Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s not very Irish, but this feels right to share today. If you find your mind filled with worries, chatter or empathing the energies around you, upgrading content works wonders. Literally, works Wonders. The mantra translates to:
“May the ultimate truth and that which is beyond all boundaries be victorious. May there be peace, peace, peace.”
1 Dec
As always, I offer the monthly specials based on my sense of what will most support the coming energies and needs.
December’s family and work gatherings present special challenges for empaths. In addition to all the planetary, cosmic and political energies tipping empathic effects way beyond the usual scale, sensitive people attuned to Mother Earth often feel fires, earthquakes and floods in their own bodies and emotions. Add to this empathing the experiences of so many people who’ve lost their homes or witnessed traumas, and empaths are being asked to find a new balance between compassion and self-care, between “we are all one” and nurturing and protecting our own energy body.
My heart goes out to all of those facing inner and outer challenges this holiday season. Through the “oxygen mask principle,” I hope that directly supporting empaths will allow greater love, energy and peace to radiate in strong waves across our world. Peace in, peace out.
DECEMBER 2018 SPECIAL and GIFT CERTIFICATES:
Energy Protection for Empaths
This 20-minute offering shares tips and techniques specifically tailored to your own energy field and the challenges you face as a “Sensitive” or “Empath” — someone who deeply feels the emotions and energies of others, including the larger collective energies and emotions. Empaths have intuitive, psychic, and healing gifts that can feel more like a curse when faced with discord, negative or disharmonious frequencies like EMF’s, groupthink, or emotional overwhelm.
As someone whose already very thin veil practically disappeared with a 1998 brain injury, I have learned through trial and error, extensive research and over 17 years as a professional Medical Intuitive, how to protect the energy field so that those “gifts” actually live up to their potential. These tips and techniques don’t mean you stop feeling the energies; however, they allow you to recognize more clearly when something’s “yours” and when it’s not. They also help you much more quickly return to peace, soul sovereignty, joy, and allow you to exercise much greater healing influence in your life and in our world.
$77 for the 20 minutes if prepaid on or before 12/31/2018. This session can also be doubled for a 40-minute session at $154. For more information or to sign up, please contact me here.
Gift Certificates:
Each year, people ask if they can gift a session to a loved one. I like to offer a discount to honor the love and care behind this gift. Certificates purchased in 2018 will remain valid through December 31, 2019. Since people always ask me this: no, you may not purchase a gift certificate for yourself. You can, however, request someone else get you a gift certificate. 😉 When you contact me to order a gift certificate, please let me now the name of the person you’re gifting, as well as any details you’d like me to include on the certificate. I’ll create and email you a personalized PDF, which you can email or print out for your loved one.
2018 gift certificates cover any of my services at $99/half hour instead of the usual rate of $133/half hour.

On May 15, 2018, zany, chaotic, high in the sky, liberating Uranus moves into slow, solid, steady, earthy Taurus. Whenever a slow moving planet changes signs, we can expect some major shifts. Some astrologers are predicting the end of the Taurean Bull financial system with a switch to Uranian Bitcoin. Others are predicting earthquakes, both physical and metaphysical. I’m not a doom and gloomer, but in recent sessions, I’m already noticing the lead up to this shift.
The effects depend upon the person, how “stuck” they are or how open to big, liberating changes. Like the Tower card of Tarot, Uranus can answer desperate prayers for change, but how we experience that change depends on our ability to recognize and embrace the answered prayers.
One example would be the person who hates his job, who has long wanted out but can’t find the “how,” suddenly getting fired or having an accident that prevents him from doing that job. (I had some heavy duty Uranus transits at the time of my 1998 car accident that caused a life changing TBI.) A more harmonious version of this same dynamic features the person who senses a needed career change and instead of waiting for the “how” to reveal itself, that person follows a “hop, skip and jump” approach — dead reckoning her way forward via synchronicities and awareness. In response to my very vocal concerns about GMO corn syrup in shelf stable nitrite and MSG filled sausage being marketed as a health food, I was told to contact the manager, which I did. Here’s what happened, and hopefully an illustration that we do not need to cower when something egregious creeps into our awareness. We don’t just need to accept that “this is the way it is.” We can speak up, strongly, and when we do, things can and often do shift. If no one had said anything, then this outcome would not have happened. I’ll still be sending a lot of Reiki to this transition, but I do love it when people step up. It’s a time of clear intentions and walking the talk. Your walk may not be my walk … but it’s a time to match your walk with your talk. I appreciate the opportunity for discussion and change.
UPDATE 2: Successful resolution to this issue! Personal phone call from the manager. The product was pulled, because it was only accidentally ordered in the first place by a relatively new buyer. Training will occur, and if the product cannot be returned, it will be labeled as containing corn syrup, GMO’s and nitrites so that people who don’t read labels are not confused into purchasing it as a health food. The manager also invited me to become a participant in meetings between the Board, management and co-op Members, and he’s posting a response and action steps on the bulletin board at the store. He did explain they need to broaden their customer base by including a wider range of foods that people are requesting; however, he reiterated his commitment to clearly labeling foods that are local, but conventional and if they contain particularly unhealthy ingredients.

