Doreen Virtue ~ Angel Messages for July 21-27, 2014

An empowering message from Doreen and her Indigo Oracle Cards. This one speaks to many of the conversations I’ve had lately with clients. (I’m not sure what’s up with the bowing gingerbread man towards the end, but the message itself is definitely worth a listen!) 🙂

“It’s an intense week, where you’re focused upon being on your Divine life mission, and doing your part for Peace on Earth. You are called to open your heart, have confidence in your abilities, and unleash your full healing abilities upon everyone, everywhere. Don’t be afraid of your power, which comes straight from God. Love and appreciate yourself and your spiritual gifts, which are much-needed right now.” ~Doreen Virtue

August 2013 Special

So many people have recently asked me if I “ever do intuitive coaching” that I’m feeling called to offer another coaching special this month. The answer is yes, I do offer intuitive coaching. I am just a stickler about the differences between coaching and therapy, and I am extremely careful not to do something for you that you can appropriately do for yourself.

Coaching, as I offer it, is for people who recognize that they are the primary factor in making changes in their own life. Just as an athletic coach can assess an athlete’s talents and skills, recognize weak or sloppy habits, design targeted exercises to foster strong spots and strengthen weak spots, as well as help to motivate and inspire, I do much the same thing as an intuitive coach. I can and will do all these things, but I cannot and will not play the game for you.

Depending on your goal, I may bust you on some hidden but highly sabotaging beliefs, help you understand and thereby release and/or transcend externally imposed patterns, and encourage you to get very, very specific about how you’d love to feel in your new, healed life. I will not use coaching time to encourage you to wallow (or wallow with you) in old drama except for the expressed purpose of quickly using that negativity to determine what you’d rather be feeling and experiencing. My intuitive coaching is mostly present, future, and often parallel oriented, rather than past. The past I do tend to bring through is often relevant generational or past life insights — again, with an eye towards discovering and supporting you to embrace your preferred Now ‘n’ Later.

“Support” in intuitive coaching does not mean listening to a weekly recap of all the ways life isn’t perfect. That only underscores and amplifies those things. “Support” in intuitive coaching means helping you to recognize how you tell your own story to yourself and others and how to become a better storyteller of deeper, more satisfying and more pleasant stories. I’m trained as an English major, and I will urge you to explore the symbols, plot, characters, patterns and foreshadowing in your own life. I’ll encourage you to express your tale and your life in active rather than passive voice. I will “read,” brainstorm and help you create, edit and re-vision your story, so long as you remember your own role as author and protagonist. (If you really, really want to remain a victim or minor character in your own life, then I’m not the right coach for you.)

Sometimes this change process takes longer than others. I can help you understand pacing, cosmic/energetic plot and character influences, as well as suggest ways to streamline your story for faster action, but you maintain the primary power and responsibility for expressing your own life. You have far more control over your timing than I do. “How long will this take?” depends on a lot of inner subtleties that I can help you understand and shift; however, I would not presume to remove or steal those from you. Those subtleties, nuances and unique experiences are yours to make of and do with what you will.

If intuitive coaching as I offer it sounds like something you’d find helpful, then this month’s special offers a chance to engage at a lower rate. Normally, coaching sessions are $175/hour or $600/4 hours. This month (at a pre-edited 444 word count!) we’re calling in the angels to support the coaching process at a Special Rate of $444/4 hours. Offer valid if purchased through August 31, 2013, but sessions can be redeemed as needed before or after that date. Please contact me if you’d like to sign up.

Too funny! I had asked the angels to give me a sign that this was the right package to offer. That 444 word count appeared at just the right time. According to Doreen Virtue, “444 – The angels are surrounding you now, reassuring you of their love and help. Don’t worry because the angels’ help is nearby.” So there you have it: angelic endorsement of this month’s special. 😉

Cheers!

Doreen Virtue ~ May 13-19: Weekly Oracle Card Reading

Wow, wow, wow … a very synchronous Doreen Virtue reading for me personally, but I know it’s also right in tune for a number of clients, friends and family members. The last card shares an extra special and insistent message from the angels. Peace and blessings to you on this journey!

