Fall Colors in Fading Light

David and I have guests arriving from Amsterdam on Monday. Half-Dutch David has known Seth for 33 years, since his two years in Amsterdam after college, and they used to visit each other when David flew regularly to Europe for work. They’ve not seen each other in six plus years since David changed jobs, and I’ve never met Seth or his wife Dorothea. We’re all excited for this synchronously manifested time together.

From Monday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22, we’ll use our house as home base for all sorts of day trip adventures, and they’ll pass through again later the following week. All of which means I will have no session availability and very minimal email time for the next week. I will check emails at least once per day, and people can schedule sessions for later this month and into October. I won’t be blogging unless something really nudges me to do so.

I thought I’d leave everyone with a taste of Autumn beauty before the coming Fall Equinox. I know many clients, friends and myself experienced a bittersweet week — a time of rich growth and harvests, but also recognition that with growth comes change. I spent many sessions comforting sobbing clients during the Pisces Moon. Some felt embarrassed or confused by such powerful emotions, while others know they carry multitudes within them. To me, it all felt perfectly timed with the changing seasons here in the Northern Hemisphere.

“This, too, shall pass” is always true, whether joy or pain, spring blossoms, summer fruit, or fall colors and frostbitten plants. When the land goes to sleep in winter, it regenerates itself for spring. Meanwhile, I invite you to enjoy the moment wherever you are. Here’s how things look and feel this late afternoon at Dra’Faven:

Wishing you all a gorgeous week! Enjoy some of that Aries Moon vigor. That Pisces phase was intense! Much love and catch you on the other side of the Equinox …

The Photo Version

As promised, here’s the photo version of ‘Twas the Weekend ‘Fore Autumn:

The Weekend ‘Fore Autumn

‘Twas the weekend ‘fore Autumn and all through the yard,

All the plants were a’thriving, including the chard.

chard

The bees dined on asters; the cushaw had grown.

The mums nearly bursting, the yard freshly mown.

Thai basil hummed purple; eggplants danced in the breeze–

The garden so fragrant, it drew many a sneeze!

Sweet potato vines covered the sides of the trough,

And on sedum and zinnias, butterflies sipped on and off.

For the first time in years, the holly had berries.

Boltonia blossoms delighted the faeries.

As Fall Equinox split the light and the dark,

Those flowers all giggled at anything stark.

The Robinhood roses had been blooming since June–

So hard to believe ‘twould be Halloween soon!

Autumn Equinox 2012–Closer to Fine

What a week of sessions! My heart goes out to everyone struggling to integrate the new energies as the old seems to fall away faster than it’s replaced.

I’m feeling it, too, but for me it feels like such a celebration! Those sticky spots I’ve felt for so long have finally begun to release. Thank you dreams for finding creative ways to circumvent conscious resistance. I awoke this morning after partaking in a “forgiveness ritual” in a dream, which allowed my subconscious (the actively creating part of my existence) to let something go that my conscious mind kept trying to understand. It was a spontaneous, highly symbolic ritual in the dream, and I awoke with joyful lyrics playing in my conscious mind as the commentary: “There’s more than one answer to these questions … closer I am to fine.” My brain just smiled, as I’ve been asking, asking, asking for release from energetic ties to a binding relationship. My guides had assured me release would come, but perhaps in a wilder way than I expected.

As my brain continued smiling, dancing and celebrating the relief, I realized that this Indigo Girls song expresses so much of what has come to light for others in this week’s sessions.

When old hurts arise and all the old methods of dealing with them fall short, it doesn’t mean that you have fallen short. It means the Universe has given you an opportunity and a strong nudge to transcend the original question. No more old paradigm of fixing broken things — what about the new manifestation beyond your wildest, prior permitted imaginings?

“I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountain
There’s more than one answer to these questions
Pointing me in crooked line
The less I seek my source for some definitive
The closer I am to fine.”

As we move from stark duality into a more integrated holistic approach to life in the hologram, we get to reconnect with Nature, each other, Spirit, and, perhaps most poignantly, we get to reclaim our Soul. That process can feel intense, backwards, lonely and inside out, but the journey results in a closer union and an embodied experience that All is Well. On this day of equal light and equal darkness, let us remember and reaffirm the mystic Julian of Norwich’s comforting words: “All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.

Happy Equinox and September Special

Just wanted to wish all my Northern Hemisphere readers a Happy Autumnal Equinox and a cozy entrance into the darker half of our year. I keep dreaming of (and harvesting in real life) pumpkins! I haven’t cracked their code yet, or I suppose I wouldn’t keep dreaming of them in highly symbolic adventures. Cinderella’s magical coach? Fertility? Abundance? I don’t know, but these pumpkins have overgrown my garden and my dream life with instructions like, “Focus on the big pumpkins. Claim your inheritance from the Universe.”

Um … okay! And that’s one of the more normal pumpkin dreams. 🙂

In celebration of the Equinox, I’ll be visiting the same crystal labyrinth I walked for May’s Wesak Full Moon event. Here’s a picture of this magical place:

And me with all the orbs:

Melanie France, the woman who hosts this gorgeous labyrinth, is offering a crystal skull class before the Equinox Walk. I’ll be there and enjoying every moment of it! As a way of sharing my own excitement about this shifting season, I’m offering a special discount for the rest of September.
