Autumn glory in Kalamazoo! David and I walked one of our favorite parts of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail today. Such a beautiful Fall!

I had all but decided not to offer anymore Reiki Level 1 or 2 classes until 2019; however, four people in the past week have inquired about Reiki Level 1. Not everyone’s local to Kalamazoo, but I do pay attention to synchronicities. If you have interest in learning Reiki Level 1 from me sometime this Fall, please contact me with some good dates for you in mid-October to mid-November.
I’ve got my September trip to Lake Tahoe to co-teach “Living a More Magickal Life” with faery sis Tania Marie. (We still have a few spots left for the Fall Equinox class.) Other than that, I’m focusing most of my energy on phone sessions and completing my metaphysics of Lyme disease book. If enough people want a Reiki Level 1 class this Fall, I’ll do my best to make it happen, but the more time I have to figure out timing, the better. The Reiki 1 class would be at our home in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Participants would become certified Reiki Level 1 Practitioners, able to perform Reiki on themselves and others.

On Thanksgiving, David and I took a hike at one of our favorite spots in Kalamazoo — Asylum Lake Preserve. We always find portals and magical spots, and Thursday was no exception. Here are some that David managed to catch on his iPhone.
We call this one “The Ganesha Tree,” and he opens the way to one of the trails. Can you see the elephant eye, ears, leg, and trunk? I think it looks even more like Ganesha from the other side, but the lighting worked better this way.
You can see the smaller of the two lakes behind me (above), and the larger of the two lakes below:
We also saw some amazing faery portals: Continue reading

At long last, I can make official what I’ve only hinted at for months: this past Summer David and I bought a house and relocated from Goshen, IN to Kalamazoo, MI.
After considering many other locations and then taking a whirlwind tour of Southwest Michigan in Summer 2016, we found that Kalamazoo offered all the things that attracted us to far more distant locales. It feels like the “sweet spot” of Continue reading

Reiki (pronounced “RAY-key”) is an ancient method of healing from Tibet. “Rei” means “universal” and “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as Chi or prana in other Eastern systems like acupuncture or yoga. Thus, Reiki refers to the healing qualities of “universal life force energy.” Rediscovered in the late 19th century by a Japanese monk named Mikao Usui, Reiki works on physical, mental and emotional levels, restoring balance to body, mind and spirit. After completing this workshop, students will be certified Reiki 1 practitioners.

We saw these yesterday on a visit to Bronson Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. There were many more, but these were some of my favorites. Too clever and lovely not to share:

Just a few updates on a sunshine and snow filled day!
It’s Good to be Alive, Right About Now
For most people I know, 2017 got off to a slow start, but then the forward momentum snapped like a rubber band. Lots of people, myself included, started new creative projects, and others have redecorated or embraced cleaner, higher vibration foods, as well as new exercise programs. I’ve lost track of how many people started rebounding after I wrote about it in my “Shaking Up the Energies” post. Bouncing, especially to fun and/or sacred music, really does get that lymph flowing and gives stagnation the old heave-ho.
The following Andy Grammer song sums up the shift of energies for so many people, and, coincidentally, this would be great for some dance-rebounding. 😉 Continue reading
