Incremental and Lasting Change: Create New Systems and Safety Nets Before Summoning Destruction

Today’s post is actually a comment I left when Ines, the writer of the blog post “Starving the War Machine ~ Let’s Try This Again,” privately emailed me to challenge me to advise people to crash the financial system en masse. Her post throws down the gauntlet to “Hundreds and thousands of people in the Alternative Media and the great researchers, truthseekers, wanna be gurus and Cult leaders that come from all walks of life [and] pride themselves for the knowledge/information/intel they acquired” who continue to operate in the financial system. Apparently, one of my readers, Anthony, suggested in the comments section that Ines contact me, which she did. You can read her post by clicking through the above link. Here are my own thoughts on her ideas:

Thank you for emailing me Ines, and Anthony, thanks for the suggestion. While I personally spent many, many years starving the war machine and then later trying to get our community set up so that it could survive the kind of financial chaos Ines is championing, I have found that a) most people are not interested in self-sufficiency or even resilience; b) this sort of widespread chaos is exactly what the PTB are hoping for; and c) it takes money to get things in place as a safety net.

This is not an excuse. I have poured thousands of dollars into rehabbing land and creating a food forest, which I’m turning over to 5 other people when we move. I also use these gardens to make bumper crop food donations to local food banks, feed neighbors, friends and impoverished people I encounter. I address the issues in the most practical ways I find, which includes doing my best to get local communities to do what you, Ines, and I and others are personally doing: taking responsibility for ourselves, growing our own foods, using plants to heal, focusing on energetic as well as community resilience.

In America, we are nowhere near the level of resilience where I could in good conscience recommend people try to crash the financial system in a week. Right now there are not enough safety nets in place. We are moving to a city that has many more of these nets in place — several public food forests, many, many community gardens, an ethic of “Community Capitalism,” where those who do have money voluntarily funnel it back into local projects that support people and the earth. I forget where you live, Ines, but the level of poverty and dependence on welfare of some sort is off the charts right now in the US. Even the so-called “Middle Class” is living paycheck to paycheck or going into debt.

After nearly a decade of starving the system, I eventually realized that it takes money to plant food forests, create community gardens and turn lawns into farms. I barter for lots of things — literally tons of things if you count four years of free wood mulch to enrich the soil here — but it has still taken money for garden tools, purchasing more mature fruit trees that can produce in 1 year instead of 4-5 years, and getting unusual perennial vegetables that will produce for decades. It has taken money to make this yard so incredibly beautiful that people who otherwise had no interest in gardening have torn up their own lawns to grow flowers and food, or have joined community gardens because they feel so inspired.

A rag tag yard would not have done that, because while some people are motivated by pain, others are motivated by beauty, joy and love. Isn’t that what we’re aiming for in the New Earth? As Anthony says, the trauma and chaos may arrive anyway. No need to summon it faster than the “elites” already are. If you really want to make a change, imho, if you’re already self-sufficient, then radiate that outwards by getting gardens into your community, teaching your community how to heal themselves with herbs, how to use energy to shift their opportunities and health.

Once we’ve done this at a critical mass level, then I think your idea of crashing the system could have merit in that the system could easily become obsolete. We are nowhere near that point yet, although I continue to plant fruit and nut trees, turn gardens over to new people and plant more. I know others doing the same thing. First things first.

People will do pretty much ANYTHING if they see their children starve. Research the connection between high food prices (or no food on the shelves) and revolutions. I agree we need a change, but not all change is good. If we don’t want the “elite” swooping in with their “Solution” to the Problem and Reaction, then we had better have solutions already in place and easily replicated. Otherwise that revolution will just usher in a new level of slavery and/or the eugenicists’ dream of massive population cull. If people really want to take action, then get the new food system in place for your local community if you already have it in place for yourself. See the Ron Finley Project or Will Allen for details on how this is the real revolution.

I feel your heart is in the right place — and again, I don’t recall where you live. In the US, though, the masses are not ready for the next French Revolution, even though we’re being prepped for it, guillotines and all. A true, positive, lasting, sovereign change will involve a new kind of safety net that preemptively makes the system obsolete before recklessly crashing it. Since the “elite” plan to crash it anyway, we might as well prepare for the best, which also allows us to prepare for the worst. No brainer, imho.

