. Boycott their seeds. And if you own mutual funds, pull your money from biotech stocks. If the Supreme Court wants to affirm that only money matters in politics and policy, then fine, we can play the money game, too.

Where can you safely spend your money? Try organic farmers’ markets, small heritage seed companies committed to seed purity, and click here for a list of 400 companies who don’t use GMO’s.

Embracing the Energy Potential of Money

In a world of gangster-banksters, illegal income tax, Citizens United, (renewed) Monsanto Protection Act(s), secret, abhorrent trade agreements like TPP, mandated “health”care gifts to BigPharma and the insurance companies, along with unlabeled toxic “food” additives and chemical/biological weapons like GMO’s and aspartame, many people want to opt as far out of the financial system as possible. Certainly, boycotts send a strong message and pinch governments and mega-corporations in the pocketbook, perhaps the closest thing to a functioning heart we might hope to find there. By all means, learn which companies are and are not using GMO’s. Vote with whatever currency you use, and please vote often.

Avoid companies like Monsanto, DuPont, and Bayer — companies whose policies routinely give a big F.U. to humans, the environment, and especially to bees.

Get to know your local, organic farmers, and support them through CSA’s and Farmer’s Markets. Grow your own food, and save your own seeds and/or buy through small, heirloom seed savers committed to crop diversity and cultural heritage. Barter when you can, and when it offers a fair exchange to both parties. Simplify, and spend money on products or services designed to empower you to become more self-sufficient, with more useful skills and products to offer the world.

If you own stocks, clean up your profile to exclude the military-industrial complex and companies whose ethics and mission lie in direct conflict with the world you’d love to create and strengthen. People call this the “triple bottom line.” “The triple bottom line (TBL) thus consists of three Ps: profit, people and planet. It aims to measure the financial, social and environmental performance of the corporation over a period of time. Only a company that produces a TBL is taking account of the full cost involved in doing business.”

Today’s message deals with a less common way of embracing the energy potential of money, because yes, money is energy. Just like our bodies convert the food we eat into usable calories, commerce converts the intangible money we spend into a usable something we need or want. That alchemical process of change offers a potent (and often missed) opportunity for charging the money energy with extra instructions. In the same way that blessing food has been shown to increase its nutrients and life force energy, blessing money — especially money that’s going to seemingly unavoidable payments like taxes or other mandated things — allows us to infuse that money with a goal or intent.

For example, for many self-employed people in the US, September 16 marks an Estimated Tax Due Date. Those who do not wish to fund the psychopathic, fascist war machine have several options:

1) Don’t pay your taxes.

2) Drop your income so low and live so off-grid that you don’t owe taxes.

3) Grumble and pay them anyway.

4) Charge the check with a strong intent, such as: “End the Fed,” “Peace,” “This money goes only to fund organic farmers through the Farm Bill,” “This money and its intention run throughout the fiat money system to prepare the way for something better,” “Anyone who touches this check will be blessed with a new job that serves humanity or will be blessed with courage and conscience to become a whistleblower about government corruption.”

Option 1 is powerful, but the IRS has a way of cracking down on tax protestors. It might work for awhile, and most taxes can be discharged through bankruptcy three calendar years after they were due and filed. The road in between refusing to pay and bankruptcy can be a tricky one, though. Refusing to file or lying on returns brings its own challenges with the IRS now working in cooperation with various companies to track online purchases and Facebook evidence of lifestyles out of sync with tax documents (or lack thereof). In cases of people with families or others affected by their tax decisions, option 1 might offer more of a theoretical solution than a practical one.

Option 2 works for many people, but it’s definitely a lifestyle choice. It also takes time, money and dedication to opt out so completely that you owe little or nothing to the government.

Option 3 is the default choice for most people.

Option 4 offers a viable compromise for anyone who really wishes they could implement options 1 and 2, but finds themselves (for whatever reason) needing to cough up some bucks to Uncle Tom, er, I mean Sam.

So how do you engage option 4?

