Magic Works!

I just came back from our first 2015 Share the Bounty Week meeting — this one on the power of community gardens and gardens in communities. In the course of the meeting, I learned that all that work I did back in 2014 to ensure that the Goshen Comprehensive Plan included “sustainable sovereignty,” rather than just the cookie cutter plans for an Agenda 21 takeover of our city — including magical working — paid much bigger dividends than I ever imagined.

Not only has the assistant city planner become a good friend and ally, but Goshen was selected as the model for comprehensive planning — despite the fact that our plan strategically did not include many of the most top-down power grabs of other plans. Our plan also specifically mentions and encourages edible landscaping and front yard gardening. I knew that my friend had shared some of my ideas at the national level, but I did not know that the American Planning Association had recently made a mini-documentary featuring Goshen.

I’m sharing this here not to gloat, but to say that one person can make a difference. Magic can make a difference. Creating portals to preferred realities can make a difference. It is possible to the fight top-down co-opting of the sustainability movement simply by nurturing community instead of tearing it down with ideologies. It is possible to paint and encode freedom and healing into artwork and intend it as a magical working. That works. For the story of the portal door I painted in 2014 and the reasons behind that painting, please click here.

Thank you, Elen of the Ways, for finding ways and more ways to invite and foster blessings. So many communities either get torn apart by Agenda 21 (or now the 2030 Agenda) battles that pit those who care about the environment against those who care about sovereignty, or they end up with cleverly disguised, oppressive corporate takeovers and sweetheart deals. It is possible –and natural — to care about both sovereignty and sustainability. Originally, the Goddess of Sovereignty and the Goddess of the Land were one and the same. Originally, the ruler needed to prove himself worthy by symbolically uniting with the Land.

There are always so many behind the scenes details I cannot share in this kind of public space, but magic works. When you approach a challenge with love, imagination, creativity, and urgent need, never doubt the synergistic power of aligning with Nature and using any and all tools to make it so. Door Number 17 ~ Elen of the Ways.

A number of other synchronous answers to prayers and intentions unfolded at today’s meeting, too, and when I arrived home, I found an emailed link from reader Nancy speaking of a different art project using magic to shift the global trajectory. I like this one much better than John Lamb Lash’s Kalika War Party calls earlier this year, because this project uses an idea I also had — if “corporations are people,” then instead of cursing actual people, which brings karmic and ethical payback many will not want, this project works on the “corporate person” itself. For your consideration of any and all means to free our world from destruction: “Can a Magic Spell Take Down Monsanto?

Create what you do want, but don’t be afraid to get creative in how you remove that which you do not want. Beauty from ashes … growth from compost … new life from complete and utter B.S. Hey, stranger things have happened. If I tried to explain how things get done, no one would believe me. πŸ˜‰

  1. And please don’t forget orgonite as a tool of magic. I am not tooting my own horn here – any well made orgonite will facilitate a sort of magic where it is placed. You don’t have to buy it from me. Better yet – if you have a way of making it yourself without breathing the fumes of the initial process then make your own and spread it around.

  3. And to do personal magic you must be relaxed. I am seeing people who have become so beta brainwave dominant with all of the calculated scare message bombardment from the mass media that they cannot find a calm space for themselves. One way to break the spell – entrainment music. Some people may be down on this process, but I find it to be very helpful for people who are stuck in a loop of stress. One decent site for downloading such music:

For binaural beats headphones are required, but not for isochronic.

  4. Thanks, Bo. That’s also why I posted my previous compilation of links, music and suggestions — to help people return to the calmer alpha, theta or delta states from which effective magic flows: https://laurabruno.wordpress.com/2015/11/16/practical-and-spiritual-preparedness-for-chaotic-times/

  5. Great news Laura! Your wonderfully imaginative hard work to steer Goshen away from the Agenda 21 agents on the ground, the American Planning Association, have not only paid off for Goshen but perhaps the portal doors are working on the APA itself? Sure sounds like it if they’re choosing Goshen as the model even though you and your allies have rejected the APA’s more draconian social engineering, hmm, shift indeed, yay! Must feel so satisfying, I know you were ready to throw in the towel it was such an uphill battle to get anyone in Goshen’s policy circles to listen to you but just like it takes a long time to turn a giant ship in rough sea’s, Goshen is coming around, very inspiring and hey, go ahead and take real pride in your work, the divine mother/goddess certainly is!
Oh and this comment was written under the influence of a lovely originate pendant massing the heart area, yuuumm.