Tips for Protecting Your Home with Energy, Angels and the Elementals

With all the news about Hurricane Sandy and the “never before seen” everything about it, I wanted to give my East Coast friends, family and clients some quick reminders that you don’t need to accept destruction into your home. Over the years, I’ve encouraged clients to surround their homes with white healing, protective light before a hurricane or tornado. These same people later told me that even when next door neighbors or the entire area of their town lost power or trees, they themselves did not. Others experienced minimal inconvenience, but no lasting power outages or major damage. In some cases, their homes looked like the only normal thing in a sea of disastrous debris.

When I send up and call in protective energy around my own home, I try to include as much of the surrounding area as possible — without diluting the effects. You’ll need to sense that fine line between turning a specific, easily imaginable and felt intention into something abstract … then back down the abstraction until you can tangibly feel and imagine the safety, protection and healing again.

If you don’t regularly practice energy work and you’ve got a HAARP-aggravated hurricane coming your way, I’d suggest you just focus on your own home this time. Don’t feel bad about protecting your immediate surroundings instead of everyone and everything you can think to include. It’s better to experience strong success in this method than only minor, random help to you and those around you.

If your home turns out to stand firm, then you can always extend your hospitality and good fortune to neighbors after the fact. You can also share these techniques with others you know, so that more and more people in your area hold the light of protection around their homes. Everything — including weather patterns — derives from energy and vibration. The higher, stronger, more joyful and powerfully protected and prepared you feel, the less likely you will experience negative outcomes. This remains true for hurricanes as well as job interviews. 🙂

I include below some easy tips and reminders for protecting your home:

1) Ask for a blessing on your family and home. This particular kind of prayer helps move you from default fear mode into a miracle-expectant mode. Just because The Weather Channel tells you something dreadful will occur, doesn’t mean you can’t look back on this experience as an amazing moment of Grace and deliverance. God/Spirit/Source/Divine Love/Angels … reveal themselves when our senses reach high alert. If you ask for a blessing, know that one or more blessings have already begun to make their way to you. Receive them. When the winds and rains kick up, recognize how much positive energy wants to shower you with good things right now.

2) Ask the Elementals for help. I wrote this past summer about how the Elementals responded with a much needed rain shower during our Wisconsin drought. If you follow that link, you can read a not-unique story. After sharing my experience with others, they let me know that they, too, had found rain when and only when they asked the Elementals to intercede on their behalf.

Who are the Elementals? You can think of them as faeries, elves, Nature Spirits, devas … those who live ever so slightly beyond the veil but who share Gaia with us. Different beings connect more closely with different elements — Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. They can increase or decrease the energies associated with their preferred element. In the case of a hurricane, I’d get quiet and sincerely ask (even “just in your imagination” is fine!) the Water and Air Elementals to balance the hurricane energies. Ask the Earth Elementals to fortify the land. You can ask the Fire Elementals to mitigate the lightning and power outages. A fifth element, Spirit, runs throughout all creation, unifying it in Divine harmony. Connecting with Spirit and focusing on harmony will also ease any chaotic energies around you.

As I explained in the article from this summer, the Elementals desire a closer working connection with humans interested in preserving and protecting our shared Earthly home. “Natural” disasters offer perfect opportunities to reconnect and realize that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. No one but the psychopaths wants any kind of nuclear issues resulting from a hurricane or winter storm. The Elementals deeply love our planet, and they will absolutely work with sincere people looking to protect and love the land as well.

3) Ask for Angelic Protection. Angels will not interfere without your request, but they stand by ready to act whenever you ask. Archangel Michael, in particular, wields a fiery sword that can create an energy vortex of protection around you and your home. You can also imagine green, gold, pink, and/or white light covering your home and permeating every atom of your surroundings. Invite the angels into this light and know that they will hold and protect that space for you. This same technique works for healing in the event an illness or injury occurs, but why not preemptively ask for the love and light around you? “Love and Light” sound like New Age buzz words, but they’re extremely powerful forces in the Universe capable of transforming any and all energies coming your way. If you catch yourself becoming flippant with these concepts, take a moment to breathe in the fullness of what Love and Light encompass.

