Blend In or Let Your Light So Shine?

Zen Gardner posted an article called, “When Chaos Hits: Blending In With Your Surroundings is a Must.” That post has generated some interesting discussion ranging from “just lie low and blend in” to “you can’t hide” to “Better to burn out brightly, sharing one’s light with all one might reach. than fade away deservedly.” I thought I’d share the portion of the conversation that I participated in, and you can read the rest of the comments by clicking here.

Blend in? Isn’t that what 90% of the world has already been doing their whole lives? Modern Orwellian society IS a blender. It blends. And that’s what most of the herd has been raised to do. Blend.

Now is the time to Stand. Stand Up. Stand out. Stand in…..but NOT stand down. The coward “survives”. Those living with actual purpose THRIVE and inspire others, by their open courage and conviction not to “blend in”. But to band together around common principle, and THRIVE. Leaving the ‘blending in’ to those of a lesser persuasion who value ‘life’ as but a commodity to use.

Better to burn out brightly, sharing one’s light with all one might reach. than fade away deservedly.

Live Courageously and with Higher Purpose.

Life is but a dream….and a short one at that.

Blessings

Agreed, NFR2014! I was just going to comment something similar — that an alternative is to shine so brightly that it makes you invisible to those who would harm you. Some people have come far enough on their journey that they will NEVER blend in by trying to be like everyone else.

I am reminded of Jesus “disappearing” in the crowd, but there is plenty of faery lore and indigenous lore of people becoming impervious to bullets or being unable to be shot down. Governments have been concerned enough about such things to research paranormal events and techniques, but most them require a purity of heart not found among those trying to develop those skills for ill intent.

The end of the movie, The Celestine Prophecy shows a great visual of this kind of invisibility happening when spontaneously needed. I garden. I prep and I know my neighbors and work to build community resilience. I have had occasions in life in which I needed to walk through very dangerous territory. I had nothing for protection except energy and whatever (substantial) protection I have from the other realms. People refused to harm me. Our home gets passed over when robberies occur all around us. There are ways in which shining brightly and not blending in saves you. I have lived to tell the tales and heard many similar. Blessings on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride…

Laura, that’s one great comment. 🙂

I’m living in a country where the mainstream tells us we are on the brink of civil war. I walk in the sunlit streets and talk to my neighbours – no civil war in sight or in their hearts. Why? because they/we have lived long enough to realize that everything is and has always been in a state of flux.

Yes, it does appear to be a tipping point right now and not only in this south east Asian country.
What is great about a tipping point is – that it can be tipped!

Tipped through the power of synchronous focused intention to manifest a world with greater kindness, compassionate action, clear thinking but with less greed and ego dominance.

This conscious redirection of focused intention on a shared basis lifts the spirits of those involved.
It is palpable,
You can feel it.
It increases the vibration rate of the energy fields of those involved. It not only allows you to become invisible to those who resonate at a lower level than yours, but it radiates out into the community, helping others to feel more confident and empowered in turn.

There’s no better time to do that than now!

@Soliel: “What is great about a tipping point is – that it can be tipped!” Exactly! Continued blessings on your inspirational journey. 🙂

I very much like your vision Laura (and NFR2014′s as well). Unfortunately, I think it may lack a fundamental acknowledgement of our present reality, a reality that we have collectively allowed. A reality that has demonstrated that when the sovereigns (that’s us) allow it, that evil can triumph over right, ultimately via force. This force will always be exerted by other humans or the machines that we have created.

Shining a light into as many hearts and minds as possible is critical, both now and then. But when that heart and mind is immovably employed as an agent of those that wish for our ultimate destruction, and is projecting said force and violence in our direction, then for the sake of this present existence, we must now outlast them as we pursue “the road back”, through all means that are compatible with universal love: that is non-aggression with vigorous defense.

Their sick monuments dot the landscape as trophies, and their history pages pay false homage to the victims of their murderous paradigm. Martyrs cannot tell their stories, as their stories will be twisted, then retold for them (Yeshua the Nazerene comes to mind).

@Scooter: I am very much aware of the challenges that face us. After extremely careful assessment of my skills, temperament, values and direct life experiences, I’ve made a calculated choice to live as I live because I have found it — consistently — to be the most effective. I also know veterans of various wars, and the psychic ones survive. I know that not everyone knows how to do this, nor do I expect the majority to step into this level of awareness. I’m simply acknowledging that it IS possible. I have witnessed it in my own life and others. I’ve had our car approached by muggers with guns who left completely dazed, confused and smiling, unaware of what “hit” them.

Our neighbors had their stolen goods returned and were extra blessed after I put a return “tag” on anything taken from our two properties. (Our house, though the most logical one to steal from on our block, is always passed over for robberies … and wisely so, I might add.) I have been in extremely dangerous spiritual traps and Houdini’d my way out as effectively as the more mundane 3D traps. It’s about energy, awareness and cooperation/willingness to accept help from the Otherside. That allows me to step into really dark, shadowy situations to help people that I otherwise could not safely assist.

I don’t care whether or not I become a martyr — no interest in that. I have enough awareness of my past lives and enough communication with people from beyond the grave that I have never been afraid to die — even when it seemed imminent or already to have happened. I realize I’m the weird one, but I am not the ONLY one able to access this level of protection and awareness. I’m simply offering a different perspective for people who, realistically, have zero hope of ever blending into the background. Some people stick out no matter what. If that’s the case, then better to shine so brightly you blind those who would harm you … or remove yourself from their frequency and level of awareness. I have personally had experiences in which my frequency was so vastly different from those around me that they could not see me or acknowledge me. It’s not unlike speaking such volumes of truth that people just ignore you. 🙂

  5. Reblogged this on Tania Marie's Blog and commented:
This post from my dear friend Laura Bruno shares some interesting and insightful comments on how you can choose to maneuver through chaotic and challenging times, as well as “potential” dangers. I happen to agree with all of Laura’s comments, and have experienced exactly the same, so for me, they hold true and is how I can confidently say that it IS possible to be invisible and thrive amidst anything. I also happen to have absolutely no fear of death, given my own experiences, so this lends to a feeling of constant peace and harmony within, which I do feel also supports courage and trust in divine unfolding. I hope you enjoy reading the commentary exchange and I’ll be back at blogging tomorrow after I get back to things here upon arriving home. Shine on!!

I would say for everything there is a season. A time to shine brightly, a time to blend in. The wisdom lies in knowing the where and when for each. Sometimes you blend in now so you can survive to shine later.

Very interesting discussion. I’m thinking we can do both, blend in and shine at the same moment. It’s called 5D, we just shine ourselves right out of view! Laura talked about being in such a high frequency state that others don’t see you. I have been there many times too. We’re all almost there for good, some are a little closer than others, and everyone has a different POV depending on which rung of the ladder they’re on.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  8. I’ve posted this quote/poem before, but it seems appropriate as a commentary to all the wonderful comments here:

    Risk

    And then the day came,
    when the risk
    to remain tight
    in a bud
    was more painful
    than the risk
    it took
    to Blossom.
