April Fools, Fairies and Fruit

Yes, it’s April Fool’s Day, and some people consider that a time for pranks and tricks. The original Fool, however, carried wisdom in his simplicity and humor. In Shakespeare’s time, the Fool spoke truth to the king when no one else dared. In the Tarot, the Fool card marks new adventure, paths unknown and a chance to remake ourselves despite old patterns or struggles. A loyal dog barks to get his attention as he confidently (or obliviously) steps into the abyss.

Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the Fool

Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the Fool

I’ve heard that Aleister Crowley thought of the Fool’s dog as Coyote trickster wisdom, a backwards card, with the Fool magically floating up from the abyss. In this case, the Fool and his mysterious zero would be the last card in the deck instead of the first. I’ve not been able to document that Crowley interpretation, but the idea holds the potential to leave our fear and doubts in the abyss as we levitate toward higher ground. Of course, the Fool card can also indicate “foolishness” or rash behavior, but I often consider the Fool a harbinger of just the right amount of silliness — from the Fae’s Seelieness — to remedy the humdrum, linear slogfest that far too many people consider “real life.” Practical? Uh-uh, but some ideas, decisions and actions are just crazy enough to work.

Abraham’s email message today jumped out as David as one for me. For weeks David has listened to me try to discern which fruit trees to order when, to go in which spots, and can I really believe that if I agree to plant the highly fragrant dwarf lilac tree and 50 lilies, then my “garden muse” will see to it that I won’t have any spring allergies? As my non-faery believing brother said yesterday, “If that works, I want in!”

On this April Fool’s Day, Abraham says:

“Take the worthiness that is yours, and let the ‘Fairies of the Universe’ assist you. Stop taking so much responsibility upon yourself, and live happily ever after. Shorten that crevasse between where you are and where you want to be, on every subject, to now, now, now, now, now. Ride the wave. Just pluck the fruit… You don’t have to be the one who puts it in the ground any more. You can just skip across the top of things and pluck the fruit of all of the things you want. “Oh, fruit. Oh, delicious this, delicious this, delicious this, delicious this.” In other words, it’s all right there for you; it’s ready for you to receive it as fast and as soon as you will vibrationally let it in.

Our Love,
Esther (and Abraham and Jerry)”

In addition to faeries, fruit, and the Fool’s abyss (crevasse), today’s Abraham quote reminds me of my most common “Grace,” which always cracks up David. Shimmering my hands over our food, I excitedly pronounce, “Blessings on our deliciousness!”

Indeed, oh delicious this, delicious this, delicious this, delicious this. Blessings on your deliciousness, too!

The Power of Your Emotions

Today, we have another series of comments turned blog post, this time from a discussion on Jean Haines’ blog. The discussion included after this long introduction covers ideas of being “in this world but not of it,” the Temperance Card and the Age of Aquarius, as well as the importance and power of your emotions. As regular readers know, I very much value the importance and power of love and forgiveness. I also recognize that love sometimes means calling out abuse, and then following that emotional line with action to stop future abuse.

The New Age and “Ascension” Movements have become so indoctrinated with the idea of “if you fight it, you feed it” that it’s tempting to lose sight of other choices. It’s not an either/or option of “live completely passively or become a violent thug.” We don’t need to “join them” and employ the same methods of violence and “power over.” We have other options besides “fight” or “flight.” We can also acquire different weapons that lift the old “fight” into newer territory. “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” was said by the same genius (Albert Einstein) who reminded us, “No problem can be solved at the same level of consciousness that created it.”

Like it or not, the subtle shift that turned the Peace Movement into the Anti-War Movement effectively neutered a force powerful enough to change the world. Before the CIA flooded hippies with LSD, real, honest, core emotions fueled a desire for world peace. A desire accompanied by powerful actions like organic gardening, creative (yet non-violent) non-compliance, and alternative community lifestyles. The power structures infiltrated the Peace Movement in the same ways they’ve infiltrated the New Age, Awakening and Truth Movements — from one angle, drugging people out with hope-ium, pharmaceuticals, or “natural” highs that leave people completely ungrounded and therefore powerless to effect on-the-ground change … from the other angle, converting righteous anger and empowering passion into mindless rage.

