Full Moon in Pisces ~ September 20, 2021

Two days before Equinox we’ll have a Full Moon in Pisces. My September 2021 Forecast notes:

September 20 Full Moon in Pisces at 7:55 p.m. Eastern. Like August 22, this is another void of course Moon, also known as a Moon wobble. It occurs in almost the final degree of the zodiac, with Mercury opposite Jupiter at the same time. These alignments make this Full Moon better for meditation than intention. Allow yourself to receive information beyond the boundaries of normal life. You can take action once the Moon moves into Aries — later that night or early the next day, depending on your timezone — but take some quiet time first. What have you learned over the past month? How has your worldview shifted over the past year? Ponder these questions before initiating.

The Sabian Symbol for 29° Pisces looks like the album cover to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.

The Story of Pink Floyd "The Dark Side of the Moon ...

The actual degree of the Full Moon is 28°13′ Pisces, but we always round up for Sabian Symbols. As described by Dane Rudhyar:

(PHASE 359 PISCES 29°): LIGHT BREAKING INTO MANY COLORS THROUGH A PRISM.

KEYNOTE: The analytical power of the mind necessary for the formulation of life processes in their many aspects.

Cycles of existence begin in unity and end in what I have called “multi-unity.” At the stage of consummation the many individual differences are totaled; they constitute a sum. Within that sum — a unified total — the inevitability of the future process of differentiation is implied, because every cycle leaves a mass of waste products slowly returning to the unconscious state of chemical matter, of “humus.” What the symbol tells us is that unity will always break again into multiplicity. The “prism” is always there. There is no absolute unity; if anything could be called “absolute” it is the relationship between the One and the Many.

This fourth stage symbol of the concluding five-fold sequence of phases points to the fundamental type of operation in all modes of existence. The most beautiful and seemingly everlasting experience of unity will in time be superseded by the need to attend to a multiplicity of details. Existence implies DIFFERENTIATION.

I find this description comforting at a time when humanity faces consumption by The Borg. I’m not a Star Trek aficianado, but the idea of The Borg always made sense to me. I could feel that pressure to conform to the hive mind, and I know the media, social media, societal and peer pressure have been operating at full tilt. I don’t imbibe in these, but I hear from clients, and I read the energies. These are difficult times for people committed to living from a place of inner integrity, if that inner intergrity happens to diverge from mainstream anything.

This Full Moon reminds us that all unity eventually differentiates. We both merge and separate into all the colors of the rainbow. No matter how perfect or how authoritarian the conformity, at some point, other options appear. With Mercury opposite Jupiter, we would be wise to observe more than pontificate. Too much optimism or impatience could lead to exaggerated statements that return to haunt us. This is doubly important because the Full Moon conjuncts Neptune — ruler of dreamy Pisces, yes, but also a potential marker for confusion.

It’s better to get things right than to rush ahead “where angels fear to tread.” We might catch glimpses of a (much) bigger picture, but this Full Moon suggests we trust things to evolve and reveal themselves in the light of day. For now, be open, curious, and willing to recognize and acknowledge larger forces in play.

“It takes sunshine and rain to make a rainbow. There would be no rainbows without sunshine and rain.” ~ Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Two days after this Full Moon, the world recalibrates at Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. For one day, the forces of light and dark are balanced, as we move into the sign of Libra, symbolized by the balanced scales of Justice.

It may not always seem obvious, but there is a cosmic order behind the scenes. Beauty, healing and harmony are available. Trust the process. Rainbows are a sign of hope and a promise of better days ahead. When you’re in a storm, remember to look for future rainbows.

September 2021 Forecast and Third Quarter North Node Horoscopes

September 2021 Forecast

September 2021 requires an introspective look with Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all retrograde all month. Mercury stations retrograde in Libra on the 27th. Lawsuits will play a roll this month, whether on personal or collective levels. Things are not as they appear, and this disparity can intensify reactions as we grasp for some sense of control.

Act if and when you feel led, but also take the time you need in order to feel balanced and whole. As Charles Dickens said, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” It’s OK to focus on devotion, harmony and beauty. It’s also OK to demand justice for yourself and others. When in doubt, ask for higher guidance and support. These are available and highly recommended!

Some highlights this month include:

September 2 Mars in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces. It feels tempting to wallow in discouragement, disillusion and feelings of futility, but something beautiful can come of this time. Deceptions become more obvious, along with a desire to fight for truth. Still, “the fog of war” remains in full effect. If you feel weary and confused, honor this as a collective time of things falling apart. When you don’t know what to do, remember your spiritual side. Pray, imagine, send Reiki, create something lovely and harmonious. In a spiritual battle, such actions do far more than you may think.

September 6 New Moon in Virgo at 8:52 p.m. Eastern, trine Uranus. A harmonious trine of Sun/Moon and Uranus within 0°01′ from exact, marks this grounded New Moon with an extra dose of innovation and liberation. Pay special attention to intuition. Uranian insights arrive like a bolt of lightning. Surprising events could shake up the status quo. Recommended mantra: “If not this, then something better.”

September 10 Venus enters Scorpio. Passion intensifies in romantic relationships, and with regard to deeply held values and self esteem. Intimate desires and issues come to the forefront, as do concepts of “tough love” and “revenge.” Beware the Scorpion’s sting. The next month asks us to address shame through the healing power of love. Honor your emotions, and explore the possibility of commitment.

September 15 Mars enters Libra. Between now and October 30, Mars inhabits the sign ruled by Venus. Opposite the Mars ruled sign Aries, Libra focuses on love, beauty, balance, Justice, compromise and partnership. Although Mars doesn’t feel at home here, this transit might dial back some of the warlike posturing in so many areas these days. Staying balanced will require work, so take time each day to breathe, pray, do yoga, walk — whatever you need to feel supported and integrated.

September 17 Sun trine Pluto. Depending on your timezone, the exact trine could occur on the 16th. In any case, this short transit favors deep investigation, passion, and exploring hidden realms. It also sheds light on narcissists, the plutocracy, and issues of “Power To” or “Power Over.” Which actions empower? Which actions abuse power? In the case of a trine, these issues feel intense and volcanic, but the energies support solutions. We might see a rebalance of power between victims and abusers. Sunlight is a disinfectant, and it turns vampires to dust. Turn on the light, and cockroaches scurry away. Find some symbolic (or literal) way to reclaim your own power and dignity.

September 22 Sun enters Libra. Fall Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. An opportunity to re-balance the scales of Justice. This same day, Mercury squares Pluto, forcing new revelations and understanding of hidden and Shadow topics. Overall, a potent day and possible hinge point to a new reality.

September 26 Grand Trine in Air. This harmonious event features Mars in Libra, Moon in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius. A Grand Trine in Air invites cool headed assessment, deal making, and innovation. The Sun in early Libra and North Node in early Gemini amplify the energies of light and collective recalibration. Air represents the mental realm. In this time of heightened emotions, use this day to step back a bit. Remove yourself from the fray and connect the dots. Which thoughts and actions calm your emotions? What brings you true security? What does “responsible action” involve? A wonderful day to explore the power of positive thinking and the Law of Attraction.

September 27 Mercury stations retrograde. This also occurs with Libra Sun trine Gemini North Node. The signature of this Mercury Rx involves new light and understanding of Justice, cooperation, communication and the collective destiny. Review and reevaluate these themes in your own life. How does your micro intersect with the macro world?

September 29 Sun in Libra trine Saturn in Aquarius. The month ends with a strong call to balance top down authority, targeted rebellion, and cooperation. Explore the bright sides of fatherhood/patriarchy, leadership, tradition, and structure. This exploration is extra important if you normally reject these things. Everything offers positives and negatives. With the Sun shining harmoniously on Saturn, we can open our eyes to new foundations and available support.

How September’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events. That’s because your North Node reveals what your soul came here to do. By midlife, the soul starts longing and pressing us to live our true purpose. At first, it whispers through intuition. Then it knocks a little louder through “coincidences” and external events. When not heard and honored, the soul’s longing can show up as health crises, marriage or work issues, or wondering “is this all there is?” If you feel a need to reinvent yourself, following North Node guidance helps you do that authentically — for you.

Unlike generic Sun Sign horoscopes, which ignore so many other aspects, following North Node guidance will always lead you in the right direction. Doors open, healing happens, relationships improve, and life gets more magical. This monthly column will help you tap into your personal North Node Mojo. When you start living your North Node purpose, we all win, because you not only begin to light up your own life. You light up the world.           – Laura

You can find your North Node sign here which is often different than your Sun sign. (If you’re right on a cusp, consider both options, or book a reading for more clarity.)

