Daylight Savings Time

Does anyone else dislike Daylight Savings Time as much as I do? My favorite thing of living in Arizona was no DST!

I’m the least linear time living person I know, but for some reason that shift into Daylight Savings Time throws me each year. I do a countdown for several weeks each Fall until we go back to Standard Time. When that happens, I feel a huge sense of relief, like some Big Lie has finally righted itself.

On the one hand, this cracks me up, because I’m not very tethered to linear time. Between precognitive dreams, past life readings, astrology (cyclical) and timeline jumps, I don’t know why I care about DST at all! I suspect my Virgo Rising feels like everyone around me is participating in a collective lie, and that bothers me. I want everything harmonized, ordered and true–even if that order has a boho casual feel to it.

Anyway, just sharing here, because I’m curious if this affects anyone else, too. If so, what do you like or dislike about Daylight Savings Time? How does it affect you?

  1. I hate it! Just when it’s getting light in the mornings when I’m naturally awake, POOF! Back in the dark. And it feels like The Man is trying to trick us into thinking there is more daylight, so we should behave accordingly, even though there is still the same number of daylight hours. It’s a Big Lie and so freaking annoying!

  2. When I moved to Arizona back in 2014 I received the gift of no time change. Wow, itscweird because it took me a few years to normalize to this but man, I cant imagine living with a time change now. I realized how discombobulated I felt all these years till the time change was no more. You can tell it’s a man made concept because it doesn’t alone with nature at all. Totally agree with you, 🤪🙃🤪. So thankful we dont go thru that here

OMG, yes! I dislike daylight saving time as much as you do, Laura. I leave my clocks on standard time year round. When it is noon, I want to know when it’s noon! Something interesting that I observed during the switch (day before, day of and day after), my electronics experienced “time lags”. I noticed with a tv remote and my cell phone. A friend has told me that she has noticed it with her car radio and phone. Sometimes when I tried to change the channel on the television, nothing happened for a minute or so, and then the channel changed. If I have tried a couple (or more) times to change it while it was doing “nothing”, the channel “jumped” ahead however many times I had hit that button.

    • LOL, my “alarm clock” by my bed NEVER keeps correct time. It always runs super fast, which coincides with my precognitive dreams. We used to “correct” it, but it starts running faster again no matter how many times we reset it. Now I use it as a flashlight by pushing the button if I need to see something in the dark.

I can’t set an alarm on a clock. If I need to get up at a certain hour, I have to use a countdown timer, as clocks around me simply won’t keep time. For some reason, the “incorrect” time on my alarm clock amuses me, whereas this collective lie of DST bugs me all season.

It completely pisses me off to be honest. I hate it. It messes everything up and for what exactly? We know don’t we…it’s for nothing less and nothing more than sinister reasons meant to interfere with our natural rhythms and the natural flow of our light. It doesn’t work though…nothing can stop the light, maybe we might get slowed down a bit, but then we recover and shift into overdrive where we can’t be stopped or deterred in our mission even more! It backfires yet they keep on trying. Stupid.
May this be the last time change ever! May this be the season we overcome the evil and take our planet back. ❤️♥️❤️

  6. Yes, I so know what you mean Laura about it feeling like a ‘collective lie’..
Here in the UK we alter our clocks I think on the 26th of the month…
We are always told its to help the farmers have more daylight hours!? ?
Many years ago we did an experiment here in the UK to NOT alter the clocks.. And it meant children walking to school in the dark and it was if memory calls worse in Scotland further North… And many parents complained it was unsafe..
So it was only I feel done that one year… and reverted back to Daylight saving again..
We have so forgotten how to follow nature’s rhythms as mankind follows the manmade clock…
    Have a great week Laura…. ❤

“Whatever!” Hahah! Love it. Laura! Also, to all… I love seeing all this post from you, Laura, and all the replies. I agree that saving time is done for nefarious intent.

It’s very disruptive to our circadean rhythm, a 24 hour cycle of time is not that bound to the “arrow of time” that established time as a linear progression as a result of the big bang. We are hard wired to the rhythm of Gaia, despite our ability to shift, bob and weave!

I hate it too. The greed mongers want to keep Daylight Savings permanent, lighter evenings = more shopping, or it used to. The medical profession says they’ve got it backwards and say we should keep Standard time, as more light in the AM benefits our health.

Agree though, it feels so wrong.

I don’t hate DST. I just hate having to change all the clocks & having to endure countless rather trivial things because of it. It gets more & more confusing as we age.
I’d take all DST or Std time but not changing back & forth. We could certainly save much effort by keeping just one time all year.

Hate it! I use light of dawn as signal to rise and get out of bed. Slow, comfortable build up from Solstice as days lengthen. So the natural progress towards Equinox––monkey wrench thrown into it. It’s just another way the soul-challenged entities attempt havoc on those connected to the Divine, higher dimensions…

I LOVE DST! I like that it’s light at 7:30pm and I can go for a walk. I love the pretense of extended daylight hours!

  15. Same here… standard time (light in the morning, dark in the evening) is much better for our bodies. DST always messes with my mind and body. LOL!

Hi Laura, Yes, I am so with you on this and feel similarly. Some, many in power, feel the need to manipulate so many things here in this dreamscape. Just can’t leave well enough alone. HA! All the best to you! Happy adjusting!

    • Hi Sophia, good to hear from you! Yes, happy adjusting! It’s going better since I just embraced getting up way earlier in the dark–and going to bed way earlier than usual. My circadian rhythm did its own thing, so now I’m operating on two time zones west of me, LOL! But it feels good.

    • Or maybe two time zones east. I don’t know! But I’m doing my own thing.

I hate it too! I am just getting used to waking up early and getting myself into a good rhythm and then all of a sudden I’m jolted out of it. I wish we could just stick to the natural rhythms of life and we would all be the better for it. The government is messing with our biological clocks. I am about to go back to standard time soon being in the southern hemisphere. This is an easier transition than the winter to summer one.
