I listened to this Rune Soup episode awhile back and meant to post it. Elizabeth’s story reminds me of some of my own weirder experiences, as well as relationship tensions following my 1998 TBI. Elizabeth Krohn teamed up with Dr. Jeff Kripal (Mutants and Mystics, The Super Natural: Why the Unexplained is Real, and many more) to co-author Changed in a Flash: One Woman’s Near-Death Experience and Why a Scholar Thinks It Empowers Us All.

Rune Soup ~ Talking Permaculture and Seasonal Festivals with Robyn Francis

I love this talk between Gordon White and Robyn Francis! It’s chock full of information, but feels like storytime with a wise grandmother. So lovely! If you have any interest in permaculture, connection with the land, practicality, and the inherent magic of life, you’ll probably love it, too.

This was a rich and fascinating discussion between Gordon White, author of Star.Ships, and Richard Dolan, publisher of, among other things, Mike Clelland’s The Messengers books. They cover Gobekli Tepe, the Dogon people, magic, astrology, tricksters, the limitations of academia, ancient prehistory, and the future of humanity. If you’ve got an hour and 42 minutes, it’s well worth a listen. It certainly made riding the exercise bike, doing laundry and cooking jackfruit tacos a lot more interesting!

Mars Retrograde and Astrology for the Second Half of 2018

I finally had a chance to listen to this excellent Rune Soup podcast talking about Mars Retrograde today, June 26th through August 27th. Gordon White and Austin Coppock also discuss  Uranus in Taurus and Venus Retrograde, giving historical background to help predict the future. The beginning features some teenage boy humor about “Ur-anus,” but the entire show is well worth a listen.

I can’t help noticing just how timely this Mars Rx coincides with the Board’s projected decision time for so many of the issues affecting our neighborhood.