4) Practice personal and global Ho’oponopono. I’ve written on this topic before, too, but wanted to mention it again in connection to storms. Storms clear out old, stagnant energy. Nothing quite like 50+ mph winds and sheets of rain to wash away that which no longer serves! Instead of resisting change, though, you can invite forgiveness into your life in far easier and gentler ways. I include an excerpt from my earlier article, beginning with the words of the Ho’oponopono prayer:

“I love you.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.”

A few rounds of that launch me deeper into my heart than I have ever comfortably remained — even though I do spend a lot of time in my heart. The words become a mantra and carry their own vibration, which seems to heal the angry spots inside. They also help to recognize even more of those Shadow Sides in which we have tangoed with the “Other” and hurt them and ourselves. In recognizing our own role in the victim/abuser/savior dance, we reclaim both our energy and our power. Those sticky relationships no longer tear at our inner peace like Velcro.

This practice has yielded such deep results in all my personal relationships that I started practicing it with leaders of our world. I also started practicing Ho’oponopono as an American, sincerely asking for global forgiveness of our massive karmic debt to humanity. Turning the other cheek to our leaders’ decisions to bomb, raid, torture and decimate doesn’t absolve us of all responsibility. At least, not in my world. I feel deep love for humanity and a true hope that we can move beyond all wars to live in peace and harmony on this planet. Speaking of this planet, I also started practicing Ho’oponopono as a citizen of Earth, sending heartfelt words to Gaia for all the ways we have refused to honor and protect her:

“I love you.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.”

5) Get some basic survival, food and water supplies before the storm hits. As the saying goes, “God helps those who help themselves.” If you fear you don’t have enough water, food, band-aids or blankets on hand should supply lines or power get disrupted, those fears will amplify the swirling energies around you. Know you have protection on the spiritual level, but also bolster your physical, mental and emotional comfort by doing what you can to weather the storm. Reasonable preparation doesn’t mean giving into fear if such preparation then allows you to rest easier knowing you’ve done all you could on your own. Most people find it easier to accept Divine help when they can reflect upon tangible steps they’ve made as well. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Sometimes seeing a few things sure helps, though! 😉

6) Remember any esoteric, natural or spiritual healing techniques you’ve learned. Studied Reiki years ago? No time like the present to dust off those skills! Learned about Quantum Healing or the Law of Attraction? Use this hurricane encounter as a quick refresher course. If you learned First Aid way back in the day, why not review some of those techniques? Do you have tons of Young Living essential oils lying around in a cupboard? Set aside some of the literature for entertaining yourself during the worst of the storm. You might especially want to have on hand those oils that calm fear or uplift the spirit. Whatever you’ve learned over the years, know that nothing is ever wasted. You have far more skills and resources at your disposal than you tend to use in everyday life. Why not reclaim these wonderful pieces of yourself?

7) Surround yourself with Sacred Symbols. For some people, the cross represents the most protective energy available. For others, the Thorn or Thurisaz Rune surrounds them with an energy shield associated with Thor, the Norse god of thunder and lightning. Celtic influenced people might prefer a five- or seven-pointed star, or the Triple Goddess Spiral. The symbol itself matters less than your association with the image. Symbols work directly on your subconscious mind, so having potent reminders nearby can help you feel and become stronger and more confident, regardless of what challenges you face. Advertisers, political campaigns and religions program your subconscious mind through symbols. By consciously selecting symbols that resonate with strength, excellence and power, you begin to embody those qualities and your reality reflects that shift.

8) Incorporate fun into your preparations. If you’ve got a family with young children or even just very scared adults, you can redirect any fear into positive energy by injecting a bit of fun into your lives. In addition to candles and blankets, take out some board games and novels. Hunker down and enjoy yourselves as much as you can. Finding ways to thrive in any and all circumstances actually alters those circumstances. Instead of worrying so much about power outages, find ways to rekindle your own inner power to create worlds. In a Universe of infinite possible realities, remember to include some fun!