If we want peace to become a real, tangible force again, then we need to find middle, upper and lower ground — we need to seek until we find the best footing to implement real change. Pie in the sky is a fine starting place, but right now we’ve got drones in the skies … and many of the hopium “pacifists” not only voted to continue those drones, but they continue to endorse and enable violence through head-in-the-sand non-violence. If we can’t figure out how to stop violence, then at the very least, we have a sacred responsibility to create real, grounded alternatives so that a Tipping Point can actually happen. Slapping a “Love ‘n’ Light” sticker on genocide and tyranny doesn’t transmute such evils into “Bliss.” Not in the real world, anyway. Yes, infuse the real world with bliss — raise the default vibration — but doing so requires an occasional visit to the messy physical and emotional realms. The more often we visit, the more chances we have to influence the direly necessary clean-up and renovations.

For those who like the pseudo-Awakening Matrix Movies: it’s not just about Red Pill or Blue Pill. We can take a Purple Pill or — here’s a radical idea in the age of BigPharma– how about No Pill? How about actually allowing ourselves to feel those emotions, to observe them before discarding them as irrelevant or “low vibe.” Maybe we want those emotions … or at least to harvest their energy. How about reclaiming options that are rightfully ours but currently not offered for public consumption? We can become (to use another biblical expression) “wise as serpents, harmless as doves.” Many truly good, caring people have embraced the “harmless as doves” part, but far, far fewer have taken the “wise as serpents” part to heart. Wisdom begins by knowing ourselves — even the parts we wish weren’t there. Maybe especially those parts!

Edmund Burke said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” We live in a world where the DSM-5 classifies pretty much every single emotion as a psychological disorder that requires “treatment.” A world where BigPharma medicates the emotions into oblivion; a world where fluoride — which is essentially pineal gland poisoning Prozac — is pumped into public water supplies, as it was used in WW2 gas chambers to keep prisoners from freaking out and becoming troublesome. Yes, the internet and news are filled with “fear porn” and vitriol, but in our attempts to reclaim sovereignty over ourselves and to heal our planet, let’s not throw the babies out with the bath water.

Babies are precious. So are our emotions … as long as we nurture them, get to know them and learn how to trust them again. Despite all the attempts at divide and conquer and false duality, we don’t live in a black and white world. There’s plenty of Shadow to explore, and if we’re afraid of exploring it, including the emotions and energies that frequently dwell there, then we will continue to offer ourselves up to manipulation by those who’ve fully embraced the “wise as serpents” aspect while only paying lip service to “harmless as doves.”

Please note, I am not advising anyone on pharmaceutical medications to go dump their prescription med’s in the toilet. If you would like to get off prescribed med’s, please do consult a doctor, naturopath or other professional with experience in mitigating withdrawal effects, as pharmaceuticals create actual dependencies, which need to be safely addressed. The Hippocratic Oath advises, “First, do no harm,” but again … we must always remember to be “wise as serpents.” We live in a co-opted world. If we wish to free ourselves from all the layers of creepy infiltration, mind control, and the current — happening right now in mainstream society near you — Zombie Apocalypse, then we need to reclaim our emotions, learn what they are and how to work with them rather than being controlled by them. Respect, not control. If those emotions weren’t so powerful, then the NWO/transhumanist agenda wouldn’t work so hard at manipulating and/or eradicating them. As Starhawk says, “Where there’s fear, there’s power.”

I trust some people will find bits of resonance and assistance in the following comments, too:

That sounds like fear still talking. Jean said we have to lose attachment to that fear in the opening of this post. The name of the ascension game is to be on this earth, but not OF it. Forgiveness and understanding are what these military dogs, their superiors, and even those in the top tier of the cabal need. They were not loved enough. That’s the real lesson here. Learn it or continue to do things just like they do.

Tempering metal is one of the hardest processes to achieve. The same goes for tempering our base consciousness upward into spirit. I give you the Temperance Card. One foot on earth, the other within water, symbolizing spirit: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:RWS_Tarot_14_Temperance.jpg

🙂 Sometimes, though, I think we need to express our feelings, all the while knowing we aren’t going to act on them. To keep them inside is not wise . . . When they come out in the open, I thinkit is sometimes easier to deal with them. . . Hugs, ~Jean

Well said, Jean, and also, just a note:

In the Tarot (and many other places) water represents the emotions, not spirit. Wands/fire are the suit of spirit. Emotions are extremely important, as they keep us in touch with our soul. The Temperance Card is a great illustration, but it is showing the importance of balance AND the connection between Earth and the emotions in the Age of Aquarius –Aquarius being the water bearer.