THIRD QUARTER 2021 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 offers a chance for rebirth. With wounded healer Chiron still transiting Aries, Pluto still squaring from Capricorn, Saturn sextiling from Aquarius, and Venus and the Sun in Libra (your South Node), this quarter could feel intense. Add to that the supportive activation from the transiting nodal axis, and Aries North Node natives will feel pressured to release, heal and move forward. “Intense” does not mean “negative.” Your Libra South Node interprets intensity as “bad,” but this is not the case for you. Aries thrives on intensity and challenge. You yearn to find better ways to get ahead — financially, in your health, in relationships, and in any latent goal. Own that ambition! You can transform desire into courage. Allow yourself to want and seek. This will feel unnatural or even “wrong” sometimes, but your soul desires more individuation this lifetime. When you take necessary action, you empower others to live in more authentic ways for them. They may learn to do things themselves, or develop other partnerships that meet their needs. You do you. Co-dependence hobbles you and makes you miserable. Aim for excellence and let the chips fall where they may. Make room for pleasant surprises.

TAURUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 turns up the heat on Taurus North Node natives. In addition to a seven year stay of revolutionary Uranus in Taurus, squares from Aquarius and Leo add friction to your nodal axis. Questions will arise about where you’re headed and where you’ve been. Expect some changes in the way you think about the world, but these new energies will work to your benefit. We live in unprecedented times. Your North Node sign asks you to ground lightning strikes of inspiration and radical change into solid, grounded, Earth-loving pursuits. When in doubt, always come back to the Earth Element. Your Scorpio South Node PTSD might feel triggered this quarter, but you’re not here to crash and burn. You came here to live well. You already know about loss and recovery. Your soul wants to experience hope and the rewards of slow, steady movement “as if.” It’s OK to plan for your future. Find ways to build a sense of safety and security. Nurture growth. Your sign’s ruler, Venus, will transit Libra — the other sign she rules — from August 16-September 10, 2021. This transit empowers Venus, and her energies will quincunx your North Node. Make the most of this energy by creating or enjoying more beauty around your home and body.

GEMINI NORTH NODE: As the transiting North Node continues to move through Gemini, the stars align to get you back on path. Your experiences link closely to the collective right now. It might help to ponder the phrase, “As Within, So Without.” Do this with curiosity, not judgment. Your Sagittarius South Node can easily slip into the blame game, and that saps your energy. You can bring the best of the past into a new form in the present. This intense North Node Return every 18 years or so works in your favor. Whatever or whoever falls away does so because they’re not on path for you. “If not this, then something better” is not just a catch phrase. It becomes a guiding force when the transiting North Node passes through your sign. July encourages you to get grounded. This will improve your health and confidence. If you feel like taking a time out in August, follow that nudge. The dog days of summer make for good siestas or even a mini road trip. With a Gemini North Node, you don’t need to go far away to “get away.” Little trips shift your perspective and give a quick recharge. You’ll also save money, so small adventures allow more frequent forays. Above all, you need to add some fun into your life. Don’t get hung up on what’s supposed to be fun. Just focus on little moments of delight.

CANCER NORTH NODE: This quarter starts strong for Cancer North Node natives, with the Sun shining light in Cancer until July 23. The New Moon in Cancer on July 9-10 offers a karmic reset to help you plan for your future. Nostalgia may arise. Seek to balance the best of the past while also acknowledging where you’ve outgrown it. Allow yourself to daydream a little, then spin those fantasies into action. Uranus continues to sextile mid-Cancer from Taurus, bringing an urge to purge, in preparation for the softer side of life. Instead of judging yourself, experiment with viewing yourself in a new light: fresh, innocent. What qualities are you midwifing into being? You’ll recognize balance by how contracted or expansive you feel. Sometimes contractions trigger birth, so pay attention to emotional messages behind any apparent restrictions. Look for overall trends rather than freaking out if you feel the need to readjust. Shifting focus or needing support does not denote failure. Cancer North Node natives need to find a balance between loneliness or over-responsibility for others vs. cozy cooperation. If something stretches your comfort zone, lean into vulnerability. Share your limitations and ask for help. That stiff upper lip no longer serves you.

LEO NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 ramps up your positive North Node activations. Think “mastery.” Hone your craft and embrace those talents. July invites you to deepen your sense of purpose. Find a balance between form and function. Something should look and sound good, but it also needs to work! Full commitment will yield more satisfying results. Increased love of self and others pervades August. Your hard work in relationships begins to pay off as you integrate masculine and feminine, active and passive energies within yourself. Follow your heart, Leo. It leads you well. Take pride in your appearance, too. Really, you are worth it. September brings a chance to “level up” in all areas. Accept opportunities to dance in the spotlight — metaphorical or otherwise. Give yourself permission to engage anything that makes your heart smile. Earlier efforts bear fruit, and it tastes sweeter when you love who you are and what you do. Leo North Node natives know how to tap into the Aquarian energies of 2021 while adding just the right pizzazz. Don’t be afraid to stand out. It’s your destiny.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: This quarter reminds Virgo North Node natives to focus your mind on what you do want, then follow through with whatever steps you can take right now. When you mentally link something under your influence to something beyond your control, the tiniest shifts can start a chain reaction. Beware of your tendency to carry everyone else’s burden. Sometimes that weight grows too heavy. Practice discernment about which tasks are really essential, versus ones that only seem to fall to you. Your Pisces South Node surrenders to it all, whether or not you like it, and whether or not that fits who you’re becoming. Virgo sometimes earns a reputation of being too critical, but your life path requires you to decide what you do or do not want to experience. You don’t need to accept it all; in fact, you’re not supposed to. You don’t need to be all things to everyone. Boundaries allow you to frame relationships in ways that benefit all involved, including you. Use September’s New Moon in Virgo to clear the miasma. When in doubt, check in with your body. What does it tell you about this situation or relationship? Follow your body’s lead, then check in with your mind. When in doubt, the physical and mental realms guide you better than emotions or a too passive spiritual approach.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 invites you to “pay it forward.” Think “random acts of kindness” and even “service done in secret.” It’s not about personal accolades or taking credit. You’ll find extra satisfaction when you balance scales without making a big deal of it. As the transiting North Node, Saturn and sometimes Jupiter continue to trine your North Node sign, use this quarter to reassess how you give and receive. Venus, your sign ruler, graces Libra from August 16-September 10, 2021. Allow yourself to revel in beauty, harmony and creativity. You don’t always need to fight your way through. You can use your inner fire as a creative spark that brings into being more of the things you love. If you relax from trying to push so far ahead, you’ll find yourself on higher ground, and in good company. As Buckminster Fuller said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” Supportive energy from Aquarius makes you more innovative than usual. Look for partnerships that bring out the best in each of you. When you focus on grace, ease and love, you elevate life from mere survival to something exquisite.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: Use this quarter to focus on feeling safe, secure and discreet. If the world seems like too much right now, then allow yourself a quiet retreat. Take five minutes — or five days — to focus on the cycle of your breath. In, then out, then in, then out. Ride the wave of the breath, and allow it to carry you to distant shores. If you feel trapped, ask to recognize the root of your illusions, and to see your way forward. You’re in a phase of friction, with intense energies squaring your nodal axis. Squares feel uncomfortable, but they produce results! Work these energies to your own advantage. Intuition serves you well, so pay attention. Whenever you see a “problem,” intend to recognize and receive the solution. Sometimes relief will come through other people, and that’s OK. Sometimes you’ll find relief through a deeper connection with your own unconscious or a mystical encounter with the Divine. Your soul wants you to realize how much support you really have. Much of this support comes from the invisible plane, but it does exist. Get in touch with your passions. Who or what gives you courage? Step into your own power by honoring the depth of your experience. Affirm to yourself, “I am strong.” Because you are.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 urges you to take the best of the past in preparation for a joyful, wise and strong future. As the transiting North Node continues to move through Gemini, you might feel 180 from most people you know. As always — but especially now — your inner guidance will lead you in better directions than mainstream anything. Deepen your connection with kindred spirits, and take time to dance instead of just plodding through life. When the urge for introspection arises, trust that this, too, is necessary and right for you. The transiting South Node, karmic Saturn and wounded healer Chiron bring a “fated” feeling to your encounters. This past year through December 2021 offers subtle (and sometimes dramatic) course corrections. Look back nine and eighteen years ago for insights into potential upgrades from old patterns. Who or what makes you feel strong? In which ways do you inspire and uplift others? Shine light in dark places. Your spirit soars when you find a philosophy of life that calms the chatter. If you feel overwhelmed by “monkey mind,” then mantra meditation can help. Pick a word or phrase in English, Sanskrit or whatever language triggers an expansive heart. Repeat, and ride into the zone.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: By late September, what seems like a loss in July will have revealed itself as a cosmic course correction. 2020’s intense dismantling, troubleshooting and restructuring prepared you to weather whatever storms arise. You can lean into your Cancer South Node intuition, but avoid getting lost in your emotions. Take a practical perspective, assessing what works and what doesn’t. Use the sword of truth to cut through confusion and maintain your integrity. Saturn rules Capricorn, and he’s the cosmic taskmaster. With Lord of the Underworld Pluto still in your North Node sign, Wounded Healer Chiron squaring from Aries, and all the July activity in Cancer, you’re not off the hook yet. Pay attention to anything that feels fated. This quarter might seem intense, but you can work these energies to your advantage. When in doubt, opt for “most efficient and functional.” Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty if you make delicious lemonade out of lemons. If your lemonade stand gains accolades, know that you deserve these. Nourish your skin this quarter, and do something to improve your posture. Practicing victory pose builds confidence and helps you step more into a leadership role.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: Third Quarter 2021 brings an unusual two Full Moon’s in Aquarius, adding extra energy to Saturn and Jupiter’s foray there. Your South Node also gets triggered by all the activity in Leo. Pay attention to encounters that seem fated. Some offer opportunities for new connection and collaboration, but just as many could involve release of old energies and karmic ties. Look back to mid-February 2021 to see which energies arose around the time of the New Moon in Aquarius. That was a super Aquarian time, and you’ve had six months to integrate those alignments. Take time to reflect on all the elements coming together. Who are you becoming? With Saturn retrograde in Aquarius until October 10, Third Quarter 2021 might still feel unfinished or restrained. Use this time to innovate and tinker with your “plans.” Whenever the North Node gets frequent or persistent hits, we feel the hand of destiny orchestrating events. Your ego might not like that, but your soul appreciates this course correction. Align your inner compass for the next 18 years.

