Precognitive Toes

I had a weird precognitive thing happen today. About a week ago, I started feeling this little tickle at the base of my toes on the top of my right foot. The second and third toes. I kept looking at my foot, because it felt exactly like one of my head hairs had wrapped itself around my toes and was tickling them. This had never happened before. My hair is everywhere, but I’d never had it do that on my toes. I kept checking, though, because it felt just like that’s what happened.

This morning when I sat down to write in my dream journal with the BioMat behind my back, I suddenly felt the little tickle again, except this time, I was certain there really was a hair wrapped around my toes. I looked down, and sure enough, there was. I removed it. Then, hours later, I got on the yoga mat and was doing various asanas. All of a sudden, I sensed again that a hair had wrapped itself around those same two toes. I looked down, and yep, another hair had somehow done the exact same thing. It wasn’t the same one as before, because I threw that one away.

I don’t think there’s any great meaning in these occurrences, but they’re kind of odd in a precognitive feeling and validation way. I was wondering if I just had some bizarre neuropathy last week, but it felt exactly like having a hair tickle my toes by wrapping itself around them. I kept pulling at my toes, trying to remove this imaginary hair, but there was nothing like that last week — just the feeling. Then, today, not once, but twice I find hairs wrapped around those two toes. The hairs were not just lying on top of those toes. They were totally wrapped around them, multiple times — loosely, but not like a hair just happened to land there.

I keep getting these validations of the craziest things I notice or think — that there IS some reason for my feeling or thinking those things. The reason just shows up later, either hours, days, weeks, months or even years later.

Anyone else noticing a major uptick in precognition or recent validation of long ago intuitive senses?

Rune Soup: Talking Afterlife Experiences with Elizabeth Krohn.

I listened to this Rune Soup episode awhile back and meant to post it. Elizabeth’s story reminds me of some of my own weirder experiences, as well as relationship tensions following my 1998 TBI. Elizabeth Krohn teamed up with Dr. Jeff Kripal (Mutants and Mystics, The Super Natural: Why the Unexplained is Real, and many more) to co-author Changed in a Flash: One Woman’s Near-Death Experience and Why a Scholar Thinks It Empowers Us All.

Gordon White shares on his blog and YouTube channel:

This week, in what is probably one of my favourite ever episodes, we welcome to the show Elizabeth Krohn. Elizabeth, along with Dr Jeff Kripal, is the author of Changed in a Flash, which is the story of her being struck by lightning, dying and returning from the afterlife very much changed. A truly fascinating discussion. Enjoy.

Spring 2018 Update

Returning from some quite Otherwordly adventures, I wish you a belated Happy Equinox! I cannot even begin to explain how vastly my inner world (and thus also my outer world) has shifted in the past two weeks. Tania Marie just posted her epic Grand Canyon adventure overlapping some of that time, and I will just say that I’ve experienced something similar in terms of integration, timeline shifts, healing, courage and more. Maybe someday I will tell these stories as fiction, because few would believe them as fact. In any case, the internal shifts have created some lovely external manifestations, which I’ll share here.

During this same time period, I’ve noticed clients growing by leaps and bounds, too, so this energy shift seems available to many. I’ve witnessed people coming out of a fog, reclaiming sovereignty over body and soul, embracing an expanded life path, and many people finally clicking in with deep, nourishing soul mate romantic connections. My work Continue reading

Celebrating 19 Years Post-TBI

Today, May 19, 2017, marks the 19th anniversary of my life altering brain injury, and I am filled with gratitude.

Without that car “accident,” I would not be where I am today, would not be offering intuitive readings, Life Coaching, or teaching Reiki. I would not have explored Tarot or past lives, painted portal doors, learned Runes, explored telepathy, or embraced the enormous volume of energy flowing over, through and around my life. I would not have encountered so many amazing beings as I dead reckoned my way home.

