Radio Show Today, Friday, May 25, 2018

Here’s the link and time conversion for today’s radio show. You can listen to the show from anywhere with internet access by clicking here at 1:30 p.m. Eastern this Friday. We’ve talked a lot about Lyme disease, astrology, the soul and life path the past two shows. We go with the flow in these half hour interviews, but today will probably focus more on cultivating creativity and living a more magical and soulful life, even in the so-called “real world.” What small changes can people make to increase positive flow, everyday miracles and positive connection?

For your convenience, the radio time conversion is:

1:30 p.m. Eastern (same as NYC)

12:30 p.m. Central

11:30 a.m. Mountain time

10:30 a.m. Pacific Daylight or Arizona time

16:30 UK time

17:30 in Western Europe and South Africa

7:30 a.m. Hawaii time

1:30 a.m. in Taiwan

and 3:30 a.m. in Sydney, Australia.

If you’re not in those areas, you can still listen at that time, but those are the main regions I know I have blog readers and clients.

Sand Dunes, Lake and Oak

David and I had another magical Saturday getaway, this time to South Haven and Van Buren State Park, with a synchronous stop at Artes and Craft along the way. As mentioned in the Spring 2018 Update, I’m in the midst of some deep inner metamorphosis related to creativity and healing. This will have direct impact on my Metaphysics of Lyme book, as well as any fiction and poetry that pour forth; however, the details of that change remain unavailable for general public sharing. You’ll see the results when they appear.

Meanwhile, I find it amusing that I began taking Star of Bethlehem remedy, then almost immediately realized I needed to formalize my 12 years of astrology studies with an actual mentorship, and then just this past weekend, I stumbled upon a face cream I’ve tried to replace since leaving Chicago in November 2010: a frankincense and myrrh face cream only available in handmade batches in Hyde Park, Chicago. Or so I thought! After some other essentials for my various writing projects appeared, lo and behold, I found the cream!

And so, just to recap, I’ve got Star of Bethlehem, astrology, frankincense and myrrh. Oh, and an upcoming trip to Bethlehem (PA), the first week of April. By my calculations, I’m due for some gold. Just sayin’. 😉

Anyway, that gives you just a sliver of the layers of synchronicity piling up and peeling away these days. As I said in the Spring Update, if I ever do tell these tales, they will need to go in fiction, because few, if any, would believe them as fact. I can share some lovely photos from our South Haven and Van Buren State Park adventure, though. In fact, Continue reading

I walked into my office this afternoon to find “Arthur,” my crystal writing muse, positively glowing.

This is an untouched photo of the afternoon sun hitting an angle I’ve never seen before. Good sign, eh?

Also a quick reminder that Wednesday’s the last day to sign up for February Specials: “Creative Jump-Start” and/or the “Reiki Master Teacher Certification Special.” I’ve certainly experienced a creative jump-start this month. The Metaphysics of Lyme Disease book continues to light up with a new structure, expert contributors, and 40,000 words added since February 1.

Wishing everyone creativity and radiant joy as we move into March with Thursday’s glowing Full Moon.

Timothy Glenn ~ Smoking Hopium

Today we have an excellent post from my long time friend, the astrologer, numerologist and author, Timothy Glenn. On the surface, this article seems to address both Left and Right political Hopium; however, the takeaway message goes much deeper than politics. Like me, Tim supports inner empowerment and creativity. Good things are happening in the external world — yes, even in politics, unless, for some reason, you like human trafficking and pedophilia, which I really hope you don’t!

Yet we have far more influence tending our own gardens, both literal and metaphorical. Beyond the prevailing bad news and false hope exists another, magical paradigm that responds to us in real time and with tangible, verifiable results.

I know so many people living from this inner space, and contrary to doom ‘n’ gloom or empty platitudes, these people keep manifesting dreams come true. As Within, So Without. Carl Jung said, “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light but by making the darkness conscious.” Once we do, though, we can actively “become the change we wish to see in the world.” The Hopi prophecies remind us: “This could be a good time.” Indeed, it is a good time … whenever we align ourselves and make it so. Here’s Tim:

Smoking Hopium

By Timothy Glenn

Proterrian describes hope as “a wimpy substitute for faith.” When people have been beaten down by life, to the point that their faith has been shattered, hope is all they have left. Faith reaches assuredly for the next handhold or foothold, even if unseen. But when hope is the only show in town, it grasps at straws in the wind, like a last gasp of desperation. The best thing that can be said for hope is that it’s better than nothing, because at least it hasn’t chosen total self destruction.

