November 2022 Forecast and Fourth Quarter North Node Horoscopes

NOVEMBER 2022 FORECAST

I’m not gonna sugar coat this: the first half of November 2022 feels heavy. Mars in Gemini stations retrograde on October 30, and remains retrograde for the rest of the year. Collectively, this feels like someone hit the brakes. Plans slow down, and it feels personal, even when it’s not.

On the flip side, November brings two different sets of meteor showers: the Taurids Meteor Shower from November 4-5 and the Leonid Meteor Shower from November 17-18. Mark your calendar to watch the sky on November 9. You might get lucky enough to see Uranus with your naked eye — or at least with a telescope. In conjunction with a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse on November 8, this is wild card energy. Expect the unexpected.

All challenges bring opportunities, so don’t despair. Difficult transits are easier to navigate if you know how and when to align with the energies. You can’t stop the ocean, but you can surf the waves. When you catch the right ones, they take you far. In choppy waters, timing becomes more important than usual. Despite intensity, this month can also uplift, invigorate and inspire. Details below:

November 5 Venus in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus. Change is in the air, especially concerning relationships. Some of the October 25 eclipse energies reactivate today, and we find things aren’t exactly how we imagined. This transit offers liberation, but beware of reckless behaviors. This is not a great day for taking risks in relationships or finances.

November 7 Venus in Scorpio square Saturn in Aquarius. Another challenging day for relationships. Loneliness and overall dissatisfaction arise. People feel frustrated about delays. Responsibility — imagined or real — weighs heavy. Remember: “In perfect love and perfect trust, perfect timing is a must.” Today is probably not that time. If you push for clarity or commitment, today’s energies don’t support your quest. Better to spend the day soul searching your values or bringing more beauty into your tangible life. This transit also favors skincare, re-mineralization, redecorating, improving your smile, and/or deep conditioning your hair. You’ll have more information on the 9th. If possible, don’t make final decisions today.

November 8 Full Moon in Taurus, Lunar Eclipse, 6:02 a.m. Eastern US time. Also called the “Mourning Moon,” this one occurs on (the scheduled) Election Day in the US. The Full Moon peaks at exactly 16°00′ Taurus, between Uranus and the North Node. This portends an intense day, pointing towards the future. The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is: “AN OLD TEACHER FAILS TO INTEREST HIS PUPILS IN TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE. KEYNOTE: The inadequacy of past knowledge in time of crisis.” According to Dane Rudhyar, “We might speak here of the principle of CREATIVE FRUSTRATION.” Mercury and Venus conjunct the Scorpio Sun point. This meeting may temper frustration through love, but nasty, vindictive words, jealousy and revenge could also arise. Depending on events, Uranus and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse could trigger riots, but hopefully not!

November 16 Venus enters Sagittarius. Today feels like a breath of fresh air after all that Scorpio intensity. We’re more optimistic, and it suddenly feels easier to trust in a Higher Power. If the past month’s soul searching had you questioning whether to stay or go in a relationship, you’ll feel more confident in your ability to march to the beat of your own drum. Stay or go, you’ll long to expand. A weekend getaway could improve your prospects.

November 17 Mercury enters Sagittarius. Bold words and ideas find expression. Mercury in Sag values truth above all else, even if the truth hurts. Messaging might feel rough around the edges, but it comes from a sincere place. The next few weeks will expand our worldview. Faith and higher learning also come to the fore.

November 19 Mars in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces. Mars and Neptune are both retrograde, so this transit feels even more frustrating and slow. Instead of pouting or freaking out, try leaning into the spiritual and energetic realms. Squares create productive friction. You may need to release some illusions in order to move forward. Aligning your will with Divine Will ensures that everything happens in the perfect way and perfect time.

November 22 Sun enters Sagittarius. The Sun joins Venus and Mercury in Sagittarius. For the next month, the collective feels more generous and jovial. We seek truth and feel bold enough to handle it. Life is a grand adventure. We eagerly engage the new, while breaking away from old restrictions. The time for hesitation has passed. We’re all in.