  7. Thank you, Mitch! Yes, it does feel satisfying to see seeds planted and nurtured long, long ago finally sprout and take root. It’s definitely not all my doing. We have some incredible people in Goshen, all working together. I’ve just been kind of the protector to make sure that certain things happen in certain pure ways, un-infiltrated by the usual suspects. So far, so good. Even more things came to light and into being today, seeded long ago, too, but those aren’t things I’ve written about on the blog. David’s smiling with me, though, and so are some local friends who know just how much I put in behind the scenes to make things so. It’s a celebratory day at Faery-Hof, enjoying the abundance and harvest. πŸ™‚

and thank you, Laura, for posting the artist Leyba’s book/artwork – which is strangely beautiful in its own dark way. I like his statement to “mirror” back negativity or destructiveness to them. I used to work in a corporation so I always remember there are people in them; however, the entity itself could be targeted. This made me think of visualizing the charter of the corporation being dissolved – sort of like how the Yippies in my day tried to levitate the Pentagon – silly when you hear it, but not so silly if a group of people visualized the dissolution actually happening! (like a spell?!)

  11. You’re welcome. There are precedents from long ago, too. During WW2, witches protected British shores from a Nazi invasion. They raised a storm so strong, it turned back the invasion. Native Americans also used protection magic not to get shot down. There were Native soldiers who could never be shot, no matter how many bullets fired at them. I received a message long ago that Monsanto was a “specter” like in Scooby Doo — a miasma, a ghost, a Glamour — that simply needed to be undone. A spell created it, a spell could undo the spell …

Interesting times, and the power is available to those with courage to utilize it. πŸ™‚

Laura your doors are a far better example of a magical working that won’t compromise our own energy or create/perpetuate other problems and works much better with Law of Attraction than cursing. The government officials who sold out our safety and well being they were entrusted with for campaign contributions or whatever else are part of the problem too. I like that your door incorporates sustainable sovereignty which by definition would exclude the corrupt officials.

There used to be a time where I didn’t think twice about sending curses so I don’t mean to sound judgmental with this. And I’m not saying that the destruction, health problems and even deaths Monsanto caused don’t merit cursing. But cursing, best case scenario, simply continues the nasty, negative pattern and postpones the real healing, possibly to the next lifetime(s). And worst case, unless a person knows what they’re doing, someone messing with curses can harm themself along with or instead of the intended target. Anger serves a purpose, but when we act out of anger we often regret it.

It’s important to remember it’s not just Monsanto causing harm, there’s plenty of other biotech companies creating poisonous food, vaccines and drugs. The people running these companies don’t care if we like them, they care about their profits. That’s why it’s so important to support companies doing the right thing instead of buying what’s convenient or cheapest which is usually some biotech product. We can curse these companies all day long but if we stop buying from them, and encourage friends and family to do the same, that can have a bigger and quicker impact than a curse.

  13. Hi Lize,
I agree with you. That’s why I always emphasize creating replacement systems and also why when John Lamb Lash was going on radio shows with his whole Kalika War Party manifesto, I did not in any way support it, from any angle. Too much karmic backlash, and really not ethical, especially since he was advising to go after individual people, some of whom may (unbeknownst to magical practitioners or the general public) actually be working within the system to change or sabotage the destruction. If one wants to focus on destruction — or what I would really suggest as a binding — then the concept of “corporate personhood” makes far more sense as a target. Money is energy, though, so you are absolutely right in suggesting to pull our money from all of the heads of the Beast. As you know from my various posts, I don’t advocate just one level of activism, but full integration of all the different levels and areas. That’s a lifelong and evolving process.

Yes, I carefully selected “sustainable sovereignty” because by definition it excludes what I want to exclude and invites what I want to create more of. Different people are at different levels of awareness and skill, though, so I included the link about the Monsanto spell/curse as food for thought. In Celtic times, Druids attended battles and recited satires that immobilized opponents. They were feared as much as the warriors. There are many layers of creation, just as there are many parts of gardening. We plant the seeds of what we do want, but without removing the weeds choking out new growth, those preferred seeds stand little chance. Shadow Work frees up the vast grey areas between “white” and “black” magic so that individuals can find their own balance of power. It is not for me to determine where those ethics lie, anymore than for me to make a judgment call on how someone chooses to defend their home if someone breaks in and threatens to rape or kill one’s family. Difficult ethical issues, yes, but ones that merit consideration on magical as well as mundane levels, particularly as corporate beasts poison, rape and pillage our world. We don’t have forever to correct course, and some tools work faster than others. πŸ™‚

Excellent point on the shadow work and I hope I didn’t sound critical of your posts or choosing to post the curse link. My commentary was intended as stuff to think about for anyone who might be reading and wanting to get a curse started. You make an excellent point about about self defense. People haven’t had adequate information readily available on gmo’s and chemicals going into everything to make the choice about avoiding them to stay safe. On that level, hitting back at those industries doesn’t seem much different than an act of self defense. Less of a question with what’s happening to the planet.. And totally up to the individual to act or not as they see fit.

I will admit what I like about cursing the mega corporations is that their controllers/.0001% are very much into their rituals so they can be affected by rituals directed at them πŸ™‚ provided its well thought out and designed to get past any defenses they would have in place.