Quick Announcements

Just a few details to share here:

1. I’ve decided to extend the Ascension Packages through the end of this month. (They were originally set to end today.) For those who missed the original announcement:

Ascension Packages are bundled session packages for a special type of Life Coaching designed to fast track people through changes during the current intense energies of Earth and beyond. These sessions combine my intuition, psychic awareness, knowledge of symbols, and seven years of life coaching experience to help you identify what needs shifting and how to get into alignment with the highest expression of you. $555 for 5 sessions or $1111 for 11 sessions.

(Please note, this is a radical discount from my regular rate of $175/hour and even from my usual coaching discount packages of $600 for 4 hours or $1600 for 12 hours. I feel called to offer these Ascension Packages at this time because so many intuitive clients find they would like follow-up support on how to move their energy and embrace the changes. Door Number 7: The Lovers

I finished The Lovers Door last night but needed to wait for daylight to get reasonable photo quality. Inspired by the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, this Lovers door also features a strong sense of Alchemical Union with the Divine. Thus, Archangel Raphael has healing coming out of his palms, and the Runes I used to code this painting evoke not just earthly soul-mate or twin soul union, but also the union of divine masculine and divine feminine energies into a trinity of one. I show two trees in this painting, but without implication of a “Fall from Grace.” This is meant to be a redemptive door, a return to the Garden after many years of exile.

** Please see the note and images below this original post. As of January 2015, the symbolic redemption has occurred even in/on/through the portal door itself, which got a major facelift. On a personal note, I had felt led for years to replace the center writing between the panels with “Gaia,” the name of the Mother Earth Goddess, originator of all fecundity and physical abundance. Humans are natural bridges between heaven and earth, and the star-shaped HAGAL Rune that runs through the lovers as light is itself a union of a deeply rooted feminine YR Rune and the masculine spiritual MAN Rune. (It also combines other Runes, as well, but I painted the portal with the intention of integration to create something new.)

You can see the original version immediately below, followed by close-ups and then the most current iteration as of January 2015.

The Lovers Door by Laura Bruno

Having written my honors thesis on Paradise Lost and having Plato’s Symposium as one of my very favorite books, I’ve long had a fascination with sacred union as a rejoining with the Divine.

Detail of The Lovers Door by Laura Bruno

For the bottom panel, I chose to include a red lotus, which symbolizes hridaya, the heart chakra. Those of you who read Schizandra and the Gates of Mu may recall that the word hridaya is also the same as the Sanskrit word for the “gateway to the highest reality.” The bottom quote emphasizes that the gateway happens without barriers: “Between God and the soul, there is no between.” –Julian of Norwich

The back of the Lovers Door features two quotes. The top panel is a chant called, “Om Radha Krishnaya Namaha,” which, again, honors the union of divine masculine and divine feminine. Deva Premal features this chant 108 times on her new CD, “Mantras for Precarious Times.” I awoke to it playing nonstop in my head last week during my final day of painting the Freya and Frigga door, which I had originally planned as the Lovers.

The bottom back panel has written in Runes a sentence from the Song of Solomon: “I am my Beloved’s [and] my Beloved is mine.” The middle of the door says “Reunion” and the other Runic inscriptions also emphasize this sacred union of divine feminine and divine masculine.

I hope you enjoy this door. It’s huge! After moving it into my bedroom, I discovered that I may only have room left for one additional door in this apartment. I’ve been “told” that I’m painting 78 doors, so that tells me something’s in process of shifting. I don’t know exactly what, but I’m sure curious to see. 🙂

JANUARY 2015 UPDATE:

As part of the redemption and reclaiming of humanity’s deep connection to both God and Goddess , to heaven and Earth, I finally received the intuitive instructions that now was the time to replace the original “Elohim” with “Gaia” (written in Greek), thereby grounding the lovers back to Mother Earth instead of leaving them as separate creations. On the left, you’ll see a Wheel of Being and on the right a Destiny Knot. Both Celtic designs come from necklaces David bought me on his 2012 trip to Ireland. The message of the Destiny Knot felt especially appropriate to this portal reclamation:

“Carried as a symbol of Hope and Faith, it is believed that once a person comes to a certain time in their lives, it is said that the knot will then unwind, showing you the true path your life must take.”