Peace,
Laura

I agree with your words, but I would like to add that it is important that we keep the emotional pathway to our heart/souls clear, so the messages we get from our hearts are accurate . . . I hope you can agree with this. . . Hugs, ~Jean

laurabruno:

Yes, Jean, I am very much a proponent of people clearing emotions and also transmuting them into higher vibration and/or using the emotions to fuel passion towards something positive we do want in this world. I just find that many times there is a desire to skip the step of actually being in touch with the emotions in the first place. That’s rampant in repressive “religions” but also very much something to keep an eye on in the whole “Ascension” movement. Denial is not the same as transmutation; refusing to look at what’s happening is not the same thing as pivoting from what’s not wanted and recognizing our own levels of influence to change things — in thought and intention, yes, but also, quite often in action.

That’s one reason why I appreciate Neil so much. I think you would agree that he’s quite a passionate guy. He’s got that fiery Irish energy that can seem like a lot of bluster to people, but if you look beyond the bluster, it’s clear he has a tremendous amount of Love. Too often, Tough Love or speaking truth to power is seen as “negative” or “fear based.” Not dealing at all with Shadow emotions simply does the NWO’s work for them — instead of them needing to censor and medicate us, we do it for them through fear of anything that’s not “Light.”

There is a difference between darkness and evil. Compost occurs in darkness and fertilizes the soil; without it, the soil becomes sterile. There’s a huge connection between soil and soul, between humus and human. Soul grows in the dark; spirit grows in the light. As humans, we have and need both. Earth is Ascending. One of the easiest guarantees of being on that track is to align ourselves with Earth, our bodies and our emotions. In order to do so, we need to spend some time in Nature, eating real, non-GMO foods and removing toxic poisons — on all the levels with whatever tools we find effective.

I think we are essentially coming from quite similar perspectives given your story of your own healing. I just hate to see people immediately stamping out anything as “fear” or “not high vibe enough.” Fear is sometimes a valid warning system to “pay attention,” “be careful,” “change your path,” etc. Anger at abuse can provide courage and strength for action to halt such abuse. The key is not to get stuck in these emotions. That’s where the Temperance card provides a good model.

I find Abraham-Hicks’ concept of an Emotional Guidance Scale extremely relevant and empowering for people: https://laurabruno.wordpress.com/2012/12/19/abraham-hicks-the-emotional-guidance-scale/ … You can’t immediately access bliss from a place of despair; each emotion provides stepping stones to preferred ones, but again, if we just try to put a brave or happy face on things without real honesty, inner and quite oftentimes OUTER work, as well, then we haven’t “Ascended,” we’ve just deepened the denial structure. Thank you for your blog and the comments/discussion.

Hugs,
Laura

Jon Rappoport ~ Spiritual Fascism

Here’s Jon, in a “timely” explanation about how limitless and creative Reality truly is, no matter how much fascist governments, co-opted media or what I call “The New Age Borg” try to convince you otherwise. You are free to create and uncreate at Will and by Will. We are all artists. Some of us just happen to create more traditionally or abstractly or magickally or sur-really than others. And some of us recognize that art encompasses life. Indeed, art is life, and life is art … if we choose to embrace our own Creativity.

As Abraham-Hicks says, “You can’t get it wrong and you never get it done.” “You are a creator; you create with your every thought. You often create by default, for you are getting what you are giving your attention to wanted or unwanted but you know by how it feels if what you are getting (creating) is what you are wanting or if it is not what you are wanting. (Where is your attention focused?)”

Spiritual fascism

http://www.nomorefakenews.com

Year by year, I continue to make my case for the independent individual—one might even say the lone individual, except that this phrase has been co-opted to mean an assassin, a killer.

Which tells us where society is heading.

On every possible front, the psyop is about discrediting the individual and elevating the group and the collective.

Because I’m 75 years old, I’ve been around long enough to see the tectonic shift, among so-called intellectuals, from admiring and praising the individual to celebrating some sort of spiritual unity that makes us all into One Cosmic Glob.