PISCES NORTH NODE: This quarter begins with both of your North Node sign’s co-rulers in Pisces. Jupiter remains in Pisces until July 28, when he moves into Aquarius and then returns to Pisces on December 28. Neptune’s here for the long haul. Jupiter and Neptune make for extra strong Pisces energy, emphasizing beauty faith, and healing. July offers an introspective preview of 2022, so take notes on what you love and what you’d love to experience in more harmonious ways. When planning for your future, always leave room for the Great Mystery with a capital M. Your Virgo South Node wants to know what’s next — along with all the how’s — but that attitude leads to misery. You’ll feel more inspired, grounded and abundant when you prioritize the spiritual and emotional above the material and mental. August could challenge you with continued squares from the transiting nodal axis, as well as quincunx energy from Leo. Whenever you feel worried or discouraged, start a gratitude list. Your Virgo South Node loves lists! A gratitude list not only gives you something to do, it also reminds you of a much larger story unfolding through your life. Quiet power is still power. Allow the still, small voice to guide and soothe.

January 28 Full Moon in Leo

My January forecast notes:

The Full Moon in Leo arrives on January 28 at 2:16 p.m. Eastern. This Full Moon gets amplified by Jupiter conjuncting the Sun in Aquarius. Jupiter expands, so this Full Moon gets extra oomph, while also squaring volatile Mars conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Venus now meets Pluto, suggesting shifts in romance, relationships, arts, values and beauty. Relationships could end or deeply transform at this time. Focus on true intimacy and the regenerative power of love.

AstroButterfly gives a nice write-up describing the powerful T-square among the Sun/Jupiter in Aquarius, the Full Moon in Leo and Mars in Taurus. Given various dreams with a recurring T-square symbol or emphasis, I’m paying attention! You can click here to read the AstroButterfly write-up. It emphasizes the heart, a big Leo theme, and one I’m also paying attention to because this Full Moon at 9° Leo occurs very close to my own progressed Venus.

Speaking of Venus, the conjunction of Venus and Pluto at 25° Capricorn brings depth and intimacy to relationships, possibly bringing deeper commitment and beauty. Some things will become undeniable, as Venus, Goddess of Love, runs cleanup crew to all those earlier planets moving through Capricorn and conjuncting Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth. The Sun-Jupiter conjunction at the same time of the Full Moon T-square and this intense Venus-Pluto contact suggests some kind of blessing. Ask to recognize and receive the blessing(s), because with all those intense energies, you might be tempted to look the other way.

One of the biggest things I notice about this Full Moon is that the asteroid Hygiea conjuncts the Full Moon at 9° Leo. In mythology, Hygiea was one of the daughters of Asclepius, the father of medicine. Hygiea deals with hygiene, but also “preventative medicine.” As we continue in the miasma of ongoing astro energies — including Neptune squaring the collective nodal axis — we would be wise to ask ourselves, “What kind of preventative medicine can I employ in my life?” Neptune squaring the collective nodal axis brings confusion about where we’ve been and where we’re headed — as a collective. We can’t know the exact outcome or how we got where we find ourselves right now, but we can strengthen and support our health, on all levels.

Which healthy habits keep you balanced? What conversations might help with emotional balance in relationships? Is it time for a cleanse of some sort? Would you benefit from a salt water bath, or more fresh veggies and green juices?

The Sabian Symbol for Hygiea and this Full Moon is 10° Leo (always round up unless it’s exactly the degree and 00′). According to Dane Rudhyar:

PHASE 130 (LEO 10°): EARLY MORNING DEW SPARKLES AS SUNLIGHT FLOODS THE FIELD.

KEYNOTE: The exalted feeling that rises within the soul of the individual who has successfully passed through the long night which has tested his strength and his faith.

You can read more by clicking here. To me, this underscores that blessings are available if we lean into the energies of this Full Moon. Explore and honor our deepest feelings, trust our hearts, clear out the crud, and prepare for “Transfiguration.” That’s the final keyword of this degree. 11:11 a.m. as I type this!

Transfiguration refers to a powerful transformation event, and it has religious overtones. In Christianity, “Transfiguration” refers to Jesus on the mountain, when he becomes “radiant in glory” in front of his disciples. The Full Moon occurs right at this “Transfiguration point,” and it’s a Full Moon opposite the Sun (light) conjunct Jupiter (king/expands everything he touches) in a T-square to Mars (personal will), while Venus (love) conjuncts Pluto (the Shadow and the depths) — all while Hygiea offers preventative healing to “the soul of the individual who has successfully passed through the long night which has tested his strength and his faith.”

I can’t say exactly what this means for everyone (Neptune’s still squaring the collective nodal axis!) … but it feels powerful and holy. Something big is going on throughout all these long, slow, intense transits punctuated by potent conjunctions and the ebb and flow of the Moon. Take some time in the coming days to commit more deeply to your own healing and radiance.

Mars Conjunct Uranus and Black Moon Lilith in Taurus ~ January 20-21

You don’t need to be an astrologer to recognize the powerful, intense, chaotic energies in play right now. AstroButterfly does a great job putting these energies into context, and you can read that post by clicking here. My January Forecast mentioned:

Expect high tensions and emotions, and use whatever tools you have to become the calm within the storm. Those with cool heads and focused attention can benefit from chaos. Prepare yourself to seize any rare opportunities. Also on January 20, Mars exactly conjuncts Uranus in Taurus. The sign of Taurus tempers some of the volatility of this meeting, but expect the unexpected. Some unusual solution or non-conformist willpower may upset the status quo. Preparation allows you to work these transits to your advantage.

Two factors amp up the normal volatility of Mars conjunct Uranus: an additional conjunction with Black Moon Lilith and a square by Jupiter in Aquarius. Lilith was Adam’s first wife, who refused to submit, including sexually. Uranus is the Cosmic Rebel, Mars the Warrior, and Jupiter expands everything he touches.

Uranus rules rebel Aquarius, where Jupiter blows revolutionary wind and friction towards all that action in Taurus. Venus, Goddess of Love, rules Taurus, that earthy sign of the body, the tangible, physical, financial and beautiful. Venus/Taurus also play a role in self-esteem. Desire for liberation at all costs will huff and puff from multiple directions. Finding ways to ground that energy into love and self-respect will ease your experience of these powerful energies.

Sometimes considered a “minor” aspect, Black Moon Lilith shows up in situations of abuse, especially sexual abuse, hysteria, trauma, reproductive issues, and autoimmune reactions. Uranus intensifies and goads on Lilith’s reactive energy and her refusal to submit to abusive situations. If you find these energies rising in or around you, remember that we can consciously choose to experience the archetypes and energies on different levels.