More Fukushima article fall-out, but thank you, “Nine,” for opening this line of discussion:

Dearest Jean and dearest Laura….
Is not fear maybe the best “gieger counter”……as it were….
I would think that one would explore what dear Goldwing had to say…..
All I can say is that where I live….and so shh…it is a secret and all I can say is that where I live and all of that land around me is a spiritual place and I will not leave it…..no matter….
The thought of not going outside to commune with such power and beauty is well….not an option for me….
This is the feminine side of things….
The masculine side is saying…..we need to take up arms….to fight…..to protect……..
And so it is a war of the unseen….
Dearest Laura….
Might I quote you?
“I do, however, also occasionally interact with people who don’t even know what Fukushima is, who have no idea why we’d want to avoid GMO’s or even what they are, who think “energy work” involves an electrician, and who live paycheck to paycheck from jobs that don’t require them to think beyond the immediately pressing details of their lives.”
Can I move to where you live? Please tell me where that place is?
Umm…..that is the American condition…..as it were….what you described in that comment…..
And so I totally understand what you are saying….and it is quite true you know…..
I am not calling you on this I am just saying that since this is how things are with many folks could you have pity? I mean upon us for our ignorance…..
I simply have decided to look within for guidance since when I look out I get so confused…..
Oh….and yes great healing comes from within….I have experienced some of this stuff…..
I have few answers….
Nine

I do not pity people, but I do believe in empowering them to help themselves. I live in Goshen, IN where we are actively working to connect schools, soup kitchens, funding for entrepreneurial enterprises for the unemployed and underemployed, churches, homeless shelters, community gardens, community organizations, food banks and Seed to Feed gardens for food banks, co-housing opportunities, and local government together so that we can all share and brainstorm resources to help lift Elkhart County out of the severe (most severe crash in 2008 of anywhere in the US–was on Obama’s campaign trail for that reason alone) poverty that occurred nearly six years ago.
I only moved here in November 2012 to care for my boyfriend’s aging parents, but I am proud to be a part of this community. People care about each other enough to spend their free time learning Spanish so we can communicate better with people who have expressed a need for us to learn their language. People care about each other enough to donate massive amounts of homegrown produce to food banks and the local soup kitchen. Unlike most soup kitchens, this one serves anyone who wants to eat there. Some people pay and some people don’t. It is not considered a stigma to eat there, unlike most soup kitchens.
We are surrounded by Amish people, and most of the people in our town, even if considered way below the poverty line, find time to volunteer and to make music together. A benefit concert this holiday sent over $1,100 directly to Phillipines relief, as well as money to help a local family whose house burned down that same weekend. These were donations from people who don’t have much if any money to spare.
Some know about Fukushima. Others just know about their neighbors and their family. They don’t know what a GMO is. I don’t pity them, because they are some of the purist, most loving people I have ever encountered in 40+ locations all over the US –from Lake Tahoe and Monterey, to New Mexico, Sedona, Chicago, Madison… Oftentimes people here apologize for how their town isn’t fancy or as progressive as California. I tell them what they have here–what we have here– is priceless. So no, I don’t pity people. I do look forward to gardening with them and continuing to help some of the local high school kids whose parents are in jail or other circumstances–to continue helping these amazing kids interact with caring adults in our community. They are great kids who deserve respect, not pity, and they appreciate people who see them as fellow humans despite their differences.
Blessings to you in your sacred land. All land is sacred, as is the delicate realm between human hearts.
