New Indoor Garden Fun

Last week, I spent time gathering and planting some cold hardy annuals outside, but it seemed time for an indoor garden expansion, too. These newbies are playing nice with the old timers, while bringing me great joy. When David returns tomorrow night from his two weeks away, he’ll have some new friends to greet:

We’ve had the spider plant for years, but the bright moss is new as of last week. Also new last week, a bonsai and little succulent trio for my writing desk:

This “Exotic Allusion Arrowhead” plant (above) arrived today, taking the place of a Spring Equinox addition called Dragon’s Tongue (below left), which will appreciate more light, next to its mystery companion that I hope also prefers medium light:

The fireplace room wanted more than just the new moss, and today brought Bromeliads (with the orange flower), in front of one of the snake plants from our “Signs, Ogham and Snake Plants” adventure last fall:

A new Codonanthe joined the snake plant on the other side:

The faeries are enjoying the new, greener surroundings of their houses:

David will attest that these are far from the only indoor plants, but these are the new ones, and it does feel good to green the inside even more.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a groundhog to attend to. He’s ba-a-a-ck! Actually, I’m not sure if it’s Kalamazoo Kal or another interloper. We shall see. I’m reminding him this is not the everyday yard — it’s the crazy adventure yard with, nope, no kale or other yummies besides dandelions……..

  1. Thanks for sharing a bit of your indoor garden, Laura. Green and growing things enliven the indoors (along with outside!) – handy for urban indoor gardners, too. Really smiled at the wee gourd house. πŸ™‚ xo Happy Spring.

    • Thanks, Jamie! Yes, Tania gave me those faery houses a couple years ago. Lots of fun. They even house indoor LED candle lights. πŸ™‚ xo and Happy Spring to you, too!