Contrary to what my doctors pronounced, Continue reading

A Few Updates

Blue House Nearing Completion:

Five months into the happy detour of taking over the house next door as a writing office/community space/larger classroom/guest house, along with expanding my garden into another yard, including the planting of 1,000 spring bulbs this fall, everything is now finished except my writing office and the back laundry roomed turned indoor garden center. Those will continue to progress, but the main public spaces are finished except for some very minor details. This feels like a milestone, because I’ve finally finished enough of the setup to return to some of the exciting projects I initiated shortly before life opened up in that highly expansive way.

First order of business: finishing my Permaculture Design Course so that I can officially share my permaculture knowledge via classes and consultations.

Permaculture Education Center is one of only two accredited online versions of the original 72-hour PDC created by Bill Mollison. Although many people prefer to take their PDC in person, for me, the online option works well — no travel complications, no need to worry whether or not a locale can meet my dietary preferences/needs, no concerns about fluorescent lights in a classroom, no need to be away for two weeks or several weekends, much lower cost than in-person classes, plus the ability to work at my own pace.

Since I already have a lot of experience gardening, designing, and visiting various permaculture set-ups, I didn’t feel like I needed another in-person experience if that meant I’d need to wait for perfect timing to begin. When I first signed up, I thought I’d jump right in, but with the wonderful, yet unexpected late summer through fall detour, I really appreciated the flexibility to put studies on hold until fully able to concentrate on them.

Dr. Enzo contacted me back in 2014, recognizing I’ve been using permaculture design principles in our yard since I began transforming it in early 2013. He explained how the PDC would offer expert feedback on those designs, as well as additional, more in-depth permaculture information than what I’ve learned through books and mini-courses. So far, I’m enjoying the course, and I can attest to the thorough critique of homework and excellent response time for emails! As mentioned before, Dr. Enzo has also offered a $50 discount for any of my blog readers who wish to study through Permaculture Education Center. Just use coupon code LauraB when you sign up. (I’m not an affiliate — just passing along the discount to my readers.)

Writing Update

Some people might remember that I originally became interested in Haus am See (our name for the Blue House), because I wanted a writing office with better views. The downstairs bedroom overlooks my extensive gardens instead of staring at a wall, factory or blank field. I had given up on writing any fiction in our lovely home, because the only spaces I could write in here either have offensive views or are filled with the energies of phone sessions, blogging and/or everyday living. In order to create something inspired and new, I knew I needed a very different space that allowed for my soul to exhale the everyday and inhale Awen.

Earlier this year, pre-blue house, I had begun OBOD’s Bardic Grade course as a jump start to my writing and inspiration. I actually credit those initial studies with the spark that led to the magical intention that drew forth the new opportunities via expansion next door; however, the appearance of that intention in real form resulted in me putting a serious delay on continuing those studies. As the winter months settle in and we make our way past holiday guests and travels, I will be taking advantage of weather imposed restrictions on gardening projects and teaching large volumes of in-person classes so that I can spend more time as a student, completing the courses begun earlier this year.

What This Means for the Blog:

When I first began my studies, I had announced a conscious inhale and reduction of posts and outer commitments. After a very quick inhale, the sudden, unanticipated new direction of the exhale resulted in a surge of larger in-person Reiki classes, house guests, and hosting community events, plus all those new gardening projects! All my creative energies focused on setting up Haus am See, researching plants, finding decorations, manifesting more furniture and bargains, and designing the yard and sacred indoor space. Blogging felt like a still-productive and creative chance to sit down, so after a short respite ,I ended up continuing nearly the same level of blogging as before.

While I do enjoy blogging and view all the support I offer here as a sort of tithe, blogging and excess email correspondence remain the easiest, most logical areas from which to draw extra time for other creative projects. I will still continue a regular load of coaching and intuitive clients; however, please don’t be surprised that frequency and length of blog posts will drop into hibernation-maintenance mode for awhile. I need to reclaim that time and energy to focus on coursework over the next few months in order to be able to offer those things I feel led to share in 2016.