Please click images if you’d like to enlarge them. Below, you can see the full door as it now stands, although I feel I will at some point add a lightning bolt into the center of the red lotus — symbolizing a shamanic union of male and female. As of January 28, 2015, the time is not yet ripe for that one. 🙂

Forgiveness, A Year and a Day, and Jubilee

First of all, Happy 1/11! 1/11/10 … I do love my 1’s and 11’s. Always have. When we were kids, our parents had one of those pre-digital flip clocks and whenever it said 11:11, the word Japan appeared. My sister and I used to stake out the clock every morning (and at night if we had a babysitter and could stay up that late). Whenever it flipped to 11:11, we would jump and dance and scream, “Yay! 11:11, party Japan! Party Japan!”

Well, it’s not 11:11, but even 1/11 offers a potent time for intending and manifesting. As such, I thought today would be great day to write about a theme that keeps arising in Intuitive Coaching sessions, namely “Forgiveness.” I’ve drawn the Rune of Forgiveness for more than one person this week, and the theme peeks through in other readings, too. With Mercury still Retrograde for a few more days, we have some nice, supportive energy for looking back. What better time to review and release those things that keep us tied to pasts and presents that no longer serve us?

Lines about forgiveness are some of the most widely translated ones of the Lord’s Prayer:

“Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.”

“Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

“Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.”

What does it all mean? Debts, boundary violations, sins (literally “missing the mark”) … none of these situations feels good, and yet all too many of us continue to lug them around for years, even lifetimes! Forgiveness, or the lack thereof, forms the basis of 90% of the past life work I do. It’s a serious thing that can affect us on all levels — emotional, physical, spiritual and mental. The ongoing “need” to punish ourselves or others for perceived slights and misdeeds separates us more profoundly from bliss and oneness than any other single factor.

I guess that makes sense, considering the Creation myth about the Tree of Knowledge. Did anything actually change in Paradise after eating the fruit? Or did humans just start judging themselves? Whatever your cosmology or religion, forgiveness for “things done or left undone” provides a powerful catalyst to healing.

Traditionally, governments employed the idea of a “year and a day” during which time a sin or crime could be forgiven. If only we limited judgments to that short time period! A runaway serf also received his or her freedom after a year and a day, underscoring the freedom that comes from forgiveness and time.

But why take even that long? We live in accelerated times these days. Why waste anymore time in agony and judgment? I’ve always loved the word Jubilee and have lately become attracted to the concept. It began on February 22, 1300, when Pope Boniface VIII declared a holy year. He literally opened the doors to forgiveness, and any and all sins could be completely forgiven and resolved with Confession during that time. Originally intended as a once per century occurrence, Jubilees have happened more often, the most recent being in the year 2000 and 2008.

I personally would like to suggest a daily Jubilee, or, at the very least a 1/11 Jubilee. According to Doreen Virtue, 111 is a message from the angels:

“111 – Monitor your thoughts carefully, and be sure to only think about what you want, not what you don’t want. This sequence is a sign that there is a gate of opportunity opening up, and your thoughts are manifesting into form at record speeds. The 111 is like the bright light of a flash bulb. It means the universe has just taken a snapshot of your thoughts and is manifesting them into form. Are you pleased with what thoughts the universe has captured? If not, correct your thoughts (ask your angels to help you with this if you have difficulty controlling or monitoring your thoughts).”

So, let’s monitor our thoughts. Let’s create the kind of lives and experiences we want to create. The kind of lives we feel called to create, joyful to receive and share. Because we deserve it, and the world deserves it. Let your light so shine!

Namaste.

Medical Intuition: Ancient Healing with a New Name

This article first appeared in the Fall 2006 issue of We Connect Magazine. Copyright Laura Bruno, 2006.

