Fairy Tale Friday: The Star of Anu (The Gilgamesh Epic)

A delightful and insightful, soulful interpretation of Gilgamesh’s dream. Although a myth, this one speaks to many recent topics, including the collective and individual responsibility, as well as the importance of the soul’s own journey. “It is much easier to admire a great personality and become a pupil or follower of a guru or a religious prophet, or an admirer of a big, official personality – a President of the United States – or live your life for some military general whom you admire. That is much easier than following your own star.” – MLvF
I love the idea of “Fairy Tale Friday!” This goes right along with other posts on fairy tales and myths as repositories of deep wisdom. Thanks to Tania Marie for introducing me to this fabulous blog!
