Late Afternoon in the Garden

This is one of my favorite times of the day in the gardens — not due to the temperature, but due to the quality of light. I love how it seems to stream from heaven over all the flowers. Too pretty to keep to myself:

  1. What a lovely little kingdom you have there. A garden is about as near to heaven as we are likely to get to on this plane.

So very beautiful yet peaceful. I did think the pink flowers were Echinacea though, but you know what you’re growing. Wonderful to take the time to appreciate the beauty!

Absolutely fabulous! I bet you are well-pleased with the Little Eden you created with all that hauling and digging you did in the spring. Job well done! Tibetan prayer flags, they’re a must too. Thanks for sharing with us.

    • Thanks, Raven! Yes, the prayer flags used to be on our porch in Madison, and I just found them again while digging around in the garage. I agree. They add something special — continual prayers over the plants!

I kept trying to come up with a word for the colors of everything in Nature nowadays. Vibrant is what I use most often. But looking at these photos of your beautiful garden I finally came up with the word most appropriate. The colors are ALIVE! Thanks for sharing, Laura!