Towards the end of the post “Mars Conjunct Uranus ~ I See RED,” AstroButterfly notes that the Sabian Symbol for the Mars-Uranus Conjunction is “The Woman of Samaria.” Dane Rudhyar’s meditation on this symbol (copied below) blows me away in its synchronicity with current energies. Few women in the Bible so well personify both the negative and positive potential of Black Moon Lilith. Read from a mystical perspective, this passage reveals deep, transformative and healing opportunities on offer.

Be gentle with yourself, and keep your eyes, ears, and hearts peeled for whispers of kindness, grace and a new reality. You can read more Dane Rudhyar Sabian Symbols here. During these powerful — in some ways unprecedented times — I feel this energy is important to share in full context here. It’s difficult and unwise to ignore the intense archetypes vying for freedom and control, but we can ALWAYS choose to experience archetypes on different levels. A mystical eye finds blessings that the physical eyes may miss:

PHASE 37 (TAURUS 7°): THE WOMAN OF SAMARIA AT THE ANCESTRAL WELL.

KEYNOTE: The meeting of the traditional past and of the creative spirit pointing to the future.

The symbol refers to a most important, but usually narrowly interpreted (or interpreted away!) episode of the Christ mythos. Early in his ministry, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at an ancestral well. This woman belongs to a tribe despised by the Jews; moreover, she is unmarried and therefore on the fringe of even her own society. It is to just that kind of woman that Jesus reveals that he is the Messiah: “I am He,” a revelation that he apparently will not bestow even upon his disciples, at least not in words. (Words in occultism are the creative factor.)

What does this mean? Jesus, as the Avatar incorporating the Christ-Impulse, came to replace the old tribal order with a new order based on universal Love. It is not to representatives of, or even to men still attached to, the old order that Jesus could reveal his spiritual, evolutionary and society-transforming status; they had instead to reach a point where they could discover his avatar-ship – as did Peter just before the Transfiguration scene. But to the woman of Samaria – who, in her openness to love’s urgings, had already repudiated any narrow subservience to the old order – Jesus could reveal his function. The highest meets the lowest when this lowest is free from traditional bonds and open to love. The creative future descends first to that which has become chaos. An old order is never open to a new Revelation until it has accepted disorder in the name of that Power which subsumes all forms of order, i.e. Love.

In this second stage of the five-fold sequence, a contrasting element enters upon the scene. It is no longer a collective-cultural effort based on past knowledge — as in the preceding symbol — but a “meeting” that introduces into the collective situation a totally new factor which transcends it. A NEW QUALITY OF BEING is revealed which renders the old patterns obsolete.

December 2020 Forecast and North Node Horoscopes

DECEMBER 2020 FORECAST

This year sprints to the finish line with as much intensity as January 2020 ushered in. We began the year with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer on January 10, followed by a monumental one-time exact conjunction between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn on January 12. Although these two planets come together every 37 years or so, the last Saturn-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn triggered the Protestant Reformation. In other words, it was a big, cosmic deal! With long lasting effects. The energy of this meeting carried throughout the year with near almost-meetings between Saturn and Pluto. Jupiter’s journey through Capricorn in 2020 only magnified the impact.

December 2020 echoes January 2020 because on Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and the day the Sun moves into Capricorn — Jupiter and Saturn come together at 0 degrees Aquarius. Then, a little over a week later on the 29th, we have a rare second Full Moon in Cancer this year. In layman’s terms, this is like a Blue Moon on steroids.

Without getting too technical, the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction on December 21 ushers in a new Age of Air after a 200-year Age of Earth. We’re talking about a seismic energy shift for the collective. This second Full Moon in Cancer occurs with very precise links to the collective North Node destiny point and Jupiter’s positions during the first Full Moon in Cancer. You can think of this as the dramatic bold print and highlighter of emotions. Feelings that flickered through and were repressed (eclipsed) during the January 10 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will be undeniable on and after December 29.

History will continue unpacking 2020 for a long time to come — especially the ways it affected our personal, private, home lives vs. authority, leaders and traditional structures.

A dreamy, sweet spot for the month occurs on December 5, when Venus makes a supportive trine to Neptune. The Love Goddess flashes her dazzling smile on the planet of Higher Love. This is a great day for creative projects, romance and compassion. Enjoy the energies, as we’ll need them amidst another intense month after many intense months.

December 14 brings a New Moon in Sagittarius and a Total Solar Eclipse. The last eclipse of the season demands communication about old patterns and the way things have been. Some of the revelations will feel dark and heavy, but at least they’re up for collective discussion. Communication can heal, especially when discussing formerly secret, dysfunctional and abusive things. Most New Moons offer a kind of monthly reset; this one offers a “never again” kind of reset. Clarity about what truly needs to change in order for humanity to embrace its true destiny and best path forward.

Overall, December 2020 will feel intense, but also like a culmination to an extremely intense and productive year. Take some time to ponder all the ways you made it through. This year was a huge learning opportunity, and those don’t always feel fun. It’s final exam time. We’re not finished learning, but 2020 has been a significant step in human evolution. Allow yourself to celebrate your own strength and ability to learn and implement new things. Whether you did so willingly or kicking and screaming, you changed a lot this year. Give credit where credit’s due.

How December 2020’s sky weather affects you will vary, depending on your entire natal chart, but your North Node Horoscope transcends monthly sky events.

DECEMBER 2020 NORTH NODE HOROSCOPES

ARIES NORTH NODE: December is the last full month Aries ruler Mars will be in his home sign. Mars usually spends only six weeks in each sign, but a long retrograde had him activating your North Node sign from June 27, 2020 until January 6, 2021. That’s ten times the activation of a normal Mars transit. Now that Mars is moving forward again, you can expect more clarity and vigor regarding destiny level urges and desires. Beginning December 21, the Sun will shine light on your nodal axis — where your soul has been and where you’re headed. Remember, a small shift in perspective allows you to change frustration and anger into determination. Summon the energy to complete something before the end of the year. It doesn’t need to be a big thing, but finishing a commitment will make you feel better about all of 2020. Release something you no longer need on the 29th’s Full Moon. It’s been a long year: time to move on!

TAURUS NORTH NODE: This is a powerful, dramatic month for Taurus North Node natives. Allow yourself the time to process change. Even positive change requires integration. Justice and a sense of completion are themes for this last month of the year. Take stock of what you’ve acquired in 2020. Skills, tools, surroundings: it all matters. You are learning to build and celebrate a better world. This creation takes time, and that’s OK. Slow, steady shifts are less traumatic and more sustainable. Take the long term view. Even if your year feels incomplete, note whatever has run its course. If you look for them, you’re bound to find areas where you’ve made solid progress. No one else knows what kind of inner transformation it took for you to make those steps. Spend some quiet time puttering and arranging things the way you like them. You have time now. Events will ramp up in January.

GEMINI NORTH NODE: If you’ve felt trapped by illusions, reaching for the light in a long, dark tunnel, the good news is that it’s always darkest before the dawn. Gemini North Node natives have felt a lot of pressure this Fall, more so than most signs. With the transiting North Node moving through your sign and reordering life according to destiny, plus quincunx demands from Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn, it may have felt like you “can’t catch a break” and “where’s your happy ending?” On December 17 and 19, heavyweights Saturn then Jupiter move into fellow Air Sign Aquarius, heralding a new Age of Air after 200 years of Earth energy. Change takes time to integrate, but Gemini North Node natives are here to embrace and revel in change. Yes, you can twist and turn and even dance your way to happier times. Allow some of that zany Aquarian energy to shake up your routines and anything stuck. Aquarius and Gemini are great friends. Keep going. More compatible companions and energies are on the way.

CANCER NORTH NODE: The biggest events in December for Cancer North Node natives are the Winter Equinox/Saturn/Jupiter conjunction on December 21st, and the Full Moon at 10:28 p.m. Eastern time on the 29th. Winter Equinox marks the transition from Sun into your South Node sign of Capricorn, where for the next 30 days, it will highlight old issues, relationship patterns and expectations. As the Sun sheds light on these areas, you’ll need to remind yourself to remain open to emotions. There is a surprising strength in vulnerability. This is the Second Full Moon in Cancer in 2020, and this “Long Night’s Moon” asks you to evaluate how you’ve changed since January. What endings brought new beginnings? In which ways did life challenge you to give more freely? How did life restructure itself in support of softer, more heartfelt priorities? 2020 was a challenging year. Be sure to claim the reward for your hard work.