New Website in the Works:

As further preparation for the expanded direction, I also feel led to consolidate old websites and create a new website that focuses much more on gardening, permaculture and in-person, local classes, along with a shorter bio and vaguer descriptions of intuitive services palatable to the local customs and consciousness levels here. This blog will remain, but some of the free time I would devote to blog posts will get funneled into creation of a new WordPress hosted website, which I’ll announce when ready. I’ve already shut down two eBook websites and redirected them to the books page on this blog. If you’d like copies of my novel Schizandra and the Gates of Mu, or my non-fiction books, The Lazy Raw Foodist’s Guide and/or If I Only Had a Brain Injury, please contact me for purchase details.

The new website will include a new newsletter signup, as well as standalone information about classes and offerings. Since my international blog readers and clients appreciate far greater depth and breadth of topics and discussions than what most of our local community finds comfortable or comprehensible, it seems wisest not to try to be all things to all people via a single web presence. The new site will also provide clients with a chance to refer people to me or my services, without requiring new people to wade through the blog.

Wishing You a Blessed Winter Season:

‘Tis the time of year (in the Northern Hemisphere) for going indoors, hunkering down, reading, dreaming, incubating and nurturing seeds and bulbs that won’t reveal any evidence of themselves until spring. I wish you all a creative, productive and joyful season. You’ll still hear from me, but in order to preempt concerned emails about my seeming incommunicado or a deluge of “must post” links, I wanted to share the new direction now.

If you have must share links or information, please find ways to share that through your own channels. I’m not currently looking to host my own radio show,  become a news aggregate website, or list every single article available on faeries, permaculture, growing your own food, Putin, geoengineering, magick and/or countless other things I’ve blogged about. I’ve always envisioned this blog as a springboard offering — a place from which to bounce as your own interests and passions lead you to respond to the many challenges and opportunities facing our world today.

If you would like my personalized attention or discussion of various issues, then please contact me to book a session. This blog is a public service, but the income from private sessions and classes is what allows me to offer so much here for free. It also allows me to model how local volunteering and local projects help to ground effective and empowering changes in our larger world.

I know many wonderful, informed and creative people through this blog, but in order to create deeper and more informed, wonderful offerings, I need to focus my time and energy on the projects at hand. You are powerful. If you believe I need to post a link or become aware of some new topic, please step back and ask yourself what you feel called to do with that information. Please let your growing awareness of our crazy world inform and inspire the actions that you take, as I follow my inner guidance here.

Blessed Be … and be the blessing!

MAY 2015 SPECIALS

$44 Tarot Readings

Half hour tarot readings at 20% off the usual rate. Tarot readings offer an energetic check-in, the chance to ask questions about pending decisions or intentions, and represent a fun, yet powerful way to gain new perspective on relationships and challenges.

Tarot readings are particularly good for people who don’t know what kinds of questions to ask me; they just want some kind of guidance because they feel unsure of what’s coming or what to focus upon. Tarot also seems to benefit those people who have exceptionally good things coming their way, yet wonder if I might be “padding the reading” or “just saying what they want to hear.” The cards don’t lie. (Neither do I – but the cards seem that much more objective a medium for delivering good news.)

Please contact me if you’d like to sign up for this special. Offer valid if prepaid on or before May 31, 2015.

Intuitive Preparedness Check-In

This is a return of a popular 2014 special, which I feel called to highlight again now due to the variety of emails and comments I’ve received from clients and friends that “things just got too close to home.” Possibilities that seemed remote are suddenly showing up in their towns or among their social set, and people want to know how to maintain an optimistic vibration while also shoring up any weak spots. This special responds to many comments, questions and private emails requesting my take on the question “What can I do right now?” — for specific individuals, rather than general guidelines and suggestions.

This hour session gives you access to my own intuitive scan of what areas of focus will provide you the greatest payback and sense of abundance, peace and security, with the least amount of resistance. Those looking to make larger lifestyle shifts can ask me to scan various lifestyle, location and/or community options to see which ones fit best with your vibration and heart’s desires. You can also use our time together to discuss energetic/magickal protection and manifestation tools and techniques, along with troubleshooting your most pressing concerns in various areas of life, including finances, food security, faith/spirituality/soul nurturing, relationships and/or land, including “garden guidance.”

