Happy Solstice + A Sky Alert

In honor of Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, I thought I’d post some sunshine yellows from the garden. Very soon after Solstice, we’ve got a Solar Eclipse at 2:41 a.m. Eastern US time, plus Father’s Day tomorrow. Sending heartfelt blessings to all.

For those interested in an in depth sky weather report, Astrobutterfly does a great job here. As usual, key spots in my natal chart and life get activated by this eclipse. It’s really uncanny how this keeps happening in such precise ways. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy these sunshine yellows:

With respect to the coming emotional purge…as a Pisces Rising and Pisces Sun, I’m a bit nervous, to say the least.

I feel I’ve done some good work on myself, and hoping that is sturdy enough of a surfboard to ride the upcoming waves of grief, anger, etc.

Something I would like to share, may or may not be helpful to others, but it was a tipping point, a breakthrough moment for me in finally creating forgiveness of my childhood abusers. It’s the idea that my parents would have done better, *if the could have*.

This idea, this concept, really shifted something deep inside. All at once, it relieves me of the burden that I somehow caused the abuse, it acknowledges that the abuse occurred and was unfair, it acknowledges that my parents were mentally ill and deeply entrenched in thier own emotional hell. It allowed me to move on and accept the past so that I may focus on the present and what I want my future to be.

I know grief and anger all too well. My sincerest wish is that anyone with stashed stores of this stuff let it out for processing sooner rather than later. I’m going to spend some time ferreting out those nooks and crannies where these emotions like to hide, to let them flow, then let them go.

It’s OK to acknowledge hurt and grief over lost childhood, over lost opportunities to build adult relationships with parents, but remember to move through, to allow the inner child to mature. If you get stuck, like I did, in self-pity and tantrums. that’s OK too, I don’t recommend it though!

Be gentle with yourself, invite your heart to heal, and remember the better care you give to yourself will help everything else fall in to place, exactly where it should be.

Gifts are waiting for you on the other side of this. Gifts that were hiding in the dark. The journey through this underworld will reveal things forgotten and unseen.

Anyway, blessings to all and happy processing! Don’t forget the tissues! 😊

Oranges and yellows, especially cheerful blends of the two, have become increasingly favorite colors over time. πŸ™‚ They just lift the spirits!

Oh, that’s wonderful. Congratulations to Tania and her partner. I’m sorry you couldn’t have been there in person, but glad you at least got to be there virtually. Peace and love!