Medical Intuition:

Ancient Healing with a New Name

In the 1980’s Caroline Myss (pronounced ‘mace’) and neurosurgeon Dr. Norman Sheady coined the phrase “medical intuition” to describe the ability to access mental, emotional and spiritual issues affecting physical health. Myss collected her experiences working with Sheady’s patients and wrote the bestseller, Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can. In this and other books, Myss re-introduced millions of people to the ideas of Medical Intuition and energy healing. I say “re-introduced” because neither of these fields is actually new.

In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Edgar Cayce dropped into hypnotic trances to diagnose all sorts of health problems. As people recovered, he grew famous as “a seer.” Some Medical Intuitives trace their heritage to Edgar Cayce, which usually means they “see” imbalances in the body and make accurate diagnoses. Cayce-inspired Medical Intuitives often locate health issues that traditional medicine has overlooked. By referring clients for confirmatory testing and treatment, these types of Medical Intuitives function almost like extra tests. Rather than using equipment, they X-ray and scan the body with their minds.

Long before Edgar Cayce, though, medicine men and women, shamans, and witchdoctors practiced forms of Medical Intuition. Some, like Cayce, dropped into trances. Others seemed supernaturally familiar with the healing power of herbs. Still others performed rituals and prayer to treat the body by healing the spirit. Into the Middle Ages, most people subscribed to the idea of a body/mind/spirit connection. Enter the Inquisition and the burning of millions of “witches”: even if folk healers survived, the Renaissance brought “modern” medicine, which called them superstitious. Medical research has only recently validated amazing connections among mind, body and spirit.

Ancient Sanskrit writings describe energy centers called chakras, which rise from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra corresponds to different organs, emotions, colors, sounds and life issues. (Cutting-edge research seems to verify connections among chakras and the location of nerve clusters and endocrine glands.) From this Hindu tradition comes an understanding of Life as a pulsation of universal energy. People revere the sound, “Om” as that vibration that connects and encompasses all of Life.

The Tao Te Ching speaks of something similar called, “The Great Integrity,” a unity of opposites before the One separated into forms. Quantum physics has begun to explore these ideas by studying atoms, photons, relativity, The Big Bang, and quarks. The more scientists discover, the more ancient philosophies ring true. We now know that nothing is really “solid.” Electrons constantly orbit the nucleus of atoms, jumping to form compounds or moving in waves of various frequencies.

The idea of one universal energy—a Divine energy—running through all of Life opens major possibilities for healing. Wellness becomes a state of being “in tune” with Life. When we recognize everything as One (as Divine), then unconditional compassion flows freely. We begin to vibrate in our natural state. A tuning fork can cause another tuning fork to vibrate, as long as they share the same fundamental frequency. In other words, one fork can start a second one vibrating just by vibrating the way the other fork naturally wants to vibrate. They “resonate” with each other. Similarly, as we vibrate waves of unconditional compassion, energy near us remembers its natural state. People begin to heal. Jesus Christ was the most famous Medical Intuitive to walk the earth, and he modeled this possibility for healing. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

In this state of unconditional compassion, everything is possible.

High Vibration Foods, Sounds and Colors

Hi Folks,

Sorry for a week without updates.  I’ve spent this time preparing some fun new things for you but haven’t yet had a chance to post them.  Rumor has it that one of these will appear on www.welikeitraw.com sometime this week. I’ve also got a video in the works, plus some new articles.  In the meantime, here are some easy ways to raise your vibration, which makes animal communication, telepathy and angel healing work that much more effective:

High Vibration Foods

1) Anything in its uncooked, minimally processed raw, sprouted and organic state maintains or amplifies its originally high life force.

2) Greens!  (Because they grow UP towards the sun, and also because they alkalize your system, letting you move into a positively flowing space.)

3) Food and water infused with Reiki.  Even if you only know Reiki Level 1, you can hold your hands above your food/water (or imagine doing so) in order to activate its enzymes and life force.  A highly love-infused blessing will increase vibration, too.

4) Raw cacao, provided you treat it with reverence and love, and not just as “candy.”  Consider raw cacao in the same category as tobacco or alcohol, both sacred substances, which can become addictive or vibration lowering if abused.  Raw cacao in small, loving, deliberate doses can have the effect of opening and softening the heart, inviting bliss and increased awareness.  If you don’t feel it, don’t worry.  No one’s making you eat raw cacao!  You will know if it resonates with you.