I feel so strongly about helping people take steps from fear, denial and overwhelm into abundance, joy and freedom, that I’m keeping this pricing a simple $123. As Tolkien said, “Little by little, one travels far.”

Please contact me if you’d like to sign up for this special. Offer valid if prepaid on or before May 31, 2015.

REIKI LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION CLASSES

Reiki Level 1 Certification Class in Goshen, Indiana
Saturday, June 20, 2015
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Hosted at my home in Goshen, IN (address given after sign-up)

Reiki Level 1 Certification Class in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Saturday, July 18, 2015
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Hosted by my sweet, artistic and very groovy sister in Allentown, PA (address given after sign-up)

Reiki is an ancient healing method rediscovered in the 19th century by the Japanese monk Dr. Mikao Usui. The “Rei” in Reiki stands for “universal” or” spiritual,” and the “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as “Chi” or “prana” in other Eastern systems of healing and energy work or yoga. It offers an easy, non-draining way to provide hands-on or distant healing through energy exchange and profound relaxation, allowing the recipient’s body, mind, soul and spirit to access their own deepest healing. Reiki can be practiced professionally, or as an adjunct to one’s own spiritual path and holistic lifestyle. I teach the Usui Method of Reiki, which is the most traditional style from which all other types derive.

Students will learn and/or receive:

• History, nature, and science of Reiki.
• Experiencing Reiki energy.
• Using Reiki with other healing arts.
• Discussion of 21-day cleanse.
• Treating animals and plants.
• Essence scanning process.
• Establishing a Reiki practice.
• Practice self-treatment hand positions.
• Handouts and resource list.
• Reiki Circles.
• What a Reiki lineage represents.
• Giving a Reiki treatment with hand positions.
• Ethics and Legal Responsibilities as a Reiki Practitioner.
• Reiki Level 1 Attunement.

Certification: At the end of the training, each student will receive a certificate acknowledging completion of Reiki Level 1, as well as recognition as a Reiki Level 1 Practitioner. Taking any Reiki training with Laura Bruno also qualifies each student to audit (at no cost) any additional Reiki classes taught by her, up to and including the level completed with her (space permitting).

Fee: Regular rate for Reiki 1 Certification is $175. If prepaid in full two weeks in advance, cost is $150.

Pre-registration and a $25 non-refundable deposit are required to reserve your spot.

Intuitive Preparedness Check-In

This is a return of a popular 2014 special, which I feel called to highlight again now. This special responds to many comments, questions and private emails requesting my take on the question “What can I do right now?” — for specific individuals, rather than general guidelines and suggestions. With so many people feeling the structures and safety nets of the old world slip away, clients, friends and blog readers continue to voice concerns that preparedness strategies seem too overwhelming even to contemplate, let alone implement.

Return of the $77 Past Life Quickie

Another “oldie” but goodie. 😉

With the veils thinning, so many more people have begun to experience what I call “past life bleed-through.” Dreams, hunches, visions, flashes … however the suspected past life awareness arrives, it can feel unsettling, exciting and/or cause obsessive questions. This half-hour reading allows people to ask persistent questions, or to have a check-in regarding the most pressing karmic issues presenting themselves right now. Yes, this can include past life relationships with animal friends. I don’t normally offer Past Life Readings in a half-hour format, but I wanted to make this available to the larger numbers of people wondering about previous lifetimes and relationships. If you’d like to double this special for the full hour, just let me know in your scheduling request. Offer valid if prepaid on or before January 31, 2015.

Seer’s Tea

I enjoyed the challenge of collecting all these various herbs and teas — some from my own garden. I first saw this recipe on hocuspocus13.wordpress.com, and for some reason, just couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’ve settled upon drinking this as a late afternoon tea, and I do seem to be dreaming more. Plus, it’s yummy with a hint of honey — like a rich, complex beer without the alcohol. Anyway, I’m posting this here for the ladies. A number of these herbs are female hormone balancers, so I’m not sure how well it would work for men. Sweet dreams!

