Laura, there’s been a lot to do lately, from Cameron Day’s blistering warning’s to many other’s, that the Archangel’s are more often than not, demiruge false light being’s that do not have our best interest at heart, therefore best to only pray to God/dess, Creator, Spirit, Gaia/Sophia, etc. I have always liked Doreen a lot and yet I have completely shut down any ave’s of communication with angels, archangel’s to be on the safe side however a part of me does feel that’s a little extreme, that I/we all have angel’s to help us if we ask for assistance, I admit to being confused about this.

    • In my experience, there ARE good, kind angels who ARE willing to help. The red flags would be if there’s an icky aftertaste of giving away all your power to them, rather than working as co-creators. There’s a lot, lot, lot of fear porn happening right now. There are also a lot of channeled writings CLAIMING to be from archangels that often aren’t. It’s a pretty big mess. Best to go inside and feel who you align with. There are some gods and goddesses that I personally wouldn’t opt to work with either!

I posted this particular Doreen Virtue, because I loved her dedication at the end, as well as her encouragement to get out there and DO some of the co-creating, not just sit inside imagining and praying.

People are really struggling right now and really afraid, because they’ve gotten suckered into giving away their power to disempowering beings. Here’s a clue: if the message robs you of your own agency or intellect, then it’s probably not a good message. If a message encourages you to take responsibility for your own life, get INTO Divine flow and allow yourself to receive natural, loving support, then it’s probably a good message. It’s important to check in with how you’re feeling before, during and after interactions.

I think much of Cameron Day’s material is good, but there’s also such a thing as throwing the baby out with the bath water. We can use sincere assistance at this time, keeping in mind that we do not need to make oaths and sign away our agency in order to have friendly support. If anyone asks/requires you to do that, I’d suggest running in the opposite direction. 🙂

Baby and the Bathwater is a topic near and dear to my heart… Sometimes it’s easy to want to isolate or shut out in put completely in an effort to control a situation where we feel threatened or unsafe. Thank goodness for the gift of discernment! If we exercise our discernment, we can begin to weigh the message against our internal feather of truth, letting go of judgments in favor of or against the messenger. I have found that so-called ill witching spirits can teach us a lot, if we have ears to hear and beings we might have given carte blanche to can sometimes offer codependent advice.

To me, its become more and more important to weigh the content of the message being given. I have known beings to turn from one side of the coin to the other based on my vibratory state – in other words, the state *I* was in determined the character of the transaction. There is no hard and fast rule, no matter how much we might want there to be one, where we can say “all beings from this group are safe” or “all beings from this group are unsafe”. If we think about it, can we do that with humans? With animals? Or is it more wise to go by the individuals behavior and content of the message?

Miyazaki demonstrates this in his anime stories such as “Sprited Away” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”. He shows us that within ourselves is both light and dark, simultaneously, and that both have something to teach, and that both can be harmful.

This is yet another legacy of early new age movement of the 90’s and 00’s, imo. We were asked to connect to beings but then surrender our agency to them, placing all value on their identity rather than really looking at each message for it’s content and alignment. This is, in part, how so many channelers went awry and strayed way off course, paying attention only to the business card handed them.

Guess I had a few thoughts on this one… Thanks for the space. 🙂 Might repost this on my own blog… 😀