It can be as simple as affirming to yourself or out loud where you want your money to go, or how you want it to be used. State it positively, rather than affirming what you don’t want. In other words, if you don’t want your tax dollars to fund a war in Syria, then say, “This money promotes peace.” If you’re Wiccan, then the Wiccan Rede “An it harm none” can work here, too, since this concept forms a potent part of a larger philosophy and worldview.

You can also get more elaborate, by using number symbolism to convey a message. Doreen Virtue’s Number Sequences from the Angels can provide ideas. To do this, you would look for the closest match of intention within the range of money that you supposedly “owe.” Doreen’s book Angel Numbers 101 offers even more detailed information, not just with repeating numbers, but for things like 457, 526, and 916. You can get very specific with your selection, layering your intentions for peace, freedom, spiritual healing, or whatever you feel called to offer. (Interesting 911 word count right then! “911: It’s very important that you keep a positive mind-set concerning your spiritually based career ideas. Positive thoughts are your most important asset right now.”)

You don’t need to be a “witch” or “Prayer Warrior” in order to charge your money with intention. Again, money is energy. It’s a natural carrier for hopes, wishes and desires. It finds access and connection to people, organizations and entities that you might otherwise not be able to influence in direct ways. If you’re Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Pagan or Agnostic, it matters not: find a quote or verse that resonates with your direction for this money, and read it aloud while holding your check. If you feel called to do so, put a peace sign on your check or envelope. If you pay online, you can simply beam that intention to the transaction by facing the palms of your hands towards your computer as the transaction goes through. A word of caution: do not send destructive energy to something like the Fed or Monsatan through your computer unless you want to risk malfunctions! Energy is energy, and if your computer’s an intermediary, you might experience some difficulties. Wishing for the positive version rather than denying what you don’t want, usually brings about cleaner and less complicated “charging” of funds.

Option 4 can work for any payment you feel you must make to a government, organization, person or entity that you would rather de-fund than finance. These sorts of Trojan Horse payments can help keep your energy feeling strong rather than victimized and powerless. Combined with strategic spending and avoidance, option 4 bring yet another means of much-needed change to a crumbling system. Eventually all vampires and parasites go too far, destroying the very hosts they depend upon for survival. If you can’t remove yourself from their fangs and rapacious appetites, then you can find ways to taint what they consume. Finding ways to fight the good fight in areas where you’ve previously felt helpless allows you to maintain more of your own energy and positive flow. The more ways you feel in alignment with your preferred life, the stronger and more powerfully you begin to manifest that life.

“Success, happiness, peace of mind and fulfillment – the most priceless of human treasures – are available to all among us, without exception, who make things happen – who make ‘good’ things happen – in the world around them.” ~John Klock

Pentacles, Prosperity and Elementals

Today I felt called to share a few things I’ve been rolling around in my mind and heart for months. Sometime last year, I felt drawn to purchase a Faery Wicca Tarot deck, which I use more often for my own divination than in readings for clients. This deck requires so much familiarity with Faery tradition and lore that I find the Robin Wood deck much more universal and efficient. The Robin Wood images speak for themselves, creating rich tapestries of symbols and stories.

That said, I absolutely love the Faery Wicca Tarot for myself! Having studied Runes, Celtic, Druid and Faery history, I very much enjoy the coded whisperings and mystical bent. Where the Robin Wood deck brings spiritual insight into ordinary life, I feel like the Faery Wicca Tarot just blasts through any illusions of the mundane world. Everything reveals a touch of the sacred, and the multi-layered connections among cards, history and legends wrap themselves around any situation like the mists of Avalon.

Like most tarot readers, I own several decks –even a Jane Austen Tarot Deck that substitutes Quills for Swords, Candlesticks for Wands, Teacups for Cups, and Coins for Pentacles. I enjoy the variety, and that nerdy English Major in me especially enjoys close-reading the accompanying texts. I find that the chosen order of the suits tells quite a lot about the deck’s designer: hints about world view, priorities, ideas about evolution, and a hierarchy of focus. For example, in the Robin Wood deck, we begin with Pentacles and end with Cups. We experience an evolution from the material world (Pentacles), through the mental realm (Swords), into the spiritual realm (Wands) and finally move into the heart (Cups).

