The Magic of Gratitude

Wishing everyone a Happy Gratitude Day!

Even if you’re not in the US or you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, remember to look around you with eyes of gratitude. Moments of magic can appear when least expected, and they lift the vibe all day. Thank you to all my blog readers–especially to those who share your insights and experiences in comments. I appreciate you, and so do many silent readers. I know from individual sessions that many people feel alone, but we are ALL connected. The comment section here is one way people realize that, and it has started more than one off blog friendship.

Much Love,

Laura

    • Awwww! I feel exactly the same way, Pamela! My mom and I were both texting the other day about how we wish you lived local to us. Of course, that would require bilocation on your part, since my mom and I don’t live close to each other, but nothing’s impossible for Pamela, the greatest massage therapist in the world! So much love to you, and I’m grateful for our visit this summer! ❤

  5. Hugely grateful for you and that we’re together during this pivotal Earth time, for everyone showing up in the world and here on this platform who share so much with us. There really is so much to have gratitude for and it’s a life changer! I constantly use a gratitude practice and have found it to shift energy instantly, manifest things fast, and support well being. I feel it to be an essential on the self care and wellness protocol.

There’s many examples I could share that may be of help since I know many have anxiety and stress these days, but this one stands out that was most recent: My rabbit Astrid had an accident day before a road trip and it created so much anxiety for me. I was ironically in a meditation group at the time and felt the anxiety increasing and about to overtake me, no matter the breath work, stillness, or any other technique I tried during my silent meditation – nothing was working and actually the deep breathing was making it worse. Then a voice came to use my gratitude practice. I started listing off the things I was grateful for in relation to her and then widened that to more, as well as gratitude for things not yet seen, but that I hoped for concerning her. Within literally seconds the anxiety dissipated and my body returned to balance and peace…seconds. It is a game changer and the easiest, free thing we have as an accessible and empowering tool.

    • So true! Gratitude is a game changer. I always tell people there’s a reason in the Reiki principles, “Don’t worry, and be filled with gratitude” are in the same line. You can’t do both at once. If you shift into gratitude, you can’t simultaneously hold the worry. It recedes as the gratitude comes forward.

Lots of love, Sweet T! So many wonderful Gratitude Day memories with you. So grateful for our long friendship! Hehe, even longer than we may have realized. 🙂 ❤

Totally agree. It’s become so much more accessible and easier than ever to shift into lately. It truly is a game changer for anxiety. I find it’s also a space that allows my “claires” to function more reliably and so I can better navigate the challenging landscape of human interaction.

I’m grateful for you and your blog! Thank you for providing a safe platform where we can share thoughts.

I love those owls, I have one carved from some black material watching over Rockie’s memorial alter, it’s standing on the soapstone heart shaped box our communication pendulum aka standing wolf rests in. 🐺🦉

Happy Gratitude Day to you and your family! 😺

I stopped, smiled and gave gratitude for my bloody nose, and that I hadnt forgotten. Immediately it stopped. Totally shifted. Hope you had a wonderful day ❤

    • Tania, I’ve tried three times to post this on your blog, and it won’t go through. Maybe you will see it here:

Very synchronous you mentioned the calm before the storm. This is an excerpt from yesterday’s dream journal (December 1):

I spoke with one 30-something woman while sitting in our living room. I don’t recall seeing her, but I wasn’t on the phone either. This is another reason I think she might just be part of myself. Her presence felt tangible, and it felt like if I ran into another myself. I told her how she was born for this time and not to be afraid. Then I stood up and looked out the front window. To the left, the sky looked like a massive gray tsunami moving towards us. The entire sky rolled with a wall of clouds 100’s of stories high.

As I looked outside, I gulped, realizing how threatening and intimidating that sky looked. I could see why the woman felt afraid, but I stood by everything I had just told her. I pointed to the clouds, which rolled in fast looking like they would swallow everything in their path. It looked like a giant tidal wave getting ready to crest, except it was all dark gray clouds. Lightning flashed in a sporadic way, and it had that eerie stillness right before a massive thunderstorm. I knew the rains were about to dump.

“You were born for this time,” I said, while standing at the curtains. “You have no reason to be afraid of this storm.” As I said that, again, I gulped, recognizing this as the largest storm I had ever seen, but also knowing that what I told the woman was true. She would not only handle this storm, she was born for this time. But looking out the window was a very solemn and sobering affair. Nothing would be the same once that storm wave hit.

      END of dream journal.
