Happy Solstice, Happy Anniversary, Happy Holidays, and Merry Christmas Eclipse!

I’m not sure how much I’ll be online for the rest of this year. On Saturday, December 21, 2019, Winter Solstice arrives, right on David’s and my third anniversary of our Winter Solstice marriage. We’ll celebrate the change of seasons with a long weekend and a few of our favorite things. We’ll also feel our way into the dynamic energies finishing out 2019.

Depending on your location, Christmas or Boxing Day this year includes a New Moon at 4° Capricorn and an annular Solar Eclipse. As far as eclipses go, this one feels rather lucky with Jupiter at 5° 20′ Capricorn in a harmonious, Earthy trine with Uranus at 2° 45′ Taurus. This combo brings wild, liberating, revolutionary Uranus to support Jupiter’s truth, expansion and luck. Not many people look at the Centaur Pholus, but this “small thing, BIG EFFECT,” slow moving powerhouse will be at 2° 8′ Capricorn on December 26, almost exactly trine that wild Uranian energy. With expansive Jupiter so close by, we might find that tiny moves during this eclipse produce exponentially large results over the next six months.

It takes a New Moon to ground and activate intentions made during the previous Full Moon. At 12:12 a.m. on 12/12 (Eastern US time), this Full Moon released a potent explosion of pent up energy: Saturn, Venus and Pluto conjunct at 19-21° Capricorn, with the Full Moon forming a creativity-generating quincunx at 19° Gemini. The quincunx (aka inconjunct) aspect demands integration of energies that appear to have nothing in common. A tall order — made taller if you happen to have any natal or progressed planets in the 19-21° range of Gemini or Capricorn. I do, and I definitely experienced that Full Moon in a major way. I know many clients did, too.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse and its roll out over the next six months will give further insights into and support for that Full Moon integration process. On the collective level, this involves finding ways to merge playful, trickster, mutable, chatty Gemini with cardinal, karmic, professional, law and order Capricorn. Tensions between eternal child and stern patriarch may arise — and we must find ways to honor both. In addition, we’ll need to find balance between superficial, verbal gymnastics and technical “truth,” versus a more somber and rigid sense of rules and honesty. We need both Gemini and Capricorn during this period of increased revelations. Gemini knows how to make difficult messages more palatable, and Capricorn brings integrity to that process.

This Christmas Solar Eclipse features the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto all in Capricorn. That much Capricorn can feel heavy, so remind yourself that the days are getting longer, bit by bit in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, you’ve got Summer. All that sunshine should offset the occasional Cappy Gloom. In the Northern Hemisphere, it may help to hearken back to traditions of light: candles, fireplace, staring at the stars.

Take this time to go inside yourself and find your own light in the darkness. We are both Shadow and Light, Earth and Spirit. Even if you don’t follow events in the sky, you feel them in your body just by virtue of living on this planet at this time. We live in miraculous, challenging and potent times. Honor your courage in choosing to be here now. Thank you for being here.

Whichever holy days you celebrate, I wish you a beautiful rest of 2019. I may or may not return here before the New Year. I’ve got an exciting new collaboration to announce in 2020, and some new projects in the works, as well as old ones on the docket for completion soon. (Yes, The Metaphysics of Lyme Disease, I mean you!) The past ten years have been a wild ride. I filed divorce on the Blue Moon of December 31, 2009, and now I’m completing nine years of living together and three years of marriage with such a sweet, tender, loving, funny man. I feel blessed and deeply grateful.

T-Shirts: A Fun, Silly Side Project, Plus a Lyme Book Update

I wasn’t going to mention this on my blog; in fact, I created these t-shirts on a whim, released them into the Universe and then promptly forgot about them. When I create something visual, I get so immersed in the present moment and then move onto the next thing, fully immersing in that. Sweet Faery Twin Tania Marie reminded me of the t-shirts by posting one of herself wearing the one I designed and sent among her birthday gifts:

IMG_3096

It features a teal fairy and script reading “Fairy Important Person.” She shared a closeup photo, too, and people started asking where she got her shirt. You can find it here, in several color options. 🙂

That reminded me that I created a text only version, along with some “Wyrd is the Word” shirts, all of which you can find here.

They were a fun diversion after creating Reiki Level 2 Symbols: A Guided Practice Journal and Lyme Journal: A Guided Recovery Workbook, as well as the synchronicity, answered prayer and dream journals.

In any case, those are some behind the scenes projects I worked on last fall and winter, before reading back to back Tolkien novels, traveling and getting back to painting. I always have some kind of creative project flowing in the garden, house, writing, painting, or something else. I just rarely think to mention the smaller creations, even though I have so much fun doing them.