Peace and love to you,
Laura

Thank you for your Wisdom Laura, truly wisdom. You have started your revolution in your way which doesn’t mean others can’t do the same either, but I’m coming from Europe, a different standpoint where “crashing the system” would mean stopping wars. While we build gardens and grow food…how do we stop the wars and mass genocide across this planet?. This is what I was looking at, more about wars, while you’re looking at self sufficiency. Both of our points are correct but you are right. We have to have a safety net, in other words, if we crash the system, there is no money or cash to buy food and medications. Excellent post Laura, as always, I’m inspired by your wisdom!

    • Thank you, Ines! Yes, stopping the wars is so important. I just don’t want to stop foreign wars and replace with a “civil” war over food and medicine. Wishing you all the very best! We have the same vision and desire for positive change. The thing with local action is that it will obviously vary from place to place, and each person will know his or her own locale better than any general, “absolute” solution. I have many friends and clients in Europe, and I do send love and light to your continent every day. Big blessings and prayers for peace …

Laura, I live in Croatia. I immigrated to Canada as a young child and returned in 2004. I live on a very small island in the Adriatic called Solta. Alongside growing my own organic food, I also belong to a group I founded called “Green Angels”. We grow Cannabis and teach others how to grow their own and make their own medicine. for those who are not able to we give them the Oil with certain conditions. If someone has Cancer, and we feel we can help them, they have to sign an agreement. This agreement is between themselves that they will not smoke, not do anything that is harmful to them and that they in turn once they get better will join the group and become a participant. It’s all about empowering people. You know the deal. We send millions of dollars of rice and corn to impoverished countries which never solves the poverty. By teaching them how to farm, give them irrigation tools and what else they need, we empower them by growing their own food and get out of poverty. What you and I are doing are the same, we live what we teach and share with others. Not only to create a better Earth, but to get people out of their poverty consciousness and empower them with tools to get up and live healthy.
I also founded an Association here on the island to teach people how to garden without chemicals because most of the population here is dying from cancers. They use chemicals, herbicides, pesticides and then wonder why they get cancer. We educate the older generations because they have forgotten that mother earth provides all the nutrients we need, that we should return what we take back from the Earth. I wish I had more time to read more of your posts, but like you, time for me is 2 hrs online to do what I need to do. I have clients from all over Europe coming to my clinic for TCM healing, but I also empower them by helping them remove the negative thoughts and emotions which only feeds the disease. Thank you again for your wisdom, and I will make an effort to read more of your blog!

Excellent Laura! I love it. We really do need something in place first. Everyone wants to be reactive then try to think of a solution afterwards. To many people are trying to save the world when they don’t even have their own life in order. Think small first. Get your life and house in order, then your street, then your neighborhood and then your city. Have a safety net. Great post Laura.

    • Thank you, James. Yes, it’s hard to do the tiny steps, because sometimes even those feel overwhelming and insignificant, but I keep coming back to Gurumukh’s smiling advice in a kundalini yoga class: “We must start wherever we are, because if you don’t start somewhere, you’ll be nowhere.” And Tolkien: “Little by little, one travels far.”

Beautiful flowers and an abundant harvest to you and your magical family. 🙂

Beautifully presented. There is so much that we all want; an end to senseless killing and war and the chance to be free, grow and prosper in ways that reflect our hearts without the old manipulation tactics from any level. Perhaps it emerges now in manifestation as a result of the simple creative envisioning as more and more people unify their desires, to a point where the changes just show up, without the trauma and tensions and crisis. I abide by Picasso’s line “Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction.” So, too, I prefer to begin with creating, step by step the world I imagine which brings the destruction with it, and the heart-filled creation will be the stronger of the two.

    Hi Laura,

Thank you for your thoughtful response to Ines’s idea. One reason I mentioned you as a potential person to approach is because you and Ines share a lot of values and views on things; and you have a very grounded, holistic way of evaluating ideas. You always see all the pluses and pitfalls – and present them as truthfully as possible, no holds barred! You and Ines are both stellar in that regard 🙂

You are right though, without having a safety net set up it would be tough to survive a total crash – which is what we seem to be heading for anyway. The best idea is exactly what you wrote: do what you can to settle your own local situation first, so that you aren’t taken completely by surprise when the SHTF does hit the fan. And you have been giving this message very reliably for a long time now. In fact, anyone wanting to start their own gardens could use your site as a ‘how-to’ guide just by reading your last few years of posts!

Thanks again for your considered and careful response. If nothing else, this dialogue may get a few more people digging in the dirt, and that’s always a good thing!

