Last Night’s Dinner!

salads

Almost too pretty to eat, but glad we did. 🙂 Everything came from our garden, except these particular beets and carrots, which I had purchased at the local Farmers Market on Saturday. Edible flowers and fresh herbs make summer salads extra fun! Shown here: calendula, nasturtiums and chamomile.

  1. Laura. That is absolutely beautiful. It looks like a floral arrangement. Did it taste as yummie as it looks. So inspiring!

  2. Thank you, Dawn! Yes, it tasted so incredibly fresh. The secret is dill. Just a tiny bit makes a salad pop. I also added parsley, dandelion, cilantro, lemon balm, chard, collards and kale. David made an apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt/pepper/cayenne dressing with a hint of birch sweetener. So good. 🙂

  3. Oh, and those are yellow pear tomatoes on mine. David initially didn’t want any tomatoes but ended up having some of mine. 😉 Also from the garden!
