How Wolves Change Rivers

Thanks to Mary and Mitch, who both sent me this video at approximately the same time. Nature lovers will enjoy the gorgeous scenery at Yellowstone, and I love the underlying message of how one small group can make a powerful difference when aligned with Nature.

On a not unrelated note: if you feel so led, please join me in sending extra love and support to the Nature Spirits and Elementals at Yellowstone, as they fight for victory over some recent unnatural challenges with unfathomable ripple effects. The land and its beings are strong, but they can use and appreciate our positive and healing energy. Those who know Reiki, please consider sending the Mental Emotional Balance symbol to Yellowstone, as that mitigates all sorts of imbalances. Much gratitude.

When wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in the United States after being absent nearly 70 years, the most remarkable “trophic cascade” occurred. What is a trophic cascade and how exactly do wolves change rivers? George Monbiot explains in this movie remix.

  4. Me and my family go to West Yellowstone every year as my wife’s family has a ranch just outside the park and a few miles from the town of West Yellowstone itself. I have a lot of fun “gifting” the town with orgonite which I pack in my suitcase to get it there. After a few years of this the town’s energy has shifted for the better. There are lots of big radio and microwave towers in town which are serving the whole park for cellphone reception – a lot of electropollution. Orgonite has pretty much neutralized the adverse bio-effects. On the ranch there was a small ranch cemetery that was somewhat haunted with unquiet spirits. One year we stayed in one of the out-cabins near the little cemetery and could hear “people” walking the gravel road nearby all night long. I remember getting up several times in the middle of the night with flashlight trying to see who the “people” were, but no one ever showed. After I gifted the cemetery with buried orgonite the obsessive pacing on the road ceased.

  7. Deep ecology is blossoming rapidly now. My son is getting a degree in Geographical Information Systems (modern cartography) and especially with the use of lidar (infrared laser aerial surveying) all sorts of subtle relationships are coming into focus. We are going to be masters of patterns – seeing them, and nurturing them.

Thank you for sharing this Laura, it made my morning and awakened my heart.
My instinct has always been with wolves, like birds, that their calls sing the natural world into being, from a place of the deep love, the deep magic that holds the cosmos together. The place we access only with our hearts. Our Hearts and the Earth are one and the wolves and the birds show us the way. Perhaps this is the hidden/magical way the wolves changed the course of the river. I like to think so anyway!
    Love to allx

  10. Laura, I absolutely loved this post. I have always loved the idea of the reintroduction of wolves into this area. Now watching this it makes sense on such a grand scale, more than any of us I think could have fathomed. I have been working with Reiki myself on this area after I had heard of the energies that they had been assaulted with. I love the idea of putting the emotional/mental symbol there, planting it just like a seed to assist the strong spirits of the land to continue to hold protection and stability over this magical place. Thanks again.

  13. Hi Laura, There has been a number of earthquakes at Yellowstone today including a 5.0. The work that we did to support the Elementals and spirits of the land., do we need to do more work. Not clear if these are of nature or of an artificial nature. There is already msm reports of super volcano ready to erupt and seeming fear mongering again. Love dawn. I’ll be happy to do more reiki if that will help.

  14. Well, Reiki can’t hurt! I know the work we did helped, but it sure would be nice if we don’t need the supervolcano to go off. Much love! I will send some extra energy, too.
