This is one of my favorite times of the day in the gardens — not due to the temperature, but due to the quality of light. I love how it seems to stream from heaven over all the flowers. Too pretty to keep to myself:
Blessed Be!

What a lovely little kingdom you have there. A garden is about as near to heaven as we are likely to get to on this plane.

Thanks, Bo! I agree. “A garden IS about as near to heaven as we are likely to get on this plane.” But it’s pretty near!

So very beautiful yet peaceful. I did think the pink flowers were Echinacea though, but you know what you’re growing. Wonderful to take the time to appreciate the beauty!

Hey, Mama, yes, some of those pink flowers are Echinacea. Others are pink snap dragons, dianthus and zinnias. š

Absolutely fabulous! I bet you are well-pleased with the Little Eden you created with all that hauling and digging you did in the spring. Job well done! Tibetan prayer flags, they’re a must too. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks, Raven! Yes, the prayer flags used to be on our porch in Madison, and I just found them again while digging around in the garage. I agree. They add something special — continual prayers over the plants!

I kept trying to come up with a word for the colors of everything in Nature nowadays. Vibrant is what I use most often. But looking at these photos of your beautiful garden I finally came up with the word most appropriate. The colors are ALIVE! Thanks for sharing, Laura!