For example: “There is really no separation between us. That’s an illusion. Finally, we are one consciousness.”

I dispute this. I reject it completely.

This, yes, insanity arises from a basic confusion and blind spot about the creative power (of the individual), which has no boundaries.

It is quite possible to imagine and create and invent a perception that we are all one consciousness and to experience the fullness of the perception. It is not an illusion. It is quite real.

But one can also un-create that perception.

In fact, in the early spiritual exercises of Tibetan tantric students and adepts, this on-off creation was a significant component. It was done, consciously, as a merging and un-merging with Nature. It was PRACTICED on a daily basis.

In early Tibet, a truly unique culture that was soon dismantled and destroyed by theocratic leaders, the individual was recognized as an staggeringly powerful artist.

Rather than assume there was one final highest reality we all share, it was understood that the individual could and did invent realities without limit.

Presuming to understand a final reality for all of us was considered absurd.

It is also a form of fascism. Spiritual fascism.

Once you embark on a road of imagination and creating, all bets are off. All preconceptions about what you must do, make, think, assume, and believe are yesterday’s news.

The individual is no longer “dangerous or deluded or separated from his brothers and sisters by ego” or any of the other debilitating formulations that have been offered to convince we are all One.

Here and now you or I can sit and invent the perception that, yes, we are all one consciousness…and then dispense with that perception. In either case, I’m doing it. You’re doing it. You’re creating a perception.

That’s what artists do, what they’ve always done. Somehow, in this cheesy spiritually fascist web of confusion, the fact has been lost.

People occasionally write to me and say the artist has no function in this society. Well, I’m not talking about function. Function is for machines.

Machines aren’t free.

This society is supposed to exist to allow the individual to flourish, but waiting for that to happen will put you on the track to nowhere.

Society is heading for more and more collectivism. Economically, politically, spiritually.

Here is a bottom line. People in this world believe in what they create, except they’re not aware of what they’re creating.

They think, instead, they’re seeing what’s already there.

This missing link explains a great deal.

People are playing a shell game with themselves. They’re placing the pea inside a particular shell, and then they’re turning over the shell and finding the pea.

Then they exclaim, “Look what I found!”

NO. They didn’t find it. They put it there to begin with.

They created a reality and then denied they created it.

This would be like a painter spending six months making a huge work in his studio and then saying…”It’s a miracle. I walked into the studio today and I found this painting leaning against the wall. Astonishing!”

Yes, you can conceive of (create) all of humanity and stars and galaxies as One Consciousness if you want to. You can do that. You can also do something else. In either case, you did it. And you can undo it.

The clue you should take from that exercise is: you have an extraordinary capacity to create “content.”

Dictators and fascists tell you what content you should create, and on top of that, they say you didn’t create the content at all. It was always there.

I could write a science fiction story that goes this way: One day, the guy next door, who is a painter, lugs one of his large canvases into your house and hangs it on the wall. He has a big grin on his face. He’s positively serene. He’s producing great GENEROSITY out of every pore. He says, “Look at this! This is what reality really is. Do you see? It shows that we’re all one great consciousness. And the funny thing is, I didn’t paint this. It just appeared on a blank canvas. I saw it this morning when I went into my studio! Now, listen. You should believe in this painting, too. You really should. This is the higher reality…”

Yes, I could write this science fiction story. Except it’s already happening, every day.

Abraham-Hicks: The Emotional Guidance Scale

I have referenced tools given by Abraham-Hicks many times, but as we enter a phase where vibration especially matters, I wanted to share their Emotional Guidance Scale. So many clients ask me how they can possibly get to Passion and Joy when they just feel generally filled with Doubt, Anger, Depression or Boredom. One of the brilliant messages of Abraham is to follow a step-by-step process up the emotional ladder. No, most people really can’t move immediately from Despair to Joy/Appreciation/Empowered/Freedom/Love in a single leap … but if they keep reaching for the next best feeling up the ladder, they will eventually climb out of that Despair, out of that Anger, moving further into Hopefulness, Optimism and all the way up.

This process reminds me of Kundalini Yoga instructor Gurumukh’s comment in one of her yoga DVD’s: “Wherever you are, start there. Because if you don’t start somewhere, then you’ll be nowhere. So we must start wherever we are.”