For those of you eagerly awaiting The Metaphysics of Lyme book, I’ve given myself a break until June, and then I’ll focus on editing and releasing that book sometime in late 2019. I appreciate your patience. Visual arts fill my well. Writing — though I do a lot of it — pulls from that well, so I periodically need to refill my well in order to continue writing. The good news is that I talk each week with so many clients dealing with Lyme disease that I have constant material rising to the surface for inclusion and revamping in the book, in order to create the most valuable Lyme resource I can.

In the meantime, Lyme Journal encourages readers to delve into deeper patterns and self-healing possibilities for people with Lyme or any other chronic illness/injury that hasn’t responded well to traditional treatments.

What can I say? I’ve got four planets in Gemini and Virgo Rising — lots of Mercury in my chart. Change is good for me, but I eventually cycle back to old projects with new insights and energy. My process just takes awhile for more complex creations. 🙂

Tom Lescher/Kaypacha ~ Astrology Forecast for June 5, 2013

Thanks, Toni! 🙂

“The intention is to take the Dream and bring it down to Reality.” This week’s report covers the Square between Pisces and Gemini, “the New Moon sowing the seed in the sign of Gemini,” a Grand Trine, Black Moon Lilith’s move from Gemini into Cancer, “squeezing twelve dimensions into three,” and how this energy initiates strong feelings and an outpouring of Truth. “Ready or not,” here comes the revolutionary change!

From Tom:

“It’s time for me to speak my truth,
Whether the world is ready to hear it,
I won’t know until I share it,
But I’ll die if I keep on stuffin’ it!

“Wow! So much busyness is happening with this New Moon coming up in Gemini! Hope you’re wrapping up the old stuff and getting ready for a new blast off! It’s time to pull out the barbeque, invite the neighbors over and share the joy. Wishing you the best of of all….aloha….”

Tom Lescher/Kaypacha ~ May 22, 2013 Pele Report, Astrology Forecast

I love this Pele Report!

First of all, Tom filmed it at Lake Tahoe, one of the favorite places I’ve lived. Twice. 🙂 Secondly, he gives some really wonderful insights into Gemini’s.

As a Gemini, I have always lived with this keen sense of not only extreme dualities, but also with the desire, need and passion for weaving those extremes together. When Tom says, “Gemini has one foot in heaven and one in hell,” I know exactly what he means, because I live it. My life’s work involves so much of helping people root out their Shadow, see the Light and bring Heaven down to Earth, honoring them both in physical, tangible ways. It’s incredibly healing work, but sometimes being able to recognize, honor and embody such extremes makes a person feel totally misunderstood and radically out of place in this world:

What?! You don’t want to choose one or the other? How can you possibly see both sides of such extreme issues? How can you possibly engage mutually exclusive visions? You’ve lost me there … You’re not one o’ them tree-huggers are you?! Don’t tell me you’re one of those conspiracy theorists! You’re a peacenik who supports the Second Amendment? You love, love, love the Amish and have Amish friends, but you also know and respect a lot of veterans? You relate to evangelical Christians but sing Hindu chants and engage your inner warrior with a magick wand? Um…

Somewhere along the way, I also became an intense Gemini who actually does care about the integration process. I used to be much flightier, but the Fire Faery of 2010 hasn’t gone away. LOL! Not hardly. Anyone who’s been struggling with duality, with a Gemini friend or spouse, or with the Universal nudge to transcend all this madness will appreciate Tom’s message, which covers Gemini myths and traits, several Tarot Archetypes, and the Lunar Eclipse that happens tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on your location. Enjoy!

Tom Lescher/Kaypacha ~ Astrology Forecast for May 15, 2013

Another weekly update from Kaypacha: this one gives some interesting mythological insights into Uranus, mandates a hard look at what’s happening in and to our world, and winds up on a freer note, as the Sun moves into Gemini early next week.

On my end, I definitely feel energy building towards … something. This Sunday marks the 15th anniversary of my life-changing car accident and brain injury, and next Wednesday I turn the big 4-0. I have so many things I’d like to begin, but I keep getting the message, “Wait until next week.” “Rest.” “Relax.” “Enjoy the lull.”

We Gemini’s find it difficult to sit still, especially on sunny days. When I try to pack more things into my day, they mysteriously all reschedule themselves for later next week. All of which is to say that I very much enjoyed Kaypacha’s report this week. I, too, feel the changes brewing. I would say, “Let’s do this!” but for me, right now, apparently, it’s: “Wait for it … wait for it … wait … wait … wait … and … boom! Now, hit the ground running.”

Many blessings!