LEO NORTH NODE: If you’ve been waiting for your ships to arrive, continue to have faith that good, new things are on the horizon. The Universe wants you to succeed. Sometimes it just takes patience in order for things to turn your way. What makes you feel young at heart? Fill some of your waiting time by doing more of those things. Leo’s need to play. Jupiter and Saturn are moving into your South Node sign in mid-December. Resist tendencies to get too serious, group-oriented or emotionally detached. You need to live from a place of joy and natural instinct. Get off your electronic devices for a good stretch each day! Step away from your desk and social media. You’ll feel more emotionally grounded if you get into your body and out in nature. Take advantage of the first three weeks of December as the Sagittarius Sun shines supportive light on your destiny and business ventures. Pay attention to passion and desires that arise, and give yourself permission to pursue them.

VIRGO NORTH NODE: Maintain mental clarity this holiday season by minimizing any tendencies to zone out with sugar or alcohol. You’re much stronger and more grounded when you stick to diet and exercise. You can ease up on intensity, but don’t get too far off track. You’ll feel so much better if you eat healthy foods and make time to meditate, walk or run. Modify your routine rather than throwing it out. For you, it’s much easier to keep a good thing going than to crawl out of a bad habit again and again. Give yourself the gift of strength, and don’t be afraid to live a life of true abundance. Focus on grounded support — both giving and receiving. You have an ability to inspire others through your own discipline. When you live your best self, you model what’s possible for others. You can make the mundane sacred by devoting yourself to life’s little details.

LIBRA NORTH NODE: In mid-December, Saturn and Jupiter join forces in fellow Air Sign Aquarius, finally offering expansive and supportive energy to Libra North Node natives. Just having these two heavyweights out of Capricorn will feel like a relief. Meanwhile, the transiting North Node continues trining Libra from Air Sign Gemini. Instead of feeling so pushed and pressed, Libra North Node natives will start feeling some wind beneath their wings: success and rejuvenation on a destiny level. Just remember that victories taste sweeter when shared with others. Uplift and inspire by partnering with those who may not have your courage or confidence. Find balance in all things, especially in the active and receptive. When in doubt, err on the side of a little too much generosity. Reach out and make someone’s day by showing them you care.

SCORPIO NORTH NODE: If you feel stuck or unable to let go of emotions, or situations in your life, try moving out physical items. ‘Tis the season for giving. Do you really need all of that old stuff?! Belongings hold energy. If you haven’t used it or looked at it in five years, can you think of someone who could? When you give away that which no longer serves, you open room for the kind of abundance you do need. Is it health? Emotional support? A sense that your day will finally arrive? When you recognize such abundance that you can give some away, you move from a space of lack to one of receiving that which you truly need. If you put your faith in externals beyond your control, you will never feel secure. Practice surrendering to a Higher Power. Cultivate an ability to recognize that which remains eternal amidst constant change. Thou art that.

SAGITTARIUS NORTH NODE: The Sun’s in your sign for three weeks. Enjoy the clarity it offers as the collective South Node continues bringing up old patterns and relationships for review. This focus on old relationships intensifies mid-month with a New Moon Total Solar Eclipse on December 14. Love Goddess Venus enters Sagittarius the very next day, bringing grace, beauty and self-esteem. Count your blessings this month and aim to reclaim the best of the old while sparking new passion and zest for life. Be bold and wear red. ‘Tis the season to bring the light and bright to darker, heavier energies. People turn to you for the unvarnished truth. You know more than you think you do. Choose one area where you’d like to deepen your studies and experience. If you’ve been going stir crazy with travel restrictions, find a way to satisfy that urge. Road trip to Air BnB’s, watch travel videos, or read a novel set where you want to go. Reignite your sense of adventure.

CAPRICORN NORTH NODE: Jupiter and Saturn finish their journey through Capricorn, with Saturn moving to Aquarius on the 17th, followed by Jupiter on the 19th. Saturn won’t return to his home sign of Capricorn until 2048, so git ‘er done! On Winter Solstice, December 21, when Jupiter and Saturn meet in Aquarius, the Sun moves into Capricorn, shining light on your North Node sign for the next month. Pay attention to any insights you receive on or around the Full Moon on the 29th. Use this time to assess how you’ve changed this year. What new structures and foundations have you built? How have you re-balanced any tendencies to over-give? How has your health improved by setting boundaries and managing your emotions? Continue focusing on best of the old while ushering in improvements and upgrades. Cultivating an awareness of two worlds will help you navigate big events with greater ease. When you partner with the guiding force of the Universe, life becomes a dance.

AQUARIUS NORTH NODE: On December 17, Saturn moves into Aquarius, followed by Jupiter on the 19th and their Great Conjunction on Winter Solstice. This change in the winds begins to activate destiny level shifts in your North Node sign. Jupiter will expand and supercharge Aquarius for 12 months, while Saturn remains for 2.5 years. As Father Time and Lord of Karma, Saturn has a special relationship with the North Node. You might feel a cosmic “ahem,” urging you to evaluate where you’re on path and where you need to adjust your approach. Yours is an innovative sign. If you feel pressured or restricted, ask, “What am I missing?” and “I wonder what solutions I’m about to find?” Some of these solutions will probably seem counter-intuitive, but a higher order guides your process.  Now would be a good time to explore your natal chart or deepen astrology studies. Carve out time for “flighty” pursuits and things that “float your boat.” A zany new interest could change your life in profound ways.

PISCES NORTH NODE: If you catch yourself worrying about things beyond your control, close your eyes and allow yourself to feel the emotions. Getting stuck in your head doesn’t serve you. As Helen Keller said, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched — they must be felt with the heart.” Tune into the magic and childlike wonder of this season. Creative pursuits bring delight, and so do children. If you can’t spend the holidays in person with younger loved ones, try some other means of connection. Remember to balance external obligations with your internal needs. You’ll move through life more efficiently if you take some time each day to mediate and/or center yourself. This month could bring friction in relationships and questions of your own self-value. You have what it takes to navigate these challenges. Lead with Spirit and let the 3D world follow along. When in doubt, paint, sing or dance it out.

Potent, Psychic Destiny Level New Moon in Libra

Happy New Moon in Libra!

(It’s 11:11 a.m. as I begin this post.) At 3:31 p.m. Eastern US Daylight time, the Sun and Moon conjunct at 23°53′ Libra. This New Moon squares the potent cluster of Jupiter/Pluto/Saturn at 19°-25° Capricorn, and opposes Mars/Lilith/Eris at 20°-26° Aries. This forms a Cardinal T-square of very intense energies, and many astrologers have written about the tensions of this New Moon.

When writing about last month’s New Moon in Virgo, I noted the prominence of Lachesis, the cutter, the terminator, a marker of endings. I said:

It will be interesting to see — in retrospect — which things get thwarted and which succeed, which things end so that new things can begin. I say “in retrospect,” because with Neptune at 19° Pisces — strongest in his home sign — opposing the New Moon and all forming a Grand Cross with the nodal axis, what first appears to be true will likely prove otherwise. The picture is so big, so complex, and so elusive that only time to sort through the details (Virgo) from a much larger perspective (Neptune in Pisces) will allow us to see how this New Moon, this September 17, 2020, changes history.

That statement proved prophetic in that the very next day announced the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. During this month’s New Moon in Libra —  a Venus-ruled sign symbolized by the scales of Justice —  the news cycle is dominated by Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination and confirmation hearings to replace Justice Ginsburg. Everything moves in cycles.

I mention my observations about Lachesis, because for this month’s New Moon, my attention got drawn to asteroid Psyche at 22° 47′ Gemini, closely conjunct the transiting North Node at 21° 33′ Gemini. Both of these placements closely trine the New Moon in Libra, lending intuitive and destiny level support to this Sun/Moon reset. In other words, even though the New Moon occurs at a point of extreme tension of Shadow, Justice, rules, the Underworld, willpower, war, sexuality, angry females, overpowering males, and explosive, volcanic emotions — if we quiet ourselves enough to hear the still small voice inside ourselves, this New Moon could prove pivotal in getting us back on track.

This positive adjusting to get back on course, back on our true, authentic path, is amplified by Pluto closely quincunxing the North Node and Psyche. Though often considered a minor aspect, I find the quincunx (150°) aspect highly potent and creative. Cardinal Earth Sign Capricorn has nothing in common with Mutable Air Sign Gemini, yet the quincunx demands integration. With the North Node, Psyche and Pluto in the mix, it favors intuitive insights that arise from very deep subconscious or hidden realms, and having those insights nourish the soul and help us align with our collective and individual destinies.