By contrast, the Faery Wicca Tarot suits begin with Aer (Swords/Thoughts/Air), then move through Tine (Wands/Spirit/Fire), Uisce (Cups/Emotions/Water), and finish at Domhain (Pentacles/Physical/Earth). Rather than considering physicality as a base state, the Faery Wicca tradition (based upon Celtic and Druidic wisdom), recognizes physical manifestation as the culmination of inner transformation and growth. Faeries are masters at manifestation, and this tradition holds the physical realm as direct evidence of progress (or lack thereof) in the other realms. Abraham-Hicks would likely agree: “I’m a vibrational being in a vibrational universe.”

I see tremendous value in all the tarot traditions, but today I’d like to explore the idea of physical reality as something to celebrate rather than denigrate. Many people consider the Faery Realm as part of the 5th dimension, less dense, but still with physical attributes. The Elementals, those creatures like gnomes, faeries, elves, leprechauns, brownies, and even crystals, tend the Earth. They are extremely connected to the Earth Element, and thus related to the suit of Pentacles. Money also holds its place in Pentacles — one reason some decks refer to Pentacles as Coins. Indeed, this suit covers the entire physical realm, including anything needed for survival.

As Earth shifts from dense 3D reality into higher dimensions, it occurs to me that we might learn something from the Faery Realm. Some of us already see how thoughts become things. If you find this a new concept, please familiarize yourself with the work of Abraham-Hicks, Dr. Joseph Murphy, TUT, and “The Secret.” You’ll learn to how your point of attention (Swords), combined with Source (Wands), runs through your “Emotional Guidance System” (Cups) and then finally manifests into physical form (Pentacles). Exactly the Faery Wicca Tarot order!

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that I do have a particular affection for the Faery Realm and Faery Rules. “No Rudeness.” “A Person’s Word is Bond.” “Respect, not Control.” I also love manifesting (especially instant manifestation), magic, Nature, Earth and all her creatures. Observing the remnants of the 3D world so many people call “reality,” I’d have to say we could learn a few things from the Elementals.

A couple weeks ago, I stumbled upon this free MP3 from Inelia Benz, who runs http://Ascension101.com. Given my prior pondering about tarot suit order, her discussion of “Money as an Elemental” really resonates! She encourages Lightworkers to make peace with Money, an Elemental who has been terribly abused by those who’ve sought to monopolize and control her. Inelia helps Lightworkers to get in touch with their own judgments surrounding Money, with the intention of releasing that negativity. Any judgment, resistance, fear, or outright disgust has the effect of lowering our vibration. We live in a time of financial upheaval and uncertainty, but we can make peace with Money the Elemental. As Lightworkers we can help energy — all energy — to flow freely and with Love. I highly recommend this exercise. You can read it or listen to Inelia’s recording.

Whatever happens with the markets, the dollar, gold, silver, or your retirement account, making peace with Money will help you on your journey. Whatever we resist persists, right? If you desperately wish to see an end to all the financial abuse, then loving the abused Elemental in the middle of this storm can only help us all to move beyond the old paradigm. I’m talking about Unconditional Love, by the way. Not Love based on, “Hey, Money, I will love you if you get me out of debt, help me win the lottery, give me a million dollars.” I’m talking about living from a place of Love. Being Love. Even with regard to Money.

There’s a difference between greed (control, hoarding, lack consciousness) and Love. Perhaps the Bible says it best: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

For some reason, I keep thinking of the Spirit Ariel in Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” Ariel is bound to serve Prospero because Prospero rescued him from imprisonment in a tree. Ariel creates the Tempest, not because he wants to, but because Prospero controls him. Perhaps Money, too, would love its freedom from those who control rather than respect. Elementals honor “Power to, not Power Over.” I ask you each to consider — for the love of each other, this planet, and all the realms affected by our choices — if you can open your hearts a little bit to the vastly abused Elemental of Money. Let’s surround her with thoughts of Love, Freedom, Liberation and Joy. Let’s imagine Money flowing freely and in alignment with Pure Source Energy. Let’s bring in the entire suit of Pentacles and imagine all aspects of our physical world transforming before our very eyes. Can you feel it? Do you see it?

Bring it.
