Good News on the TPP

It seems all the awareness raising and protesting of this secretive, destructive “free trade” treaty known as the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) has paid off. Yesterday, Senate Democrats gave Obama the no-go on Fast Track, which means at least a slow down of the march towards complete corporate tyranny. We need to continue to hold people accountable, but those who say it’s not worth raising your voice at all because “the fix is in” would do well to recognize that what we choose does matter. When we demand change in a peaceful, yet relentless way, things do shift.

I’ve no doubt the corporations and this Monsanto-and-big bank-friendly Administration have contingency plans in the works for such a significant setback; however, the failure to obtain Fast Track for the TPP has thrown a major monkey wrench into the speed of corporate takeover of every aspect of our lives, including national, state, local and individual sovereignty.

So, well done, people! Whether you used petitions, phone calls, marches, visualization, threatened boycotts, or my own personal favorite — literally flushed the TPP down the toilet using sympathetic magic with strong intent to purge oppression — any and all of these methods expressed a resounding “No!” that even the bribed and owned politicians in Washington could not ignore.

Now, let’s get busy creating alternatives: local, fair wages, creative, sustainable, enhancing the self-sufficiency and resilience of our communities. “We don’t need no stinkin’ TPP.” Our intentions, actions, prayers and voices opened a temporary vacuum. Let’s use that force to fill the current void with more and more of what we do want. The faster we create our own solutions and systems, the harder the sell for TPP and others like it.

In the midst of our hands on/in the ground work, let’s remember to take a moment to celebrate this victory. It’s too soon to tell if this will live up to its full potential as a game changer, but on the scoreboard of tyranny versus freedom, freedom just won an important battle. We’re moving along the road to Six of Wands style liberation:

UPDATE: Well, that moment was even shorter than I anticipated, given that the Senate just passed the TPP Fast Track only 2 days later: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-05-14/senate-passes-obamas-tpp-fast-track-trade-proposal . Can you say “cosmic reset”? Time to pull out ANY and ALL options, folks.

I love the magic….flushing the TPP down the toilet, along with all the oppression that comes/goes with it. Right on! That is good news. Thanks!

Thank goodness. A small David and Goliath victory. I agree – TPP down the toilet!

    • Yes, as long as we have sewer systems instead of composting toilets, might as well use them to rid the world of things like the TPP and those trying to ram it down the unwilling public’s throat. Two can play this game … but flushing goes bye-bye! 😉

Yay! I forgot the flushing maneuver (how could I?), but did some work with the phone & e-mails – excellent news!

I knew they couldn’t leave it for very long, because TPP is the key to so many of their plans.

They aren’t even trying to hide it any more – I mean, did you look at Obama’s picture in that article? I KNOW he’s not a Longhorns fan…this is just pure evil.

Are you familiar with Bradley Love’s work, from Jean Haine’s site? I think he was onto something when he said we need to remove consent for the things that are going on, and if enough of us did this, it would change things…would it be worthwile to try to get an on-line mass ‘revocation of consent’ party going? Like set an event date and a time and send it on to as many websites as possible? It couldn’t hurt…

    • I’m familiar with Bradley’s work. I agree that non-consent is A key, but not the only one. Most people, unfortunately, are too unimaginative and lazy to come up with their own alternative versions of reality and will happily or grumblingly continue to consent to whatever’s proffered. That puts pressure on those of us who do have visionary capacity to get some of these alternatives firmly in place. Get the local food and water harvesting modeled, so that people feel they have a choice besides evil and the scary unknown. Given the unknown or evil, most people actually opt for evil. The average person really needs an obviously more positive alternative. That’s why Problem, Reaction, Solution works so well. Rest assured the psychopaths have some kind of “solution” in store after revealing the evil of the empire. It’s probably BRICS or some other seeming savior. Our challenge is to create other pathways, other options, so that people are responsible for actual choices. If they still choose the engineered one, so be it, but at least they will have had a real choice. They won’t if people just sit around non-consenting. It’s non-consent, followed by a vision and then positive action in the real, tangible world that most people only recognize as “real.” Pie in the sky ideas won’t fly when people can’t put food on the table. This is a call to all visionaries, shamans, magicians and activists to get creative, get active and start now.

Ha, I almost wrote a second post saying just what you wrote! I agree *action* is needed, otherwise it’s all just ‘love and light’ and a whole lot of nothing getting done – like the ‘new cage’ movement. But most people I know don’t even realize how important it is to take just that first step: realizing that they DO have a choice, and not exercising it results in passive acceptance of ‘what is.’

But…how best to exercise that choice, in ways that will make a difference? I guess the only way is to do it personally on a local level, as you wrote. I just thought that getting a ‘critical mass’ of people saying “ENOUGH!” might get that ball rolling, with ideas sprouting from there. But thanks for your thoughts, and thanks for being an example of ‘what to do!’ to create the change that is needed.

    • Well, any and all action … so a non-consent movement could be a step, but personally, after all the coaching and intuitive work I’ve done with people over the past nearly 14 years, most people won’t budge or leave a sub-par or abusive situation unless a new, better opportunity that seems largely assured is staring them in the face. Supporting people to have courage and faith to move beyond the abuse is a major task made infinitely easier and faster if new alternatives have already been summoned. We don’t have time for people to feel like summoning alternatives is purely a mental exercise, especially if most people can’t even grasp the concept of non-consent. If we need to be teaching people something, I’d vote for modeling free, empowered behavior and providing tangible, obvious, 3D alternatives and skills. That way it’s a real choice. Pie in the sky, less so, even though, obviously, I believe in magic and know the power of shifting energies. That’s just abstract, scary and unknown to people, whereas fresh food, clean water, and real wages and respect are things that most people can appreciate, once offered them. Then, when contrast appears, it’s easy to choose the positive alternative, because it feels just as real and much better than the negative. My two cents….