Triple Moon Herbs

The essence of this blend is to calm the conscious mind and awaken the intuitive sense. As well, an aid for sleep, anxiety and divination. The recipe (for a large batch) follows.

Seer’s Tea

tea

1 cup green rooibos
1 cup hops flowers
1 cup damiana
1/2 cup mugwort
1/2 cup chamomile
1/3 cup hibiscus flowers, lightly crushed
1/2 cup calendula flowers
2 tablespoons orange peel
2 tablespoons lavender

Mix herbs in a bowl thoroughly.
To brew, pour hot water (just under a boil but not boiling), over 1 tablespoon of the blend per 8 oz cup. Steep at least 5 minutes, longer if you’d like it stronger. Best enjoyed with a bit of honey.

Two More Weeks for November Specials + Classes Forming

Just a reminder that you have two more weeks to take advantage of the November Specials.

So many people asked me to make an exception and extend the October 2014 Specials for them or for a loved one whom they’ve told about their own session(s) that I decided to extend both October Specials through November 2014. Clearly, these specials address pressing needs right now, and the brand new Intuitive Preparedness Check-In sessions last month went really well. I enjoyed helping people move from panic and unease into a greater sense of confidence and focus. With all the health challenges arising right now, I’m also happy to offer the Medical Intuitive sessions at a discount so more people can afford the guidance and support. Continued blessings….

December will (most likely) have new ones, despite the popularity of this set, so if you’d like them, please remember to order in November.

NOVEMBER 2014 SPECIALS

$77 Medical Intuitive Sessions

Lots of healing in the works these days! As such, I’ve been “informed” that the first October Special is a Medical Intuitive Session sale to help support people getting over that healing hump.

Medical Intuition is the ability to access information about physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health through reading the energy field around the body. A Medical Intuitive Session decodes the message(s) from soul to body into language your conscious mind can understand and begin to address. (It is not meant to replace traditional medical treatment, but rather to empower your healing via whatever modality you ultimately choose.) Medical Intuitive Readings are normally $175 per hour or $90 per half hour.

Medical Intuitive sessions purchased today through 11/30/14, will be discounted to $77 (13% off) per half hour, which can be doubled or tripled for longer sessions.

Intuitive Preparedness Check-In

This is a brand new offering based on many comments, questions and private emails requesting my take on the question “What can I do right now?” — for specific individuals, rather than general guidelines and suggestions. With so many people feeling the structures and safety nets of the old world slip away, clients, friends and blog readers continue to voice concerns that preparedness strategies seem too overwhelming even to contemplate, let alone implement.

Christina Sarich ~ 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul

Just in case you think you’re crazy going through all these changes … Thanks, G!

Christina Sarich ~ 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul

You can say it’s because of a global shift in consciousness, a destiny we have arrived at due to spiritual evolution, or the outcome of strange times, but, many people all across the globe are going through intense personal changes and sensing an expansion of consciousness. Personal changes of this magnitude can be difficult to recognize and to understand, but here are 21 traits that might suggest you are going through a big shift within yourself.

1.  Being in public places is sometimes overwhelming. Since our walls between self and other are dissolving, we haven’t really learned to distinguish between someone else’s energy and our own. If the general mood of the crowd is herd-like or negative, we can feel this acutely, and may feel like retreating into our own private space. When we have recharged our batteries with meditation, spending time in nature, far away from other people, or just sitting in quiet contemplation, we are ready to be with the masses again. In personal relationships, we often will feel someone else’s emotions as our own. It is important to have this higher sense of empathy, but we must learn to allow another person’s emotions while observing them and keeping our empathy, but, realizing that not all emotions belong to us. Social influence can dampen our own innate wisdom.