If your faith ever gets reduced to mere hope, it will help if you Continue reading

Reclaiming Roots and a Writing Update

It appears my 2018 word is “Roots.” I’ve been embracing my Celtic roots in ever deeper ways, describing “root issues” as I write a book on the metaphysics of Lyme disease, and on the physical level, I’m preparing for a (root chakra) colon cleanse. During this Imbolc season of release in preparation for Spring’s creativity, I’ve gone deep into my soul soil, planting seeds and watching others sprout. I’ve traced the mycelium and traveled the paths of telepathy and dynamic interconnection.

Learning Welsh

A few weeks ago, I mentioned feeling led to learn Welsh, and indeed, that project continues. In addition to being the language upon which Tolkien based Elvish, Cymraeg (pronounced kum-R EYE G), aka Welsh has opened my mind and soul in unexpected ways. For one, I can finally pronounce most of the names in the Mabinogian — a set of tales that includes early Arthurian legends, along with some of the weirdest myths and magic you’ll ever encounter. February 2018 Specials and Imbolc Energies

Happy Imbolc, Candlemas, Groundhog’s Day and St. Bridget’s Day! Early February is filled with celebrations of light, creativity, and the subtle shift from deep Winter towards early Spring. Yesterday I saw the first tips of a daffodil poking through the soil, along with dandelion flowers on my walk. Despite the chilly temps and grey skies in Michigan, Nature reminds us of the latent burst of color and life hiding beneath the surface.

This month’s specials support the flowering of those latent gifts. The beloved ancient Goddess Brigid (aka Bride, Brighid, Brigantia) who became the Christian St. Bridget traditionally inspired healing, smithcraft and poetry; she was also considered the midwife at Jesus’s birth. What better time to focus on taking creativity and healing to the next level?

FEBRUARY 2018 SPECIALS

$77 Creative Jump-Start

The unusual astrological alignment in February 2018 offers a fantastic time to get creative. Creativity (or rather, blocked creativity) comes up so often in sessions, especially Medical Intuitive Readings. So often, when I mention the need for creative expression, people tell me, “I’m not creative,” or “I used to be creative, but I haven’t done anything like that for 20 years.”

In this 20-minute special, I scan your energy for ways to jump-start your creative process. This might mean focus on an unexpected area, or it might come through as a workable strategy for your lagging creative project. I tailor each session to the individual, so this special will work equally well for people experiencing a total block, as well as for self-identified artists, writers, singers, dancers, jewelry creators, and more.

If you suffer from chronic hormonal imbalance, hot flashes, PMS, neck, throat, thyroid, and/or hearing issues, you might also find a Creative Jump-Start helpful when more normal treatments have failed to yield results.

$77 ($13 savings from the usual 20-minute rate). Offer valid through February 28, 2018. Please contact me to sign up.

$555 Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher Certification Special

I’ve only offered this special once before, but yesterday I received a strong sense to do so again for the month of February 2018. I’m taking $95 off the normal rate for in-person or correspondence/phone/distance training and certification for Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher.

This special obviously does not apply to everyone, as you will need at least Reiki Level 2 Certification from me or another Reiki Master Teacher in order to qualify for the training. I also require a casual but effective application process so that I get a sense of readiness for this next level. 555 indicates divinely guided positive change, so it seems like an appropriate number for certification to teach “divinely directed healing energy,” another definition of Reiki besides “Universal Life Force Energy.”

People considering this special might find this Reiki Master Teacher FAQ post helpful in answering common questions related to discerning your own readiness and our compatibility as teacher and student. You do not need to know for sure you’d like to teach Reiki in order to take this training. You just need to feel ready to learn Reiki from the perspective of one who could teach and who has committed to living the Reiki Principles as much as possible in your own life.

For more than a decade, many students who already received their Reiki Level 3 training from another Reiki Master Teacher have completed their second Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher Certification with me in order to increase their confidence and knowledge before going on to teach their own students. Because many teachers don’t teach others to teach, preparing Reiki Master Teachers to teach their own students has become my specialty. I honor this training process as a sacred journey and transmission.

If you decide you’d like to apply for in-person (in Kalamazoo, MI) or long distance Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher Certification, please contact me, and we’ll start the short application process. The message to post this special was so strong this morning, that I’m excited to see who steps forward. Offer valid if prepaid on or by February 28, 2018.

Druidcast 129 ~ Philip Carr-Gomm on Creativity, Story and Magic

This afternoon, I finally had time to catch up on the December 18, 2017 Druidcast, which includes a question and answer session with Philip Carr-Gomm from the OBOD East Coast Gathering. Interspersed with lovely and haunting music, the discussion explores creativity, inspiration (aka Awen), receptivity, the power of Story, and the ethics and expression of magic, ceremony and cultural sharing — especially looking at Maori and Hindu crossovers with Druidry. Here’s the podcast link for anyone interested in the talk.