In other words, PAY ATTENTION to little, intuitive nudges you feel today and in the coming days. New Moons act like monthly resets. In magic, they say, “It takes a New Moon to manifest whatever you wished for on the Full Moon.” You set the intention, but reality’s cyclical reset allows for the new  thought forms to take root. I began paying much more attention to Moon cycles after I started gardening, because I noticed that plants really do respond to the ebb and flow of energies. The Moon controls the tides, but we are also filled with water. Our bodies and emotions feel the pull, whether or not we acknowledge the influence.

Astrology is basically the study of grand, cosmic synchronicity. We can experience influences on different levels; however, the influences do come. Aligning ourselves with the energies allows for us to lean into opportunities and minimize negative influences. As Dane Rudhyar said, “Astrology is a language. If you understand the language, the sky speaks to you.”

I thought I’d finish today’s post with two Sabian Symbols for today’s New Moon, both from Dane Rudhyar. The first is for the degree of Wounded Healer Chiron, currently at 6° 24′ Aries. You always round up for Sabian Symbols, so we’ll look at Aries 7°. To me, this seems like the crux of collective healing right now. Multiple realities exist. I see this with clients, and I write about it a lot. Whether I call it El Mundo Bueno and El Mundo Malo, timeline jumps or alternate realities, I refer to the opportunities presented by “being in the world but not of it.” Chiron at this degree during this powerful alignment of the New Moon in Libra, serves a potent reminder of humanity’s chance to heal by accepting that different levels exist. In our polarized world, this awareness seems key right now:

PHASE 7 (ARIES 7°): A MAN SUCCEEDS IN EXPRESSING HIMSELF SIMULTANEOUSLY IN TWO REALMS.

KEYNOTE: The first realization of the dual nature of man and of the possibilities it implies.

This symbol represents the antithesis of the thesis pictured ill Phase 6, yet in such a five-fold sequence what we see is contrast rather than opposition. The primordial one-sidedness of emotional and cultural manifestation actually calls for the compensatory ability to operate at two levels. Thus the primary dualism of Sky and Earth, of the divine and the human, of spirit and matter. The vision and the emotions are focused within sharply defined boundaries, but within these boundaries they express themselves at two levels. This is the foundation of religion as well as of magic.

A situation which has become characterized by this symbol can be successfully faced if its spiritual and material implications are understood and actualized.

At this second stage of the second five-fold sequence of symbols we see at work man’s capacity for LIVING TWO SEPARATE LIVES – and finding fulfillment and happiness in both. On this capacity are founded many of the complexities of human nature.

I love this Chiron degree Sabian Symbol combined with the symbol for 24° Libra, the Sabian Symbol of the 23° 53′ Libra New Moon:

PHASE 204 (LIBRA 24°): A BUTTERFLY WITH A THIRD WING ON ITS LEFT SIDE.

KEYNOTE: The ability to develop, for inner strengthening, new modes of response to basic life situations.

The butterfly is the ancient and traditional symbol of the results of the process of spiritual rebirth. If the butterfly has three wings instead of two, a special development of an aspect of the spiritual life is shown. Three is a symbol of fulfillment. Some power has been added to the normal spiritual life of the individual person. The left side usually refers to the instinctual field of the consciousness, but it is also the heart’s side. A new strength is shown, perhaps as yet unrealized.

A fourth stage symbol usually refers to some kind of technique or technical achievement. What is implied here is that the contact with the revivifying Life-force (cf. the first stage symbol) can result in the appearance of a new faculty, the use of which may not as yet be consciously evaluated. Indeed it is the establishment of such a contact which constitutes a technique for ORIGINAL MUTATION.

We live in strange, trying and miraculous times. This New Moon in Libra offers extra energy towards transmutation and destiny level collective healing. Individuals make up the collective, so the more we each align with the deep, beautiful being that lives inside ourselves, the more beautiful and healed our world will be. Take some time to listen to the quiet voice, to the stillness within.

In a world of amplified distraction, your inner self matters. As in, it creates and embodies matter. Tune in and dream well!

Timothy Glenn ~ Global Metamorphosis

The following post from my dear friend, Timothy Glenn, comes to us all the way from 2008! Yep, Tim’s been getting nudges to look at earlier writings, and this one came out to play first. Read in April 2013, it provides a nice (and eerily accurate) recap of the past five years, with a look all the way back to 1995, along with continued predictions to 2015.

By way of intro to this 2008 post, Tim shared in an email:

“Over the weekend, I was thinking of sending a 2008 article about Pluto in Capricorn, which feels more pertinent as time goes on. But the premonitions kept building (to the point of physical impact) and nothing constructive got done. Monday’s false flag unleashed so much. Are you doing okay physically? As you’ve noted in your blog, it’s a challenge to be empathic and to be enhancing our sensitivities at this time.

“In the vernal equinox article, I said:

Another facet of Saturn in Scorpio supporting Pluto in Capricorn involves bringing things hidden out into the public eye. With these two focusing the point of the Yod on Jupiter, we can anticipate more revelations that will rock the geopolitical world.
Earth Herself may get rocked in the coming months, but the religious, economic and political elements of the human world will certainly be shaken to their crumbling foundations.

[Laura again: I, too, felt the premonitions this weekend. Monday’s events brought extreme sorrow and frustration, but also an awareness of how much faster hidden things come to light these days. As I’ve said before, I am no more than an armchair astrologer myself, but I love how Astrology gives us an overview — sometimes far in advance — of what the cosmic energies support or undermine. That’s why I share so many guest posts by professional astrologers. These provide Universal context to individual and global experiences. Here’s Tim in his extremely prophetic blast from the past]:

Global Metamorphosis
By Timothy Glenn

Pluto Comes Out of the Closet in Capricorn

The three outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) always do a triple transit over every degree of the Zodiac, which would naturally include the cusps of each sign. These planets never simply enter a new sign and go about their business. First, they enter a sign to give us a preview of what they intend to accomplish during the several years they will be influencing us from that sign, and then move in retrograde motion back into the previous sign. After affording us an opportunity to tie up loose ends and seek resolutions, the time comes to move into the new sign with sleeves rolled up, ready to begin the fresh tasks in earnest.

As the slowest planet, Pluto gives us the longest transitional period, not to mention the most thorough scouring of each sign. Here in 2008, Pluto is finishing its work in Sagittarius and beginning its work in Capricorn. He began his Capricorn foreshadowing on January 26, has now gone retrograde, will reenter Sagittarius on June 14, and then will finally emerge into Capricorn on November 27 for a sojourn of about a decade and a half. Remember: Pluto never does a fly-by.

Diehard in a Hard Hat

Pluto brings transformational energy into everything it touches. Unlike Saturn, Pluto does not do remodeling jobs. We can picture Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, as the guy who heads the quality control department. He steps forth into a specific part of our chart wearing a white lab coat and carrying a clipboard. After making check marks and jotting a few notes, he hands us the paper and says: “Here. Changes these things.”

But not Pluto. He saunters onto the scene wearing steel-toed boots and a hard hat. He frowns and shakes his head while glancing around, and then announces: “It’s all coming down. Bring in the wrecking balls and the bulldozers. We’re going to build something brand new here.” Monty Python fans can picture a sudden appearance of John Cleese in an unlikely setting, uttering the famous words: “And now for something
completely different.”

The Gauntlet Has Been Thrown in Sagittarius

When Pluto began insinuating itself into Sagittarius in 1995, the transformational challenge involved our overarching philosophy of life, the universe and everything. For millenia, humans have been driven by fear, lust, ignorance, anger, pain, greed, and other such non-qualities. Our resulting interpretations of life have played out in spectacular fashion, to the point of threatening our very existence.

The message of Pluto in Sagittarius has been: wake up, grow up, and get real. For more than a decade, we have watched millions realize that our beliefs and attitudes help shape the world around us, and the time has come for us to live responsibly on this planet. But then we have the bulk of the population clinging to antiquated illusions, still following the Powers That Would Be, who will undoubtedly cling to their control mechanisms with insane desperation. But they are obviously insane anyway.

Pluto Plows Into Capricorn

As an earth sign, Capricorn deals with brass tacks 3D reality. It builds our external structures based on the philosophies developed in Sagittarius. We concoct our ideas about the nature of the universe, and they manifest in Capricorn as religions. The fearful belief in the mean old man in the sky gave us organizations like the Vatican, dedicated to fostering ignorance and foisting control over the people.

Our notions concerning resources and their distribution manifest in Capricorn as the economy. The greed-driven approach we know all too well has given us soulless machines like the central banking system, Wall Street, and the Federal Reserve (which is neither federal nor a reserve).

Our philosophies about how we can all get along without destroying ourselves has raised the flags of government. Deception, manipulation and oppression abound.