5) Spirulina and/or E3Live.  These tiny, ancient organisms bring us closer to the original, watery love-vibe of Mother Earth.

6) Goji Berries.  A Tibetan wonder, perhaps the most studied “superfood,” goji berries visibly raise the vibration of people who regularly consume them.  I can usually “pick out” the goji eaters or goji drinkers in a crowd.

High Vibration Sounds

1) “The Sound of Silence.”  Your right brain naturally receives more telepathic and auditory information.  When you want to tune in, allow yourself to tune out the static for a while.  You might be surprised at what comes through!

2) Moving water, especially an ocean, creek, large lake or stream.  Water freshens the air, allowing us to inhale more oxygen.  It also releases negative ions that sharpen mental clarity and enhance relaxation.  Listening to water reminds us that life ebbs and flows, so that we can keep our vibration high even when faced with troubling times.

3) The sounds “ah” and “oh” as in “alleluia,” “holy, holy, holy,” and “ahhh-ohhhh-mmmm.”

4) For aura strengthening when you find yourself surrounded by negativity or fear, try “Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasuudeevaaya.”  There’s a guided meditation on Yogiraj Alan Finger’s CD, or you can listen to a musical version here.

5) “The Gayatri Mantra.”  Sometimes called the original and most sacred mantra, this beautiful chant opens the third eye, heart and crown, invoking blessings through the power of sound, vibration and intention.

6) “Om.” Did you know that you can balance all of your lower chakras just by balancing your crown (at the top of your head)?  Chanting the ancient sound of Om creates resonance within your nasal passages and sinus cavities, which stimulates parts of the brain, which in turn reorganizes the rest of your energy system.  Krishna Das makes the most amazing Om sounds.  You can hear some of them here

High Vibration Colors

Believe it or not, all colors (even red, black, brown and grey) can carry high vibrations.  It just depends on your perspective.

Although many people think of black as a “negative” color, it actually contains ALL colors.  No doubt, black presents intense energy, but consider embracing the color instead of denigrating it.  Oftentimes when we perceive black as bad, it’s because we are too close or too attached to outcomes.  Step back and ask to recognize the beauty before you.  When approached from an awareness of Oneness, black becomes an opportunity–the darkly cocooned metamorphosis, that sacred void, the profound mystery of All That Is.

Grey reminds us that nothing is merely black or white.  We fear grey, perhaps more than any other color, because it challenges us to move beyond a world of “obvious” duality.  Grey brings us to the twilight hour, where shapes shift and forms reveal their underlying fluidity.  As fog or dark skies roll in, they carry moisture, the watery force that first made life livable on Planet Earth.  Grey brings the promise of those magical moments when we see sunlight streaming through the clouds–a reminder of anticipation followed by fresh downpours of sunlight, rain and blessings.

Brown, often explained as a smudge or cloud on the aura, likewise holds potent light.  Consider that most seeds occur in shades of brown.  These lock in the life force energy that eventually explodes into active, growing life.  Moist, rich soil is brown, as is chocolate, most tree bark, and human skin when exposed to sunlight.  Brown connects us to earth energy and reminds us of the latent power running through all our lives.

Red, the color of the root chakra, is often contrasted to the violet or white of the crown chakra.  Sometimes people will read an aura as “good or bad” based on how much purple or blue they see.  Again, such judgment colors our perspective and weakens its accuracy.  Red anchors us to earth and therefore allows us to expand to higher spiritual heights while still maintaining human form.  Without strong roots, we simply cannot sustain our maximum spiritual growth.  Remember that violet comes from mixing red and blue (the root with the throat and third eye); white comes by blending all the colors.

One of my favorite quotes of all time comes from the movie, “Silence Becomes You”:

“When the white light meets the black void, it does not make grey.  It makes all the colors of the universe.”

When confronted with “lower vibration colors,” amp up your own white light, and then look again.  I guarantee you’ll catch more rainbows!