If you find yourself struggling or concerned that you’re not radiating bliss 24/7 prior to 12/21/12, please don’t worry about it. Just do the best you can in each moment. Awakening remains a completely personal process. You can inspire others or allow yourself to be inspired, drag people down, or allow yourself to be dragged down, but ultimately, the moment-by-moment choices happen inside of you. Each of you. You can’t “do” it for anyone else, but you absolutely can do it for yourself. A little extra consciousness of how you feel during and after your interactions with people, situations and ideas will help you to assess if you’re moving in the direction you’d like to go.

We live in a world with very few positive examples of wise, compassionate and just use of Power. With all the abuses by parents, advertisers, corporations, banks, governments, priests and others in whom we’ve unwisely invested our own power, we can easily accept the message that all power is bad power. “The Love of Money is the root of all Evil, so just give it all to us…. All power corrupts and Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely, so just let us handle that. We wouldn’t want you to corrupt yourselves. Some banks are too big to fail, and some institutions are simply too important to prosecute.” 😉

According to the Emotional Guidance Scale, though, “Empowered” ranks right up top with Joy, Appreciation, Freedom and Love. This is our natural, unmanipulated state — most closely connected to the Divine expressing itself through us. If you want to know how to spend this end of an age, I suggest spending it climbing up the emotional ladder. If that means joining and celebrating with friends, do that. If it means recognizing that you are not a victim but instead a learning creature, do that. If it means committing to the next step of your hopes and dreams, do that. If it means embracing your own creativity, do that. If it means radiating love and bliss 24/7, by all means, have at it!

Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires” by Abraham, Jerry and Esther Hicks offers many practical exercises and explanations. One tool that really helps people to “start wherever you are” is the Emotional Guidance Scale.

“There is no one giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps.” ~Peter A. Cohen

As we enter a phase of super-amplified energies, taking little steps in the direction of your choice means amplifying your intentions loud and clear. “Ask and it is given.” Intend and receive. Your momentum will increase, and you can reach further than you may have ever imagined possible. Forget the sky. There are no limits unless you choose to accept them.

I will leave you with the Adi Mantra chanted before a kundalini yoga session: “Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo” ~ meaning, “I call upon Divine Wisdom.” “I bow to that infinite creative wisdom that resides within my true Self.” You can do it, because you are it!

Making Peace

Have you noticed that as life gets better and better, sometimes those improved conditions highlight just how bad things used to be? Once we feel strong enough and joyful enough to look at the dark and dirty, sometimes we discover that the old dysfunction, oppression and control had grown systemic.

We realize: “Wait a minute! That wasn’t my ‘stuff,’ no matter how much the other person/society projected, manipulated and insisted it was. The dynamic was FUBAR and my recognizing that fact didn’t make me ‘negative,’ ‘crazy’ or ‘selfish.’ It made me honest. Walking away took strength and courage. Walking away allowed me to build what I always suspected could be had for the asking — with love.”

Sometimes such realizations produce outrage and a desire to explode. And sometimes those explosions turn into giggles as we remember just how amazing life continues to become. As we watch toxic personal relationships and collective illusions crumble, do we get stuck on what was? Or can we use that contrast to recognize with gratitude even the little things that most people take for granted? Can we thank the contrast for its ultimate effect of revealing what spectacular and loving lives we now live?

Good reminders today from Abraham — on a personal and collective level:

“We encourage you to make peace with everyone who opposes you and with everyone whom you oppose, not only because you cannot insist on their yielding to your perspective but because their opposing perspective is of tremendous benefit to you.

“You see, because of your exposure to what you perceive as their wrong or bad or unwanted behavior or perspective — you have given birth to an improved situation. And just as they helped the problem side of the equation to come into focus, they helped the solution side of the equation to come into focus, also; and that solution waits for you in your Vortex of Creation.

“Through our daily meditation process, you will come into alignment with those solutions and creations that are in your Vortex, and from inside your Vortex, you will feel appreciation for everyone who contributed to its becoming.

“When you make peace with those who differ in desire and belief and behavior from your ideas of what is appropriate, you do not perpetuate what you consider to be wrong. Instead, you align with the solution side of the equation that has been waiting for you in your Vortex of Creation.”