Pluto in Capricorn insists that all such structures must come into alignment with our more evolved philosophies. Again seeing Pluto wearing the hard hat, it will help if we understand that the entire old system has to come tumbling down; the religions, the governments, and even the economy. Perhaps the prospect frightens most folks, but the old world must make room for the New Earth. Period.

No Joking Matter

The preview we have been given here in the first half of 2008 paints a foreboding picture of times to come. In the United States, we have witnessed the foreclosure rate jump through the roof, the dollar take a breathtaking plunge, gasoline prices spike, and other such indicators.

While discussing this with another astrologer, we shook our heads and laughed. “What are we going to tell our clients as this unfolds? Gee, your chart looks great this year. You might not lose your house.” But we acknowledged that within a year, this will no longer sound like a joke to the vast majority of people.

From June 14 until November 27, Pluto will give its last call in Sagittarius. “Eleventh hour confessions, anyone?” After this year’s preview, the choice feels like mutate or die.

Pluto Takes a Leak

As the ruler of Scorpio, Pluto deals with anything deep, dark and hidden. From our dirty little personal secrets to the colossal coverups of the old world Capricornian monsters (the governmental, religious and economic institutions), this transit will shed light where darkness has dominated.

Capricorn and Saturn rule the tenth house in the natural wheel of the Zodiac. The tenth house is often referred to as the house of career in our charts, because it deals with what we do in the public. It includes our standing in society, our reputation, and our interactions with “the system”. In more universal terms, Capricorn equals the public.

As Pluto, the ruler of the underworld, grinds its way through Capricorn, it will tend to bring that which is hidden out into the public eye. Do you suppose we will see “leaks” of information the Powers That Would Be would rather keep secret? Count on it. Watch for it. Get ready to do something about it.

To use an analogy from The Wizard of Oz, Toto will pull the curtain aside. The public will see who has been pulling the strings on the world, adjusting the levers and pushing our buttons. The sight will probably not look pretty. Unlike the movie, we may not uncover a lost little old man who will be willing to help us find our way home. Pluto’s message: deal with it.

Mutual Deception

Before Pluto will even reach the halfway point in this massive transit of unveiling mass deception and breaking down the old system, another phenomenon will occur. Saturn will enter Scorpio in October of 2012. For almost three years, the ruler of Capricorn will probe the depths of Scorpio, as the ruler of Scorpio intensifies its efforts in Capricorn. With Saturn and Pluto in mutual reception (each in the sign ruled by the other) facts long concealed will finally see the light of day.

If we can accept responsibility for what we have allowed to happen to ourselves and the earth, we will be inspired and empowered to shift our reality. We will discover our true nature, our actual history, and our innate creativity. The Co-Creation of Heaven on Earth will become increasingly manifest as Pluto moves across the halfway point of its Capricorn adventure in 2015.

Give Us a Break

Come New Year’s Eve of 2015, we may want to take a break and enjoy the halftime festivities. But Pluto will merely be warmed up and ready to rebuild new structures to replace what has been demolished, and demolish whatever remains of the old world. It might get exciting. The second half of Pluto’s awesome adventure in Capricorn will pave the long and winding road that will lead directly into Aquarius. The dawning will be complete. Perhaps in the Age of Aquarius, we will be able to lighten up and get
playful with our Plutonian energies.

Cardinal T-Square June 24, 2012

Intense times, folks! There is some serious energy moving today and the rest of this week. Revolutionary energy, on both personal and global levels. You might be feeling some of this inside yourself or watching children react to it with bizarre behavior. On the international level, the globalists at the G-20 are finalizing Agenda 21, which overrides national sovereignty. Many consider this a highly treasonous action. Not good. If you don’t know what Agenda 21 and its depopulation scheme is, you might want to research it to learn why you probably want to strongly envision and empower something else. There are much freer, way more positive ways to nourish and restore our Earth! Why would we put the very people and corporate influences who ruined our environment in charge of “cleansing” it? Let’s love our Earth and mean it, but we can also love our fellow human inhabitants. We deserve better than the “elite” have planned for us. We’ve got amazing spirits, hearts and imaginations: let’s use ’em!

I don’t like to dwell on negatives; I much prefer to pivot towards the positives I now want even more than I did before I heard the negatives. This post from Astro Eyes helps put things more into a positive, bigger picture, astrological perspective. Wake up, open your eyes, fix your focus on what you do want, and please send Reiki, hold prayers and intentions for peaceful, loving, healing, freeing connections and expansions:

Cathy Lindsey ~ Cardinal Square June 24, 2012 (Thanks to Bill and Gillian)

Today, June 24th we are experiencing for the first time in recorded history an exact Cardinal Square between Pluto and Uranus. This is a very powerful day. We first started to experience the Cardinal square back in the spring of 2010. Since then, we have gone through a lot of changes and transformations in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Most all the changes have been for the good in the long run.

So what is so different about this exact square? Since this square first formed in 2010 it has never been exact by degree and minute. Today this square for the first time in recorded history is exact by degree and minute in Cardinal energy. Pluto in Capricorn is at 8 degrees of Capricorn and 23 minutes, and Uranus in Aries is at 8 degrees and 23 minutes. One continuous flow of changeable, transformative, and urgent energy! These 2 planets have been wreaking havoc, causing disruptions, changes, and rebellions for the last couple of years, both in the world, and in our personal lives. Now the energy is stronger!!

The Cardinal Square consists of Uranus in Aries squared by Pluto. Uranus (the constant of change, thinking outside the box and into the future, with a focus on community and humanity), is in Aries (the warrior, the initiator, the winner, ego). Uranus in Aries is saying we need to change and think outside the box and into the future. We need to focus on community/humanity. We need to move from “Me” to “We.” Uranus in Aries is being squared by Pluto, the planet of transformation. Pluto only cares about the transformation of your soul and the soul of the Earth. Pluto does not care about ego, what kind of car you drive etc. It only cares about your soul. It demands integrity and respect for all. Pluto is in Capricorn (which rules Corporate America, the Government, the Banks and the Military). These planets are in Cardinal signs – cardinal energy – which means birthing of new, urgency, and change!

During this square we also have the Solstice Sun opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus! This means the Cardinal square is now a Cardinal “T” Square! The Solstice Sun in Cancer adds to this mix nurturing energy, healer energy, big mother, and also some added intuition. Everyone’s intuition has been heightened even more. Tune into it and Listen!

The Universe is speaking loudly and getting more urgent about it! With this exact flow of energy the Universe is getting serious. This will be one continuous flow of energy. This energy will be intense and it is a time to listen to your guidance and your body. These energies will let you know the areas in which you need to let go of things that are not vibrating where you are.

It is time to let go of things and situations that are holding you back so that you can move! Today is an important day and things will be activated. There could be events that happen today, especially with the Earth, like weather things, earthquakes, tidal waves, volcanoes, wild weather etc, and things that will play out over the next weeks and months. Things also will be activated in ourselves, around change and transformation with the feeling of urgency. There will be seeds planted at this time that will play out over the next several months. Not everything will happen today but they will begin! Manifest and create how you would like that to play out in your life and in your community. Things may get a little rocky and bumpy. This can represent a change of the old order, which can feel unstable and insecure, and moving it into the new order you are creating!

It is a time to go with what feels right and follow your guidance. Flow with the changes. Those that will have the most problems during this time are those who wish to remain unchanged.

We are “birthing the new” meaning that, when you give birth to a baby, you do not know what the baby is going to look like in 10 to 20 years, or what they will do or how they will act. You don’t know any of that because you are just giving birth to the baby. That is what is happening to this new world we are birthing. We don’t know what it is going to look like yet. All we can do is just follow our guidance. Go with what we feel needs to be done. Think with your Heart!

Some Symptoms – Urgent feelings, feeling overwhelmed, not sleeping at night, an abundance of energy or a lack of energy, feeling wiped out, an almost jittery feeling, not enough time, nausea, headaches, loss of focus, feeling rushed, stressed, stiffness in the neck etc.

Take time to meditate and be quiet. Listen to your guidance. Manifest. You are creating a new you, a new life, a new community, a new world. This is a time to be very careful, watch where you are driving, and watch others. Watch what you say, and how you say it, and what you do. Be cautious! Be kind! Watch the weather. With this kind of energy, accidents can easily happen. Especially little accidents. It is a good day to be quiet with yourself and listen, or gather in community.

Uranus Square Pluto: Kick Out the Jams!

Yay!!! I was hoping my friend Timothy Glenn would do a write-up about Uranus Square Pluto. This is just his sort of thing, and describing such interactions draws upon his natural dramatic flare. No one does a Uranus-Pluto encounter quite like Tim. I hope you enjoy his insights as much as I always do:

Uranus Square Pluto:
Kick Out the Jams!

