More Pretties

David and I are on the receiving end of another bouquet, and it’s just too pretty to keep to myself. Thanks again to Mitch for the beautiful belated housewarming gift. After having given away hundreds of bouquets since early 2013, these flower deliveries underscore a persistent theme of receiving — already planted trees, previously landscaped yard, huge flowering perennials that hadn’t yet found their strength in Goshen. And huge bouquets picked and arranged by someone else, then brought to our door. This one features lots of orange for my half-Dutch hubby, too:

Delphiniums, asters, carnations, lilies, Gerber daisies, roses and what are those little pink beauties? Anyone know? I’d love to plant some. 😉

If you are referring to the little flowers on the left, they are Alstroemeria. The little flowers on the right are wax flowers.

  7. Thanks, Sue! Yes, perhaps having the smaller garden already in, next year I will grow dahlias. I’ve always wanted to, but didn’t want to have to dig them up in the fall. Perhaps some nice pots here! xxx

  8. They would go well in pots.. I am considering putting some in pots that are now in the allotments.. We have to dig them up and store frost free in winter too..