November 23 New Moon in Sagittarius, 5:57 p.m. Eastern US time. This Sagittarius New Moon occurs only a half-hour after Jupiter stations direct in Pisces. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and co-rules Pisces, so this shift from retrograde to direct motion strengthens Jupiter and his domain. Known as “the Great Benefic,” Jupiter expands everything he touches or influences. According to Dane Rudhyar, the Sabian Symbol for this 2° Sagittarius New Moon is: “WHITE-CAPPED WAVES DISPLAY THE POWER OF WIND OVER SEA.” He adds a “KEYNOTE: The mobilization of unconscious energies under the pressure of super-personal motives.” With the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Sagittarius and Jupiter stationing direct in watery Pisces, we can expect some BIG waves! The tide is turning.

November 28 Mars in Gemini trine Saturn in Aquarius. This is a git ‘er done transit. Solutions might not move as quickly as we’d like, but they are moving into strong position. Innovative solutions build a solid foundation for future events.

I finally had a chance to listen to this excellent Rune Soup podcast talking about Mars Retrograde today, June 26th through August 27th. Gordon White and Austin Coppock also discuss  Uranus in Taurus and Venus Retrograde, giving historical background to help predict the future. The beginning features some teenage boy humor about “Ur-anus,” but the entire show is well worth a listen.

I can’t help noticing just how timely this Mars Rx coincides with the Board’s projected decision time for so many of the issues affecting our neighborhood. Mars is known as the God of War, the Passionate Warrior, and the Red Planet of desire, action, competition war and conquest. Mars is also the planet which rules instinct, ambition and power…the will to overcome adversity at all cost.

Mars is absolute action fueled by passion and anger providing the focused energy to achieve.

Mars in retrograde is energy turned inward rather than outward. Pressure becomes volcanic when Mars energy is restrained or when anger is internalized. There can be covert activity, hidden agendas leading to resentments and even paranoia.

The enormous expectations you have for yourself, coming from others, open and hidden agendas (yours and others), sexual conquest and the desire to be noticed and admired. All this falls under the realm of “Mars” and the desire to achieve. When Mars is retrograde there is a noticeable lowering of vitality, loss of direction and frustration bordering on anxiety.

This just in from an office employee:

“I do feel this lack of motivation – I can’t force myself to get my work done! It is frustrating and I want to know how best to utilize this delay. I have a paper to write and my notes are all there, the thing is half-written, and I can’t force myself to even look at it!”

Mars retrograde is the opportunity to free oneself from binding, controlling memories from the past, psychological vampires, personal incarceration to in-authentic life patterns. This means the self-imposed restrictions and boundaries you have placed upon yourself after a lifetime of being conditioned, regimented, manipulated and criticized for unorthodox or individualistic behavior.

This is the opportunity for deep re-evaluation of personal motive and begin to honestly come to terms with how authentic your life has become.. .or is there something inside your own mind holding into a pattern of false being. The experiences for renewal and regeneration are born from intense encounters of one’s Shadow…long buried dreams suppressed deep within.

FREEDOM…

… freedom from the expectation of others, freedom from worry, from the future, from the things that tie you to the past and weigh you down.

Mars retrograde in Virgo brings the inclination to begin healing through closure, severance of ties and over-due endings. These ties from the past continue to manipulate and control nearly every aspect of your present life… physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Now is all we have… and this Mars cycle is a very Spiritualizing process to discover your own desires within…not the approval from without. The time is now to replace fear and doubt with trust and faith.

Outer activities which drew your attention now fall to the side as the all-important task of re-moving blocks of anger, jealousy and low self-esteem issues can be rooted out by the inward journey of Mars and released by the power of the love and light or enlightenment.

We all need to stop blaming ourselves for the unhappy, draining circumstances we may find ourselves living with. The psychological weakness continues through projecting our goodness onto others and expecting a return of the same quality… truly a Virgo “service oriented” expression.

Virgo is said to govern the hands, abdomen, intestines, spleen and central nervous system. Mars retrograde in Virgo influences one to obsessively worry leading to stomach and bowel troubles, ulcers, inflammation, headaches and skin rashes. This requires attention to your immediate and personal health needs.

