Peonies!

My friend Kimber and I helped each other put up new trellises in each others’ yards, and I walked away from hers with these gorgeous bouquets of peonies. One’s for our house, the other for delivery tonight to David’s mom. Kimber has nine bouquets in her house! So pretty I had to share:

    • Hi Dawn, yes, they are so lovely! I had neverknown what they smelled like until walking into Kimber’s house today. The scent of nine bouquets all over the house was divine! Ours smells amazing now, too, and David’s mom’s little room where she sits smells so sweet, as well. I did see the Oracle Report right after I got the peonies. 🙂

Had to share Laura’s post on her gift of Peonies by a friend. So gorgeous. My parents grew these. Every time I see them it reminds me of childhood and I can remember the scent as I road by on my tricycle. Thank you Laura for bringing those beautiful memories back to me today. Enjoy your bouquet. I sure am! Hugs Dawn

    • They really are old fashioned. I can see why they bring back memories. They make me feel like a kid even though we never had peonies growing up. I love them in simple Ball jars. They speak for themselves without a fancy vase.

Laura – This is a crazy beautiful gift to me! When I sold my house, I no longer had my peonies which were super special to me. In addition, someone stole the blossoms! These beautiful, gorgeous peonies are a real gift. Also, I wanted to say how much the pictures of your garden mean to me also. It makes me really happy instead of sad about missing my own flowers and garden! Keep em coming whenever you care to share. It’s just awesome! Such fun!!

    Peace, Mari

How lovely! I have a row of them that originated with my mother’s grandmother, Sadie. I’m told I look like Sadie, which I find apropos since I’m carrying on her legacy of flowers. 🙂