    • Thank you, Anthony! Yes, I hope it gets more people digging in the dirt and/or building up the soil or growing in pots or Garden Towers or whatever. Get creative. It’s even given me some new ideas for our new yard, which presents very different challenges than the current venue for my permaculture design. LOL, watch out!!!

    • Thanks, Anthony, and it is actually quite good timing, as you can see from all the responses it has generated. Also, synchronously, I had just put in an order the night before for some more pucks from Orgonia: http://orgonia.bigcartel.com/

I got the Seer, Angel and Arkansas Traveler varieties to grid our new home for awhile before we move in. I also have some gorgeous pyramids and flower orgone pucks from Kieron, and of course my earlier stash from that blog post. The pucks in our houses will come with us, but those buried around the yard here will stay. It’s funny, because our yard is more gridded than the blue house yard, and the plants in our yard don’t get eaten as much by rogue whatever has munched the asparagus hedge and some fruit trees on the blue house property. It does make a difference!

Also, that is awesome news about the drought cure and the clean water. Lovely to hear scientific testing affirms that something has really changed. 🙂 I did a lot with Runes, as well, during the drought, doing my remote part to bust up the effects of the chemtrails. Teamwork all over the place! Thank you. 🙂

Thank you for sharing your and Ines’ wise and considered conversation. As the Beatles said in their son “Revolution”, “You say you want a revolution, well, you know, we’d all love to see the plan”. Here are the full lyrics, still pithy after all these years:

You say you want a revolution
    Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
    Well, you know
We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know that you can count me out
Don’t you know it’s gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
    Well, you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
    Well, you know
    We’re doing what we can

But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don’t you know it’s gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you’ll change the constitution
    Well, you know
We all want to change your head
    You tell…

By the way, Laura, I’m sorry for not approaching you first myself with Ines’s idea. It’s just that I thought it had merit; however, it is her baby, people know her from her blog, and she’d be more likely to get a response if she contacted people herself.

More importantly, I apologize for not checking first to see if you and Ines wanted to even spend time on this!! I’ve always been good at networking people together, but getting the timing right…not so much!! And I know you are super busy. But I really do appreciate what you said, and it sparked a lot of good conversations.

The impetus for writing Ines in the first place is that, as I just wrote her, I feel something major is imminent. I, like you and Ines, have had visions of what is (or might be) coming. Awareness of the financial system and all the chaos inherent in a market crash should be universal at this time.

I have noticed a lot of people lately who have been ‘slumbering’ finally wake up and look around and ask questions that I started asking years ago, especially now that Trump has gone backwards on almost all of his promises so early on. I feel that once the first real physical shock hits, there will be a new groundswell of people looking for information like what you have in your blog. Your blog is a valuable resource.

BTW: this is old news, but I forgot to thank you back in 2013 or ’14 about passing on holiday sale information on someone who produced orgone energy pucks. I bought some of them then, and immediately noticed a difference in quality of sleep (I have one of those nasty smartmeters next to my head).

I put them on the backburner for a while, but after my bad experience trying to come forward with hard data and undeniable proof of chemtrail spraying that I was seeing in my work doing toxicology studies on Sacramento river water for Sacramento County, I remembered Wilhelm Reich and decided to see if there really was something valid to pursue there. And there was.

I decided to purchase some more orgone generators, and found a couple who produce really stylish pyramid ones using raw gemstones. After seeing how much time and energy they put into their work, I gifted them about 80% of my gemstone collection to do with as they wished.

Last summer and later last winter, they made thousands of pieces of orgone and travelled up and down the center and coasts of both California and Oregon, throwing pieces out the window of their car and burying pucks near every telephone transmission tower that they could find. They had already done this for Southern California, where they live.

Since then, we have had RAIN!!! I was not sure if it was just a coincidence but it must be working, because though I still see a lot of chemtrails here, I am NOT seeing evidence of pollution in the river and the fish in our tests are healthy in river water!! And to top it off, I saw evidence that whoever is doing this gave up their plans for causing drought and instead they tried to herd all that water towards Oroville in an effort to burst that dam (which would basically doom agriculture here as well).

Anyway, the website I follow is thechembow.tumbler.com, and they sell their items at etsy.com I believe. Sharon Daphna and her partner, whose name I can’t remember. They have really gone out of their way to try to clear California skies!

    Thanks again, and take care!

Let me step in here to correct the URL. It’s http://thechembow.tumblr.com/ Any promotion of orgone generators is important. We need all the help we can get and I need to do my part again now that the temperatures are reliably warmer. 🙂