2.  We know things without having to intellectually figure them out. Often called intuitive awareness, we have ‘a-ha’ moments and insights that can explain some of the most complex theories or phenomenon in the world. Some of the most brilliant minds of our time just ‘know.’ Adepts and sages often were given downloads of information from higher states of consciousness after meditating or being in the presence of a more conscious individual; this is happening for more people with more frequency. As we trust our intuition more often, it grows stronger.  This is a time of ‘thinking’ with our hearts more than our heads. Our guts will no longer be ignored. Our dreams are becoming pre-cognitive and eventually our conscious thoughts will be as well.

3.  Watching television or most of main stream media, including newspapers and many Hollywood movies is very distasteful to us. The mindset that creates much, but not all, of the programming on television and in cinema is abhorrent. It makes people into commodities and promotes violence. It reduces our intelligence and numbs our natural empathetic response to someone in pain.

4.  Lying to us is nearly impossible. We may not know exactly what truth you are withholding, but we can also tell (with our developing intuition and ESP skills) that something isn’t right. We also know when you have other emotions, pain, love, etc. that you aren’t expressing. You’re an open book to us. We aren’t trained in counter-intelligence, we are just observant and knowing. While we may pick up on physical cues, we can look into your eyes and know what you are feeling.

5.  We may pick up symptoms of your cold, just like men who get morning sickness when their wives are pregnant. Sympathy pains, whether emotional or physical, are something we experience often. We tend to absorb emotion through the solar plexus, considered the place we ‘stomach emotion’ so as we learn to strengthen this chakra center, we may sometimes develop digestive issues. Grounding to the earth can help to re-establish our emotional center. Walking barefoot is a great way to re-ground.

6.  We tend to root for the underdog, those without voices, those who have been beaten down by the matrix, etc. We are very compassionate people, and these marginalized individuals often need more love. People can sense our loving hearts, so complete strangers will often tell us their life stories or approach us with their problems. While we don’t want to be a dumping ground for everyone’s issues, we are also a good ear for those working through their stuff.

7.  If we don’t learn how to set proper boundaries, we can get tired easily from taking on other people’s emotions. Energy Vampires are drawn to us like flies to paper, so we need to be extra vigilant in protecting ourselves at times.

8.  Unfortunately, sensitives or empaths often turn to drug abuse or alcohol to block some of their emotions and to ‘protect’ themselves from feeling the pain of others.

9.  We are all becoming people who assist others. We naturally gravitate toward healing fields, acupuncture, reiki, Qi-Gong, yoga, massage, midwivery, etc. are fields we often find ourselves in. We know that the collective needs assistance and so we try our best to offer it in whatever form we are most drawn to. We also turn away from the ‘traditional’ forms of healing ourselves. Preferring natural foods, herbs, and holistic medicine as ways to cure every ailment.

10.  We see the possibilities before others do. Just like when the church told Copernicus he was wrong, and he stood by his heliocentric theory, we know what the masses refuse to believe. Our minds are light-years ahead.

11.  We are creative. We sing, dance, paint, invent, or write. We have amazing imaginations.

12.  We require more solitude than the average person.

13.  We might get bored easily, but we are really good at entertaining ourselves.

14.  We have a difficult time doing things we don’t want to do or don’t really enjoy. We really do believe life was meant to be an expression of joy. Why waste it doing something you hate? We aren’t lazy, we are discerning.

15.  We are obsessed with bringing the truth to light. Like little children who say, “that’s not fair” we want to “right” the “wrongs” of the world, and we believe it often just takes education. We endeavor to explain the unexplainable and find answers to the deep questions of life. We are seekers, in the Campbellian paradigm. ‘The Hero With a Thousand Faces.”

16.  We can’t keep track of time. Our imaginations often get away with us and a day can feel like a minute, a week, a day.

17.  We abhor routine.

18.  We often disagree with authority, especially when it doesn’t make sense. (for obvious reasons).

19. We will often be kind, but if you are egotistical or rude, we won’t spend much time with you or find an excuse to not hang out with people who are obsessed with themselves. We don’t ‘get’ people who are insensitive to other people’s feelings or points of view.

20. We may be vegan or vegetarian because we can sense a certain energy of the food we eat, like if an animal was slaughtered inhumanely. We don’t want to consume negative energy.