As Uranus and Pluto move into the first of their exact squares, an intense wave of transformational energy is being unleashed throughout the world. The planets of revolution and evolution are combining forces to trigger a quantum leap for all the Souls who are willing to move to the next level of cosmic experience. Things will not remain the same. June 24, 2012 marks the first exact square, and these two will continue their dance of seven exact squares for more than two and a half years, with the grand finale coming on March 16, 2015.

To help us appreciate the monumental significance of this astrological event, we can revisit the mid 60’s, when Uranus and Pluto were conjunct for the first time since we became consciously aware of Pluto’s existence.

“This is the Dawning…”

Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo served as the primary astrological influence that created what we know as the The Sixties. We can picture Pluto as the Lord of the Underworld, deep in his subterranean lair. Suddenly there resounds a knock on the door. Who would be crazy enough to come down here and pound on Pluto’s door? Pluto swings the door open, only to be greeted by the off-the-wall ruler of Aquarius, singing “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.” He announces his plan to inspire a group called The Fifth Dimension to popularize this song. Uranus gleams at Pluto and says, “Hey! You wanna come out and change the world?”

This partnership resulted in a revolution of evolution. It manifested in a variety of social phenomena: civil rights, women’s rights, environmental conscientiousness, the peace movement, and an overall explosion in consciousness (with and without chemical assistance). Deep awareness and high-flying idealism burgeoned forth.

A User-Friendly Square

The Square takes an unnecessarily bad rap in astrology. Among other things, the square sounds a call to action. Take the appropriate action, and the square will be your friend. But yes, refuse to take that action, and the square will probably smack you up alongside your head. But essential action can help us tap into the power of the square, and the results can be spectacular.

Squares generally put to the test whatever was birthed at the conjunction, and call upon those ideals to step forth into full manifestation. Uranus square Pluto is asking us if we really meant all that idealism of the 60’s. If we did, we are now being informed that it’s time to bring the Spirit of the Sixties forth in every facet of our lives. But since Pluto is in Capricorn, we will see a more mature expression of those ideals.

This transformation cannot be superficial. Pluto doesn’t do shallow. Uranus doesn’t piddle around. The clarion call is ringing throughout the Earth, and our most positive outcome will emerge through taking suitable action. Deep unconscious forces are being unleashed within us and without us. At first, we may not like what we see as our eyes open wider, but as W.C. Fields said, “There comes a time in every man’s life when he must take the bull by the tail and face the situation.”

The Real Illusion

With Pluto in Capricorn, the old Plutocracy will most likely hold onto its outmoded ways until its knuckles turn white, grow brittle and finally break. The smoke and mirrors illusion called the Economy has not been granted an exemption to the transmutative process. The cabal that has manipulated humanity for millenia has been showing signs of desperation, because the video screen of their life is displaying two four-letter words: Game Over. But people within the cabal are awakening as well, and the probability lines are fanning out before our eyes.

The system’s rigidity is being challenged by Uranus in Aries. Individuals and small groups are rising in a grassroots movement that functions beyond the system’s paradigm. In the New Earth, no one will be in charge. The principles of roving leadership and spontaneous evolution will outstrip the machinations of the Matrix. As a bonus, Uranus will summon technologies that have been suppressed. Truly, Game Over.

However, realism includes possibilities for drastic upheaval and even violence. Neither is necessary, but could set the stage for the final act of the human addiction to drama. It’s time for a new game; one with better graphics.

Recycle the Old Cycle

Some astrologers have been looking back with trepidation at the early 1930’s, when Uranus had previously squared Pluto. The world saw the Great Depression and the rise of totalitarian powers. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

The 30’s marked the approaching square, as an old cycle drew near its end at the conjunction of the 60’s. But now we are experiencing the receding square, as we put to the test what was created at the inception of the new cycle. Since we are calling ourselves and our consciousness to the natural process of evolving beyond such nonsense as economic and political slavery, it would be no surprise that these antiquated phenomena would raise their ugly heads for one last hurrah.

The quantum leap in evolution has come upon us, and it requires a leap of Faith. Either way, a leap constitutes a burst into action.

Capricorn New Moon December 24, 2011

Thank you to Kelley Rosano for sending out and sharing this powerful Christmas Eve message. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, this report will have you cheering about something. Here goes:

The New Moon in Capricorn on December 24th is an opportunity to awaken to the new future we are creating. Powerful Pluto is conjunct the New Moon encouraging us to let go of the “status quo” and reinvent our holiday rituals for celebration. Uranus, the awakener and liberator, says it is time for radical change. Radical means: “return to our roots.” We are to move away from our addiction to materialism and move into Love.

Holidays will be different this year and in the years ahead. Uranus, the change agent, and Pluto, the transformer, are active at Christmas and New Years. In fact, “weird” may be in vogue this holiday season. Let your spirit soar to new approaches, rituals and directions, and celebrate your own uniqueness. The New Moon in Capricorn is encouraging us to examine our traditions and fundamental way of life.

Capricorn is the natural ruler of the Tenth House. The amplifier of what a person attains, or does not attain—prestige, honor and success— before the public. Capricorn is a ‘testing’ sign and the Tenth House is of deep significance to the soul on its journey to the highlands of spirit. Capricorn’s key phase is “I use.” Capricorn’s key word is “attainment”. Capricorn is symbolic of the mountain goat— solidarity, s/he who climbs alone to new heights with patience and persistence. Capricorn faces calculated risks in that climb, but nothing is going to stop him before he attains his objectives. Is it any wonder that Capricorn rules big business? Capricorn requires that we make a commitment, concentrate and be disciplined in our approach. Capricorn represents “active practicality.”

Capricorns are capable of great strength and have a strong sense of purpose. Where Leo rules by the divine right of kings, Capricorn rules by delegated authority. The Capricorn strength lies in leadership and humility. Money is important to the Capricorns, but not for the money itself, it’s the power money provides them in outer circumstances. Respect and reward have to be earned in Capricorn. Great wealth and great power includes great responsibilities. The evolved Capricorn has leadership, patience, perseverance and humility. They are ambitious and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. The less evolved Capricorns can be cold, stubborn, suspicious and retaliatory.

Wherever Capricorn is found in our natal chart is where we have to make “restitution.” There is a need to improve or renovate our ideas about the house affairs. In previous lifetimes, we have sought personal recognition through the affairs of the house. Now, this house is one of frustration, until we no longer seek to obtain any recognition from the house affairs. Capricorn certainly does not deny personal recognition, but only when the correct attitude is “restored”.

The Capricorn New Moon is aspected by Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto emphasizing our readiness for taking a giant step forward on our path. Uranus–Freedom– reminds us that it comes with a price. We must speak truth to power. We must stand with the 99% and demand our government, banking, healthcare, education, and so on, serve our people and not just for the few who can purchase power. Uranus represents liberty and individuality—the ability to avoid being deceived or detoured by what other people think. Uranus wants us to question, experiment and know that each one of us has unique contributions to make.

“Uranus in Aries doubles the cosmic message to wake up and live the truth in our heart and soul.” –Stephanie Austin

Pluto is conjunct the Capricorn New Moon. He will bring things up to the surface from the bottom of our belly. What no longer serves us we must release. Pluto in Capricorn teaches us that we create with every thought, word and deed–that our life reflects our choices. Whatever is falling away from us now is to make room for something new. The Sun will approach its yearly conjunction with Pluto on December 28th. Whatever must change will become crystal-clear. We are in the cycle of Capricorn–a cardinal, action-oriented energy. The cosmic message here is: do not make fast decisions now, even if we feel compelled. It is much wiser if we approach our issues in a strategic manner. We want to take our time. Moving too quickly can create mistakes that we must correct. Patience and perseverance pays in dividends in the sign of the mountain goat.

Mercury, the God of Communication, will be out of his shadow period on New Year’s Eve. This means he has retraced his steps back to his original retrograde position 18* Sagittarius. Our lives can be very different by 2012. What has changed for you?

Generous Jupiter is in harmonious aspect to the Capricorn New Moon encouraging generosity, hope and optimism. Jupiter moves direct on Christmas day giving us the green light to go ahead on our plans and projects. It is show time! All the planets are direct until January 23, 2012. This window is a fortuitous time to launch our new ideas, partnerships and ventures. This is our cosmic green light!

“If you knew everything was really all right, and that it always has a happy ending, then you would not feel trepidacious about your future. Everything is really so very all right! If you could believe and trust that, then, immediately everything would automatically and instantly become all right.” —Abraham

May you become a shining Star…

Blessings and Abundance,

Kelley Rosano