Focus on strengthening your body and healing the immune system with natural health remedies involving herbs, acupuncture and detox formulas.

Use any delays and set-backs as the opportunity to research into foods and nutrition specifically for you… memory, weight-loss, sleep patterns, adrenal fatigue, and food addictions… all these areas can now be addressed for personal re-balancing. Virgo energy always provides the way to physical, emotional, spiritual healing… especially when the Mars retrograde provides the inner-directed course of action.

There is so much more to the extensive and beautiful energy inherent in the Virgo Mars as it relate to healing, cleansing and attending to the specifics of our personal and psychological freedom…along with the autonomy inspired by the Aquarian New Moon. We are evolving and in need of peace and rest!

New Moon in Aquarius and Mars Retrograde: Releasing Anger and Energy Vampires

As part of my ongoing Forgiveness Experiment, I discovered a hot technique the other night for rechanneling the negative emotions associated with psychic vampires, narcissists, and other people who’ve flagrantly betrayed our trust and boundaries. With Pluto in Capricorn, all sorts of hidden truths have begun to reveal themselves both individually and collectively. All the deepest, darkest secrets and abuses will continue to shock and bother us as this combination of planetary energies forces the Shadows into the Light. It’s time. Carl Jung reminds us, “That which we do not bring to consciousness appears in our lives as fate.” Moving through the Shadow frees us to embrace a brighter world.

In addition to Pluto in Capricorn, some other astrological energies support finding productive ways to engage and then release our anger. We’ve got the Chinese New Year on the 23rd: Year of the Water Dragon! We’ve also got a New Moon tonight in Aquarius and beginning tomorrow, Mars Retrograde in Virgo. Thanks to Tania Marie for bringing “Let the Dragon Roar” to my attention: “Welcome to Mars turning retrograde in nitpicky Virgo! The warrior planet will be retracing its steps from Jan. 23 to April 13, and continues to energize this earthy sign until July 3. Altogether, it will spend almost eight months in Virgo, helping us channel our anger and frustration, get organized, heal ancient wounds, and find constructive ways to right personal, corporate and planetary wrongs.”

Two nights ago, I tapped into Pluto for assistance in releasing resentment. I said, “Hey, Pluto, you’re the Lord of the Underworld and the phoenix rising from its ashes. I want you to help me burn through all these emotions related to ____ and help me use them as fuel for transformation. It will save me from having to sort through them at all. I’ve determined this was a toxic relationship and whatever good I got from it was mostly due to my own determination to find the gold. Now I really want to find the gold — as in Alchemy. Rather than digging around in the muckety muck of old memories, trying to sort through the good, the bad, the ugly, the guilty, the nostalgic and especially the very, very confusing, I’m just opting to burn them all. Positive and negative emotions are powerful energy. If I burn through positive emotions, I still receive their benefit. I don’t need to worry about ‘wasting good memories’ if I’m using them for fuel. And the bad memories I can use for fuel as well. I’m tired of giving away my energy to these emotions, and I’m really tired of the emotional cords that allow ____ to continue surfing off my energy. I want my energy back. I want my life to return to the here and now. I don’t need those memories, Pluto. I need and invoke total transformation. Torch ’em!”

I went to bed angry and churning over memories that have haunted me like so many tantalizing ghosts, even when the rest of life feels magically alive. No matter what I did, some memories continued to repeat at the least convenient or appropriate times — until I tried this technique as I drifted off to sleep. It’s so weird, but I can no longer access memories of many things that were formerly on constant replay. They’re just … gone … as though I burned through actual photographs in my mind. I feel energized instead of burned out. It’s working for me. I hope you find it helpful, too!

I recently found this Michael Tsarion video/radio interview, “Psychic Vampirism, Destructive Man vs Creative Man.” I think he gives one of the best explanations of the phenomenon and ways we can choose to move through it. He’s careful to distinguish between using the idea as a means of avoiding our own responsibility and the actual situation of people who purposely prey upon other people’s Light. I very much appreciate his recommendation to have fun with our process of freeing ourselves. Evolution need not be a constant drag. It need not make us feel like victims.
